Zum Adler in Hagen

Wir gehen regelmäßig ins Restaurant Adler und wurden bisher nie enttäuscht. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist ganz klar die Nr. 41, das Schlemmerschnitzel. Die Portionen sind großzügig, das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal frisch und man merkt, dass hier noch mit Herz gekocht wird. Was ich allerdings überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen kann, sind einige der schlechten Bewertungen. Der Adler ist ein familiengeführtes Restaurant und genau das merkt man auch. Man wird freundlich empfangen, es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre und man fühlt sich als Gast willkommen. Besonders die Inhaberin nimmt sich gerne Zeit für ein kurzes Gespräch und hat immer ein offenes Ohr. Falls es doch einmal ein Anliegen geben sollte, kann man ganz normal darüber sprechen. Hier hat man nicht das Gefühl, einfach nur der nächste Gast zu sein. Für mich gehört der Adler zu den Restaurants, in die man immer wieder gerne zurückkommt. Gutes Essen, faire Preise und herzliche Gastgeber, mehr braucht es eigentlich nicht.

Nach einem ziemlichen Reinfall vor einigen Jahren hatten wir dieses Lokal seitdem gemieden. Jetzt haben wir es mal wieder versucht, und siehe da: überhaupt kein Vergleich zu damals. Das Ambiente finden wir eher so mittel. Ist uns aber auch egal, wenn alles andere stimmt. Und das war heute der Fall. Das Essen gut bis sehr gut; und das zu wirklich vernünftigen Preisen. Die Calamari waren gut, obwohl sie gern noch etwas zarter hätten sein dürfen. Die Idee mit dem Melonenschnitz als Beilage fand ich sehr schön, gerade bei der Hitze aktuell. Das Riganato (hatte meine Frau) war absolut top! Dazu prima Service - ich bekam mit, dass am Nebentisch verschiedene Sonderwünsche sehr freundlich aufgenommen und von der Küche auch umgesetzt wurden. Wir wurden auch sehr freundlich bedient. Und der Ouzo nach dem Essen kam eisgekühlt, so wie wir ihn mögen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Gute Gastronomen verdienen eine vernünftige Bewertung. Wir waren nun schon zwei Mal hier, und wurden nie enttäuscht - sogar im Gegenteil. Der erste Besuch war mit einem Schlemmerblock, mit dem es absolut kein Problem gab, beim zweiten Mal auch, allerdings an einem Feiertag an dem dieser nicht galt - wurden jedoch höflichst darauf am Anfang hingewiesen. Da ich nicht viel schreiben möchte, lasse ich das Bild auch gern für mich sprechen. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis 1A, und Personal ist auch super - wir waren an einem Osterfeiertag und hatten ein entsprechend kleines Präsent am Tisch.

Also wir haben lange auf unsere Getränke gewartet obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren die Vorspeise war sehr gut dann kam die Hauptspeise ein Desaster am schlimmsten war der Salat das erste Mal das ich meinen Salat nicht gegessen habe das Essen war leider lauwarm ich würde nicht nochmal das Lokal besuchen....

War zum ersten Mal beim Adler und finde am Ambiente der Theke ist noch Luft nach oben...hat Vereinsheim Charakter,!die Türen sind ziemlich Schmutzig und leider war das Essen nur Okay!!

Wir waren heute Abend dort mit dem Gutscheinbuch essen. Ich möchte verdient die beste Bewertung geben. Es war einfach perfekt und ein Kompliment an den netten Service und die Küche.

Mit dem Adler geht es immer weiter Bergauf nach mehreren schlechten Erfahrungen geht es seit einiger Zeit Bergauf der Wirt gibt sich alle Mühe Ein kleiner Tip noch Gyrosteller lieber teurer machen aber dafür ein Schlag Zaziki

Sind heute zum ersten mal im Adler gewesen und waren positiv überrascht. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber noch wichtiger, das Essen ist sehr lecker, das Fleisch sehr gut. Pommes, Reis, sowie Zaziki (sehr, sehr gut) wurden auf einem separaten Teller gereicht. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war etwas länger als woanders gewohnt, ein Zeichen, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird. Dieses schmeckt man auch. Wir hatten einmal Gyros, sowie den großen Grillteller. Ich kann den Adler nur weiterempfehlen. Wir waren auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte mal hier. Edit: Am 09.03.2026 wieder im Adler gewesen und wieder zufrieden nach Hause gefahren. Bedienung sehr freundlich und das Essen wieder reichlich, lecker und preiswert.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut! Ich empfehle Lamm in Tomatensessel! Wir waren zu 7/8 Personen bereits des öfteren dort. Es war immer wieder gut! Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen!

