YUMIRA Korean BBQ in München

I spontaneously wanted to go out for a little something to eat in the evening and came here for dinner with a good friend of mine. The service was extremely good. The prices were - in keeping with Munich standards - not cheap but ok in relation to the cuisine. In addition to the seafood, I also threw in Wagyu and was satisfied with the meat. There are enough parking spaces on Boschetsriederstrasse. Card payment - also with Amex - possible.

We were eating there for eight people and ordered a total of eight portions and actually only six came out. It was only after we asked that they informed us that we still had two dishes. We also ordered a bit more, we can't even return two closed bottles with the approach of yes we have to sell it on but we can't return it and that was taken off the bill.

The three of us had the mixed record. When you first look at the menu, the dishes are a little higher priced, but what is served is absolutely appropriate for the price and worth the money. In my eyes, everything seemed authentically Korean. The background music plays according to the K-Pop theme, the volume is just right, you can listen to the music but also have a conversation without any problems. At the beginning the waitress explains how the barbecue works. However, it seemed a bit rushed to me, so a point was deducted, but otherwise very nice service. I was helped easily when I forgot my backpack in the restaurant. Since we came from further away, it was sent in a package within a week, great! You can certainly spend a social evening here, for example as a company party, but Korean barbecue is not suitable for vegetarians. In any case, we had a successful evening and I can well imagine coming back when we go to Munich again.

Super great evening, everything was well explained. The quality of the meat and side dishes is simply top! Drinks are also highly recommended.

I've been here several times, the food is highly recommended, the meat is of great quality and was very good every time. Unfortunately, the service is not very attentive and the bartenders were often on their cell phones and not dressed decently. I hope this will improve in the future!

We come several times a year and the quality has been incredibly good since the beginning. Price performance is unbeatable. We are big meat/Koren BBQ fans and have tried several shops in other countries but we like it best here! Keep it up :)

Everything is great, even though I don't like vegetables, so I can't eat everything

Disaster, how can you only rate it positively, completely overpriced, mega bad food (seafood & gourmet menu), super bad service and then also a stinky smell from the ventilation system. Let's start again, the ambience is horrible, the smell of burnt food comes from the ventilation system over the entire interior from the kitchen. On Friday the starters and parts of the main menu were already out, what kind of planning is that? The service only came after 15 minutes to order the drinks and couldn't explain the dishes in either German or English. The menus (from €44 per person) are supposed to come with side dishes, a joke, a little rice, three sauces, three sliced ​​carrots and a few outdated lettuce leaves, who can only rate that positively?? The seafood menu was simply subpar, the shrimp tasted sandy, the calamari wasn't gutted properly (disgusting!). The gourmet menu (56€pp!!) two/three small pieces of meat, that’s it, a joke. You had to constantly wave the waitress over for an order, and at the end it was out of place to sit in peace, you wanted to finish your drink as the table and grill were being cleaned. Never again!

It was very tasty, we are very satisfied

I received the meal I ordered at 18:15 at 19:30. The meat grill doesn't produce any smoke, so it's great because foreigners can easily enjoy Korean food. They even shamelessly ask customers sitting in their seats to stop because there are a lot of customers coming in.

So I can't confirm the good reviews at all. The food is average, but completely overpriced and far too little (we went home hungry). In addition, you smell so strong and unpleasant afterwards that you have to take a shower and wash your clothes immediately. We're not going there anymore!

What was that! We found this restaurant by chance on our spontaneous trip to Munich. It was not far from our hotel. I have no words that can describe this experience at this restaurant. The food was great, the service was hard to beat, I would give this 10 points if I could. I have never experienced such a friendly team in a restaurant. This is more than standard. The cocktails are worth a sin, very, very tasty. If I'm back in Munich, this restaurant will be my first choice. Bravo to the entire team, you make a visit to the restaurant an experience.

We had a great evening at YUMIRA. We received a warm welcome and our waitress Janet was very accommodating throughout the evening and made us feel very comfortable. The food is excellent, and even though it is priced a little higher, it is more than adequate for the Korean BBQ experience and excellent flavors. We both had the Mix Game, which you can order for groups of two or more, and we were more than full. We would love to come back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Definitely fun and also filling. There is plenty of meat and thanks to the principle, which is not so dissimilar to fondue, time goes by quickly while you sizzle your courses. The menu also has plenty for those with less of a desire for meat.

