Unfortunately, the first impression was very disconcerting. When I called the restaurant, an employee who introduced himself as Nava spoke in a very unusual, almost circus-like voice. This came across as unprofessional and left a strange impression from the start. This impression unfortunately continued upon entering the restaurant. The place appeared generally neglected: there was visible dirt under the tables, on the chairs, and even on the tables themselves. The cutlery that was served also didn't look clean. The atmosphere in the dining room was particularly unpleasant. It was clearly audible that the manager was shouting loudly at employees – this could be heard throughout the entire restaurant and made guests feel very uncomfortable. The waiters seemed visibly stressed; there were clearly far too few staff members for a full house. In addition, it was very disconcerting to witness a so-called manager or shift supervisor, who was also working as a waiter, speaking disparagingly about guests at the front bar. This person was clearly identifiable as a manager, as they weren't wearing an apron but a shirt, unlike the other waiters. I also found their choice of words inappropriate and at times even insulting. Overhearing such conversations as a guest is extremely unpleasant. It was also disturbing that this manager/shift supervisor loudly announced throughout the entire restaurant that they were going "for a smoke." As a non-smoker, it's particularly unpleasant to then see this person return from the kitchen area and serve food again without any visible hygiene measures, such as handwashing, being observed. I can't understand how such a well-known franchise could allow its Euskirchen location to deteriorate to this extent. Overall, the visit was very disappointing, and I cannot recommend the restaurant in its current state. 0/5!

We visited this restaurant with great anticipation, but were unfortunately disappointed in several respects – especially regarding the service and organization. Our visit got off to a rocky start as soon as we entered the restaurant. We were initially ignored at reception and had to wait quite a while, even though staff were nearby. A quick glance or a simple reminder would have been enough to make us feel welcome. Once seated at our table, we encountered another irritating issue: there were two different prices for the Sunday brunch. We were explicitly refused the cheaper option without any explanation that we could understand or find transparent. This felt rather unfriendly and left us with a bad feeling. However, the service was particularly disappointing. Throughout our entire visit, no waiter or waitress came to our table to take our drink order – despite staff repeatedly passing by. After a considerable wait, we finally went to the bar ourselves to order drinks. This was clearly frowned upon, which made the situation even more unpleasant. However, we simply had no other choice, as otherwise no order would have been taken at all. Another point that was more reminiscent of self-service than a table-service restaurant: Guests cleared their own dishes. This wasn't explained or communicated, but simply assumed. On the positive side, the food itself was excellent. The dishes were delicious, fresh, and flavorful – exactly what one expects from L’Osteria. It's all the more disappointing, then, that the very poor service and the staff's lack of attention overshadowed the good food. In conclusion: The food was good, but the service was clearly inadequate. A lack of organization, poor communication, and virtually no table service significantly marred the overall impression. We hope that improvements are urgently needed, as the potential is definitely there.

The food was delicious, with a good selection. There's a play tower for the kids outside. Large room, plenty of space. Sunday brunch is highly recommended; great selection, coffee included. Only tea is extra. We always enjoy coming back.

Hello, we arrived at the restaurant yesterday, Sunday, at 6:30 pm, before our reserved time. Our table was already free. The first dishes arrived at 7:15 pm. There was a noticeable high volume of takeout orders, which were probably given priority. The staff were friendly. The portion sizes of the pasta dishes need improvement. The serving dish contained a very thin layer of pasta, about 30 pieces, 1.5 cm in size, topped with Gorgonzola sauce – very meager. In my estimation, this would be a child's portion for €14. I paid €5 for the additional 10-15 pieces of pasta I requested. Pasta costs only a few cents for a decent portion, so it's very inexpensive and shouldn't be served so stingily. According to the German Nutrition Society (DGE), a plate of food for an adult should weigh 400-450g. (This dish is not listed as a side dish.) The staff indicated a predetermined weight. We were there on Boxing Day – it's best to make a reservation on days like that ;) It was a lovely stay. Cozy, with a relaxed, family-like atmosphere. The ambiance is open and welcoming. There are smaller tables as well as larger tables for 10+ people if needed. The service is friendly and attentive, with a smile. Unfortunately, our order arrived a bit late (which sometimes happens), which was a shame. We ordered pasta and pizza. The pasta portion was quite generous (we were full, no doubt!), but the pizza didn't arrive until 10 minutes later, by which time we'd practically finished the pasta. It's a bit awkward having to watch the person opposite you eat. But overall, it was a successful visit; we felt comfortable, and that's the most important thing. The icing on the cake would have been a charging station for our electric vehicle in the fairly large parking lot in front of the building. There are charging options nearby, but they're rather sparse. Retrofitting would certainly be advantageous here, I think.

