A truly worthwhile restaurant visit. Excellent service, incredibly delicious food, and fantastic wine pairings. My partner had the non-alcoholic drinks and was equally impressed by the unique combinations. Keep it up! The only downside was that we had a table in a busy passageway, so I always had someone behind me. That's why I'm deducting a star.

What an evening at Restaurant Zeitwerk by Robin Pietsch! From the living-room ambiance and the clear, welcoming atmosphere, it was the perfect place to simply enjoy the evening. The service and kitchen team guided us through the evening with incredible ease, joy, and personal conversation… and then the food: indulgent, aromatic, exciting, surprising… each course a new culinary delight… stimulating, challenging, delicious! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Unfortunately, the food on this visit didn't quite live up to our expectations, unlike last year's experience at the neighboring "Pietsch." Each course was delicious on its own, but the overall combination just didn't work for us. There was too much foam, the color was too bland, and the acidity was excessive—especially when paired with the wine, which, on its own, was truly wonderful. Almost every course was so good that even someone very old (and toothless) could have enjoyed it. The lack of variation in texture and consistency prevented it from being perfect for us. A shame, considering the price.

Superb. Dishes that reveal their character, like the Königsberger Klopse, yet are unexpectedly surprising, leaving a lasting impression. It's nice that everyone eats at the same time, in the same rhythm. It's truly stress-free. Background music is unnecessary in the "living room."

We were given this wonderful experience as a gift. You absolutely must make a reservation in advance. You can also specify exactly what you might not eat or tolerate. The staff will also ask you again shortly before the experience. The evening itself is an experience in itself. A small, intimate gathering with excellent explanations of the food for each course and an optional drink package. The food was a pleasant surprise for me, as a picky eater. Except for one course and a small change to another (which was immediately addressed on site), I ate everything and really liked almost everything. You definitely have to get involved and be open to new things. I would also like to particularly mention the fantastic and friendly service staff. They guided us through the evening and entertained us for almost three hours. Fantastic! A quick word about the ambiance: I personally found it a little too dark over the course of the evening, and I missed the view outside, as I like to let my gaze wander from time to time. But I also understand the meaning behind it and that you can and should fully immerse yourself in the experience.

I gave my wife this experience as a gift, and it was a perfect success. She was/is so thrilled and will cherish the memory forever. And it just goes to show that there are no coincidences. This fantastic experience came about because we had originally booked at Pietsch, but we were informed shortly beforehand that we couldn't use it, as a large event was already taking place there. So we opted for Zeitwerk… it was the best thing that could have happened to us. So, thank you again very much, we will wholeheartedly recommend you.

The food was phenomenal, with an intensity of aromas and flavors. And the staff was very friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable all around. The Zeitwerk's cuisine is incisive, distinctive, and imaginative. Using regional produce from the Harz Mountains and surrounding areas, the team succeeds in creating dishes that exude a sense of tension yet never lose their harmony. Very pleasant and attentive service guides you through the evening in a relaxed manner. The wine list includes some of the most exciting winemakers in the Saale-Unstrut region. I wouldn't be surprised if the second star isn't far behind.

We were absolutely blown away. The service was fantastic! The menu was fantastic, the drinks (designed by ourselves, together as a team (alcohol-free)) were daring but top-notch. Even without notice, my pregnancy was taken into consideration and discussed. Everything was explained in detail. They constantly checked that the glasses were watery. The dishes were very clear and well-designed. The restroom was very clean, and everything was taken care of. The chefs worked hand in hand. And the staff were only friendly. Thank you for the wonderful last evening we were able to spend as a couple (soon to be three). 💝

The food was memorable, tasty, and a journey of earthy flavors. The German wines complimented the food, making everything come together as one. The service was at times intrusively efficient and their playlist reminded me of how bad German taste can be, but if you're into food and wine from the highest German peaks, then head to the beautiful Harz.

A menu that begins and ends at the same time for all guests was a new - and very pleasant - experience for us. The dim atmosphere was really reminiscent of a living room, but of course what really stood out was the food and service. We had requested a vegetarian menu and were pleasantly surprised that only nuances of the regular menu were changed in each course. So we had the feeling that we were experiencing the same menu as other guests, but adapted to our diet. Thanks for that! This culinary experience went exactly as we had hoped. There were 9 of us in total and took up almost 50% of all available places. As soon as you entered the restaurant you were greeted professionally but warmly. The rest of the evening went exactly the same way and so, in addition to the tasty creations, which together with the wine/non-alcoholic accompaniment sometimes left a magical impression on the palate, we had very attentive employees who gave a short but sufficient explanation of each course. It was a great experience for us.

