AMRIT in Berlin

Tuvimos buena comida después de mucho tiempo en Alemania. Debo decir que el restaurante en sí era un observador ocular. Y para colmo el personal era extremadamente amable y la hospitalidad era fabulosa. Es bueno ver que a la gente le gusta Shashank y Amy todavía existe.

Busy Saturday night so booking is essential. A huge restaurant with plenty of space. The service was efficient and we received our drinks and starters very quickly. Unfortunately our main meals arrived before we had eaten our starters, “we serve quickly in here” was the reason given. Space on the table was thus at a premium, and I just feel the experience would be way better if everything was slowed down somewhat. We felt rushed which was a pity as the food was nice.

Mi segunda visita a Amrit desde 2022. Situado cerca de Potsdamer Platz y a la sombra de la Embajada de Canadá. Hay un montón de mesas tanto en el interior como en el exterior, casi sin necesidad de reserva al menos en primavera. La comida es bastante buena y las porciones son bastante grandes. Después de haber pedido los garbanzos, y el kofta vegetariano me había dado cuenta de que estaban usando la misma base de salsa. El servicio fue profesional y bastante rápido. Una comida decente en todos los aspectos, pero sin factor sorpresa. No puedes equivocarte comiendo aquí, pero tengo la sensación de que fue diseñado pensando en los turistas. La relación calidad-precio no es mala.

La comida estaba bien. Mi impresión es que está prefabricado y luego recalentado. Ciertamente mi curry estaba tibio. Los panes naan también gotean con aceite / mantequilla derretida. Las salsas son bastante acuosas. Realmente no me gustó, pero mis hijos pensaron que estaba bien.

Wir möchten Dank von ganzem Herzen sagen für soviel Liebe und Harmonie für alle Bereiche im AMRIT. Das ist gehobene Gastronomie bis ins kleinste Detail. Wir fühlen uns seit nunmehr fast zehn Jahren, als Teil der Familie Bans. Jeder Neuling, der zum ersten Mal mit uns hier speist, ist vom Flair und der Herzlichkeit begeistert. Ein Genuss für Gaumen und die Seele. Dank an das gesamte Team, vor allem aber ganz viel Gesundheit. Bleibt Euerer Tradition treu und noch viele gemeinsame Jahre mit Euch wünschen Familie Thi Tu, Nhat Anh und Rüdiger Dang Natowicz

We highly recommend it. The food is very good and the price-performance ratio is good. Everyone is very friendly and hospitable. Please don't try it spontaneously; always call ahead. The only minor drawback is the noise level.

I think it makes sense to eat during peak lunch and dinner times. I spontaneously dropped in at 4:30 p.m. and got a lukewarm main course and initially rather cold rice. I returned the rice, and the replacement was lukewarm at best. I then replaced it – completely – with the garlic naan I ordered. I would give the restaurant another chance – hoping that at least the microwave works this time 😁😞😁

We've been here a couple of times. Unfortunately, we didn't like it this time; the waiters were too pushy and pretentious. The worst of it was: we had barely paid when we were asked to leave because they needed our table. I hadn't even finished my drink yet, and we still had 15 minutes to spare since we had reserved a time slot. It's a shame; we won't be coming back, even though the food was delicious, as always.

Amrit is as lively as Potsdamer Platz itself. There are waitresses everywhere, there is a lot of coming and going and your wishes are noticed just before you say them. Good food, very quick, careful waiters and a good atmosphere. Due to its popularity and the many customers, there is a slightly higher level of noise that you have to get used to. But even in the toilets you are looked after in a friendly manner. Great tip!

Hello, I haven't been to this branch yet, but I like the chain for its wide selection of food at an acceptable price, served by friendly people. Lunch prices are around one euro below the evening menu prices

There was actually no soup left on the menu, but I still got the fantastic chicken soup.

The restaurant is really large, making it the perfect choice for a group. We made a reservation for 10 people and were greeted very warmly. The service was very attentive, polite, and fast. Sometimes, waiters overtook each other, which led to three waiters at the same time in our corner. The food tasted good and was as ordered. They also checked whether we were ordering too little or too much for a group of 10 people. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I recently visited this amazing restaurant, and as always, the food was incredibly tasty. Every dish was full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked. the service was incredibly fast and efficient. Our food arrived in no time, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The only minor drawback was the lack of fresh air in the dining area, which made the atmosphere feel a bit stuffy. Nonetheless, the delicious food and speedy service more than made up for it. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!

