The service was okay, however the staff was of very friendly young workers who deserve every cent of a tip. The hygiene in the place was awful, as I had insects walking on my table and flying around my face. And our table was not stable. The food tasted really good which is a plus for this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the overall package didn't convince us. We had reservations for 8 p.m. When we entered there was a long line of people in front of us who had reserved for the neighboring location that shares the entrance and value area. It felt like you were queuing at a nightclub. After it was our turn, the wardrobe was picked up and we were escorted to the square. Service staff was friendly but overwhelmed and not trained for a restaurant of this type. Food: Starters salad was below average for the price. Main courses were ok. Ambiance: sat in the middle of a room that seemed uncomfortable to us due to the black paneling. In the end the cloakroom was no longer occupied and we had to look for our jackets from the room ourselves because the other event was still going on, “me petit chef”.

Generally OK but not worth the money for the quality of food. It’s a decent Asian restaurant but nowhere near Zenza and others in Frankfurt. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately

Went there with the whole family and it was very nice, friendly service, attentive and she explained the individual courses. I can only recommend the event.

Bei einem Restaurant der gehobenen Klasse erwarte ich keine großen Portionen, dafür Geschmack, Mundgefühl und erstklassige Qualität der Speisen sowie eine perfekte Zubereitung. Ist dies nicht gegeben, das Fleisch zäh, die Vorspeise geschmacksneutral und die Beilage schwierig zu identifizieren, ergibt dies nur drei Sterne, die ein überaus freundlicher und netter Service nur bedingt wieder gut machen können. Das Ambiente hat etwas von einem amerikanischen fensterlosen Restaurants bei dem die Notausgangsbeleuchtung am hellsten strahlt.

The food was excellent and every course was perfectly coordinated and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very elegant, which made the evening a real pleasure. I will definitely come back soon!

Le petit chef - a unique experience. Costs/equivalent: Meal (6-course) 50-80€ That leaves €100 for the show and that's a bit generous. The food was good with... errors. Glass v. Aperitif was completely stuck on the outside, dishes on the plates were partly served slipping/smeared. It still tasted good, even if there were no culinary surprises. The service staff were extremely nice and tried hard, but some of them were temporary staff. hanging over the table v. clearing plates from one position. That's better. Despite the small drawbacks, it was great fun and we left full and well entertained.

Wir hatten uns auf ein schönes Geburtstagdinner gefreut und wurden leider enttäuscht. Als wir ankamen stand eine Menschenmenge im Flur die es fast unmöglich gestaltete überhaupt ins Restaurant zu gelangen. Wie wir im Nachhinein erfuhren standen diese Personen für „le petite chef“ an. Wir wurden nicht begrüßt und es war auch nicht ersichtlich, wo sich Personen mit „normaler“ Tischreservierung anmelden können. Wir haben uns dann selbst einen Weg durch die Menge gebahnt und den Restaurant Bereich gefunden. Um an einen Tisch zu gelangen mussten wir jemanden vom Personal „abfangen“. Am Tisch angekommen bekam dann nur einer von uns beiden einen Gruß aus der Küche, weil eine vegetarische Version auf die Schnelle nicht möglich war. Vorspeisen waren gut. Hauptgänge sehr klein und wir hätten uns eine Beratung gewünscht. Nachspeise ok. Insgesamt wirkte das Personal zwar bemüht aber sehr überfordert. Wir haben knapp 200€ bezahlt für 2 Personen und waren leider enttäuscht - für diesen Preis erwarten wir mehr. Wir können das Restaurant leider nicht weiter empfehlen. Zudem waren die Männer Toiletten sehr schmutzig (zu den Damentoiletten können wir nichts sagen)

Waren heute das erste Mal beim Weihnachtsessen. Hatten es durch die durchweg guten Bewertungen ausgesucht und wurden echt überrascht. Essen und Service waren traumhaft. Wir kommen eigentlich aus Frankfurt, kannten es aber nicht. Eine klare Empfehlung. Geht mal hin, ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein. Liebe Grüße und Danke für einen sehr kurzweiligen Abend. Underground Japanese restaurant, not finest ever but ok

The ambiance and service were great, but the price is not justified. For example, the California roll advertised with crab actually had surimi instead of real crab. Overall, the quality of the dishes was underwhelming, though the passion fruit crème brûlée was excellent. If you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, this might not be the place for you.

