Delicious burgers and very friendly staff, I would definitely come back again! Unfortunately, we couldn't make a reservation and had to wait a short while, but that wasn't a problem since we could sit in the bar next door, which is part of the restaurant. We were then called in when our table was ready and were able to take our drinks with us – very customer-oriented! 😊

My favorite animal is the beer tap. A great, rustic pub with a huge selection of Franconian beers. There are about 30 varieties, if I counted correctly, and 6 of them are on tap. I absolutely loved it here, and the server was incredibly friendly, even though she's from Dortmund! 😂

There were four of us for lunch. The place is easy to find. If you're arriving by car, you can park in the Geyerswörth parking garage, for example. They serve delicious, handmade burgers at reasonable prices. The desserts are also worth mentioning. The huge selection of beers is noteworthy. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is just right for the food.

Four people ate there, and three of them developed symptoms of food poisoning – from diarrhea to vomiting (I've never thrown up so much in my life...). The service staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, half of the menu items were suddenly unavailable. The atmosphere was quite nice.

After many years of sporadically eating burgers, you don't really expect many surprises—most concepts are familiar. Things were different for me at the tap: After a long time, I was (positively) surprised by a burger (the wild garlic bomb, to be precise). Excellent ingredients, brilliant composition. Edit: Recently, I realized that the sweet potato fries were a bit over the top—they were overcooked, I think, and unfortunately extremely greasy. I'll come back to test whether that's the default now. Edit 2: I was there again recently, and the sweet potato fries were back to normal. Back to 5 stars!

Excellent, we stumbled upon it by chance as we saw the passage from the Regnitz River. A beautiful beer garden, off the beaten track. Super friendly service, the food may seem simple, but it's extremely extensive thanks to its variety, from vegan to meat-based, all sourced from local producers. Not to mention the beer menu, and they also serve excellent Prosecco. Very child-friendly, as children up to seven years old eat for free. Restrooms are super clean, and the value for money is excellent.

The portions are generous, the sides delicious, and everything is lovingly prepared. Add to that the super friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. An absolute recommendation for all burger lovers in Bamberg!

After a misunderstanding, we were yelled at for 10 minutes by the owner, who couldn't calm down. Unfortunately, insults ("sp*st*") were also thrown around. WAR bisher eines meiner liebsten Lokale in BA. Leider kein Safe-Space für queere Personen. Trotz erheblicher Beleidigungen von schwer alkoholisierten Gästen wurde NACH AUFFORDERUNG nichts zu deren Schutz unternommen. Kaum aus dem Lokal wurden sogar Morddrohungen ausgesprochen. NICHTS geschah. An alle queeren Menschen: Sucht euch andere Lokale in Bamberg.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately, there were two extremely loud, noticeably unpleasantly drunk groups of men in the beer garden who repeatedly chatted up us and shouted jokes at our group. It felt very unsafe... At least we were given the opportunity to sit down somewhere else...

Das Essen war sehr lecker und gut! Aber der Service ist nicht kooperativ! Frauen werden im Lokal von betrunkenen Gästen nach CSD Parade unter den Augen der Bedienung beleidigt und gedemütigt! Bei Nachfragen nach einem anderen Platz wird verneint ,obwohl genügend andere Plätze frei sind , die vor dem betrunkenem Mob Abstand gehalten hätten. Die überaus agressiven Männer wurden weiterhin von der Bedienung mit Alkohol versorgt, das die agressive Stimmung noch anheizte! Schade, die Geschäftsleitung denkt anscheinend nur an den kurzfristigen Umsatz und ist auf dem rechten Auge blind! Ich war selbst nicht betroffen , würde dieses Lokal nach diesem Vorfall aber aus diesem Anlass nicht mehr weiterempfehlen! Schade…

Great atmosphere and great food. Since it was a holiday, there was no wait, and we were able to choose a table. The waiter even asked us directly if we needed an ashtray, and whether we just wanted the beer or the menu as well. Wait times for beer and food were virtually nonexistent, but it wasn't busy either. Almost all dishes are vegetarian and vegan available. Next time we'll be back with our whole group of friends :)

A truly successful evening at Zapfhahn We went to Zapfhahn on a Friday evening without a reservation and still managed to get a nice seat in the small beer garden in the courtyard. The place is cozy and has a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The service was truly excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and gave us excellent advice on choosing beer and food. You don't experience service like that every day – competent, funny, and relaxed... Truly amazing! The food, especially the burgers, was spot on and simply really good. (We were even asked how we wanted the meat.) We also really enjoyed the beers. All in all, a very nice evening – we'll definitely be back 🫶🏼

This evening we were finally able to test the tap after it had already been advertised to us several times in advance. In hindsight I have to admit that it wasn't as hoped... it was better. The service was very friendly and had a warm atmosphere. The selection of local beer is very large, but the menu is rather meager (which is irrelevant since you probably come primarily for the burgers). I decided on the vegan version and was very surprised at how juicy a soy boulette can be. Also very well rounded by all the ingredients. All in all a pleasant location, friendly staff and for me by far the best burger in Bamberg and the surrounding area. Gladly again!

