We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant, and the food was truly excellent. The selection of Arabic specialties is extensive, everything was freshly prepared, tasted fantastic, and was beautifully presented. The mixed grill was a particular highlight – tender meat, wonderful side dishes, and very authentic flavors. The service was also friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our only minor criticism is the ambiance: the restaurant is a bit too small, which makes it feel cramped. Also, the smell of the food lingers on your clothes after dinner. With a larger space and better ventilation, the atmosphere would be much more pleasant, and the experience would be nearly perfect. Overall, however, we highly recommend it – we will definitely be back.

However, the decor and the interior and exterior of the building are unfortunately not very inviting. There is definitely potential to improve the atmosphere. The platter was incredibly delicious; everything was perfect down to the last detail and beautifully presented on slate platters. The owner is exceptionally kind and attentive; you experience true hospitality here. When we paid, we even received a complimentary little sweet treat – the enjoyment just wouldn't stop! 😄 A definite recommendation. I've truly never experienced such hospitality before, not in Florence, Venice, Rome, St. Tropez, or anywhere else. It was a real pleasure to eat at Zenobia, and we will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we absolutely cannot agree with the positive reviews. Ambience: Outside and inside, it seems old, run-down, unloved, and also quite chaotic. If we hadn't been so curious about the food, we would have left immediately. Service: We were literally talked into buying the large grill plate twice, which was completely over the top, but we ultimately agreed, saying we could take the rest with us. Unfortunately, they only packed the (absolutely not tasty) meat, no side dishes, bread, or pastes. The way they "respond" to the less positive reviews here is pretty cheeky, especially since, looking back, we can now understand these reviews quite well. ... and especially when you use statements like "Respect our traditional cuisine," wouldn't it be friendly and respectful to offer tea as a welcome not only to fellow countrymen, but also to the "natives"... wouldn't it? Cuisine: We know and love Syrian cuisine! But as with any cuisine, you can cook better or worse. Overall, we found this to be overwhelmingly disappointing. The meat was either completely drenched in fat or completely dry. The usual side dishes included a few fried frozen scampi and squid rings (so much for "traditional"), but the pastes and bread were still quite decent. For what it ultimately was, it was definitely extremely overpriced. A shame.

We went there for lunch for the first time today on the recommendation of a colleague. Authentic Arabic cuisine, very friendly staff who are happy to advise you. We had a "small fatush" starter (mixed salad with crispy flatbread pieces), "Everything your heart desires" – a platter (actually designed for one person, but it's very generous; the amount can be adjusted), and a portion of lamb chop (with fries instead of rice). If you're looking to try something new and aren't familiar with Arabic cuisine, the aforementioned platter is perfect, as it includes a variety of appetizers, a meat mix, flatbread, grilled vegetables, and a few dips. The lamb was juicy and not too greasy, the chicken skewer was juicy and tender, and the lamb skewer was excellent; everything was well seasoned. The dips and bread were very good. The pasta was nice and airy and delicious, as it was fresh and homemade. We were stuffed and unfortunately didn't manage dessert, but next time we'll try the popular kunefe with homemade ice cream! Many thanks to Mohamad and his team, we'll definitely be back! P.S.: It's better to make reservations early in the evening, but walk-ins are welcome at lunch. Addendum: We eat there again and again and try new things, it's fantastic!

I reserved a table in the garden, and when I arrived, the tables were dirty. The waiter arrived late to take our order. Hygiene is paramount; he took our order wearing a dirty apron. No chilled drinks (water). The food was oversized; perhaps it should be said that it was a lot. And once you've eaten, you're forgotten and no longer served. We felt very uncomfortable. Absolutely the most amazing and authentic Arabic food you can find in, I suppose, all of Europe! It is a family run restaurant, and the people are extremely warm. We always get the platters, you get everything and avoid the whole decision making process. The mutabal, the hummus, the muhammara (my absolute favourite), the meat manakish, is all to die for. I sound like I am exaggerating, but you will too, once you have eaten here.
