The tapas here are absolutely fantastic, and the price for four tapas is unbeatable! The wait time for the food was a good 45 minutes, which I personally found quite long, especially since the bread we ordered as an appetizer only arrived after we asked for it. Bread is always included with the tapas platters, and it's also really delicious. The dining room has a cool industrial ambiance mixed with fitting art—quite unique. However, it's so dark at the tables (at least at the one we were assigned) that I needed my phone's flashlight to read the menu. In general, the location of the table between the two restroom doors where we were seated (unfortunately… especially since guests who arrived later and also without reservations were able to choose other tables) should be reconsidered; it smells quite unpleasant. The service is friendly and attentive.

You've lived in Mönchengladbach for over 70 years and finally managed to get to the Messajero because the Lords were performing. Great atmosphere, lovely ambiance, and very friendly service, both at the box office and from the waitresses. After the Lords' performance, which provided a pleasant soundtrack of the 60s, we promptly visited the restaurant. I'm afraid we'll see each other more often in the future. The two of us went to the Zirkus Messajero in Mönchengladbach on a Friday evening and had a really lovely evening. The staff was super friendly, and we immediately felt at home. The menu is well-structured, vegetarian dishes are clearly labeled, and there's a wide selection. Everything was delicious, and the portions were absolutely adequate—not overwhelming, but definitely not too small. The price is really fair for the quality and quantity. A small note: The bread with aioli was almost an entire ciabatta, and since some dishes also included bread, it was a bit much overall—it's a shame if there's any leftovers. The ambiance is creative and pleasantly different—a really nice place for a relaxed evening. I'm only deducting one star for the food because some of it could have been a bit more authentic. I like the patatas bravas with a spicy sauce, like you'd find in Spain. The aioli was also a bit strange.

I sat outside and had a drink. The food was modest in portions and simply presented; the menu was small and offered little variety. Then I had to quickly empty my bag to find something and put the items on the table. A man sneaked up from behind me. I was startled, and he said, "I'm the owner, now clear up your belongings." I had only briefly put them down where I was sitting anyway. Based on his behavior toward me, I will most likely not be a guest there again. I won't let him treat me like that, and it was completely inappropriate. I'll also report this to others I know from the rehabilitation association there. Zero respect and decency. Every bar owner, especially these days, should be happy about every pleasant guest, and I definitely am. I'm not a vagrant who takes up residence with his belongings. So, I'm talking about expulsion here. I object to this behavior and sneaking up from behind. I expect to be treated with respect, I have behaved decently and give the impression of integrity.

Great atmosphere. Noise level depends on the time. Parties and concerts sometimes take place in the adjacent room. But a conversation is always possible. Drinks and food are very good. The staff is very friendly.

Great atmosphere - I love the industrial design! The food was delicious and the employees were very friendly. After dinner we went to the "TanzBar" in the back room, which reminded me of a youth center disco - but in a good, nostalgic way. The only downside was that the DJ couldn't fulfill my music request. I would have thought that in the age of streaming services something like this couldn't happen anymore. We'll still come back.

We had reserved a table here for the strange Mönchengladbach night. Unfortunately we weren't very happy with our experience. The location is reminiscent of a large warehouse, which makes it uncomfortably loud and you almost have to shout at each other if several tables are occupied. In addition, the service seems unmotivated. We had to wait almost 15 minutes just to take our order. Then it took another 1.5 hours until we got our order. We ordered various tapas and a small salad. This really shouldn't take that long. The food was good, but nothing special, so we couldn't understand the wait. In addition, we missed the first comedian on stage. We had purchased tickets for the show and had planned 1.5 hours beforehand to get something to eat. Unfortunately, the waitress had no understanding for our complaint. We are disappointed and will prefer to eat elsewhere… PS: It also seems rather unsuitable as a location for comedy events, as the majority of the audience has to stand permanently.

I have often brought the Rad am Niederrhein there and this time I was a guest of the Greens. Everything perfect.

Simply top, very nice selection of tapas, fresh food, a very nice location and very nice service..the cocktails are not to be sniffed at either 😊.

The restaurant is in an old industrial complex and has a very attractive charm. The cuisine is very good and has proven time and again in recent years that even large events can be held with great success. There are regular concerts and other cultural events. This means that the Messajero Circus differs significantly from the usual gastronomy. In my opinion an unconditional recommendation.

The Messajero circus has 2 faces. One is a Tappas Bar, which attracts with a cool ambience and delicious food. The second is the back room, which usually turns into a party center after 10 p.m. There are few good places to go for the party crowd in MG-Actiontown, but Circus Messajero is certainly one you should know about. I'm always happy to be there

I was at the music venue for a gig because my husband is a guitarist in the band that was performing that night. It's an excellent venue, cool location & hip warehouse style building. The folks enjoying their meals in the resto looked happy & comfortable.