I went for breakfast brunch today. I understand it's not always easy and every day is different. With comments like "I don't feel like being around the customer" and stupid remarks, you have to expect some pushback. Our service wasn't great for the first hour, and we didn't feel comfortable. A young man then salvaged things with his friendliness. The fact is, the customer pays, and no matter what I've experienced before, that doesn't give me the right to treat customers like that.

The only thing that bothered us was that the pizza extended far beyond the edge of the plate, making it difficult to cut, even though this is a characteristic of L’Osteria. We arrived on Friday at 7 PM with four adults and two children. Despite having a reservation, we had a 15-minute wait. The server didn't come to our table to ask about drinks until 10 minutes later. Two of our drinks were served 0.5 liters each without us asking. After another 15 minutes, the server came to take our food orders. We ordered two pasta dishes and three pizzas, one of which was supposed to be a two-to-one combination. After 20 minutes, a server brought the first pasta dish, which was unfortunately the wrong one. We argued and got a refund. Then we ordered two pizzas, one of which was a two-to-one combination, and neither was shared nor did it come with a second plate. Five minutes later, the third pizza and a pasta dish arrived. Meanwhile, we continued arguing about the incorrect pasta dish. The server's mistake. After about 20 minutes, the ordered pasta dish finally arrived. The other guests had already been eating the entire time. The pizza was ice cold after just 5 minutes, and the pasta dish that was brought along was also cold after 5 minutes—cold enough for a child to eat without blowing on it. The whole experience cost almost €100 and was not worth the money. A complete and utter disgrace. For now, we're fed up with Losteria and will stick to small Italian restaurants in downtown Euskirchen.

One pizza was completely burnt; we were supposed to get a new one, but it didn't arrive even after 40 minutes. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend this place. It's absolutely not worth the price. We'd rather make our own pizza.

When you say "I'd like to order, please," you get the response "Please wait until I'm finished here" instead of "Right away, just a moment, please." I actually like L'Osteria, but this place should be shut down. At least they're kid-friendly now 🤣 The worst place ever. The restaurant was half empty, you arrive with two kids, and they tell you, "You're here without a reservation with two small children? Well, it could easily take 40 minutes before you can order, and that's difficult with kids." Okay, thanks a lot, goodbye forever. I'd rather take my money somewhere else.

We went to L'osteria for dinner tonight. Having visited L'osteria in several other cities, we thought we'd be just as satisfied here. There's nothing to complain about regarding the food itself, but the service was a different story. We had to wait ages for our food to arrive. The server took a very long time to take our order, and the food arrived even later. On top of that, we ordered the bruschetta as an aperitif, and everything just arrived at the table all at once. The server was so unfriendly that she didn't manage a single smile the entire evening. To top it all off, we didn't leave a tip because we all felt the server didn't deserve it at all. When we paid, we were met with nothing but head shakes and not even a "goodbye" or "have a nice evening," apart from the "thank you" that we received all evening. Very disappointing.

After making a table reservation (planned meal, not a walk-in), it took 30 minutes for the menus to arrive, and another 60 minutes for the appetizer. Honestly, after a 1.5-hour wait without even having the main course, I lost all interest in the meal. When the meal finally arrived, it tasted as if it had been kept reheated for the entire 1.5 hours. Yet another major disappointment, and not the first time at this location. Based on other reviews, this pattern is consistent across the board. There seems to be a serious problem with the staff's mindset and work ethic; they are anything but busy when the restaurant is less than 50% full. This restaurant should be avoided!