Rustikal-gemütlich und familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr leckere, preiswerte Gerichte: das Fleisch ist immer saftig auf den Punkt gegart, die hausgemachten Soßen und Dressings sind sehr schmackhaft, anständige Portionsgrößen. Vor dem Haupteingang eine einladende, große Treppe, - barrierefreier Eingang auf der Rückseite. Ausreichend Parkplätze in der Nähe, nur wenige direkt am Haus. Es empfiehlt sich eine Tischreservierung an Wochenenden/Feiertagen, da kann es durchaus voll werden. Unter der Woche findet man auch spontan einen Platz- absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Gutscheinbuch hat uns in dieses Restaurant gelockt und wir waren vollkommen zufrieden! Das Essen ist nach einer angemessenen Wartezeit serviert worden und schmeckte typisch griechisch! Gefallen hat und uns auch, dass die Besitzerin durchweg sehr freundlich und natürlich gewesen ist (trotz Gutscheinbuch / ist ja kein großes Geschäft für die Betreiberin)! Das Restaurant ist zwar nicht hochmodern und es kann sicherlich etwas lauter sein, wenn es voll ist, aber alles war gepflegt und sehr sauber (auch die Toiletten)! Die Preise sind meiner Ansicht nach als fair zu beurteilen und alles wurde getrennt serviert (Gericht, Pommes und Salat). Bei der Bestellung wurden unterschiedliche Dressings angeboten und gefragt, ob das Mineralwasser mit oder ohne Zitrone sein soll (gut zur Abfallvermeidung und keine Lebensmittelverschwendung)! Aus den genannten Gründen, können wir das Restaurant empfehlen und kommen bestimmt bald wieder!

Das Restaurant Zum Adler in Hohenlimburg ist ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Wert auf gutes Essen und herzliche Gastfreundschaft legen. Schon beim Betreten spürt man das gemütliche, traditionelle Ambiente, das zum Verweilen einlädt. Der Service ist äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, jedem Gast einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich hervorragend und liebevoll angerichtet. Besonders überzeugt die gleichbleibend hohe Qualität der Küche. Hier stimmt einfach das Gesamtpaket aus Atmosphäre, Service und Genuss. Ein Restaurant, das man gerne weiterempfiehlt und immer wieder besucht.

The restaurant as a whole feels a bit dated, and the ambiance could use a refresh. The side salad, unfortunately, had no connection to Greek cuisine and thus didn't fit the restaurant's concept. Moreover, it was presented rather unappealingly. The meat dish itself was acceptable, but its flavor was neither impressive nor a pleasant surprise. Overall, this visit wasn't enough to warrant a return.

My wife and I visited "Der Adler" during the week thanks to the Schlemmerblock discount voucher, which allowed us to enjoy two main courses for the price of one – a fantastic bonus! It was our first time here, and we were truly impressed with the food. Every single dish was delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared. A real culinary experience! Important tip: Even though we were there during the week, a reservation is absolutely essential, as the restaurant is very popular. The only slight drawback we noticed was the atmosphere. Since the restaurant is located in a smaller space, it got quite noisy when it was full. In conclusion: If you're looking for excellent food and can overlook a lively atmosphere, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!

The bifteki was exceptionally delicious and cooked to perfection – definitely the highlight of the visit. The salad, however, was less impressive: some leaves were already wilted, and it tasted as if it had been sitting for hours. The portion of rice was also very small. The restaurant itself seemed a bit dated, which didn't quite enhance the overall impression. On the positive side, the service was very friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times. Overall, a mixed experience with a strong main course but noticeable weaknesses in the side dishes and ambiance.

