I've been there twice now and had the same dish (grilled plate). The first time, it was okay, and the second time, it was completely off. The meat wasn't cooked well and the flavor was weak. The staff is friendly, the service is prompt, and the prices are good (at least for the first visit :))

Zum Adler: Always worth a visit for decades. When the weather is great, you can sit in the beer garden or inside in the "vault". And there's not much to say about the food, portions and taste. No outrageous prices for decent portions. And if you don't want meat, you can also use the green sauce, which is fresh, not majo-heavy and feels homemade. All other typical dishes do not need to be mentioned again. Here the price and performance are right, everything tastes good and you will be more than full. Until the next walk and the next stop at Adler.

My wife and I recently went out to dinner on a Thursday after a bike ride. Because of the nice weather, we sat outside. I must mention that we have been going to this restaurant for 25 years and have always been very satisfied. But what we experienced this time was the lowest of the low in terms of service. The waiter didn't notice us, or rather didn't want to notice us, even though it was quiet. He stubbornly walked past us several times. Only when I called over to the waiter did he leisurely move to our table and, looking bored, took our order. He kept looking in another direction. Pure ignorance! When asked if he was new, he replied no. He had already been working there for seven months. When another waiter brought the drinks to our table, some of them spilled something. There was no apology, nor was the table wiped. My wife then took a napkin and did it herself. At least the food was okay. Now we know when people talk about a shortage of skilled workers.

Great beer menu atmosphere Good and reasonably priced food

We went there for dinner yesterday. We were really looking forward to the meal. However, it was unfortunately very disappointing. I had ordered a grilled platter with various meat variations. We had also ordered a hand cheese (handkäse). We got it almost immediately, but unfortunately, it wasn't cooked all the way through. The food came quite quickly, which surprised me a lot. But that wasn't an advantage. The fries were still partly raw. The pljeskavica was supposed to be filled, but the feta cheese was simply placed on top. Regardless, the pljeskavica was still raw inside. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it. The rice was far overcooked and tasteless. I ate almost nothing from my plate. When the waiter cleared our plates, he didn't even ask if everything was OK. When we paid, no one even asked if we were satisfied. The low prices can be explained by the fact that they use a lot of ready-made and frozen products. It's a shame, because Balkan cuisine has a long history of excellence.

The Adler Restaurant in Frankfurt used to be good, but today I can no longer recommend it. I tried eating there again on Sunday, and it was a complete disaster. I ordered steak with fries and vegetables. Not only were there less than a handful of fries, but the steak was still alive, and the vegetables were from the freezer and still cold! It's a shame that a once good restaurant has become so bad. I'll never go there again!

A surprisingly large, yet quaint restaurant with a great beer garden. Prices are unbeatable these days in Frankfurt for solid Balkan cuisine. You can also get green sauce and hand cheese ;-) The service was also very attentive, so all in all, highly recommended.

Great outdoor dining area under large trees. The wasps are a bit annoying at the moment, but otherwise it's very cozy. The food is amazing! Very tasty, and especially with generous side dishes, so even the most hungry men will be satisfied. The steaks are cooked exactly as requested, tender, and well-seasoned. The price is also very reasonable. The restaurant is easily accessible by S-Bahn (S6) and a short walk away. If you're in Frankfurt, you should definitely stop by. I was there years ago and again now, and the quality hasn't diminished one bit. I'll be back! ... as we Austrians would say :-)

For grilled meats and the famous pork schnitzel, accompanied by buttered rice and fries. As a starter, they serve you a small individual salad plate. For dessert, a chocolate coulant to share was delicious (although the ice cream could be much better). They have a large terrace full of greenery where you can enjoy the best time.

I can only recommend it – plenty of space inside and outside, a large beer garden. The prices are still very reasonable, with really large, tasty dishes. And the house-made Apostelpils in the beer garden is worth a visit alone!

The decor is a bit dated, but very clean. A highlight in summer is the large garden with a freshly tapped Apostel beer. Plenty of meat and fresh salad.

Before a thunderstorm, we ate and drank in the beer garden with five people. We asked if we could sit inside. We had to pay at the entrance. We went in and asked if we could have another drink; there were more than enough tables available! We were told they had a lunch and dinner menu, even though we had actually reserved inside. The waitress looked over the menu for almost five minutes without answering us. We left the restaurant on our own. I found this behavior inappropriate and unwelcoming!!! Will I visit this restaurant again... no thanks!!! In my opinion, hospitality looks a little different, and I'm used to it.

