We were group of 5 people, food was up to good standards, Our waiter Rampaal was very attentive and took good care of us.

It takes far too long and eating makes your stomach ache

This was THE BEST Indian restaurant we have ever been to. The food was out of this world and the service was so amazing. All the staff were really welcoming especially Deep and Amrita. The atmosphere was really relaxed. It was honestly the best restaurant experience we have ever had. You should definitely come here you will not regret it. I really hope they open up another branch in the UK but if not I don’t mind flying all the way to Germany just to come here again.

Very big and very crowded. This makes it relatively loud and impersonal. The food came very quickly. it was definitely above average, although a little bland. There was more staff than usual and always friendly and accommodating.

Food was fine however, I realised after that they had a children’s menu which they never offered us because they were so busy. I wouldn’t go back because despite booking a table for 3 we were given a table for 2 and expected to manage. We were so short of space that when our food arrived they placed only one bowl of rice instead of 2 because there was no room for the second. My daughter also dropped food because we were juggling plates and bowls. The long table of guests next to us was also somewhat taken back by the fact that we were in essence sitting at their table - I felt compelled to apologise to them!! So I was somewhat irritated anyway which was made worse by one of the servers then deciding to use foul language in Punjabi right behind me on the assumption that no one would understand. I understood what was said and was disgusted. The staff sent 3 different members of staff to apologise but we paid our bill and left. My advice- if you are not happy with the table they attempt to dump you on - walk out - I wish we had.

Fantastic service, and fantastic food. Very affordable, both food and drinks. You can eat a meal and have an alcoholic drink for under 17 Euro each.

The Indian Tandoori Restaurant Amrit on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is a true gem among the Indian restaurants in Berlin. The furnishings are very attractive, with bright and friendly decorations that create a spacious and absolutely feel-good atmosphere. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, which makes the stay even more pleasant. I was there on a Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., and even though the restaurant was full, we quickly managed to get a seat for our group of five people without a reservation. The menu came quickly, the drinks were picked up quickly, and we were able to order our food quickly. Despite the full house, the waiting time was surprisingly short, which is an indication of the operators' well-structured processes. The food was incredibly tasty and tender, cooked to perfection. The price-performance ratio is excellent. I was particularly impressed by the pricing of the cocktails. During happy hour they only cost €5.90, all evening long! For a big city like Berlin, this is truly phenomenal. The cocktails were not only inexpensive, but also very well mixed and contained a fair amount of alcohol. When I'm back in Berlin, I will definitely eat at Amrit again. I can only recommend it to anyone who loves Indian cuisine. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a fantastic restaurant!

The service was very good, but the ambience was very loud due to the size of the restaurant. But still we didn't have to wait very long for the food, which is great... The food is good average.

We stopped by spontaneously for a lunch and were very impressed by the friendly staff and the food. The restaurant quickly filled up and when we came back later in the afternoon it was still packed. The menu is very extensive and you can find every level of spicyness. We enjoyed our visit very much and will come back.

Worst experience i had ever from a restaurant in Berlin . Chicken in Butter chicken tastes like 1 month old. And got a food infection too from other items.

Delicious Indian food is only possible here! Amrit is exactly the right place for this! Very tasty and reasonably priced too. The only drawback is that it is crowded, very narrow and very loud! Romantic dining is not possible here. Everything else is great! 👍

You don't have to write much here. The staff was very nice, the atmosphere was nice and fit. For me the food was very tasty and sufficient. And the prices are absolutely OK and if you think about the location of the restaurant you could almost think that it is too cheap. Thumbs up all round.

The staff is friendly and extremely attentive. Unusual meals + delicious drinks guarantee a pleasant stay and a special atmosphere. We'll be back.

We went for lunch on a weekday, and although it was busy, they quickly arranged a table for us. The food was delicious, with generous portions, and the service was impressively fast. Overall, a great experience!

Great food - it tasted much better than it looked in my picture (came in bowls). There were 9 of us and everyone was very satisfied. The staff was super friendly. The drinks were there after just 3 minutes and the food also came super quickly. The only negative, it was very loud.

Beautiful, but unfortunately too loud. We were a larger group and certainly contributed to the background noise, but conversation was only possible very loudly. The dishes were very tasty and served at the same time, the portions were great. The service was also super fast. I still don't know if I'll go again.

