My husband and I stayed here for a spa visit, and it certainly won't be our last visit. Even though not everything was fully functional (e.g., the TV in the room), everything was lovingly decorated, everyone there was incredibly warm and accommodating, and the food was a true delight (some of the best bread I've ever eaten)! The walk to the spa takes less than 10 minutes, and there's free parking next to the guesthouse... Highly recommended! Thanks for everything! :-)

We can highly recommend the Gasthaus zum alten Brauhaus. Tanja and Hannes are the perfect hosts, the food was delicious and the service was also very friendly. I would give more than 5 stars!!! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the portions were filling. The chef also does everything right 🤭 The manager ensures that no wishes are left unfulfilled. Very nice, clean, and cozy atmosphere. You feel at home here, and we'll be happy to come back again and again.

We girls ate there for the first time yesterday and fell in love. How could it be otherwise on Valentine's Day... The restaurant was packed. Luckily we had reserved a table. The service staff were super nice and really quick. Even the two owners pitched in and were perfect hosts. We each had a starter and a main course. We actually wanted to try some of the delicious desserts, but our stomachs were already so full that we just couldn't do it anymore. The schnitzels were the best I've ever eaten. There was a love letter to the chef... it was Valentine's Day! In the restaurant itself there are beautiful pictures by Claudia Beck - an artist from Bad Münstereifel - which can be purchased on site. We will definitely come back. For us it was a perfect evening that became almost magical afterwards. If you are looking for a location for a wedding, this is the perfect place for you. Not only is the large chandelier in the hall impressive, but an acoustic ceiling creates the perfect atmosphere. The bride also has the opportunity to arrive in sweatpants and a bag and pack and then get ready on site. There is so much love in the entire design that it would be a waste not to get married there. We wish you continued success!!! Keep it up! We are absolutely thrilled with you!

Yesterday the four of us were guests at the “Alten Brauhaus” and everything was absolutely perfect! Attentive, friendly service, very good food and an atmospheric location. Everything was spot on - we were all more than satisfied and can only recommend the restaurant to everyone.

We spontaneously went out for dinner on Sunday and can only be surprised at the negative reviews. We waited a little longer for the food, but it was very tasty, freshly prepared and plentiful. The tomato soup was a hit and the sauerbraten and veal liver were also delicious. I might have liked some bread with the soup. Otherwise everything is good. It's not that easy to get service staff these days. Because of this, a new restaurant in Zülpich has closed again. So if you know it will take a while, you could perhaps come a little earlier. We are thrilled and would love to come back.

We walked in, were assigned a table, then waited 25 minutes until we were asked for drinks. We had gotten the menu ourselves in the meantime. A table next to us was the same, people left at some point when no one came. For the high prices there, you can expect a little more service, and many guests would then drink more. Food was good.

Today we had dinner in the brewery with 12 people. Service and the quality of the food were excellent. All the dishes arrived almost at the same time. Absolutely recommended. We and our guests will definitely come back very quickly.

Last night we went to the Oktoberfest/company party with our team. From telephone contact to discussing the food, rooms, etc. everything was perfect. Freddy the chef and his team conjured up a great buffet, the service girls were in a good mood and very friendly. We were allowed to make music and had a lot of fun. Excellent cuisine. The steak was on point. And one of the best pieces in a long time. Maybe everything costs €1 more. But it's worth every cent.

Es wäre um vieles besser den Mittagstisch gerne anzubieten, aber bitte doch auch eine Speisekarte. Es war unangenehm zu hören nein nur die zwei Gerichte das an einem Sonntag Mittag finde ich nicht gut.

We had a spontaneous meal in the beer garden today with our 3 kids. The selection on the menu wasn't exactly extensive and there weren't any options for the kids. We then ate extremely overpriced schnitzel with fries. The plate didn't look particularly inviting. Two small, very thin dry schnitzels with a handful of dry brewery fries... fries with a lot of peel on the potato. I was looking forward to a juicy schnitzel with hearty fried potatoes. For the price I would have been better off eating a steak somewhere else. The 2 x ketchup and 2 x mayonnaise in mini format, which were absolutely necessary due to the dryness, were of course also charged at a sum of EUR 3.60... Great! At the end we had to find out that there was a different menu in the restaurant. Unfortunately too late. Summary: way too expensive and not great in terms of taste. There is definitely no reunion for us. Too bad :-(

It's nice that there's so much life in the brewery again. The whole thing was renovated lovingly and with the right eye. Been there many times as a child, then not for many years... because no one wanted/could take on this huge task of starting over... Now we like being there, it's nice to sit outside and for us it's just really pleasant because we can bring the dogs with us. All in all, a great concept that can hopefully be implemented for many years to come! We'd love to come back! We were always warmly welcomed and served quickly. For example, a cool shandy with schnitzel and the Brauhaus dippers was our highlight yesterday!