My visit to the restaurant "Zum Adler" was unfortunately a complete disappointment. The food was inedible and had to be returned. Despite repeated requests, I was not offered a replacement – ​​instead, I was ignored by the service staff. The waiter's behavior was particularly shocking: He became disrespectful and rude. Only after asking for the manager five times did a completely inappropriate confrontation ensue. I had to forcefully and noticeably demand my money back. Instead of an apology, we were even asked to leave the restaurant. Such behavior is completely unacceptable for a restaurant. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and appropriate consequences follow. With disappointed regards, regular customers for 10 years.

This is a restaurant in Frankfurt that you should definitely visit for its location and food. You won't regret it. It is a popular place for families with children. There is a beautiful garden and enough space. The waiters' clean, spotless shirts caught my attention. Here the guests are shown appreciation and attention - this was clearly shown to us. We will definitely come back.

I haven't been here in a long time, and yesterday I showed the place to some friends. I used to come here often as a child, and the outdoor seating is still just as nice! There was only one thing that really bothered me: when you order a portion of asparagus with potatoes and hollandaise sauce, you really expect more than 3 (!) spears of asparagus. And there wasn't even enough sauce for the potatoes... What a shame! Apart from that, it remains an insider tip for nice summer days!

Ambiente: Sowohl in der Gaststube, als auch im Biergarten, sehr rustikal und schön. Holztische, alte Kastanienbäume, die schön Schatten spenden, sehr nett. Service: Wenn man als Gast wie ein Schulkind behandelt wird und einem vorgeworfen wird, wie anstrengend es sei, einem Speis und Trank zu bringen, dann kann man dazu nur "schlecht" sagen. Zudem nicht gut organisiert, wenn einer die Bestellungen aufnimmt und zwei-drei andere sie bringen, dabei notwendigerweise jedes Mal über den Tisch brüllen müssen, wer dieses oder jenes hat. Dass hier die Unart vorherrscht, bei einem mittig im Garten stehenden Tisch, am Kopf des Gastes vorbei sich über den Tisch beugend , auf der anderen Seite zu servieren, überrascht zwar nicht, ist dennoch ein dickes Minus der Unprofessionalität. Speisen und Getränke: Der Beilagensalat mit einer fetten Sauce Marke Convenience getränkt, das Fleisch mit den Beilagen insgesamt ok, aber keine Offenbarung, dass man hier unbedingt nochmals herkommen muss. Die Speisen kommen indes schnell, auffällig schnell. Zudem: Ein kleines Bier gibt es nicht, da der Kellner (von denen mehrere permanent im Garten sind, ohne Tischaufteilung) sonst "zu oft hin und her laufen muss" (ok, Logik ist nicht jedem gleich gegeben). Wenn sich an einem Tisch mit mehreren Personen nicht alle gleichzeitig den Nachtisch bestellen, gibt es schon mal die oberlehrerhafte deutlich genervte und laute Aufforderung, wer ein Nachtisch wolle, ihn jetzt zu bestellen habe. Schullandheim anno 1960, statt Gaststätte 2025. Thema Umsatz: Scheint hier nicht besonders verfolgt zu werden. Man wird kein einziges Mal gefragt, ob noch was gewünscht wird. Ok, nach der Klage, wie oft man angeblich laufen müsse, will man vermutlich den ein oder anderen Gang sparen. Dass das auch den Umsatz "spart", scheint nicht so zu interessieren, aber immerhin kommt man als Gast somit günstiger weg. Fazit: Kann man sich nach der Erfahrung sicher denken...