A very good restaurant, menu clear, lots of choice, friendly service and, above all, very hard working. It is a bit loud, but that hardly detracts from the rating. The food is really good, portions are very fair, you just can't complain about the price. Would always come back when I'm in Berlin.

I had a really wonderful visit to this restaurant! The food was simply exceptional - every dish was perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty. We loved it so much that we ordered the same dish again because it was simply exquisite. We were also totally impressed by the cocktails: super tasty, at an unbeatable price and a real highlight of the evening. The friendly and courteous nature of the entire staff made the evening even more pleasant. You can immediately tell that great value is placed on service and a warm atmosphere here. Overall, it was an all-round great experience that I can only recommend to every foodie and cocktail lover. I'm really looking forward to my next visit - especially when I'm back in Berlin

The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful

If you are just coming for the food, look elsewhere as the food is simply German version of Indian food - lacking flavors, full of food colors, not fresh and of course overpriced. Ambience is good and staff is pleasant.

The first server was rude and unhelpful... but I truely appreciate that the other one noticed and took over and then the experience was brill... poor customer service attitude by one person can spoil the evening though... the food is good and the ambiance is amazing

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere. We went without reservation on a Wednesday; there were quite a few tables occupied, but we managed to get a table without any problem.

Wir hatten uns gestern anlässlich eines kurzen Berlinbesuches für ein Abendessen im AMRIT am Potsdamer Platz entschieden. Unsere kleine Familie hat die sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, das freundliche Personal und das wirklich leckere Essen restlos überzeugt. Wir können das AMRIT unbedingt und ohne Vorbehalte weiter empfehlen!

A very touristy place but still delicious.

Very large, well-equipped restaurant in a central location. Very attentive and friendly service. Menu is very varied. There were 8 of us and the dishes were all served at the same time, which is not always the case in most restaurants. Absolutely recommended, as the price is right as well as the quality!

surprisingly good! Delicious food, pretty authentic (tastes Indian enough #smile) and very, very attentive service! Practically in the middle of Potzdamer Platz. I went there for lunch, pretty cheap too! Until next time again. Kind regards from Hamburg :-)

Mi esposa y yo visitamos este increíble restaurante indio mientras estaba en Berlín para una breve escapada a la ciudad. La comida es deliciosa, el personal es amable y hay un ambiente brillante en el restaurante también. Compartimos un entrante que era pequeño pero sabroso y los platos principales eran enormes y tan agradables como hemos tenido en cualquier restaurante indio que hemos estado (y hemos estado en muchos! ) El restaurante estaba lleno de lugareños, que siempre es una buena señal y sin duda volveríamos en nuestra próxima visita a Berlín. No podríamos recomendarlo lo suficiente - 5 🌟👍

As an Indian,I can say all dishes are made according to german people’s tatse.Nothing authentic.gravies are mostly tomato puree based with lot of turmeric. And when i ordered chicken 65 they gave boiled chicken pieces topped with red colour masala(gravy).Disgusting

Trotz der unglaublichen Größe dieses Lokals wurden wir als Gruppe sehr schnell und zuvorkommend bedient. Für die Gruppe war gemeinsames Essen bestellt. Dieses kam in vielen Schüsseln auf denTisch - so konnte sich jeder nehmen, was er wollte. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Im vollbesetzten Lokal war allerdings ein hoher Lärmpegel.

Visited last month with my team (8 people, mix of vegetarians and non-vegetarians). The experience was just okay. • Snacks were not warm enough. • Garlic naan lacked garlic flavor. • Malai koftas were too big and unappealing in taste. • Paneer butter masala was overly sweet, which I didn’t enjoy. • Lamb curry had a strong smell, as mentioned by my teammates. • The only dish I liked was the Malabari paneer—it had a nice spicy flavor. Overall, the food was disappointing.

Only had appetizers but they were amazing. The flavours the freshness absolutely beautiful. Also the cocktails are great.

Super great Indian restaurant with excellent food. The ambience is fantastic. The entire concept is absolutely coherent. Very courteous and friendly service. Every wish was fulfilled. The price-performance ratio is absolutely top. Great location, right on Potsdamer Platz. Parking spaces are a matter of luck or you can use one of the surrounding parking garages or take public transport. Perfect connection to local transport. For us it's the best Indian restaurant in all of Berlin and we'll definitely come back more often now. Thank you very much for the great service and the excellent food.

