Zaddy's by Kaplan in Berlin

I had a Dürüm, which was okay. Nothing outstanding, but very solid. I enjoyed it, and the portion was filling. The shop is generally clean and tidy. If you're passing through and hungry, you can definitely treat yourself here and you won't go wrong!

Unfortunately, last Friday I decided to have a kebab at your place. Basically I have to say that the service wasn't bad, but the kebab was really disgusting! The kebab consisted exclusively of herb sauce, which is why the bread was soggy at the bottom and the meat wasn't of any particular quality.

I haven't eaten such a good kebab for a long time.

The vegan Dürüm couldn't be put down, and the normal kebab wasn't that great either. The service was quick. I still wouldn't recommend it.

I wonder how the kebab shop got this rating. Bread was ok and crispy, meat was more like minced meat and the sauce was basically just mayo with a little garlic.

Wow ! What an incredible kebab one of the freshest tastiest kebabs I've had around the world. All of the guys I went with all said the same. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Berlin.

We wanted to have döner kebab for lunch, but did not where to go in Berlin. Then all of a sudden we saw a salad-carriage crossing the street and we decided to follow them. We ended up at Zaddy's and it was delicious. What a great coincidence.

the staff were unfriendly, inattentive It took forever to get served, No smiles, I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. I duly joined the queue and waited my turn. Nevertheless, the employee ignored me and accused me of pushing ahead. He treated me in a very disrespectful and rude manner. Such behavior is unacceptable and disappointing. I didn't feel welcome at all as a guest. Unfortunately I don't recommend it.

The bread is baked in something like a waffle maker, and it's really crispy and delicious👍 There are plenty of vegetables and meat. It's so delicious that I want to go to Berlin again to eat this.

So, I don't recommend anyone eat at a kebab shop, because my friend and I bought two kebabs to go. That was half an hour ago. The reason I'm writing about this is because there was so little meat in the kebab, and I ordered my kebab with tomato and iceberg lettuce. I had two small tomato slices in my kebab and they were just packed with iceberg lettuce, so my kebab looked big. In the end, everyone should know for themselves how a kebab feels, and if someone says something about the rent being too high, they should close their shop instead of ripping people off with little food and selling it at a high price. I'll give it 30 percent for the taste!

As soon as the employees found out that I didn't speak German and wanted to take a look at the menu (I don't know exactly what the reason is) they seemed unfriendly and quite impatient. The food was also really quite bad with too much sauce and the ingredients not in good proportion. Overall not a good experience. It wasn't super expensive.

I tried Falafal (itself not good) drum and it was not good at all. Salad doesn’t even had cucumber, carrot , sweetcorn. Service is okayish & Only place has good ambience.

The staff is unfriendly when the manager isn't there. There was no ayran or fries when I was there. The doner kebab was okay, but not worth the hype.

A solid kebab, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype. The bread is well toasted and the meat impresses with its spicy taste. However, the typical, mayonnaise-based Berlin sauces didn't inspire me. The garlic sauce was particularly disappointing - it consists mainly of mayonnaise into which frozen garlic was incorporated using a hand blender.

I liked eating it, I think you should go too.

Great service but very average food

First of all: *The owner of the restaurant has already tried to have this review removed twice - without success - it is true, authentic and remains!* I don't know how everyone takes these photos of the big, delicious kebabs, but at Zaddy's I only got a measly little kebab. Maybe an oversight? Regarding your comment: Thank you for your response to my review. It is very pleasing to read that product quality and guest satisfaction are important to you. Unfortunately, sometimes efforts and reality are far apart. Personally, I just hope that the size of the Zaddy kebab isn't a standard here. Afterwards I had to go to McDonalds for a burger because I was more hungry than before. As a starter, the kebab at Zaddy's would be way too expensive for me.

Both the bread and the doner kebab were bad. It was tasteless, saltless, like a rotary eraser, and had no meat taste. The flavor gap is filled with the sauce and salad added inside. The bread was like rubber. It was inferior to the other doner kebabs we tried. If you have a taste for doner, it's a complete disappointment.

Thank you, everything was delicious. It also proves that it is a quality restaurant with its service and friendly face. We plan to come again next year. The meals are also very satisfying, by the way.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The kebab man was almost asleep. Had a durum. Bread was already broken. Salad wasn't tasty. Meat and sauce was delicious. But it's not worth it because my dürüm was only 15cm tall.

No chicken meat only beef meat and cheese or falafel, the cooker doesn’t speak english even the menu is translated in english. Too bad, I doesn’t recommand this place

I thought I'd try the kebab when I'm in Berlin. It doesn't taste any different than other good kebabs, but there are long waiting times and a bit expensive. Unfortunately, bread tore while eating.