It's very expensive, e.g. 3 mini shrimps for 8.60 euros.

We've been eating here for years, it's a really nice place with a special atmosphere, the tapas are great, as are the cocktails! The live music evenings are always a pleasure. Prices have been increasing for some time now (like everywhere else) - and that obviously has nothing to do with VAT. For these small tapas portions I find the accompanying prices really distasteful, sorry. The portions are ok, you like to try different ones. But the individual prices or the set price are too high. We won't go there anymore. The spare ribs were also the worst I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, my suggestion to the service that half of it was pure fat was dismissed by the kitchen. Really unfortunate and unprofessional...

It was a really nice evening with great small dishes such as tapas and salads, really tasty. There is an "outside" (you can't really call it a beer garden 😄) It was just beautiful. Live events are advertised on posters. I think it's a shame that I'm not in my hometown often anymore.

Best restaurant with bar in Mönchengladbach! I'm there regularly. There is a very good selection of tapas that can be put together individually, all of which taste very good.

This restaurant can be found in part of an old textile factory. This of course gives it a special charm, which gains even more individuality thanks to the furnishing and decoration. The service, all young employees, was very attentive and very friendly. We felt very well served. The dishes, tapas dishes, are freshly prepared and were tasty. A visit is worth it.

Went to a “seated” event. There simply weren't enough places available. Lots of stools at bar tables, which created a relaxed atmosphere. But there weren't enough of them. Sat on a bench at the edge and looked at the backs of our heads. I can't judge the food because we couldn't get a seat 1.5 hours earlier and the food would have taken at least 1 hour.

Luckily, while looking for something to eat, we walked past a few restaurants and ended up here. Great ambience, great crew and the tapas (7 different ones) were all fantastic and plentiful. We took the combination plate. That pays off. There's also a small salad with us and we're absolutely full. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place is very nicely decorated, cozy, with chilled, non-intrusive music. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

We had a spontaneous meal with 17 people. The shop was completely empty, but the boss still forbade us to put 2-3 tables together so that we could all sit together. The waitress was very, very nice and would have been happy to do it, but even when I asked a second time, the boss only gave me a short “no”. Well, then we ordered and the waitress told us that we only had 14 burgers left. I ordered a salad with yogurt dressing. My colleagues got the first 3 burgers after about 1 hour. The food always came in stages. Back to my salad, after 1 hour and 46 minutes you realized that you didn't have any yogurt dressing. Strange but true. I didn't eat the salad anymore; my colleagues' burgers were dry and burnt. The boss was sitting at a high table with a few friends and didn't even come over to apologize or perhaps say hello. Definitely we will never come here again. Only the young man who served us was friendly and world class. For him there are 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But the rest are zero.

Tapas schmecken nicht und für den Preis definitiv überteuert!! Aioli bestand aus remoulade - sehr enttäuschend! Das einzig gute: die Location ist schön und die Toiletten sauber.

Wir waren in der Woche hier, da war es sehr ruhig und wir mussten lange auf unser Essen warten. Dieses war aber ganz lecker und es gab eine breite Tapas Auswahl. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Das Essen war klasse, ich habe noch nie so lecker interpretierte Lahmacun genossen. Reizvolles Ambiente im Gebäude einer ehemaligen Spinnerei. In dem großen, nicht unterteilten Raum kann es sehr laut werden. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen betrug eine Stunde. Es wurde leider nicht zusammen serviert. Der Service war freundlich, die Getränkeversorgung aber nicht auf Zack. Hefeweizen alkoholfrei 5,70 Euro. Insgesamt Empfehlung.

Außergewöhnliche Location mit Charme. Auch wenn keine Livemusik geboten wird, so ist das Lokal immer einen Besuch wert. Der langjährige Koch kreiert neue Nachspeisen. Auch die Stammbelegschaft achtet sehr auf seine Gäste. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Jamsessions "Yes we jam" sind besonders empfehlenswert.

Einer meiner liebsten Orte zum Essen, Cocktails trinken und Zeit mit Partner oder Freunden verbringen. + tolles gemütliches Ambiente mit guter Musik + superleckere frische Tapasauswahl (auch vegetarisch) zu fairen Preisen + zahlreiche tolle Getränke, darunter leckere gut gemixte Cocktails + Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich, locker und humorvoll. Einzige, kaum beachtenswerte Contras: - uns waren die Antipasti (Oliven und Peperoni) deutlich zu salzig - da aber alles frisch gemacht wird, kann das auch einmalig gewesen sein und wir hatten einfach etwas Pech - wenn sehr viel los ist kann es sein, dass man schon mal ein bisschen aufs Essen wartet - aber es lohnt sich! 🤌🏼 Bonussternchen: Man kann zur Abholung bestellen und das Restaurant bezieht politisch Position für Minderheiten - Sympathisch!