The condition is very trying. However, when the beer garden is open, these reach their performance limits and there are significant delays. This can sometimes lead to very long and annoying waiting times. The food itself is impeccable.

It's a shame, this restaurant could really do something with it. We sat at the table for 40 minutes and asked for the menu 3 times, unfortunately to no avail. Then we paid and went somewhere else. The service staff is a disaster, friendliness isn't always enough...

It was our first time visiting the brewery, but to be honest, we were somewhat biased by the negative reviews. Guys, this is such awesome food!!! Such a delicious cutlet and a schnitzel to melt away!!! All fresh ingredients, a professional was at work. We were so excited, we'll be back. The service was super friendly, attentive and very kind. You will soon have new regular customers :-) Keep it up!!!

We were there yesterday with a bicycle group of 10 people. Although only two tables outside were occupied, it took almost 20 minutes for the waiter to take a drink order. When asked how long the meal would take, he replied, about 45 minutes. We then drank a beer and then drove off again. We won't be going there again.

Nice beer garden, generally nice service but……. We were there with 14 people in the beer garden and nothing worked from 6:20 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. 4 of us didn't get anything to eat until the end, only two Leites got the food they ordered. The others got something cold, half raw or something wrong. Malt bread was three really tiny slices of baguette. You had forgotten the dip... it came after an hour and the bread was already gone because you were hungry. We didn't get anything new either...Or at least the question. All around…terrible. The boss wasn't there and didn't know anything about this. The next day it was probably exactly the same... my colleagues were there, the same game. The boss wasn't there either. It's a shame, maybe it will get better...

We were in the beer garden on July 30, 24 around 6:00 p.m. Okay, you can still accept that there isn't the entire menu to choose from, but it's not logical. But what came to the table after more than 45 minutes (there wasn't much going on) was subpar and completely overpriced. A salad bowl (the salad was shrunken, sandy with dressing from the bottle) and 5 prawns for 19 euros, another with chicken strips for 17 euros. The steak from the grill was just dry and tough, but a few fries cost 5 euros. Conclusion: no thanks, never again.

A great restaurant with very kind and polite hosts and service team! There were three of us and we hadn't made a reservation! (It's always best to make a reservation as it was pretty full!) We received a very warm welcome and were able to order quickly. Sauerbraten and cutlet were perfectly prepared and very tasty! Price/performance top! The chocolate mousse was also delicious! Many thanks again to the entire team for this lovely evening in the brewery! ❤️

Superbly decorated restaurant. Modern but very comfortable. Due to the weather, the beer garden was not open, but guests were even allowed to sit there upon request. There was a warm welcome. The food (sauerbraten and cutlet) was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The coleslaw was actually the tastiest in my life. The service was very attentive and friendly. If we didn't live so far away, this would be our new local bar. We'll be back soon anyway.

Discovered by chance after a hike. We sat on the terrace and ate freshly grilled food. Super nice service. Top renovated, beautiful ambience.

At the beginning of July my wife and I spontaneously went to the brewery. The beer garden was not very comfortable. Reminded me of a beer garden geared towards mass tourism. We ordered a grilled pork chop with fries. We were there twice. For the first and last time. Among other things because overpriced. For a grilled cutlet 20.50 euros and a handful of fried potatoes (French fries were out) for 3.50 euros is already steep. For these prices you get a steak with a side dish and salad. Overall including drinks totally overpriced. When I paid after the meal and asked for a receipt, they wanted to send me the receipt via email because it was not yet possible to print out receipts.

We had a wonderful afternoon on the occasion of our gold wedding anniversary. The team was very attentive and the selection was excellent. Our guests were totally thrilled. We were surprised by the variety of starters and the number of main courses. Chef Freddy's suggestions hit the mark 100%. A great quality. Thank you for hosting our party.

A very nice brewery that was brought back to life after the flood! The inner courtyard is beautifully designed and perfect to sit comfortably and relax! Perfect for families with children, as the risk of a child running into the street is very low! All in all, great implementation!

An absolute disaster🤦🏼‍♀️ It's a shame about the great location. We arrived at this pretty inn full of anticipation with a group of 12 from the company, after a long wait (over 90 minutes). The service finally came and took the order. After another 40 minutes the drinks finally arrived, they were either stale or tasted like dishwashing liquid. The food came almost one at a time, with 12 people, the first ones were finished while the last 5 still weren't served anything. The hosts were otherwise busy and were not interested in supporting their staff. It was more important to drum embarrassingly on his drum 🤦🏼‍♀️ Guests next to us were thrown out because they also complained. An absolute no-go. Not to be outdone when it comes to arrogance. The friendliness of the hosts after a complaint was questionable and unacceptable. Prices are a disgrace for the quality, service and host qualities. One star for the beer garden...otherwise 5 thumbs down for a company team evening that was better imagined. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

We've been looking for places in our area where you can have really tasty food for a long time. Or you can just stop in transit to have a snack and chat. A beautiful building, a super beautiful courtyard, great interior, lovingly furnished, and food that melts in your mouth, plus friendly service. We had a great day with you. We are so happy to have finally found something in our homeland. We take our hats off to you. That was definitely not the last time. We will be back !