Unfortunately I can only give the Zapfhahn restaurant 2.5 to 3 stars. The burgers are always solid and generally worth a visit, but having decent burgers is no longer a unique selling point these days. It's also nice to linger in the interior of the restaurant - actually. Unfortunately, on relatively warm days, food is only served in the courtyard until 8 p.m. Guests are not allowed to use the interior as a dining room during this time - that's the rule! Of course, not very pleasant for pollen allergy sufferers. It doesn't help me if allergy-friendly foods are offered. There are supposed to be people who don't like insects while eating... but no, the rule is the rule. Things are typically German here - as a guest you have to adapt to the rigid conditions. Okay, got it - so only the courtyard is available before 8 p.m. But you shouldn't be deceived by the pictures on Google. The inner courtyard looks pretty run down these days, the chairs are extremely uncomfortable and the tables are partly weathered. Since the courtyard is a transit courtyard, from previous experience it can sometimes be drafty and cool. Not only are you forced to eat your food outside with pollen and bugs, no, you are also forced to sit in the most uncomfortable and unkempt area of ​​the restaurant. But that's just how the operator decided. Unfortunately for me it's another sign of the arrogance in which our Bamberg gastronomy currently lives. So if you are in Bamberg and only have to sit outside, then I can recommend the Bamberg beer gardens in the surrounding area to all readers of this review. There is actually mostly Narur charm included. And in my personal opinion, even the worst beer garden/cellar is more beautiful and well-kept than the inner courtyard of the Zapfhahn restaurant. But if you're desperate for tap burgers, you'll probably have to accept the prevailing regulations here. But I was able to do without it today - there are plenty of alternatives in Bamberg.

It used to be my favorite restaurant. Now I haven't been there for a long time and was bitterly disappointed. The sweet potato fries were black, unfortunately that's just how it was when asked. The burgers weren't anything special either, there wasn't much meat. Plus they were really expensive. The Mac n Cheeseballs tasted very neutral. Once one of my favorite shops, now the restaurant will no longer see me.

Dear tap team, After our food was forgotten twice (6 people, which can happen), we got our food after 120 minutes. That was good, but when we were offered a free drink and it wasn't even one of the 15 types of beer on the menu, but espresso, we were a little disappointed. I was hanging out in Bamberg on New Year's Eve and had researched in advance the large selection of beers on tap. Totally nice atmosphere, a good burger and great conversation with guests from all over the world. After the disappointment in the Mexican restaurant on my last trip, Bamberg's honor has been restored! Congratulations, and again: Thank you & I look forward to the next time.

Burger tastes good, but the price/performance doesn't suit me. Burgers for an average of 16-17€ were quite small, side dishes were very small, fries were either too long or way too hot in the deep fryer. Burger buns all look the same, regardless of whether they are brioche or potato, the buns are so dry that they crumble into 20 pieces when eaten. Overall, not enough for those called! Great beer selection, but I wouldn't come back for the food!

Quaint restaurant and our service was very nice. We would definitely NOT go there again to eat. There were five of us and we ordered 4x chicken burgers. You had to look for the lukewarm meat, just 1/4 of the roll. When asked if there was always so little meat, they said. That's what the boss ordered...only the fries were tasty. For over €17 I expect something different. As compensation we were offered an espresso, which we took. But we will never eat there again and really can't recommend it! The service was very nice! But unfortunately it didn't rip out either!

We were at this restaurant on October 16th at 5pm and I'm sorry to say it was one of the most disappointing experiences we've ever had. The prices for the burgers are completely exorbitant - sometimes over 20 euros for a burger that doesn't even begin to fill you up. The sweet potato fries (see picture) were inedible, black and appeared to be fryer leftovers from the last 3 days. The couscous salad bowl was also a disappointment: the peach was as hard as an apple and the three small cubes of halloumi were simply a disgrace. It was really frustrating to pay so much money for such a bad meal. Overall, it was one of the worst restaurant visits we have experienced in all of Bamberg. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately zero stars are not possible... that's why 1 star 🤢

What's the point of offering 40 bids if you basically throw out guests who just want to try one of them quickly? According to the totally unfriendly service manager (?), we (6 people) are probably in the way of other guests. Waited for their colleague who wanted to ask about a table. But it was already reserved... Which wasn't obvious, but (as she remarked smugly) she had it in her head... And when one of us commented that we would probably leave then, she followed up with us saying that that would be best...!

Went to the tap yesterday and ate 3 different burgers and ribs Ribs: 5/10 There was an extra Low and Slow on the menu and you didn't notice it, the meat was really stuck to the bone and you could hardly separate it, the taste was average but really nothing more.. Burgers: 5/10 The meat was very dry across the board, although it was ordered medium, and the taste was average Price: 17 euros with a side dish and dip for the cheapest burger is really way too much money.. If I go again it will definitely just be for the beer