Wenn man ein Restaurant für einen gelungenen Abend braucht, ist Zukaya für mich die erste Wahl!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zukaya. From the first to the last minute I felt welcome and in good hands. The ambience is a perfect mix of stylish design and cozy atmosphere. The food was a real highlight: the dishes were not only outstanding in terms of taste, but also visually a work of art. Each dish appeared to be carefully put together and well thought out, which was evident in the quality of the food. I would particularly like to highlight the miso eggplant on baba ganoush. The service also left nothing to be desired. The staff was attentive, professional and warm at the same time - a rare combination. I can highly recommend Zukaya and look forward to my next visit!

The service was understaffed on a weekday and, as of December 5th, 2024, was still a bit overwhelmed. However, you have to give credit to the efforts of the staff to compensate for this. The fact that our request for a drink order was forgotten is annoying for sales. The kitchen tries out upscale dishes and combinations. In the end, our impression is that it was €5-10 per dish too expensive. Regardless of the price, the kitchen can inspire. If something changes in the price and/or service/ambience or there is an interesting themed evening it would be interesting for a second one - otherwise not so much.

Service was good, food nicely presented, but rather poor in taste. I find it rather unpleasant that less good reviews are removed here because of alleged defamation.

Essen war super lecker. Drinks waren gut. ABER wenn man eine Reservierung für 20 Uhr hat und erst um 20:40 Uhr zu seinem Tisch gebracht wird, stimmt etwas nicht. Kellner waren freundlich aber es hat leider alles zu lange gedauert.

I've eaten at higher Asian restaurants in Frankfurt (as we have frequented weekly a new one) and this ranks top 5 so far in the area.

Zukaya Restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty dishes and dedicated service. We ordered the beetroot, Uramaki Samurai & Zukaya, broccoli and the cucumber salad. Except for the cucumber salad, which wasn't entirely convincing in terms of taste, all the dishes were very tasty and well prepared. The service was attentive and quick. Even when we didn't like the table we were originally assigned, our concerns were immediately taken seriously and a person in charge quickly offered us a satisfactory solution. A small point of criticism is the atmosphere of the restaurant. The space feels a bit overwhelming and the interior design could have used more care. Since the restaurant covers quite a large area, it sometimes seems difficult for the staff to keep an eye on the entire service area. Overall, we still had a nice evening and can recommend the restaurant, even if it still has room for improvement in terms of ambience.

Hochgelobt, aber mehr Schein als Sein. Das Ambiente im Keller war nicht unseres, hier hat Charme und Charakter gefehlt. Jeder zweiter Tisch war irgendwie störend positioniert und bei uns ist leider kein Wohlfühlambiente aufgekommen. Auch hat uns den ganzen Abend ein sehr eigener, unangenehmer Geruch begleitet … Das Essen war ok, aber bei den Vorspeisen hat das besondere Etwas gefehlt. Bei den Hauptspeisen war die Ente kühl, der Lachs durch und ohne Deko (außer drei Tupfen Pü), beide Gerichte ohne Raffinesse. Der Service war ok, aber das junge Mädel - lieb aber total unerfahren und nicht zu verstehen, passt einfach nicht in die „angestrebte“ Liga. In Gänze passt Preis / Leistung einfach nicht. Frankfurt hat eine Unmenge an hochpreisigen, aber qualitativ deutlich besseren Restaurants. Schade, hatte mich sehr gefreut, aber werde nicht mehr kommen.

An sich ist das Lokal ganz in Ordnung aber das war’s auch das Essen an sich war nur Oki wir haben lange warten müssen bis der erste Gang kam leider haben die zusammen Setzungen nicht so gut gepasst so das es den Geschmack zerstört hatte bei haupgang hatten wir Fisch und Ente der Fisch hat sehr nach Fisch gerochen und das dürfte nicht sein in so einem lockal finde ich der 4 Gang war genau so das die Komponenten nicht zusammen passte und das die Soße nicht gut schmeckte und auch säuerlich Aber das sind nur meine Erfahrung Leider ging uns an dem Abend nach dem Essen aber auch nicht so gut so wie am nächsten Tag

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sometimes you stumble into a restaurant and wonder why you haven't been here before! That's exactly what happened to us at this wonderful place of German-Asian fusion cuisine. Stylish and cozy? But hello! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are entering a designer living room decorated by someone with really good taste. But now to the essentials: the food. A 4-course menu that not only conquered my taste buds, but also my heart. The starter variation with tempura oyster mushrooms with tuna tartare. A crispy poem! The middle course: a pork belly that danced with joy on my fork. And then the main course: the duck… oh, the duck! Perfectly cooked and so tender I almost adopted them. The crowning achievement? A matcha cheesecake that reminded me that tasting “not like a field of flowers” ​​is actually the highest compliment you can give a matcha cheesecake. :-) Not to forget the service, which was at least as charming and attentive as Marie, who guided us through the evening with a smile. And then there were the cocktails! Extraordinary and so perfectly balanced that I almost felt like a professional bartender - almost. All in all: An absolute insider tip that you would prefer to keep to yourself... but that would be too mean. ;-) Thank you for this fantastic evening – we will definitely be back!