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted very friendly by the staff. The ambience in a modern, elegant style gave us a welcoming and inviting feeling right from the start and invited us to linger. The menu with many small courses was very delicious. Simple classic dishes reinterpreted with a lot of creativity and finesse. The dishes were not difficult to understand or taste; the dishes were always explained clearly from course to course. The alcohol-free drinking accompaniment was created very creatively and imaginatively and was in no way inferior to the wine accompaniment. The service was friendly and relaxed and gave us a completely carefree feeling at all times. The restaurant is highly recommended, especially for gourmets who are making their first experience in star gastro. I really enjoyed my visit to the Zeitwerk and will be back next year for the Neue Karte.

The food is so good - my favourite dishes were the pork cheek with pearl barley risotto, the Tote Oma (potato, cabbage and sausage) and the bread course which had some of the most amazing bread I have ever tasted. The servers were very friendly and were very kind to explain all the dishes to me in English as well. Finally, thought that the wine pairing was really interesting - got to taste some very delicious German white wines including some which were made specially for this restaurant.

Die empfohlene Weinbegleitung sowie das außerordentlich zuvorkommende, freundliche & geschulte Team hat den Abend für uns perfekt gemacht. Eigentlich bekannte Speisen und Zutaten, wie z.B. Senfei, völlig neu zubereitet und in einer Atmosphärezum Wohlfühlen serviert. Einfach ein Genuss. Das werden wir ganz sicher wiederholen.

Particularly noteworthy is the non-alcoholic beverage pairing, which by no means seemed a mere substitute, but rather a composition in its own right. Overall a good experience. The food was very attractively prepared and tasty. The wine accompaniment could have been a little bit more in the glass. The juice accompaniment was something special, something completely different. We thought it was a shame that Robin Pietsch didn't show up at all and there could have been a little introduction or a few words to start the evening instead of just starting like that.

Our evening "short break" at Zeitwerk was pretty perfect throughout. Top-notch service, very attentive, extremely friendly, and above all, in a good mood and full of fun, with a few friendly remarks on the tongue. We laughed and enjoyed these wonderful courses. It was truly a special occasion for us, yet you immediately felt at home. There was something for every taste; one dish appeals to you 150%, while another might only appeal to you 80% – tastes are different, after all. I'm a mostly pescatarian, but in such top restaurants, I simply enjoy ingredients that I wouldn't actively order anywhere else. I wouldn't want to order anything off the menu. Nice wine selection: despite the phenomenal alcoholic accompaniment, I "stole" a sip of wine each round and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our highlight: the mushroom course with an upgrade. We'd be happy to return and can definitely recommend it.

As an Audi dealer in Wernigerode, we had the chance to present our customers with an absolute top event for the market launch of the new Audi A6 Avant e-tron with the entire team from “Zeitwerk” and “Pietsch”. For this purpose, we converted the entire Audi hangar into a first-class restaurant. The event was rounded off musically by the band “barcoustics”. Unser Besuch im Restaurant Zeitwerk war ein großartiges kulinarisches Erlebnis. Das Restaurant bietet eine lässige, entspannte Atmosphäre, kombiniert mit einer modernen und stilvollen Einrichtung – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Zeitwerk ist ein Menürestaurant, für pescetarische oder vegetarische Gäste werden Alternativen angeboten, die genauso durchdacht und hochwertig sind wie die Gerichte mit Fleisch oder Fisch. Besonders beeindruckend fanden wir die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung. Sie ist sehr kreativ und wird hausgemacht, mit einer sorgfältigen Abstimmung auf die einzelnen Gerichte. Die Basis bilden meist Tees, Säfte und Kombucha – alles in außergewöhnlichen Kombinationen. Ein Highlight war eine Begleitung mit geräucherter Milch, die perfekt zum Gericht passte. Obwohl auch die Weinbegleitung sehr stimmig war, hat uns die alkoholfreie Variante sogar noch mehr begeistert. Die Gerichte selbst sind aromatisch, raffiniert und haben einen klaren Fokus auf regionale Zutaten. Der Service war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent.

Zeitwerk is a set menu restaurant, and pescatarian or vegetarian guests are offered alternatives that are just as thoughtful and high-quality as the meat or fish dishes. We were particularly impressed by the non-alcoholic beverage selection. It is very creative and homemade, carefully matched to the individual dishes. The base is teas, juices, and kombucha – all in unusual combinations. A highlight was a smoked milk accompaniment, which perfectly complemented the dish. Although the wine pairing was also very harmonious, we were even more impressed by the non-alcoholic version. The dishes themselves are aromatic, sophisticated, and have a clear focus on regional ingredients. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and competent.