We had reserved a table for two for May 7th. When we arrived we were ignored, so we simply had to take the next available table. The used dishes were still there. Unfortunately this was still there 20 minutes later when we left without ordering anything. Despite asking the staff, we didn't manage to at least order drinks or get the menu in 20 minutes. It's a shame, the atmosphere is great, but we'll definitely never go here again,

The brewery has reopened a few weeks after the flood, under new owners with a new workforce. We can highly recommend it, simply top. Delicious beer, very good cuisine and the atmosphere used to be great. Price/performance is right and we can recommend it. In the future, this will be our location for bike trips and delicious food in the evening.

We used the “goose taxi” for Christmas and were very satisfied with the very good and friendly service as well as an excellent festive meal. Our 10 guests were also full of praise! Many thanks to the brewery team for a successful Boxing Day. Unfortunately the very good restaurant is closed!!! I still have to test new owners 😉

After 2.5 hours of waiting for food, the owner gave us a free bottle. So far so good, it can happen. Also an apology which is acceptable. An hour later we asked how the food was going. We were then informed that food had been forgotten, which was mentioned. We should go. I told a neighbor that we were about to be thrown out because we asked for food. Quote from the owner: Do you still want to have the microphone so that everyone can hear it?

It's a shame that a star even has to be given here. Today we visited this “restaurant” for the first and last time. At 6 p.m. we met up with friends for the planned meal. After ordering the drinks including food, we wait. Half an hour later the drinks were delivered. After asking three times when the food would come, they said: we'll listen! 2.5 hours later the owner had the idea to ask if no food had been delivered yet. This was followed by a drum part from the owner. End of the song: After more than 3 hours... Burgerking has fixed it 👍🏻 After complaining and having a growling stomach, we were thrown out! Tip: bring your own food, drinks are available for free 😉

To the Motzers here...Hannes and Tanja have rebuilt the brewery with a lot of love and are still at the beginning. Just think about it carefully... Nowhere does everything run smoothly. Not even here.

After the funeral in the Iversheimer Friedwald we went to the Gasthaus zum alten Brauhaus. We had a comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated room to ourselves. The service was good and the ingredients from the previously selected buffet were freshly prepared and very tasty.

It was a wonderful evening with delicious food

On May 13th we were there with five people. We waited 45 minutes for a drink. We would have liked to eat asparagus as stated on the internet, but unfortunately it was not offered. My daughter is vegetarian. For vegetarians there was only salad. We ordered bread with lard as a starter. That only came with the main course. Unfortunately, EC card payment was not possible. Conclusion: for the time being we won't be coming back, it's a shame.

Unfortunately, we obviously had a bad day. Not much going on and yet the staff wasn't able to bring drinks quickly even though there were four of them. In addition, the first drink tasted like dishwater and we had to wait half an hour to pay. It was the same with the first drink.

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday with a small group (10 people) in the old brewery. It was a completely successful evening. From the warm welcome, to the cozy atmosphere, to the attentive but unobtrusive service and the very good food! We all felt very comfortable and all our plates were empty except for the last crumb. We will definitely be happy to come back!!!

We were really looking forward to our visit to this restaurant, especially because of the special dishes advertised on the website, such as beef brisket and ox cheeks. Unfortunately, we found out on site that these dishes are no longer offered. That was disappointing, as these dishes were the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately, the food we ordered came to the table cold and in no way justified the high price. The taste was ok but not what we expected at these prices. Overall our visit was disappointing. We were hoping for more and probably won't be back.

Hervorragende Qualität, Klassische Gans mit Beilagen zum Mitnehmen. Coronabedingt eine großartige Alternative. Portion absolut ausreichend für 4 Personen zum fairen Preis. Personal super freundlich und hatten uns trotz kurzfristiger Bestellung noch eine Gans organisiert. Als Nachtisch gab’s noch leckere Bratäpfel dazu Werde auf jeden Fall hier zum Wiederholungstäter 👍👍👍

Hier gibt es einen schönen Biergarten, gutes Essen und selbstgebrautes Bier. Drinnen war ich nicht, aber es sah alles sehr stilvoll aus! Toiletten sind direkt vom Biergarten aus zu erreichen.

Falls hier jemand eine Hochzeitslocation sucht und diese in Betracht zieht, würde ich definitiv davon abraten. Denn Frau Stock, die sich um die Hochzeiten kümmert, hat leider keine anderen Talente als mit einer fiesen Miene durch die Gegend zu laufen. Sie kümmert sich um nichts und will nur, dass es so abläuft, wie sie es gerne hätte. Da würde mir der Spaß und die Lust auf meine Hochzeit definitiv vergehen!