We went there for the first time today thanks to the discount voucher booklet. We ordered the large mixed grill to try all the different meats and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was perfect, the gyros was super crispy and well-seasoned. I especially appreciated that the meat and side dishes were served on separate plates.

We had a bonus book with 2 meals for 1 price. Each portion was small! The gyros were also dry (burnt)! I must mention that I've always known this place as a paying customer. This time, they've gone above and beyond! I don't intend to recommend this place to anyone else!!! They should stop participating in any more promotions!!!!!!

We ate in this restaurant on April 26, 2025 and were completely thrilled. The food was delicious and freshly prepared – every dish was a delight. We would particularly like to highlight the service: The two employees at the service were extremely nice, friendly and very accommodating. You immediately felt welcome and well looked after. We would definitely like to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit!

I was invited there by a colleague. I haven't been there for probably 30 years. Nice old and quiet atmosphere. The service was friendly and not intrusive. Food was ordered quickly and delivered in a timely manner. My home plate was plentiful and very tasty. I'll definitely see you there again at the Adler. Simply put, calm ambience and delicious. You don't need anything more. 😊

Very friendly service. Our food was very good, it was of good quality, tasted delicious and was plentiful. Meat was well fried and the sauce was well seasoned. The only thing that still has room for improvement is the side salad, some iceberg lettuce and corn was pretty easy. The ambience is clearly showing its age; a few new pieces could achieve a lot with the table decorations and dishes alone. All in all, we were satisfied and will definitely enjoy the meal again.

You're not allowed to go to the Adler with a dog 😡 We've never experienced that here in North Rhine-Westphalia and we were very upset because it was Christmas Day and the restaurant was almost empty. We then went to the Tomas country house and still had a place there with a dog 🐕 received and eaten very well 🤗

The food is really great! The schnitzels are huge, good and simply delicious. The service is great - the employees are friendly, courteous and bring a good mood to the table with their relaxed manner. However, the ambience is not quite on the same level. It's getting a little old and could use a refresh. The bowling alley has seen better days. The dart machines are fine, but overall a modernization would certainly be an asset to the overall picture. Conclusion: food and service top, ambience rather flop. Anyone who can overlook the furnishings will definitely be rewarded with culinary delights!

Traditional Greek restaurant located in Hohenlimburg Nahmer. We parked around the corner in the free parking lot of the gymnasium directly behind it. Once you have walked up the steps to the entrance, you will be greeted as a guest by a rustic interior with a number of statues creating a typically Greek atmosphere. In addition to a beautiful bay window with a round table, there are several tables with benches for up to six people as well as some tables for four and a table for two. We didn't visit the existing bowling alley and therefore can't judge it. The two waitresses were very quick, polite and friendly. The meat platter we ordered was very plentiful and appetizingly prepared. In terms of taste, it is by far one of the best that I have had the pleasure of enjoying recently. The side dishes in the form of French fries, rice and a small salad were also good. My wife's chef's salad, including turkey schnitzel, looked very good and tasted good, but unfortunately only consisted of tomatoes, cucumbers and iceberg lettuce. White bread and a small bowl of herb butter were also served. Coffee and Coca Cola Zero were just right, i.e. nice and hot or well chilled and, which is not the case everywhere, the Cola had a lot of carbonation. The price-performance ratio is definitely very good. We were given a very friendly farewell and can therefore happily recommend this restaurant.

Good restaurant in Hohenlimburg with a bowling alley. We've been looking for one like this for a long time, and now we've finally found it. The combination of good food (drink) and a good bowling alley is very good and recommended.

We were there yesterday with four people and everyone found the food very tasty. I had grilled pork liver. That was the best liver of my life. Thanks for that.

Unfortunately we cannot rate the restaurant because it was closed due to company holidays. They also have to take a vacation sometimes, that's completely okay. It would have been nice if this had been communicated on their Facebook and Instagram pages. If you already have a presence on such platforms, you have to maintain it. Otherwise, all information there is questionable. We will visit other restaurants in the future because we don't want to be surprised again.

