We had an unforgettable evening with many exceptional delicacies, perfectly paired wines, and incredibly attentive service! The dishes were so meticulously presented and true works of art, almost too beautiful to eat! All the creations and their ingredients were explained to the guests, as were the accompanying wines. The personal conversations with the team, especially with the chef Louis, who has already earned a Michelin star at such a young age, were also very impressive! Absolutely top-notch. Exceptionally good international cuisine with an Asian touch. Modern ambiance, with a view of the kitchen and the opportunity to chat with the chefs. Not your typical restaurant atmosphere. Exquisite service with perfectly curated drinks. In addition to alcoholic beverages, they also offer delicious homemade creations. One drawback for my wife and me personally was the bar stools, as there was limited legroom. However, this doesn't warrant deducting a star, as everything else was truly exceptional. If you prefer to sit on regular chairs, we recommend the Zeitwerk restaurant right next door. Equally good cuisine, with a slightly more regional focus.

A fantastic restaurant with incredibly charming hosts, servers, and chefs, plus a superb menu full of delightful surprises and of the highest quality. Even after the official part of the meal and the dinner were over, but our bottle of wine was still half full, we were able to finish it at our leisure and chat with the staff, who shared some behind-the-scenes stories and gave us wonderful insights into the world of Michelin-starred restaurants. It was truly enjoyable! We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

The menu consists of culinary highlights with an Asian influence, offering unparalleled intensity of flavor and complexity. This is complemented by perfect wine pairings and wonderfully warm and personalized service. As Michelin says, one star signifies "a cuisine full of finesse – worth a stop!", two stars "top-class cuisine – worth a detour!"... For us, it was well worth the trip from Munich!

We were at Restaurant Pietsch on our tenth wedding anniversary, October 15, 2025: We were let into the restaurant at 6:50 p.m. and greeted warmly and courteously by some of the staff. We were seated at the bar/counter, where we were led. We opted for the juice accompaniment. We were greeted with three chocolates, or canapés. The texture and flavor were wonderful and made us want more, greatly increasing our anticipation. The first course, a Chinese baozi, a steamed yeast dough bun filled with red shrimp and served with a mayonnaise spread, was incredibly spicy, pleasant, with an extra crunch (with what? Be prepared to be surprised). The other courses were varied, ranging from excellent to exceptional in taste, rich in texture, and very pleasing to the eye. The juice accompaniments were varied, very tasty, and sometimes unusual (for example, sea rice with raspberries). The service from sommelier Florian Raake and chef Luis Hendricks was perfect, attentive, willing to explain, and enriched the evening. All in all, another perfect experience, highly recommended.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Pietsch Restaurant. Every dish was an explosion of flavors. It was also fascinating how the very young team harmoniously and calmly prepared the international dishes in front of the guests. Blending different flavors together to create a culinary delight is a fine art. The ambiance is also stylish, youthful, and modern, and the 3.5 hours flew by. Unfortunately, we had to decline our wine pairing. They only presented dry wines that didn't appeal to us. As passionate wine connoisseurs, I have to say that a semi-dry or even a late harvest wine also belongs in a Michelin-starred restaurant. All in all, our expectations were fully met. And we really enjoyed the little gift for our 40th wedding anniversary at the end of the evening – thank you for that. Keep up the good work and stay the way you are. See you next time at Zeitwerk.

We had a perfect evening at Pietsch. The ambiance is very tastefully decorated, the bar stools soft and comfortable, and with only 18 seats, it's also very intimate. The kitchen team, led by Luis Hendricks, is perfectly coordinated. Everything ran very smoothly. You can watch the dishes being prepared and ask questions at the same time, which made the evening very interactive. The chefs serve together with the waiters and then introduce the individual courses to all guests. The meal itself was a dream and transported us on a delicious journey through Asia. The flavors were perfectly coordinated, and it looked beautiful. An experience for anyone who loves great food and wants to experience such a friendly team.

The two stars for Chef Luis Hendricks and his team are certainly deserved. We wouldn't be surprised if a third were added soon. Incredibly imaginative, surprising creations, each course a highlight. The variety of aromas and the intensity of flavor of the often Asian-influenced ingredients, each described in detail by a team member, made us curious about the next course. The whole experience took place in a casual, relaxed, almost familial atmosphere. It was fascinating to watch the dishes being presented directly behind the long counter where the guests sat. This also provided an opportunity for frequent conversations and questions, for which the Chef and his team always took the time to answer. Also worth mentioning is the comprehensive advice from the knowledgeable sommelier. All in all, a fantastic evening, thank you very much!