This was our second visit with a small group, and both times we were very disappointed. It felt like the entire team was simply overwhelmed. We had to wait an hour for our first drink after ordering, and only after asking did they check the bar again to see where everything was. Many dishes were simply out of stock, including lasagna, which, in my opinion, isn't anything particularly unusual or exotic. The Crema di Fragola, which is also a standard dessert, was unavailable because they were out of strawberries. The only alternative offered was mascarpone cream with strawberry sauce. It's worth mentioning that the dessert had barely seen the strawberry sauce in the kitchen, and of course, we were charged full price. We were constantly assured that it was particularly busy that day. The young woman who served us was also new. But it always feels like the restaurant is packed on a Friday evening... so unfortunately, we'll have to find a new place to eat in the future.

We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish at L'Osteria last night. It was delivered correctly and within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, that was about all the positives. The pasta wasn't cooked all the way through, and the pesto sauce tasted watery and flavorless. The pizza with crab on top seemed delicious at first. However, the following day, my partner apparently suffered from severe food poisoning. Unfortunately, that was the last time we ordered from here. In our opinion, the quality has declined significantly in recent years.

We are a family of 30+ who enjoy our annual family reunion at L'Osteria Euskirchen, now for the third time. As every year, the service was very friendly and accommodating. The slightly off-the-beaten-track table placement was perfect. Our reservation was for the period from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There were eight of us there at 6 p.m., and we ordered the pizza right away and got it at 7:55 p.m. In terms of service, it was the worst restaurant experience I've ever experienced. We received the wrong drinks, 10 minutes after receiving the pizza, we still didn't have any cutlery after speaking to three different waiters, and the bill was incorrect. Espresso took 15 minutes. We weren't asked for drinks once. Waiters would rather chat with colleagues than serve us. No form of compensation, like a round of drinks on the house or anything like that.

Perhaps management should seriously consider encouraging their employees to be less complacent and more customer-friendly. This place is truly the worst. How can it be that you order food for pickup at a certain time, enter the store at that time, are completely ignored, and then your order obviously hasn't even been processed? I like going to L'Osteria and have already experienced several other restaurants in this chain in various cities, which is why the visit to Euskirchen was particularly disappointing considering the usual standards. It started with us having to wait over 20 minutes for our drinks, and only after asking did someone come back to the table to take our food order. Our request for drinks was answered without emotion with "They're being prepared right now." The restaurant was relatively empty around 12:30 p.m., which is why something like this is particularly noticeable. The cutlery wasn't brought until the meal and, in my haste, was half-dropped onto my napkin. It's just these unenthusiastic little things that reveal poor service. The food arrived after a reasonable wait and tasted good, only the Pesto Genovese looked a bit sloppy, and the paper coaster was forgotten for the pizza plate. The Crema di Fragola apparently didn't contain any gelatin and was therefore very runny. In total, during the three-hour wait, only twice did someone come to the table to ask about any further requests. The service staff seemed listless and bored. When I asked a younger waitress to pay, she didn't even look at me and simply nodded as she walked by. She didn't return until a few minutes later. Due to the poor service experience, I only rounded up the €98.20 to €100, which was still polite overall, as this service didn't deserve a cent. Unsurprisingly, there was no thank you, no inquiry about satisfaction, and no wish for a happy day. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time myself and understand that you can have days when you're not so motivated. But since my sister and mother have experienced this twice here, it seems to be more of a default attitude than an exception. However, especially when the restaurant isn't particularly busy, such small things are extremely noticeable and are simply bad for sales. Next time, we'd rather eat at another L'Osteria where the service is more attentive.