I've never reviewed a shop before, the kebab just fell apart, the meat was never as bad as the sausage, the first time it was really tasty and the crispy meat I'll never stop by again, seriously no respect for the food!!!

Ordered the kebab box, the meat is extremely dry and there is so little sauce that I was convinced for the first 10 minutes that the sauce had been forgotten. Expected something better for €8

So for €7 I can get much larger portions in Cologne. The salad was fresh and the bread was crispy. The store is a tiny niche in the building. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but you would probably be better off with a little more friendliness. We can't feel the hype from Instagram here. The money certainly wasn't wasted, but we won't be coming back here. But eating is subjective anyway.

Döner was smaller as compared to normal Döner. U can expect Kinder Döner for 7€ . Customer service was really weak.

Despite it being only 8 PM with no customers behind us, the staff member taking our order was extremely rude, making us feel unwelcome. When we simply asked for clarification about the menu, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. As for the kebab, it was very average—the meat lacked flavor, with the taste relying almost entirely on the sauces. Given the overrated reviews, this place is not worth visiting, especially if you don't speak German or Turkish, as the service was unaccommodating. Would not recommend.

Very tasty kebab! Fresh meat, well fatty, lots of flavor.. fresh, crispy salads.. very aromatic sauces. The gentlemen inside, very nice and polite.. Probably one of the best in the area 😃

1. No kebab: The kebab tastes like meatballs because the minced meat content is crazy high. You can no longer legally call it a kebab safe. 2. Over-salting: The kebab is crazy salty, I couldn't finish it because I ordered extra meat. 3. Lack of tradition: The business is pretty hard Germanized. They offer whole grain kebab bread, which looks nothing like kebab. Also, they simply call the Dürum “Wrap”. 4. Sauce selection: Although there are many sauces, you can only choose 2 sauces. I have often experienced kebab shops that slapped 3-4 sauces on me, which this shop doesn't do. I went because the reviews were so good (4.8/5). This shop is NOT recommended for anyone who has experience with kebab.

It was very good. We ate almost multiple meals a day. We shared our toksak and ate :) their ayran was also very nice.

I was there at the staff had someone in front of me talking in their language the whole time and never said hello to me and in the end I wanted to ask after 5 minutes. What is going on and was very unpleasant to me. It's a shame ☹️

The world's best kebab, but unfortunately in the wrong location

They have two options: meat and chicken. I preferred the meat one. You choose the sauces and ingredients according to demand. I liked it, it was full and tasted good. Only the place is very narrow, like Taksim buffets. Since it is a grab-and-go concept, friends couldn't keep up with the cleaning, unfortunately the tables etc. were left dirty.

Doner kebab smells somehow like egg, maybe it's the herb sauce, probably poor quality mayo. Bread falls apart so you're constantly making messes. Discarded after biting off twice. Too bad.

You can't go to Berlin without eating Berlin doner. Its name is doner, but of course it doesn't look like normal Turkish doner. It is made from minced meat and has a different flavor with lots of sauce. We had to wait in a short queue. We paid a price of 7 Euros for 1 doner.

Very good kebab, everything is fresh and clean, the bun is nice and crispy, you can also choose whole grain. The sauces are great. We didn't have to wait and the staff was super friendly. Definitely recommended.

Worst kebab shop I've ever been to, employees were scheduled and the kebab tasted very bad. Fries were forgotten and I had to wait 10 minutes for new ones. If I hadn't said anything, she would have let me go without fries and a drink.

Waited 25 mins for a mediocre halloumi kebab. Needed more salad and sauces.

Had a Döner box from there today. I ordered extra pommes for 1 euro and asked for a mixture of chicken and meat. They forgot the extra pommes and the chicken. When I initially asked about the extra pommes, the staff member told me it was "buried" under the Döner box, but I couldn't find the extra pommes in the box at all. I wouldn't say it's an utter flop, but the service is terrible. Plus, there's no place to sit.

We ate 2x döner in a dark roll for 7eur December 2024. I took the spicy sauce and I liked it, my wife had the garlic sauce and unfortunately she had stomach problems... you know, accidents happen to the best of us, that's why only 4 stars.

I chose this place based on the reviews but it was not what I expected so basically it's a very small stall it is a takeaway there is no place to sit. the menu is very limited but you have options for the bread and only one option with Döner and others are vegan. In my opinion the Döner Kebab was too salty and contained a small portion of the meat

It was okay but not very differentiated in taste. very monotonous (meat, sauce and spices) and therefore not worth the money. Most of the people who come here to buy are young people and nightlife people. After all, social media has also promoted it, so it can be considered an internet celebrity store.