Wir sind langjährige Stammkunden und sind mit dem Messajero und seiner Crew sehr zufrieden. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ich gehe mit meinem Partner, Kindern und Freunden seit mehr als 10 Jahren regelmäßig 1 mal im Monat hierhin zum Essen. Das Servicepersonal war in all den Jahren durchweg freundlich, zuvorkommend und hat uns zügig bedient. Das Essen ist gleich bleiben topp (schöne Grüße an Laif) und bei uns gibt es deshalb immer schönes Wetter. Was die Kritik an den Preisen in manchen Bewertungen angeht, kann ich aus eigener Selbstständigkeit heraus sagen, wer noch die gleichen Preise wie vor Corona hält, hat entweder seine Tage gezählt oder schläft mit dem Filialleiter der Hausbank. Also unser Fazit lautet: weiter so Herr Herzog! Wir kommen immer gerne wieder, denn wir wünschen uns kein neues Stammrestaurant.

Eine sehr außergewöhnliche Location im Herzen von Mönchengladbach🙌. Das Essen war mega lecker. Verschiedene Tappas auch für Vegetarier was dabei. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kann jedem nur empfehlen dort mal zum Essen oder auf ein Konzert zu gehen

Überaus leckeres Essen und sehr nette Atmosphäre. Die Kellner sind höflich und nett. Lockerer Umgang "per Du". Essen war mega. Leider haben wir gute 45 Minuten warten müssen, bis wir unser Essen erhalten haben, daher 1 Stern Abzug. Ansonsten tiptop.

Der Service ist eine reine Katastrophe! Man musste dem Kellner hinterher laufen, weil er auf Augenkontakt oder Handzeichen nicht reagiert hat. Das Essen war nach 1 1/2 Stunden erst da und war zum Glück besser als der Service. An den jenigen Menschen der hier auf Kritiken so unprofessionell antwortet (ich nehme mal an der Chef persönlich) Sie sollten lieber was ändern als hier wie ein pubertierender Junge zu reagieren.

Draussen unter Efeu platz genommen auf einer Bierzelt Garnitur. Studenten und Gäste mittleren Alters waren vor Ort was das ganze sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Das Essen ist mega was Tappas angeht. Die Karte ist überschaubar und geklärt. Das was aber angeboten wird hat hervorragend geschmeckt und vor allem der Preis hat überzeugt. Kund um eine Schöne Zeit verbracht bei einem geschützten Innenhof / Eingang. Der Service war / ist aufmerksam und ein Lächeln wurde immer einen geschenkt. Kommen gerne wieder um dort zu verweilen.

This place has charmed my friends and I to a whole new level. We always come for drinks here and the service is always consistently good. The interior is very cosy and settling and their garden sitting is alright too.

Eine sehr aufmerksame, freundliche Bedienung. Fragt abends alle Kunden nochmal, ob sie ein Heißgetränk haben wollen, bevor sie die Maschine reinigt. Essen ist sehr lecker und wird schön angerichtet. Ein schönes Ambiente mit angenehmer Musik im Hintergrund

Das Essen war hervorragend. Der Service leider nicht, zwar sehr freundlich, aber unorganisiert. Lange Wartezeiten bei den Getränken ist bei heißem Wetter nicht sehr angenehm. Faire Preise, tolles Ambiente.

Ein umfangreiches Angebot von leckeren Tapas, gute Getränkeauswahl und ein toller, sehr freundlicher Kellner,ein Abend im zugewachsenen Biergarten ( bei den Temperaturen) es war sehr angenehm! Samstag Abend essen, 45 Minuten auf essen warten, viel zu laut und eng. Uns hat es nicht gefallen. Essen war katastrophal Schweinefilet Gorgonzola gruselig nie wieder.

Es hat alles gepasst, die Tapas sehr lecker, Service freundlich, locker und aufmerksam. Sowohl drinnen wie auch im Außenbereich tolles Ambiente