Yesterday (September 20, 2025) was my third and final visit to this restaurant. The first time, a slice of pizza stuck to the fork I was served, and the second time, the Parmesan cheese was moist, lumpy, and smelled strange. The employee told me this was a characteristic of their Parmesan, and therefore I couldn't get any other. The spaghetti tasted mediocre at best even without the Parmesan. Yesterday afternoon, at the request of a friend, I went back. On a separate menu, the theme was "pumpkin." The pumpkin soup was brought, and the friendly waitress asked if we wanted bread with it, to which we replied affirmatively. She then threw cutlery onto the table as if she were playing a cutlery game. The bread never arrived, and no server appeared. Almost at the end of the soup, a male server came over and asked again if we wanted bread with the soup. It was funny, too. I received a flavorless and firm risotto. The top layer of pumpkin seeds and Ricola cheese together was fine. I had to get the balsamic vinegar (in an attempt to add flavor) from the service table myself – see above for the reason. When a server came to check out a table, for example, they did so with bowed heads, and after the payment was made, they left the outside area with bowed heads. Even a hearty "Hello" was ignored. When it came time to pay, the server pocketed the money and gave me a questioning laugh. Unfortunately, I had to tell him that neither the quality of the food nor the service warranted a tip, after which I received my change. When he (at least) asked why, he replied: If the water is too warm, he's happy to bring ice (?), and if a meal isn't to your liking, you can gladly return it and get a new dish. I then pointed out the lack of bread and the balsamic vinegar I'd brought myself, and I would have liked a second drink, but couldn't order one either. Conclusion: This is by no means an (Italian) restaurant, but more like a McPasta and McPizza. Mediocre food quality at mediocre prices. The interior is as open (and loud) as a cafeteria/canteen. Perfect!

Unfortunately, the atmosphere here doesn't appeal to us. So my husband ordered food and picked it up. The pizza was supplemented with additional ingredients (more than €1 extra per ingredient). The result: for pizza with extra peppers, you'll find 4(!) small pieces of peppers. That's bordering on a homeopathic dose and I find it downright rude. Unfortunately, even the good dough can't do anything to fix it. The waitress only gave my husband a portion at first, but when he asked, he was given the full order. Unfortunately, that wasn't good.

The two of us went there one weekday afternoon. It wasn't busy, and we were actually looking forward to the food. It was our first time at L'Osteria in Euskirchen. It will also be our last. We had pizza and risotto. After a few forks of food in the risotto, we discovered a mealworm. Absolutely disgusting. We called the waiter, who apologized and tried to make excuses. I even saw the bag of risotto being thrown away. We didn't pay for the food.

I really liked the restaurant – a really nice atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The pizza was delicious and freshly prepared. I actually ordered a prosciutto pizza. I'm no expert, but to me it looked more like regular cooked ham than prosciutto (see picture). That was a bit of a shame, but overall the visit was very pleasant.

The food is, as in every L'Osteria, delicious and plentiful. The pizza, in particular, is always highly recommended. Unfortunately, on the day we were there, the service was a bit inattentive, so we had to wait quite a long time, even though it wasn't particularly busy. We were there at lunchtime and would have liked to sit outside, but when we arrived, only one of the three umbrellas outside was open, so most of the seats were in the blazing sun. By the time we left, all the umbrellas were open. We probably could have asked for them to open them ourselves, but we just sat inside. All in all, it was a satisfactory visit with room for improvement. I expect it will be better on other days; perhaps it was a shift change or something similar. It was a bit of a shame, though.

This visit was unfortunately a complete disaster! The restaurant wasn't very busy, but the waiters kept pointing out that it was so busy. We were only able to order drinks after 20 minutes. We couldn't order three of our five requested dishes because they were unfortunately no longer available (at 7:30 p.m. on a Sunday). It's a shame that you can't get bruschetta, lasagna, and a common type of pizza at an Italian restaurant. We also waited 45 minutes for the food. After that, one dish was served, while the other three people had to wait another 10 minutes. When the first person finally got their food, they still couldn't start eating because, despite asking, we didn't have any cutlery. The staff seemed lost and as if they didn't know what to do. We were told that one of the colleagues was new, but then they should train her so she knows which guest has ordered which dish and where each table is located. I found it unprofessional to repeatedly ask at different tables whether we had ordered this dish. The waiters seemed overwhelmed. There were plenty of free tables, but the service was still poor. You had to ask for everything, which still meant a long wait. We even had to organize the box for the leftovers ourselves, as it wasn't brought to the table promptly despite our requests. There were apologies that the colleague wasn't responsible for our table and therefore couldn't serve us. However, the colleagues in charge only served us after several requests. We wished they had paid more attention to customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.

