Zeinert`s Gasthof in Nordenham

It seems closed to me. Actually, it's a shame. I've been there a lot with my grandma. I wanted to have coffee there with my mother and found myself in front of the locked door.

Were there as part of a larger birthday event. I know the restaurant from my childhood and from various predecessors. Previously everything was made of dark wood and with comfortably separated tables, but now everything is bright and open. Personally, I liked the cozy style better, but that wouldn't stop me from eating here. Apparently there is a larger room that is specifically designed for larger guest groups/events. Unfortunately, in our case this room was booked by another group of guests and as a result it was sometimes very loud and we felt cramped. The staff was quite friendly, but sometimes seemed a bit overwhelmed, but that may have been due to the two large groups. It started relatively quickly with a manageable salad and small pizza rolls. There was then a longer break until the dishes previously agreed upon by the host were served. Various types of meat and fish were arranged on several plates and stood on warming plates on the tables. There were also side dishes such as fries, croquettes, rosemary fried potatoes and rice. Unfortunately, there was no refill here, which surprised me a bit. The meat was Mediterranean seasoned, okay overall, not world class, but not bad either. According to the person sitting next to me, fish was also okay. For dessert there was vanilla ice cream with cream, with either chocolate sauce or raspberry sauce. Not spectacular, but the kids enjoyed it. All in all it was okay, I can't say anything about the prices because we were invited. I would perhaps visit the restaurant again soon and change my rating if necessary.