Sadly the food did not meet our expectations. The place itself is quite atmospheric and has a quiet vibe, but the main course I chose - a 45 euro beef fillet - was a disappointment. The steak itself was quite good, but it was tiny and served with a seemingly unrelated assortment of tough, barely cooked vegetables in some sort of vinegar based marinade. I would expect more at this price point. The starters we had (some sushi roll and beef gyozas) were tasty but in our opinion came with unnecessary sauces on top that overpowered them and drowned out their flavor.

Google says that it closes at 11 pm and we took a taxi and arrived at 10:20 pm and they said it closes at 10 pm. Someone needs to get the facts straight. Please update google.

We were there for the first time, the occasion was my birthday. The food was really very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. We will definitely eat there again.

The food here was delicious however, the prices do not quite match up with the portion sizes or quality of food. The servers were extremely polite but they mixed up our order and we waited on our main dish for over a hour and half.

Eine sehr schwierige Erfahrung. Die Atmosphäre ist merkwürdig, im Keller, lange Gänge, kein echter Gastraum, sondern eine verschachtelte Ansammlung von dunklen Raumsituationen. Das Essen knapp über gehobenem Imbiss, alles etwas gewollt, aber nicht gekonnt, und genauso auch der Service. Kein wirklich geschultes Personal, sondern eher der Studenten- und Aushilfspersonal-Ansatz. Kann man alles so machen, aber leider nicht auf diesem Preisniveau. Die Erfahrung Zukaya kann man sich wirklich sparen, es gibt in Frankfurt aberdutzende Restaurants, bei denen das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis wesentlich besser ist.

Das Essen sowie der Service waren leider wirklich schlimm. Die meisten Gäste bekamen das Essen sehr spät und auch die Qualität war vergleichbar mit dem Imbiss von nebenan. Für diesen Preis eigentlich ein Witz. Nett dekoriert war es zumindest..

It was amazing night we started with tuna tartar and salmon sushi and we end up with salmon main dish it was fantastic. The service was good and friendly the place it’s romantic and nice. I recommend and I will be again there.

Our evening at Zukaya in Frankfurt was a pleasure from start to finish. As soon as we entered we were greeted in a friendly and polite manner, which immediately made us feel at home. The evening began with an excellent greeting from the kitchen and a refreshing aperitif of Lillet and ginger beer. This perfect combination was the ideal start to a wonderful menu. The starter, a beetroot salad, was not only beautifully presented but also tasted excellent. The freshness and delicate aromas were a real treat for the palate. The main course consisted of salmon with green asparagus and mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the asparagus was crunchy and the mashed potatoes were wonderfully creamy. The crowning finale was the matcha cheesecake. This interesting combination of sweet cheesecake and the slightly bitter taste of matcha was exceptional and rounded off the menu perfectly. Zukaya not only impresses with its excellent cuisine, but also with outstanding service and a pleasant atmosphere. Every visit is an experience and I can fully recommend the restaurant!

Wonderful Japanese food. A great find with a city filled with German food. Had to wait a few to be seated, even though we had reservations when no one was there. Nonetheless, excellent and our waiter was very attentive!

Der erste Moment zeigt an einem Dienstag Abend mit top Standort leider sehr wenig Personal und auch wenig Gäste. Die Karte ist übersichtlich aufgebaut lässt ein hohes Niveau vermuten, entsprechend der Beschreibung und vorallem der Preise. Leider blieb es bei der Vermutung, die „Snacks & Sushi“ Variationen waren hübsch angerichtet 7/10 geschmacklich. Die Hauptspeise sehr enttäuschend, Lachs mit 2 Stangen Grünem Spargel (die Endstücke waren hart und nicht essbar) Mini Kleckse von Kartoffel- wasabi Püree für 34€. Das Selbe bei der Ente zu der es keine wirkliche Beilage gibt außer 2 Blätter Pak-Choi und eine majo - Bratensoße (Entenbrust, leider komplett durchzogen mit Sehnen) - Beilagen ausschließlich Pommes, kein Reis oder passendes. Service: Teller und Besteck werden während man isst abgeräumt, leider ein absolutes No Go. Dennoch ein freundlicher Mitarbeiter, den man mit Schulungen und einer guten Führung auf ein top Niveau bringen kann. Viele Baustellen an denen man arbeiten sollte um den Standort zuhalten, andernfalls werden die Gäste leider ausbleiben.