Every single course (there were thirteen of them) was a real treat for the palate and a feast for the eyes. The ladies and also the chefs at the Zeitwerk made it unforgettable with their outstanding service. Only when leaving the restaurant you weren't accompanied/helped to put on your jacket like you were at the beginning. But that would be complaining on a high level! Keep it up. Kind regards M. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary ❣️ at the Zeitwerk as a couple. Done exactly right, because everything was great. From the welcome to the end of the super delicious praline.

Unfortunately it was a disappointing evening. The constant asking about the courses was annoying. We found the atmosphere shockingly simple and not worthy of the price. The food itself wasn't a highlight and nothing we didn't already know. At these usual prices we expect exceptional food. There was no feeling of well-being either. It's a SHAME that Mr. Pietsch is showing off his regional compatriots with this exorbitant price. We know fine dining and unfortunately have to describe this visit as our worst fine dining experience.

October 30, 2024 was supposed to be a very special culinary experience for us and we were looking forward to it for a long time. Somehow it was special, particularly little and particularly expensive. The menu wasn't particularly special for us, neither special types of fish or meat nor a presentation of the dishes that was appropriate for the price. For us, egg and mustard sauce were not the slightly different taste that speaks for a star cuisine, The pointed cabbage as part of the “dead grandma” dish was far too salty, the piece of beef was so tiny that the taste could hardly be perceived, and we could only guess that the soup was on the plate. The dessert simply lacked sophistication. A cream puff is not what we expected. We were very disappointed. The price in no way reflects what is presented. The portion size was unreasonable, if that means star cuisine, something is wrong. Too bad.

The stay at ZeitWerk was really a highlight! Above all, the attentive and incredibly entertaining service, alongside the food, ensured an unforgettable evening. Even if individual courses (e.g. the meat course or the mustard egg) were not completely convincing, the menu was still worth every euro. However, the new location seems a bit plain and cold, and the furniture is quite simple. In any case, it can hardly be described as a “living room” anymore.

Always for our wedding anniversary, we'll do it again next year.

Very good creative cuisine and something for the eye and palate. What doesn't top it all off are the exobitant trade mishaps on the alcoholic drinks (e.g. Teroldego Madonna delle Vittorie). I can order them online at a very reasonable price. I find that more than worrying. for a restaurant. I find it strange that there is only one toilet for both genders. Overall, thanks to the good service, it was a good evening and an experience that doesn't need to be repeated. The spatial environment and the interior design radiate a chilled ambience.

We have already been to “Pietzsch” and now to Zeitwerk: It was a great evening, the individual courses were fantastic, the “dead grandma” upgrade is definitely recommended. The service was also great, very attentive and friendly. A great evening, we are already looking forward to the new menu. Many thanks to the great team at Zeitwerk.

The taste, the aromas of the little “works of art” dishes were indescribable!!! The drinks too! The service was very engaging and (a little too) formal! Unfortunately, the service could not answer all questions about the food. Too bad! We would also have liked more regional selection of drinks (Harz region). Especially since the focus was on the menu with Harz specialties. Here, for example, only two juice spritzers were offered as non-alcoholic drinks from the Altmark. The atmosphere is modern and sober, we loved the glass kitchen. All in all, an incredible taste experience, at a hefty price, but definitely worth it!!!

Sehr gute kreative Küche und etwas für das Auge +Gaumen. Was die ganze nicht abrundet, sind die exobitanten Handelspannen, auf die alkoholischen Getränke ( z.B. Teroldego Madonna delle Vittorie VK 10,90 , im Ek unter 10 Euro). Das empfinde ich, mehr als Bedenklich. für ein Restaurant. Seltsam finde ich, das nur ein WC für beide Geschlechter vorhanden ist. Insgesamt war es dank des guten Services, ein guter Abend und eine Erfahrung wert, der es allerdings keiner Wiederholung bedarf. P.S. Das räumliche Umfeld und die Innenausstattung, strahlt ein unterkühltes Ambiente aus.

As expected, the food was really delicious. The menu was served at a comfortable interval and the explanations were very good. Questions could also be asked. Only the breed of beef was not known. The wine (a bit overpriced in the wine list) to accompany the wine was very well selected and went perfectly with the respective course. The individual courses were extremely attractively presented. The evening is already a highlight.

Ausgezeichnete Küche, die den Bezug zur Region sucht und in sehr leckeren Gerichten innovativ auf den Punkt bringt. So genial habe ich ein Senfei noch nie gegessen. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und perfekter und super netter Service. Wir sind bereits zum zweiten Mal zu Gast und kommen sehr gerne wieder.