I ordered two pizzas worth a total of €35 at 5:15 PM. Pickup wasn't possible until 6:00 PM. They arrived at 5:50 PM – the pizzas were already ready (unfortunately, they must have been longer, because they were cold 10 minutes later when I got home). The pizzas are okay. The size is more apparent than real, as they are extremely (!) thin. Pasta is rather mediocre, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is okay. But some of the service in Euskirchen is just terrible. If I politely ask for the bill and the short waitress rolls her eyes in annoyance (yes, honey, I saw that and I know it was meant for me!!!), I'm out of luck. We were there at lunch and it wasn't that busy. Nevertheless, this waitress deliberately and rather cheekily ignored us countless times. A "I'll be right there" would have been okay, too, as I wasn't under any pressure. Will I go again: Yes, but I'll choose the waitress in Euskirchen.

Despite making a reservation stating it was a birthday, we weren't congratulated, nor was the requested bottle of water placed on the table. We had to wait over an hour for the food, which was unfortunately cold and not very tasty. We had small children with us, and a small detail: all the crayons were broken or completely blunt. We also had to wait a very long time for drinks. We had to repeat every request at least once. We won't be back. What a shame.

It's been better here before. And somehow it's mostly down to the little things. There were two of us and we had a salsiccia pizza, a Caesar salad, and spaghetti ice cream. The pizza was okay. If it had been hot, we would have been happy. The salad had apparently been sitting for too long, and the heavy dressing overpowered it. The croutons didn't seem fresh, and the chicken on the salad was bone dry. The surprise of the day was the ice cream. I've never seen such a small spaghetti ice cream. For size comparison, there's a glass next to the ice cream. To be fair, the ice cream only cost a relatively modest €5.75. The cappuccino and espresso macchiato also seemed to have been sitting at the bar a little too long, so they didn't arrive at the table hot. Since we had nothing to complain about on previous visits, we're hoping these were just one-off glitches.

The service was listless when serving, cold and dismissive, simply unbelievable. Glass dirty, fingerprints, Pizza lukewarm, unsalted dough, and it was sticky. We waited for Parmesan but never got it. Pasta was unsalted, just a fork, no spoon. The waitress was annoyed when we asked if we could have Parmesan. She said the kitchen hadn't had time to prepare it yet, which is unacceptable. When we paid, the waitress didn't even ask if everything was okay or apologize for not bringing the Parmesan. Never again, pizza left lying around. Addendum: The waitress walked past us and literally said to my husband, "Why are you looking so annoyed?" My husband was very friendly to her, "I'm waiting for my wife to get her food, yes, she'll get it right away." My husband asked her, still very friendly, "Please remember the Parmesan." "Yes, yes," she said, and left. I was truly shocked.

This L Osteria branch is definitely not like the others. The service is lackluster and not particularly attentive! The salad is drenched in dressing and there's absolutely no meat in it. Other branches are much better!! The tomatoes in the bruschetta were really mushy. But most importantly, they didn't even wipe the table until I asked, and you can't expect the usual salt, pepper, and oil to be placed on the table. NEVER AGAIN to L Osteria in Euskirchen

The meat is all frozen and cooked entirely in a deep fryer, yet completely overpriced. 90% of the salads are green. But the phone service is the worst. Unfriendly, quick-tempered to the point of shouting. I saw the owner in town today. He's become a sleazy character. He definitely recognized me, but acted like it wasn't him. I still regret ordering so much from there when the food was still okay. But whatever, he's always been odd. I'm just glad I'm not alone in my opinion.

We went to the brewery for our Christmas party with a group of 10 and were disappointed. There was no trace of a Christmas atmosphere. The dining room was uncomfortably cold. When we pointed this out, they seriously told us they had to remove all the paneling to access the thermostats – an excuse that was more ridiculous than believable. The food was also a disappointment. For a chef who supposedly had worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants, the result was poor. The food for 10 people was served at such a staggered pace that some had already finished eating while others were still waiting for their dishes. The pork chop was pale and carelessly prepared, and the dumplings – if you could even call them that – were inedible. When we asked for some bread, we felt like we were asking for the impossible. Overall, it was a very unpleasant evening. The staff tried to be friendly, but seemed disorganized and unprofessional. We would therefore not recommend this restaurant. Even pointing out these problems didn't seem to bother anyone.