Very nice restaurant with amazing interior design that offer table where you have a bit of privacy, ideal for a date. Very chic but still cozy atmosphere with very attentive service. We both had starter, main, and dessert and all was super tasty. My highlight was the macha cheese cake that was outstanding! Not too sweet as it was served on a lemon cream with fresh wild berries, 10/10 for me.

Ambiance: Clean cellar restaurant with pleasant table and room layout. The plant-based wall decorations and the lighting design support the theme in a pleasant way. Cleanliness: Dining room, service area and toilets without complaints. Furniture, floors, table textiles and service, cutlery, glasses and plates etc. are also clean. Service: Very attentive and always strives to meet your own requirements and take customer wishes into account. We also found the special treatment as a result of a birthday child nice. Eat: In my opinion, this is where the problem begins. The dishes were consistently fresh and okay, but the details were too simple and the portions were often too small. The shrimp starter was very good, the sushi was fresh but without variety and nothing special and expensive (8 pieces x 3 people = 60€). The main course, in our case the duck breast, was too little, hardly any crust, otherwise good I expect the side dish of fries for a child without wasabi seasoning but at least with a hint. Our salads were very small, the cucumber salad was very good, the Asian coleslaw was bland. For dessert we had 3x Medovik (42€) whose typical layered structure was not noticeable and was also very small in portions. Price: 3 starters, 3 main courses, 3 desert, 3 gingerale as well as a coffee and 1 espresso as well as a bottle of water 250€. I have to say that for me that doesn't justify what's on offer...even for Frankfurt City. For me it's less about the money and more about the offer. Conclusion: Nothing inspiring in good quality and pleasant service and ambience at a price that should make more possible.

Today I visited Zukaya Restaurant for the first time and was very satisfied. I liked everything: excellent service, cozy atmosphere, light, unobtrusive music that does not interfere with communication, polite and friendly staff, and most importantly, incredibly tasty. After dinner in this restaurant I had only positive feelings, I definitely want to visit this place again and try other dishes. Thanks for your hospitality. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

Gestern habe ich zum ersten Mal das Restaurant Zukaya besucht und war sehr zufrieden. Mir hat alles gefallen: exzellenter Service, gemütliche Atmosphäre, leichte, unaufdringliche Musik, die die Kommunikation nicht beeinträchtigt, höfliches und freundliches Personal und vor allem unglaublich lecker. Nach dem Abendessen in diesem Restaurant hatte ich nur positive Gefühle, ich möchte diesen Ort auf jeden Fall noch einmal besuchen und andere Gerichte probieren. Danke für Ihre Gastfreundschaft. Ich kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

The Zukaya is a really attractively designed restaurant with a great feeling! Not only did the food taste incredibly good, but our waitress was also very friendly, courteous and clearly enjoyed what he was doing! The dishes were consistently delicious and well presented. For me, the evening wasn't just 'going out to eat', but rather a wonderful experience with my favorite people. I found an absolutely recommended location that I will definitely recommend and I'm looking forward to coming back!

Schönes Ambiente, leise Musik, asiatisch anmutendes Design. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich, aber es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Für unsere Tochter wurde sogar das Sushi Menü leicht angepasst, damit ihr Geschmack getroffen wurde. Insgesamt eine schöne Erfahrung im Herzen Frankfurts.

"Bestes Sushi in Frankfurt" ist natürlich eine Ansage. Der Abend im Zukaya kam diesem im Vergleich zu Alternativen jedoch sehr nah! Modern gehobenes Ambiente in dem man sich wohl fühlt! Ein sehr aufmerksamer Service und ein Sushi-Geschmack, den wir definitiv wieder erleben wollen.

Wir hatten winem sehr schönen Hochzeitstag im Zukaya. Das Essen war super lecker und auch der Service war erste Klasse. Wir werden den Abend schön in Erinnerung behalten.