Had lunch as a larger group. Despite a group of 16 people, when using the lunch menus for this large group, the meal was completely served on the table within 10 minutes. Very professional and well organized and, most importantly, very tasty. Price/performance ratio is very good here. We'd love to come back!

We have been coming here once a year for 4 years, I was very disappointed this time. The menu had changed, there are no more soups. We didn't find the quality of the food to be as tasty as usual. It was very crowded and loud.

Was there with my company for the final dinner after the meeting. The drinks were brought super quickly, and the appetizers were delicious and varied. You didn't have to wait long for the main course either. As far as the food is concerned, 1a. The only drawback is that the toilets lack soap and the ability to dry your hands, so only 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Would definitely go again. Price performance ratio still ok!

Unfortunately, our visit to Amrit at Potsdamer Platz was not what we had hoped. Unfortunately, the restaurant seems to have lost its former charm. Unfortunately, it resembles a pure tourist bunker that feels like its concept is based on profit. We ordered a table online at 6 p.m.!!! In the age of the Internet and the organized ordering service, this is a total failure. With an outside temperature of 2 degrees and a light wind, we had to wait until 6:30 p.m. for free seats before we were brought to a table in the completely overcrowded restaurant. The extremely high noise level, with slightly muted electronic beats, reminded me of a party in a hall on warm summer days. This made the situation even more awkward as normal conversation was hardly possible. In addition, our table neighbors sat 50cm away from us. We could have tried some of the food you ordered. The portion sizes were disappointingly small for the price category, the drink prices were set too high and once again they gave the feeling that they were only acting for profit. Unfortunately, my meal was also disappointing. “King crab slightly spicy” The food was over-seasoned and not "slightly spicy" and unfortunately the crabs were also hard as an eraser. The The efforts of the mostly friendly staff to counteract the adversities in the restaurant made our visit disappointing. We will not visit the Amrit at Potsdamer Platz again.

Best service and food. Any time!

We were welcomed and seated very friendly. Many hands know their work and everyone did their part to ensure that we were served quickly and that we always made sure that nothing was missing. The food was very tasty. Only the toilets are a bit hidden, but an employee probably recognized where I wanted to go from my searching look. Highly recommended! It wasn't the first nor the last time we ate there.

Best Indian restaurant where I have visited :)

I am suprised by all the good reviews since I was disappointed of Amrit. I am used to eat indian, it is my favorite food, but I found it here tasteless. No spices, really liquid. Don’t come there if you want a quiet place. Moreover we were sitting just beside the entrance of the kitchen and waiters were running non stop with big plates closed to our faces. Our waiter was so unfriendly and rough, like if we were bothering. To still end on a positive thing, I really liked the batura which reminded me my indian grandpa’s food.

Food is disappointing with curries being more water than anything else. Naan bread looks extremely disappointing. Service of waiting staff though is commendable and so is the ambiance.

It is a pleasure to dine at such an establishment, where the cuisine is delectable and the staff is courteous and well-mannered.

The food was very tasty and the service team was very nice. The restaurant was very busy and we still got a table straight away. We both really enjoyed it and the portions were more than enough. The vegan and vegetarian selection is great. A special plus point: there is even a Pornstar Martini 😇

Unfortunately, my visit to Amrit at Potsdamer Platz was not what I had hoped. The restaurant seems to have lost its former charm and now looks like a purely tourist restaurant. The food came to the table lukewarm, and the bread we ordered was only brought after repeated reminders when we had almost finished eating. A drink wasn't served at all, which further spoiled the overall impression. The service staff tried to make everything possible, but they seemed visibly overwhelmed. The high noise level in the restaurant made the situation even more unpleasant, as normal conversation was hardly possible. The portion sizes were also disappointingly small and hardly gave the feeling of having enjoyed a complete meal. The prices were acceptable, but that alone cannot compensate for the shortcomings. Despite the staff's efforts, the visit was disappointing. I probably won't visit the Amrit at Potsdamer Platz again.

