Zaika in Berlin

Absolutely delicious Indian restaurant. Fast and attentive service. Special requests are handled very well. A flavor explosion of spices. Always happy to return from Lichtenrade to Pb😍 Dogs are also not a problem.

Unfortunately there is no labeling of vegetarian or vegan dishes. The vegan proportion of dishes could be higher for an Indian restaurant.

The food was really good and delicious. Especially the Lam Seekh Kebab which was very well marinated and prepared and couldn't be better. If you eat meat, you should definitely try it.

Good cuisine, but atmosphere destroyed I am a big fan of Indian food and have never been disappointed with the food or the extremely friendly service at this restaurant. The shop is also really tastefully decorated and actually invites you to linger. Unfortunately, this positive overall picture is completely destroyed by a disturbing situation: a regular customer appears to be using the restaurant as his personal home office. I watched him there regularly for weeks. He sits in his seat, has loud conversations - apparently for work - and keeps talking about topics like fireworks. This is not only annoyingly loud, but also takes away any charm from the otherwise relaxed atmosphere. What is particularly disappointing is that the staff, although always friendly, spend a lot of time with this gentleman, making other guests feel like they are less of a focus. For me as a guest, it feels like I'm sitting in a Starbucks, not in a restaurant that promises comfort and good food. If the restaurant doesn't get this situation under control, I'll probably consider coming back in the future. It's a shame, because the food is really fantastic - but the atmosphere is just as important!

Nice place, typical Indian restaurant it Berlin nowadays . We go there since years, the food is good and the staff kind enough.

Ordered chicken saagwala online. Wasn't delivered. Get some vegetarian dish instead. The chicken tikka masala was also nothing, completely tasteless. The first and unfortunately also the last order.

Maaaan the only place that makes jafrezi super spicy by default 🌶️ I loooooove it thanks 🙏 delivery was neat, no spillovers or whatsoever because it was packed properly ❤️

The food at Zaika tastes delicious, if you want decent and tasty Indian food, then you are in good hands here! The service is great.

I ordered from the restaurant through Wolt. The food arrived pretty quickly and it was tasty until I started fishing foil out of the food. I wouldn't order from them again

The lunch offer for €5.90 in 2024 is incredible. You probably won't get the best meal of your life, but there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Even a soup is included for free and everything tastes great.

We ordered No 73 online, incredibly bad - raw peppers, extremely thick onion. I would have preferred to run to Penny. 🥺 I could have cooked better.

Kennen dieses Restaurant seit Min. 15 Jahren und waren in der Vergangenheit immer sehr zufrieden sowohl was das Essen als auch die aufmerksame und gastbezogene Zuwendung. Leider scheinen die Betreiber gewechselt zu haben und wir waren heute nicht zufrieden. Essen war wie immer gut, aber der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig. Obwohl wir eine Woche für 9 Personen vorbestellt hatten und einen Tag uns vorher noch telef. vergewissert haben, ob alles klappt, waren keine Plätze vorbereitet und dann wurden erst Tische zusammen geschoben. Blumenvase musste erst erfragt werden und bis wir bestellen konnten dauerte es etwas. Dann klappte aber der Service.

My Indian friends recommended me Zaika when I asked them where I can try South Indian cuisine, as most of the places in Berlin are North Indian. The interior looks a bit old and not so chic as some other Indian restaurants. But when the food is served, you forget about everything else (e.g. we forgot to take any photos). Best Indian food in Berlin for my taste: rich yet delicate flavour, good texture, and traditional serving. We tried the lentil soup, naan, and a couple of curries. All top notch. Will definitely come back!

Have I actually not rated this restaurant yet? I lived on the same street for two years and ate here more regularly back then, but I still enjoy coming here from Wedding. For me THE Indian in Berlin, I don't need anyone else.

Have very good in the side street. sat facing the park opposite. Food was delicious, no long waiting times. We found a place at around 6:20 p.m. even without a reservation. At the end there was a delicious liqueur at the house's expense. Keep it up.

Unfriendly and rude staff. Especially the waiter with long hair. Cheating. Because of this, the rating of the entire restaurant suffers. I strongly do not recommend visiting this place.

We occasionally eat Indian food at Zaika. It is by far the best of the Indian restaurants that we tested, especially in Weißensee. I'm not a fan of Indian food, but the lentil soup and mango lassi keep me coming back to this restaurant, much to my wife's delight. If you like good affordable Indian food, I can only recommend this restaurant.

It was very tasty - chicken vindaloo with a great starter soup, with papadums in between. Portion super enough for lunch.

Fast service, delicious food, I was there at lunchtime during the week, so it was very quiet. On weekends parents with children are often there late, which is very noisy.

I ordered Gobi pakoda but there was only one pakoda in the order and the taste is not good

We ordered here again via Lieferando. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all. The lamb with cream sauce was very lightly seasoned and tasted more like goulash. Vegetarian with pineapple was so spicy you almost couldn't eat it. Yes, I was careful when ordering. Lieferando didn't say anything about spicy. There was nothing in the ingredients that indicated that it could be spicy either. I like to eat something spicier. But that was inedible. But you could use it to season the lamb quite well. It's a shame, we had very good experiences with this restaurant in the past.

We've been coming here every now and then for a good 15 years and what can I say...? The food is fantastic, the service is more than accommodating and the ambience is simply fantastic. It's hard to choose a meal because everything sounds so delicious. Every single dish that my family and I have eaten so far has been outstanding. We'd love to come back again and again 😇🌞

Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen. Getränke und Speisen wurden auch zügig serviert. Geschmacklich war alles gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überein. Es handelz sich um ein solides indisches Restaurant.