Wir waren zusammen mit Arbeitskollegen vor Ort und haben Tapas vorbestellt, die nach einer Weile Wartezeit auch gekommen sind. Der Kellner vor Ort war sehr bemüht, fragte ständig ob alles in Ordnung sei. Als die Tapas kamen hatte jeder Kollege seinen Teller, ich und eine andere Kollegin mussten warten. Die Kollegin und ich bekamen unseren Teller. Leider bekam ich Fleisch und nicht den bestellten Fisch. Auf Nachfrage meinerseits sagte die Bedienung dass es das wäre, was ich bestellt habe und "knallte" mir den Teller vor die Nase. Auch beim Kellner sagte ich, dass es nicht das Essen sei, was ich bestellt habe. Tatsächlich habe ich mich vertan und auf der Karte war etwas anderes. Aber meiner Meinung nach sollte der Gast noch immer König sein und ein Essen bekommen, was ein Gast wünscht und nicht mit einer barschen Äußerung den Teller vor die Nase "knallen". So viel Flexibilität sollte selbst in Coronazeiten erlaubt sein, um dann ein Wunschessen zu bekommen. Nur zur Klärung: Das Essen selbst war mehr als in Ordnung: Das geröstete Brot mit Aioli, die überbackenen Zucchini war ganz toll, das eingelegte Schweinefleisch in Balsamicosauce war ein nette Idee. Aber ich wollte etwas Anderes. Ich werde zum Messajero wohl nicht mehr hingehen, vielleicht auf ein Bier vom Fass. Aber Essen werde ich dort nicht mehr bestellen.

Das Industrieambiente mit dem Innenhof und der überdachten Terasse fanden wir toll, innen die Decken mit den Bildern sind der Wahnsinn. Alles sehr gemütlich und stimmig eingerichtet. Die lockere Bedienung war fix und authentisch freundlich, sehr, sehr angenehm. Wir haben uns für 8 verschiedene Tapas entschieden, die nahezu alle top waren. Ziegenkäse mit sesam und Honig war ebenso wie die Garnelen ein Traum, vieles super lecker! Einzig das Hühnchen war etwas trocken und der Schweinebraten mit Gorgonzola war bestimmt lecker, aber nicht unser Geschmack. Warmes Brot und eine leckere Aijoli rundeten das Essen ab, die Mengen waren großzügig. Sehr lecker, wir empfehlen das Lokal gerne weiter.

Ich war bereits mehrfach dort und war immer begeistert. Es stimmt einfach alles. Das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und das Ambiente des Ladens ist Klasse. Hier kann man einen romantischen Abend mit dem Liebsten oder auch einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden verbringen. Äußerst Empfehlenswert!!!

Netter kleiner Laden im Umfeld des Gladbacher Bahnhofs. Tapas-artige Gerichte die geschmacklich größtenteils überzeugen können. Preislich noch im Rahmen - etwas lange Wartezeiten obwohl kaum Gäste da waren. Kann man gerne machen und für MG schon wirklich gut!

Die hier servierten Tapas sind etwas anders als das, was man sonst so gewöhnt ist, aber im positiven Sinne. Es gibt pfiffige Kombinationen, die sehr gut schmecken und mit dem Industrie-Ambiente gut harmonieren. Sehr nett.

Wir waren heute das erste mal in diesem Lokal welches uns empfohlen wurde.Guter Tip.Uriges Ambiente,leckere Tapas ,habe leider in Zusammenstellung einen Fehler gemachten.Beim nächsten mal werden wir eine andere Zusammenstellung wählen,was also bedeutet,es war nicht unser letzter Besuch.Auch sehr guter Rotwein im Sortiment.Nicht zufrieden waren wir mit dem Espresso der mehr nach Kaffee ☕️ geschmeckt hat.Ansonsten ein rundherum schöner Abend.Kein normales Lokal,und deswegen eine Bereicherung.

Mit einem Freund habe ich, auf dessen Ratschlag, gestern zum ersten Mal diese Tapas-Bar besucht. Aufgrund der Ferienzeit war es nicht sehr voll, obwohl wir am Samstagabend hier einkehrten. Der lockere Service war sehr schnell an unserem Tisch, nahm die Getränkebestellung entgegen und brachte diese auch recht schnell. Die Getränkepreise sind eher im unteren bis normalen Segment angesiedelt. Wir bestellten dann zusammen 8 verschiedene Tapas, ( Angebot: 4 Tapas €16,50). Alle uns servierten Tapas waren super frisch zubereitet, zusätzlich erhielten wir noch frisches Brot und eine hausgemachte, ganz toll schmeckende Aioli. Jedes der kleinen Gerichte war ein Geschmackserlebnis. Es gab an der Küchenleistung überhaupt nichts auszusetzen, auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhätlnis war mehr als in Ordnung. Einzig zu bemängeln sind die nicht gut riechenden Toiletten. Hier wäre dringend eine Renovierung erforderlich. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind hier auch sehr gut. Sehr gemischtes, lockeres Publikum. Unser gestriger Besuch wird sicher nicht der letzte gewesen sein.

Immer wieder sehr gut und immer wieder gerne dort ! Die Tapas und Dips sind herausragend und alles ist immer super frisch zubereitet ! Deshalb dauert es auch ein wenig länger, aber das ist ja selbsterklärend, wenn man nichts Vorgertigtes bekommt ! Der Service immer sehr authentisch, fröhlich, fix und gut gelaunt !
