Too bad, we wanted to eat there during a motorcycle tour, but unfortunately they only accepted cash, so we just had a coffee and a tea. It's a typical biker bar, a bit dated and more of a dive. I really don't mind simple restaurants, but they should be clean – and it didn't seem clean 🤷

As always, top-notch! We often pass by here during a quick moped ride. Everyone is always very friendly and always has time for a chat about petrol... Best regards #DBMC

Holy cow, I just happened to see a YouTube video, "My Local, Your Local..." I would never eat here. Bernd's fingernails were a disaster. Dirt, blood, and other stuff on his hands and under his fingernails, and he was cooking without gloves. 🤢🤢🤢 Dear bikers, take a closer look...

Edit: 6 years later – still the best, most honest food in the region! But be careful – the portions are huge! The staff is relaxed despite the stress, always attentive. A truly insider tip. The food has always been top-notch, without exception, the staff is friendly, and the chef is relaxed. Prices are absolutely justified for the quality. If it's very busy, it can take a while for orders to arrive, but that's the case with almost all restaurants. Zu den vier Winden is highly recommended!

This place is simply great if you're craving schnitzel or a burger. The ambiance outside is beautiful, and the chairs have recently been replaced and are now even more comfortable. Even though there were only two people serving and preparing the food that day, we never had to wait long for our drinks. The schnitzel was legendary, as always. And perfectly cooked. You can taste that all the sauces are homemade. Absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, the fries are incredibly delicious, as always, and the salad is also impressive. The value for money is really very good. If you like a beautiful view and a biker atmosphere, this is the place for you. We were all satisfied and would recommend the place to everyone. This was our third visit in two years, and each time we left with the same positive opinion. Leave everything as it is, because it's wonderful just the way it is!

We visited this place today and had the same experience with an older lady serving us as shown on a previous review. I wanted a Hawaii toasted sandwich to be barked at that they had run out of cheese as if it was my fault for wanting to order it, I then changed to Bratkartoffeln with one instead of two eggs which again was not taken kindly, no idea why! I then waited for almost an hour for a plate load of potatoes, some burnt and some under cooked on a chipped plate but that happened to have a nice fried egg on top. One good point was clean toilets but we will never stop there again, we got no apology or explanation for the lateness of the food, merely a grumbling that Bratkartoffeln take a time to cook 😂😂

I'd love to stop here. I haven't ordered a dish yet, but what I see coming out of the kitchen looks delicious. The people here are super friendly. I find the atmosphere cool and quaint, which I like. I'm looking forward to a new biker season. So, I've now ordered something from the menu and can recommend it. If you're really hungry, you can order the large portion; the small portion was enough for me 😅

A motorcycle meeting place with good, home-style cooking. Very friendly staff. Very clean and cool. From ordering to serving, about 15 minutes. A meeting place where bikers and anyone who's hungry love to stop. Regards, Service Tester

THE place to go for real bikers 👌

The staff is overly unfriendly and rude. One older lady, in particular, acts like you are bothering her just by being there and literally snarls at you when you ask for more food or drink. The food is sometimes mediocre when the restaurant is full and sometimes can be burnt. It is overpriced and you generally leave with a bad feeling. Staff complain about being stressed when they are full to justify their attitudes but this is not the customer's fault or problem. I felt like I was on parole going there and so did my friends. They do not want to return ever again.

Delicious food for a small price

A bit dated, but very nice. Unfortunately, there's a bit limited space and a bit of a hassle for bikes. But the friendly staff and the great view make up for it. ;)

In fact, I probably had a bad day yesterday. A waitress was new and unfortunately still overwhelmed. Instead of hollandaise sauce there was sauce bernaise, instead of the large portion there was only a small portion (maybe not so bad after all). But unfortunately the food wasn't good either. It was okay, but nothing more. Actually the ambience is cool, you have to be aware that the restaurant is on a busy street. And that can sometimes be annoying when you're sitting outside.

Typical and rustic biker pub. It's great that locations like this still exist! It is an ideal meeting point to drive from there overland towards the Nürburgring.

The burgers are HUGE & all the food was very tasty. Love their fries. If you like motorcycles & it is 4.5c or warmer there will be at least 50-100 bikes go by this intersection in the 45min or so that you will be there. AMAZING !

I was there three weeks ago with my brother. On a hike in the old homeland. We had the tip from a friend. The authentic warmth of the owner and his wife in combination with very good schnitzels completely convinced us. We'll be back.

I've been regularly in the 4 Winds for years... whether on a motorcycle, mountain bike, hiking... or just like that. Nice and warm atmosphere. Delicious burgers or schnitzels etc... and plenty of them.👍

We've driven past here several times. Today we stopped. Biker pub like it is in the book. But that's exactly how it should be. Very inexpensive and decent selection of food and drinks. Perfect for warming up on a day like today. But mostly summer business, I would think. When the bikers stop there. Then also beer garden.

Definitely worth a stop. Freshly tapped beer, great ambience and just super sociable. Absolutely recommended.