Meat is nowhere near the quality it should be for the prices they charge.

It's really ambiguous. The kimchi stew and the side dish, pork neck, were very delicious, but some of the pork had a foul smell, and an unidentifiable soup was being sold under the name Yukgaejang. This is my first time seeing yukgaejang with mussels and shrimp. However, the atmosphere of the store where K-Pop was played was lively, and what I would like to praise more than anything was the friendly and polite service of the employees. I especially remember a handsome Turkish young man, who seemed like a very well-educated Korean young man. On the first day, I had the kimchi stew and pork set, but the pork neck, pork belly, kimchi stew, and side dishes were so good that I came back the next day because I wanted to try other menu items, but I quickly regretted it. I should just eat kimchi stew and japchae.. If you choose the menu well, office workers who are tired from a long business trip can be healed with Korean food.

Every once in a while I come across an outstanding restaurant, and this should be on your list in Munich, Germany. Paul, our waiter, was very gracious helping us navigate the German menu. The sides they brought with our order were a delightful treat. The seafood soup is delicious. Highly recommended!

It’s probably the best Korean food I had tried since I came to Germany 5 years ago. The food was authentic and prices readable. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Wow, the best Korean bbq I've eaten in Germany. The Vietnamese waiter was very nice and accommodating. The prices are also very reasonable, especially for the portion. It looks a bit small, but it's much more than you think. Highly recommended

There were four of us and we had the grill menu. The food was very tasty, especially the meat selection. Although we used the table grill inside in the summer, it was warm but never too hot. Highly recommended in Munich!

First time visiting and the service and food were amazing. We ordered BBQ and Seafood and the table was full of side dishes and so many different things to try. We particularly loved the service staff. John and Paul were so helpful and friendly with the grill and making sure we had everything we needed. I recommend trying the creme brulee at the end. It was perfectly burned on top so it was crispy and warm. It really made our weekend special and we'll definitely back.

We were served by Stanlee Stanlee, and service was wonderful. All the recommendations were top and we had a great evening with fantastic food and plenty of great drinks from the barman.

Great food and the service was great! Price-performance fits. We can definitely recommend it - if you want to use the table grill, you have to be at least 2 people.

Way too expensive for grilled food. I think a 4% price increase for a "large group" is a rip-off... and I found the 10% tip that is (almost) automatically requested with the bill not only irritating, but this process in particular means that I don't recommend this restaurant will visit more.

Tasty kimchi but the rest of the side dish is not authentic at all and missing the standard dishes such as Dongchimi, Oimuchim, Sigeumchi Namul etc. Not even rice (that needs to be ordered extra. Instead you get viet rice noodles instead.

Worth to visit for a taste of Korean barbecue experience! Nice atmosphere (although too hot while using the grill) and polite staff.

Delicious meat but absolutely impossible behavior from a waiter. Table was reserved for 8:30 p.m., after 10 minutes someone finally took pity on clearing the two plates. The food was brought quickly, then we were ignored for the rest of the evening. We actually wanted to order dessert, but we sat around for almost 25 minutes. The restaurant was already half empty. Our waiter didn't want to bring the bill either and then started cleaning up the next table. At the bar we were then asked if we wanted to pay the tip in cash. First of all, I find the question about tips extremely outrageous. Then the waiter had the nerve to ask why we didn't want to tip and that the waiting time wouldn't be that bad. I've never experienced anything like that. I won't come here again. When I read the other comments, the tipping thing seems to be normal here. By the way, you charge €4 for 2 extra bowls of rice. I've never experienced that at any Korean BBQ either.

Enjoyed Korean Yakiniku in Munich The portions are plentiful, so we recommend ordering a little at a time. The air conditioner inside the restaurant isn't very strong, so you'll sweat while sitting at the grill table. I think winter would have been better.

So disappointed with the service from the staff and chef here. Despite warnings, the staff brought out missing items. We ordered 3 portions of seafood but the staff only gave us 2 portions and confirmed that it was 3 portions. Food prices are quite high compared to the market. The staff asked for a tip and everyone noticed because the staff charged themselves 10% of the tip. We'll never come back

The meat was very good, everything else was rather boring and bland. Sauces (except a kind of ketchup) were missing, but maybe that's unusual in Korean cuisine? Some of the menus were smeared with old leftover food. Disgusting. Otherwise, the ambience was superficially nice, but the tables were far too small and the overall impression was greasy, almost unclean. My water glass still had some red residue on the edge of the glass. The service was quite harsh, annoyed and gave explanations about the food at breakneck speed. Gave the feeling that you were “going to the basement to laugh”. Overall okay, but too expensive and wouldn't go there again.