I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 10 years. Very often, in fact. The food is very good, there is nothing to complain about here. What bothers me is the staff and the way they serve the customers. Until last year you always had good staff. I've only seen two of them. The staff present behaves arrogantly, unprofessionally and is not friendly at all. Concrete example: He comes to the table without being greeted to take the order, the entire order is not brought at once but with a delay of at least 10 minutes. It's very uncomfortable because I'm eating and my friends are watching because the orders come 10 minutes apart. I asked for Coke Zero and they brought me Coke but it wasn't Zero and it was stale. When the order is brought, the food is simply thrown on the table as if it were dog food. Please do something that is unacceptable and unpleasant. Until last year you had professional employees, now the ones you have should go harvest potatoes. I'm sorry 😔

Ambience/Service: If the beer garden is open, you have to plan for a waiting time. It seemed a bit chaotic, but you can sit well in the beer garden. However, yesterday was also the first really warm day, on the day before a public holiday. Eat: The meal "Asparagus with salmon and potatoes" was not beautifully presented, the potatoes were nothing at all, the salmon was "very good/good" and the asparagus was very good, but there was somehow no taste in the "Hollandaise sauce". Price-performance: You can charge 24.90 euros if everything fits. So I found it too expensive. Drinks: The beer has too little carbonation for my taste and therefore seems a bit stale.

Were there today on a Sunday around 2:10 p.m. Drinks didn't come until half an hour later, after an hour I asked about our food and the answer was that they had a large group, no excuse, nothing at all. Then I asked the waiter who was responsible for us. His statement is that everyone is still waiting and we can either continue to wait or pay for our drinks. After 1:25 we decided to leave. We had to pay for the drinks. The waiters were cheeky and I don't think they had any idea who was narrow-minded about what. I can't rate the food because it never came, but the tables that came after us already had their food. Just no words about it.

It was full, but it was quick enough, the service was friendly and the food was very tasty with a good price-performance ratio. We'd love to come back.

Wir treffen uns schon seit längerer Zeit mit Freunden regelmäßig im Adler und sind rundherum zufrieden, was Essen und Getränke, den Servive und auch das Ambiente angeht. Alles geht super flott, das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft. Und die Preise stimmen hier auch noch.......

The side dishes with the steak were extremely fatty and soggy, the potatoes were fried potato wedges, which doesn't quite fit with a steak. The steak itself was world class and perfectly cooked medium rare, but the bill of €46 for a steak and a glass of water was a bit too much considering the location of the restaurant. For comparison, an expensive steakhouse in the city center is sometimes cheaper.

Mit Tochter und Enkelin zum Mittagessen da gewesen. Mein Fleisch war extrem schlecht. Ich habe aber nicht reklamiert, um die Stimmung für meine Mädchen nicht zu trüben. Früher war Adler besser. Ich überlege, ob wir da je wieder hingehen werden. Wir waren Stammgäste. Die Kellner sind auch nicht mehr die tollen Kellner von früher.

I haven't been to the Adler in a really long time. Nice evening with friends, outside at 20 degrees at the beginning of April.. had the delicious Adler platter (sorry not for vegetarians).

Unfortunately, every sauce contains vegeta (a flavor enhancer), so there's not much on the menu for people with intolerance (schnitzel without sauce is not an option). For people without intolerance, it seems to be tasty. Service was okay, and the price was reasonable.

The restaurant has been recommended to me so many times. Last Sunday we were there with four people. I had a Frankfurter Schnitzel with another person. The common opinion was that it was good but we have eaten better. Another member of the group had a cordon bleu. He was very happy, as was the fourth person. Unfortunately, a drink was only brought at the end of the meal upon reminder. It was simply forgotten. Nevertheless, I give five stars for the service because everything else was fine.

Long-established restaurant that has been offering delicious Balkan specialties and international ones for years. We go there often and have almost finished the menu. Our favorite dish is the Balkan plate. Service is mostly good, the facility could do with a renovation. Prices are still cheap, although they have been increased several times. Reservations are highly recommended because it is actually always full. But hopefully the great garden will be reopened soon and there will be plenty of space.

We were there with a large group on a Friday evening and sat in the basement. Since the heating wasn't on there yet, it was quite cool. When all the tables in the basement are occupied, it gets very, very loud, which made it difficult to have a relaxed conversation at a large table like ours. You didn't hear much of what the other person was saying unless you were leaning over half the table the whole time. The service was friendly. For one of us, the food was almost cold again when it came to the table. But there was a warm replacement. The Adler doesn't have a parking space, which made finding it a little difficult.

Zum Adler is a traditional restaurant with a very nice beer garden. We definitely recommend making a reservation as it is always busy. The menu is very extensive, there is German cuisine, Croatian dishes and also vegetarian/vegan options. The price/performance ratio is great and cannot be topped. You have to be a little patient when it comes to service, but that's completely understandable when the place is buzzing... Definitely highly recommended: beautiful location, delicious food, everything is perfect!