Tight reservation. My booking time was from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. However, the staff began pressuring us to leave the table at around 7:10 p.m. - and did so repeatedly, even though I said we would be ready in 10 minutes. Outrageous!

butter chicken was not the original recipe and also we got the leftovers for takeout and the sauce got watery.

We had Butter Chicken with Rice here. I must admit that the food was average and not that great. The curry consistency was bad and spices added were different than what should have been in butter chicken curry. The food is good as per European standards/assumptions about Indian cuisine but Indians might be disappointed. :( Nice environment and service though.

When we arrived we were surprised by the beautiful traditional atmosphere. The food was really a 10/10 and the waiting time was absolutely acceptable!! The staff was very nice and so generous that they added extra rice when packing up the leftovers. We were also offered espresso on the house at the end... Simply wow! I can only recommend this store. This was the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to❤️

We were really surprised. For us as Berliners, it's actually a place that is mostly frequented by tourists, but we decided to go for it anyway. It was very very crowded at 6:30 p.m. Thank God we had reserved a table in advance. Afterwards we went to the theater at Potsdamer Platz. The service was extremely quick and friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We'll be back.

Very good food, authentically seasoned if desired. However, for me, slightly spicy was already “fairly spicy”. Attentive service. Tables a little too close together and a little too loud for my taste.

Mediocre food, fast but impersonal service

Four of us were there spontaneously on Sunday evening and managed to get a spot. Service was super friendly, the food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. The lamb was nice and tender in a great spicy sauce. The naan bread was also delicious. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. As some have already written, it is a bit loud. But when it comes to the food and service, you're happy to accept that.

A diverse selection of Indian dishes is offered (including vegan and vegetarian). The dishes are solid in taste and generous in portions. The curries in particular are well seasoned and authentic. Unfortunately, the service mars the overall experience. Although there is a lot of staff, the level of attention leaves something to be desired. Empty jars often go unnoticed and it takes a while for orders or inquiries to be processed. We stayed for several hours, each time having to get up or otherwise draw attention to ourselves so we could order new drinks. It is relatively loud at peak times. Overall, a restaurant with potential that could significantly improve in quality with more attentive service.

Very nice atmosphere, very tasty food and the cocktails were also ok. We paid €50.10 for two people (1 starter, 2 main courses, 2 cocktails, 1 mango lassi and 1 water). I think it's very cheap and still really great. Would recommend to anyone who likes Indian food. At the end there were two espressos on the house.

Solid selection of Indian dishes. The quality of the food was OK, but nothing that really stood out. The portions are generous and the ambience is pleasant but somewhat unexciting. The service was friendly but there was a bit of a wait. Overall, a good choice if you're craving Indian cuisine, but there's certainly room for improvement.

There are several Amrits in Berlin. Since I had already been to other branches, I trusted them and visited this place as well. The smell of spices wasn't too strong, so even my child enjoyed it. Mangorashi is always delicious. Business lunches are served until 3 p.m. on weekdays, so you can eat at a low price.

My first experience was so gut.....good food and all

I tried this restaurant despite having some doubts and it was a great discovery. The place is nice and really big. The guys at the service are super nice and friendly. They also have a section of only veg dishes, well done! The menu in general is not extensive but it satisfies everyone. The vegan chicken dish was excellent, as was the lentil daal. The flavors are good although not super hot or spicy to please everyone. The portions are valid and together with the chosen dish they also offer a rice dish and a salad. Super competitive price!!!

The restaurant is very large, so we never had to wait even without a reservation and were always seated. The waiters are very nice and the food comes quickly (often faster than the drinks). I've always been happy with all the dishes I've had.

SENSATIONAL. Second time in Berlin and had to visit here again for dinner as left a lasting impression on us. Food is to die for. Very attentive staff and friendly. A must visit when in Berlin!!

Quick meal at midday, it's good but noisy.

Fast, fresh, tasty. An easy lunch or dinner option in Potsdamer Platz. A well oiled battle ship as this place is massive but modern. Service is v friendly and welcoming. I had the Madras chicken that’s supposed to be hot but in reality it’s savory but quite mild for my taste. If you like authentic spicy food, I’d suggest going for the “Indian hot” offered on the menu. The lentil papadums were good though the sauces were, sadly, kinda bland and too sweet for my taste, I’d preferred chutneys or less Westernized flavours. Overall a convenient spot if you’re in the area looking for something easy and affordable. They are able to cater for larger groups.