I wanted to eat bibim naengmyeon, so I searched on the Internet and found a variety of naengmyeon on the menu on Yu Mira's website, so I visited it. However, the cold noodle type was missing from the store menu. The employee said that because the website is old, the menu may be a little different from the current one, and that cold noodles are not available. ㅠㅜ Feeling disappointed, I ordered the yukgaejang, but I wasn't sure if it was yukgaejang or jjamppong, but it was a mixed stew with beef, all kinds of seafood, and vegetables that can't be found in traditional yukgaejang. In Korea, yukgaejang usually contains only beef and vegetables such as bracken, bean sprouts, and sweet potato stalks. Maybe it was my fault for thinking it was a Korean restaurant, but there wasn't a single Korean employee. When I found out that it was a Korean restaurant run by a Vietnamese, I was disappointed by the imitation Korean food. The side dishes were just edible. The tofu dish my husband ordered was delicious. But the menu was a style I had never tried before in Korea, namely a German-Asian tofu dish. Korean food has its own unique originality and taste, and through my experience here, I was worried that local people and foreigners would mistakenly perceive Korean food as similar to Vietnamese food and other Asian foods. My German husband also said that this is not Korean food, and that he thinks German people will perceive Korean food as similar to other Asian food. I have no intention of returning.

Super friendly staff Quality of the food excellent

Food OK but poor quality for the price. Scallops tasted like nothing. Meat also bland and tasteless. Visually everything is great. But two people paid 200 euros and then such quality. No thanks. In the future, we will boycott “restaurants” that believe they have to charge such prices however and wherever we can.

The ambience promises a lot but is unfortunately very disappointing. I pointed out my allergy before ordering. According to the waiter's statement, only 2 dishes at the BBQ were affected. So I ordered. After bringing it turned out there was soy in everyone and I could eat dry rice and meat. The portions were also very small and there were only 3 of everything for 4 people! Everyone was hungry afterwards! And we went out to eat. Once and never again.

A grill-by-yourself Korean BBQ place. You pay for what you get. Would recommend the pork over beef. The two person set which comes with 5/6 banchans are plenty portion wise. In Munich this is a solid place if you are craving kbbq and don't want to prepare your own

Food was (as always) very tasty. The meat was fresh and all the side dishes tasted very good. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow and we had to wait quite a long time for the drinks. But I'll be back because Korean BBQ is always an experience

The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. I've been to other Korean BBQ's. This was nicely decorated. Unfortunately you can't eat and grill outside. Grilling is only possible inside. If you want to test the Korean grill, you have to take a plate. This was far too much for the two of us. Very good enough for good meat eaters.

One of the best Korean restaurants in Munich. They have the best haemul pajeon as well as meat quality for bbq in my opinion. If you are looking for a nice authentic Korean meal in a cosy atmosphere I would highly recommend it

Everything great! The food is very good, everything is fresh! The service staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The price is high, but absolutely understandable for this quality of fresh goods!!!!! Finally, treat yourself to a crème brûlée, it's amazing!

update: the issue with tip was fully resolved. The food experience is great, however they included 10% tip in the bill without mentioning it or giving you a printed bill. At least I see why the waitress got suprised receiving additional 10 % tip, but didn't mention that the tip was already included... Frustrating, since the food was quite good.

The food was simply to die for! There were 4 of us there and we ordered 2x meat and 2x vegetarian. It really didn't take anything more. Definitely worth a recommendation and above all you can really celebrate the food. Top top

I really love this place. Their food is always super tasty. I remember the very first time I was there. It was also my very first experience with Korean food - I was crying and eating, eating and crying (my octopus was very spicy but so delicious that I just couldn’t stop eating). I couldn’t feel my tongue for some time after, but it was totally worth it. And the service is always great. The last time we’ve met Pavel and he was super friendly and helpful.

We were invited for a birthday and it was a really great experience. We all ordered different menus (menu only for 2 people) so everyone can eat everything. In the middle of the table there is a grill where meat or fish etc. can be placed on it. There's something going on with 6 people. But a great experience.

I let immediately after nobody attended and I only managed to stand to the disgusting stench.