Visited specifically for their special Sunday menu. Tried out the mutton haleem and nihari. Amazing food with an authentic spicy flavour. Would definitely recommend along with namkeen lassi (chhaas).

Vorsicht! Hier wurden anscheinend 99% der Bewertungen gekauft, ich habe noch nie so geschmackloses und überteuertes indisches Essen gegessen, der Service hat ewig gedauert und war sehr unfreundlich, nie wieder! Außerdem hat es im ganzen Restaurant leicht nach Toilette gerochen, als wir die Bedienung darauf ansprachen, meinte sie, sie "würde nichts riechen", obwohl sich schon mehrere Gäste beschwert hatten.

Best Indian food in town. As seen on tv!

Ein Besuch lohnt sich immer. Gehe seit 10 Jahren regelmäßig bei Zaika essen und werde es weiterhin tun, solange ich es kann :) Preis -Leistung ist einfach unschlagbar.

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant am Humannpark in Prenzlauer Berg. Typisch indische Speisen. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und aufmerksamer Service. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Das Zaika zählt zu den besten indischen Restaurants in Berlin.

Weltbester Inder in Berlin. Komme seit Jahren Regelmäßig und konnte noch nie was negatives sagen.

Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber das Essen ist sher gut

Sollten 130 Euro bezahlen, beim Rechnung anschauen (auf dem Handy der Bedienung) standen Dinge drauf, die wir nicht hatten. Danach waren es 90 Euro. Kurzer Halbsatz - das Handy spinnt manchmal.... Keine Entschuldigung. Muss ich jedenfalls nicht nochmal hin. Schade, weil das Essen war gut.

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft und zu empfehlen.

Very nice Indian Restaurant. The food isn't to spicy.

Letztens waren wir mal wieder ein paar Tage in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. Da wir indisch gerne mögen, sind wir wieder zum Zaika gefahren. Das Essen war top, schon die Suppe Nr. 5 war genial und die Zaika Platte super lecker. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Bei der Wärme haben wir natürlich draussen gesessen. Wir waren so zufrieden, dass wir am dritten Tag noch mal dort essen waren und sogar Familie mitgenommen haben. Wie schon bei vergangenen Berlin-Reisen werden wir nächstes Mal wiederkommen.

Total disappointment. I took my favorite butter chicken and got raw cube-shaped chicken with holes And raw, completely inedible. who serves raw chicken? the salad in the picture - a very small portion all together 11 euros thrown in the trash. After seeing the chicken, I was scared to eat rice....never again

Leider waren die Kellner nicht sehr freundlich. Das Essen war leider lauwarm. Cocktails mit wenig Alkohol.

Essen war immer gut. Leider hat man uns dann aber vergessen. Wir hätten gern noch etwas zu trinken bestellt, aber leider kam der Service nicht zu unserem Tisch. Auch zum bezahlen mussten wir dann reingehen. Beim Service gibt es also noch Luft nach oben.

Not many Indian restaurants our there will deliver a consistently delicious experience. Zaika stands out because of consistency, friendly service, reasonable prices and delicious food!

Haben das Restaurant nach den guten Bewertungen ausprobiert und waren nicht begeistert. Schmuddeliges Ambiente, viele Fliegen im Gastbereich, Tische wirkten unsauber, laute Musik, so dass wir in den Außenbereich wechselten. Das Essen war ok und scharf, wie gewünscht. Letztlich aber kein überzeugender Auftritt. Schade.

Wir haben ein tolles Abendessen im Zaika bekommen. Alle waren rundum zufrieden. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich.

I had been going to zaika over 6 years now and I can say its the best Indian food in Berlin in terms of taste as well as quality. Highly recommend.

Empfehlenswertes und schnörkelloses indisches Restaurant mit großer Auswahl allermöglichen Speisen. Bedienung und Service freundlich und sympathisch. Reservierung wird empfohlen. Auch draußen kann man schön vor dem Restaurant sitzen.

Personal sind freundlich, auch das Essen ist gut gewürzt und schmeckt lecker.

The best Indian restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg: we habe been visiting it since 2008. It always the same good quality, also not over priced and really cosy sitting here.

Order chicken chilli and garlic naan and that was the worst dinner i have ever had. There was no garlic in the naan, instead it was filled with sesame seeds. The chicken chill which apparently was supposed to be spicy(as mentioned on the app) but it was sweet and super oily. Fyi: All the people who ate the food are sick right now.

Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen ging so, aber leider sehr viele Gerichte auf der Karte... und da weiß man ja, wie das hergestellt wird... So hat es dann auch geschmeckt...

Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort. Das Essen kam zur gleichen Zeit, hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Nette Bedienung.

Hab von Kollegen und Freunden schon viel gutes über das Zaika gehört und auch das man Platz 1 bei mein Lokal, dein Lokal gemacht hat, ist mir zu hören gekommen. Also war es an der Zeit, mal selber vorbeizuschauen. Ich empfehle als erstes zu reservieren, da wir es nicht getan haben, bekamen wir nur noch einen Platz "im Keller“. Haben das Chicken Curry bestellt, was gut war, aber nicht herausstach wie zum Beispiel in 1-2 Läden, wo ich zuvor war. Mein Naan Brot mit Knoblauch kam leider mit Verspätung, sodass ich mit meinem Essen so gut wie fertig war und auch das nur auf Nachfrage, aber dafür war es bis jetzt das beste was ich hatte. Reis war leider etwas klumpig. Somit war meine Erfahrung am heutigen Tag leider durchwachsen, jedoch lag es vielleicht daran, dass heute viel zu tun war und vielleicht hab ich beim nächsten mal mehr Glück.