So let's start with the good... we got a table quickly and were generally served in a relaxed and friendly manner. The ambience is nice and very clean. Then the food came. I had the chicken thikka butter masala “dhesi style” which was recommended. The meat was far too soft, not seared at all and very limp, which almost made me afraid to eat it. Really not recommended. The seasoning wasn't balanced either and it wasn't nearly spicy enough because of the dhesi style. But Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi were good.

The ambience and service are good. We also got a table quickly. The food, however, was a disappointment. The rice tasted stale and the lamb khorma was just plain and although it should have been cooked spicier in the "dhesi style", it was simply bland and the food from my companion was only worse. The Butter Chicken Tikka Masala is meant to be a recommendation, can't recommend it to anyone. The chicken has a very bizarre consistency. I can recommend the mango lassi, it was very tasty. In general the food is not very authentic, far too adapted to the West.

Best shop, the food is delicious and the employees are extremely friendly and accommodating! We always eat here when we are in Berlin :)

We had easily reserved a table online in advance. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive despite the restaurant being relatively full, so we had to wait a while. The food was prepared very quickly and tasted good. The portions were reasonable.

There were five of us, everyone ordered something different and everything was very tasty. The space is very spacious and, in my opinion, they have put too many tables in this room. You sit far too close together with the other guests. But the service handled it well and was very friendly with a nice dose of humor and coped well with the cramped conditions. The restaurant was full of guests, which is a good rating in itself, but it was also very loud.

Chicken masala was not so delicious, but the butter was great with Naan

Perhaps I have been a little spoilt with all of the amazing Indian food in the UK, because I was unfortunately pretty disappointed with all of the food I tried at Amrit. I didn’t enjoy the food and felt like it was on-par with (or even worse than) some of the ready meals that I would get from a grocery store (in the UK). The salad was also not fresh and I picked most parts out because it looked like it had been sitting out for a little too long. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like this place! I don’t think I’ll come back :( On the other hand, I do think their lunch deal is decent value for the area, and makes a good work lunch. Customer service was fine as well.

Best indian food in Berlin, after trying few places this was the most delicious place we found, on top the staff is very professional and courteous specially Mr.Prasad took care of us and we really appreciate it.

Diverse selection, quick and friendly service - it tastes good! My visit today (2 months later) was totally disappointing. Tables are way too close together, it's incredibly loud, it's like a canteen atmosphere. So just don't go on the weekend. Not for a nice dinner - a shame. At least we won't get lost there again on the weekend.

Absolute recommendation! The Batura bread is a real treat and there is a large selection of vegan and vegetarian food. The service is very friendly and the ambience is unbeatable. The only thing I missed was the kind of “cracker” that you get in other Indian restaurants before the main course, but that's complaining at a high level.

Consistently good quality for years

We , a family of five over three generations, visited on the recommendation of the receptionist at our hotel. The restaurant was busy on the Sunday night we visited and we did not have a reservation but the manager found us a table and we were not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed the dishes, flavours were good and portions very generous. Service attentive and cost very reasonable a high quality meal. Would recommend.

As a school class we ordered all you can eat and paid €19 and after a few small bowls we didn't get any more meat or bread + we can't eat here, no, never

Attention, bad restaurant!!! We ate all you can eat, it tasted bad and we only got chickpea sauce with cold rice and paid €20 for it. Just bad! Don't go!!! Complete it's not even worth one star.

All you can eat is a joke, very bad food replenishment is refused after repeated questions. For me it's not even worth 1 star.

I would like to start my review with a quote that reads: "Outside great, inside bad." The ambience looks very nice, but the staff doesn't make a good impression at all. It's an experience restaurant and always more than well attended. So if you want to eat relaxed and in peace, you'll have to go somewhere else.

On the weekend shortly after 10 p.m. a table for 4 people was spontaneously occupied, very friendly and fast service. We didn't have too much time, the order was taken very quickly and we were able to enjoy the drinks and food quickly. The food was perfectly prepared and everyone was happy. Massive but Disappointing Indian Restaurant Amrit at Potsdamer Platz is one of the largest Indian restaurants I have seen in Berlin, but the sheer size means there is not much privacy. The decor is vibrant, with lots of Hindu gods and traditional elements. Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a letdown – the meat wasn’t fully cooked, though the drinks are reasonably priced (cocktails at 5,90€). Overall, while it is an okay spot, there are definitely better Indian restaurants in the city less pricy and more authentic