The Ahrwind used to be our classic port of call... Today it's no longer there, but the four winds don't make us mourn too much :-) Top food, good portions. Nice and attractive staff, both ladies and gentlemen get their money's worth here. Mega service German cuisine good portions for ferry prices always happy no matter whether currywurst or schnitzel or courdonblo it's all delicious the only thing that could be improved are the outside chairs but what's important is the food is first class

After completing a tour, we stopped there and ordered schnitzel with side dishes. The waiting time was a little longer (there were also a lot of customers), but the quality was great. The staff is very nice and I like the atmosphere. Rustic but quite beautiful. Nice enough to enjoy the sunset in the evening with a perfect view.

Nice place to stop off on a motorcycle tour

Nice service, but totally inattentive and then... unfortunately she didn't even notice when paying that one of 2 capucinos hadn't been touched... The cup had all the broken spots on the edge, 3 broken pieces to be exact, and quite deep . The stand arrived as it was, no question when collecting what happened to the cappuccino as it was unused or drunk. Nowadays you can't expect a cup that isn't broken. I wouldn't give something like that to my guests at home and they paid for it there. It's a shame that shocked us and we've never experienced anything like this for a paid drink anywhere else.

What can I say - authentic shop, perfect location, great service, delicious food… I always like to stop here! Until next time🤘🏻😉👍🏻👍🏻

Nice biker bar to grab a bite to eat or drink

As a moped driver, it's unfortunately a crime that I didn't come here sooner. The place is always good among colleagues. This is no different at this location. Unfortunately it is located directly at an intersection and therefore always has a certain background noise. But the food and drinks are good, I would like the service everywhere. Hello, we were 28.4. There around 4:00 p.m. and we were pleasantly surprised! Great place to go for motorcyclists/bicyclists and vintage car fans! -Staff Very friendly and attentive, everyone enjoyed their job and no waiting times. The owner also very friendly and communicative to his guests. -Food Great coffee and very tasty fries! Good selection of food and drinks, reasonably priced for sufficient portions. We saw satisfied guests eating. -Guests A colorful mix! Vintage car drivers, racers and cyclists, very pleasant atmosphere. Nice biker bar where cyclists and riders are also very welcome. Food and drink are available at reasonable prices and the portion sizes are appropriate for the price. Service friendly and accommodating.

Meal... if you eat food prepared by these hands, you shouldn't plan much for the next few days...

War zu einer Musikveranstaltung von einer Band aus Köln. ( Mothers boyzz) War super! Eine Portion Pommes und ein leckeres Bier tat das Übrige.

Wir sind heute während einer Radtour eingekehrt und haben uns vor dem Regen gerettet mit der Hoffnung, eine Kleinigkeit zu essen zu bekommen. Leider waren wir ohne Bargeld unterwegs und uns wurde mit einer unfassbaren Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit begegnet und sogar angeboten, dass wir in den nächsten Tagen das Geld einfach vorbei bringen könnten (kleiner Reminder: wir waren noch nie hier!) und wir sollten uns doch erstmal was leckeres zu trinken bestellen, „das kriegen wir schon hin“. Getränke und essen waren super, kamen schnell und wir konnten uns stärken und aufwärmen. Diese Gastfreundschaft wirkt nun bereits seit 7 Stunden nach und sorgt wiederholt für ein Lächeln - danke dafür!

So nah und erst jetzt entdeckt. Kurzer Stopp mim' Mopped kurz vor Daheim, Schnitzel mit Omma oder die Currywurst nach Feierabend ... oder mal so richtig versacken! Passt, Leute! 🤘

Super Restaurant! Ich gehe gerne mit meiner Familie hier hin zum Essen. Die Veranstaltungen am Wochenende mit live Musik sind echt super!

Zu aller erst, das Essen ist spitzenmäßig gut! Wird stets frisch zubereitet und die Portionen sind riesig! Besser kann es kein Anderer! Dafür komme ich gerne immer wieder hierher! Unangenehm sind die pubertierenden Junx, die an Wochenenden und Feiertags Ihr Gefährt stets beim Vorbeifahren aufheulen lassen müssen. Aber das scheint hier Tradition zu sein, was sich auf die gute Bewertung nicht auswirken soll.

Sehr nettes, unterhaltsames Personal, super leckeres und ausreichende Portion an Essen, komme jederzeit gerne wieder...

Een leuke tussenstop op een prima locatie voor bijvoorbeeld een koffie met wat lekkers als je met de motor aan het toeren of op doorreis bent. De gelegenheid zelf is niet super mooi en ook niet zo heel schoon. Het is allemaal een beetje smoezelig en rommelig. Dat geldt voor binnen als voor buiten. OK, als motorrijder vind je dat allemaal misschien niet zo heel belangrijk echter is het nu zo erg dat het wel beter verzorgd moet gaan worden. Het valt op. Het heeft in deze staat veel weg van een donkere, bruine gedateerde niet zo best onderhouden kroeg. Jammer allemaal, dat is echt niet nodig. Er moet even wat energie ingestoken worden.