Located in the heart of Wernigerode, Restaurant Pietsch is located right next to Restaurant Zeitwerk in a picturesque courtyard. The restaurant itself offers 14 seats at the bar and two separate tables, each with seating for two. The dishes are prepared directly in front of the guests.

Overall, the food was very good. I liked the textures best. Almost every course had crunch, runny, and creamy textures combined in one bite. The lobster was excellent. The restaurant has a very Asian feel. For sensitive foodies, there was too much chili. The dishes are very complex, sometimes too complex. I often had trouble distinguishing the ingredients. The view of the kitchen is nice and close. The ambiance is very rustic, with lots of concrete.

The menu with Asian influences was a delight throughout, each course a highlight in its own right. It's hard to say which was best – if I had to choose, maybe the red prawn and the curry. Simply fantastic :-)

Perfect Michelin-starred cuisine at the highest level. The individual dishes are true works of art. The wine pairing is also excellent. The service is friendly, charming, and attentive, yet relaxed. In any "normal" restaurant, I would criticize the austere concrete ambiance. Here, it doesn't matter at all. You watch the proceedings with excitement, enjoying the small culinary works of art with their explosions of flavor. We also find the value for money very good. We'll be back.

The introduction to each course was provided by the young kitchen team. All members of the staff were open to conversation, and we were very impressed that we were able to leave our feedback. My visit to the Pietach restaurant was about two months ago, and this is my summary. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted in a friendly and relaxed manner. The concept is an open kitchen with a long counter serving as a table, seating approximately 20 people. The menu consisted of many small courses, with a clear leaning toward Asian cuisine. The dishes were very experimental and aromatic. There was a lot of work with acidity and spiciness, but the kitchen still managed to achieve a good balance between these dishes and coordinate everything well. The kitchen team also did an excellent job of combining heat and cold. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this evening there. It was a wonderful experience to be able to let these intense flavors melt on my palate. The service was also excellent, very attentive and relaxed. I opted for the non-alcoholic beverage, which was in no way inferior to the alcoholic one. Homemade juices, which have been carefully crafted, are rich in flavor and perfectly matched to the dishes – a true highlight. At the Pietsch Restaurant, you'll experience truly unique cuisine that's a lot of fun and enjoyable. Don't expect classic, perfectly harmonious cuisine. No, you'll find exciting, creative cuisine with very daring flavors.

A concrete-look room was completely booked with 18 guests. The stylish ambiance and pleasant temperature immediately created a cozy atmosphere. Each course is presented to the group after it's served, and everyone begins the culinary experience at the same time. Of the 15 dishes, 13 were worth three ⭐️ for my wife and me, and two dishes were worth two ⭐️. Why? Spice, heat, exotic flavors, umami, and kick, all perfectly balanced. This is a team that's going all out and wants a second star. Rightly so. Thanks for the wonderful evening and the excellent wine recommendation. I ordered the Gewürztraminer "Sonnenglanz" online that same night.

We were at Zeitwerk a year ago and were absolutely thrilled. Now we wanted to treat ourselves to a meal at Pietsch, which worked out perfectly. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we immediately felt at home. We were completely satisfied from the first moment to the last. Each course is a true explosion of flavors, the harmony of aromas giving each bite a special excitement. We also really liked the loving explanations of each course. The team is very friendly, and you always feel welcome. We definitely recommend it and would gladly return.

Guests are expected to arrive at 7 pm. There is just 1menu, there is also an vegetarien option. You will be served together with the other guests several courses with accompaning wines and even sake. A very pleasant, perfectly functional restaurant. Unfortunately, one course was too salty. A real shame, as there was an upgrade option with caviar, which I didn't want to miss. The menu was unique and the price of 170.00 euros per person was justified in our opinion. However, one felt “ripped off” with the drinks. The water was included in the price of the menu. Wine and aperitif were charged per 100ml. Ultimately, this left a bad taste in our mouths and dampened the experience of the evening.

We were able to experience an incredible world of taste in a great atmosphere. The direct contact with the chefs is particularly good because the dishes are explained in great detail. For my taste, the skin of the duck could have been crispier and the flavors of some dishes even more varied.