There were four of us here with a voucher book. Although it was relatively empty, we waited 45 minutes for our starter, the main course came promptly. The portions were different sizes and fried to death. Frank would still give it 3.5 points, unfortunately I only ended up with 2.5 points. There are definitely better places in Hagen.

I went here for the first time yesterday with a friend and we both loved the food. I had the 106, stuffed bifteki with Bernaise sauce and side dishes, my girlfriend had the 109, large mixed grill plate and side dishes. It was absolutely delicious! My friend, who goes out more than me, enjoys Greek food and has visited a few restaurants, gave her dish a 9/10. The only thing we both didn't like was the rice with vegetables (probably made with vinegar) but the portion wasn't very big compared to the fries and salad. The price-performance ratio is also very good, you get good portions of very tasty food for your money that will definitely fill you up and leave you satisfied. What I would like to point out, which will only affect a few people and therefore has no influence on my rating, is that hearing-sensitive people should be careful where they sit. There was music playing in the restaurant and my friend found it a little too loud but even more so there was music playing with a stringed instrument which irritated her a lot. But we also sat almost directly under a loudspeaker. This can be avoided and personally none of it bothered me. Also, the music stopped on its own at some point.

A bit stuck in time, but delicious.

We got a table late in the evening before the May 1st holiday at short notice. We were warmly welcomed, given good advice and had a really delicious meal for the four of us. The prices are more than fair and the service is top. We'd love to come back.

There were 4 of us. eat there. We received a very friendly welcome in the restaurant. Our order was taken quickly and the food came to the table very quickly and hot. The portions were sufficient and, above all, tasty. The prices are okay these days.

The decor is a bit homey, that's what restaurants looked like 25 years ago. Friendly service, we were shown to our table straight away. The waiting time for the food to arrive was reasonable, there were only two waitresses who were really busy but didn't seem stressed. The food was really good, top quality and a decent portion size. We cannot understand why other reviewers criticize that dogs are not allowed to be brought into the restaurant. Dogs have no place in a restaurant for hygienic reasons, my wife is generally allergic to dog hair, a dog at the next table quickly leads to a rash and a sudden abandonment of the restaurant visit In any case, we were very satisfied with our visit to the “Zum Adler”.

Long waiting times, but food pretty good. So the gyro was really crispy and crunchy, something you rarely get anymore. Prices top. Service OK. But the wait for the food was over an hour. Ambience is rather old-fashioned, rustic. Time has stopped. I would eat there again.

I can only comment on the service because we had a meeting and didn't have time to eat. Service was great, friendly, accommodating, and the pronunciation was very nice. The ambience was neutral but cozy.

Da alle Gerichte frisch zubereitet werden wartet man auch etwas länger was man auch schmeckt. Es ist wirklich wunderschön und wunderbar da. Gehe immer wieder gern dorthin.

Wir mussten auf Muttertag etwas auf das Essen warten, aber wurden durch leckeres Essen belohnt. Die Bedienung war freundlich und fleißig. Alles in allem, ein gelungenes Abendessen.

Essen ist sehr gut und Preis Leistung top. Nur der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Das Essen ist gut, wenn es auch vor einiger Zeit besser war. Der Innenraum ist eher eine Zeitkapsel aus den 90er Jahren. Dafür sind die Mitarbeiter nett.

War ein super Besuch wie jedes Jahr. Mein Onkel wurde ausreichend gesättigt und konnte gleichzeitig seiner Alkohol- und Spielsucht (Automat stand bereit) nachgehen, musste nur leider draussen rauchen. Das ist etwas schade wir hätten lieber am Tisch mit den Kindern geraucht. Als wir draussen am Auto wieder ankamen, bemerkten wir, dass die Nachbarn im angrenzenden Wohnblock schon mit Polenböllern auf uns warteten und anfingen unser Auto zu bewerfen (siehe Bild: Rauch im Auto). War ein Erlebnis, das wir so schnell nicht vergessen. Man sollte also aufpassen hier in Hohenlimburg, ist ein gefährliches Pflaster...
