YUMIRA Korean BBQ in München

As a Korean, I honestly can't recommend it to Koreans. None of the staff are Korean, and as always in foreign countries, it's a mashup of Asian culture. The food seems to have tried to replicate Korean cuisine in detail, but honestly, it's disappointing for Korean palates. Even the sesame oil... you can tell it's German sesame oil. Why did they serve pineapple as a side dish? The bean sprout salad was undercooked bean sprout salad. The meat quality was better than I expected (my expectations were low, it's just because it's a foreign restaurant). And the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to get the meat. The meat was already sliced, so why does it take so long to serve it? And since I was sitting in the farthest corner of the restaurant, there was no smoke absorber, so it was incredibly, incredibly hot. Shouldn't they have installed a smoke absorber for this much money? If a Korean comes here expecting Korean food, they won't be very satisfied! But I still had a full meal. As a Korean, I don't prove the quality of the food. It's not the original flavor, unfortunately. Maybe i should be happy about just that they have this grill thing in Germany at least. This Restaurant is running by non korean people and it's recognizable. I'm sorry for being critical. But have fun!

Absolutely perfect. The meat quality is unbelievable – you won't find such excellent Wagyu beef for such a good price anywhere else in Munich! The quality of the side dishes is also top-notch! If you love good food, this is the place to be. Add to that fantastic cocktails, a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, and impeccable service! We were there with our children (6 and 8) and had a wonderful evening – but it's also perfect for a date. Michelin-star quality, but without the pretension. A true taste of Korea!

"Upon presentation of this email, you and your guest will receive 5 Wagyu beef pieces as a token of our appreciation for 6 years of shared grilling experiences." At the restaurant, it turns out that you get 60g of Wagyu beef per person per meal. When I complained that I felt cheated by this kind of (cheap) thank-you, he said that the manager was responsible. I replied that with bad service, customers stay away, which was obvious because the restaurant was almost empty compared to before, and that the pocha was much better now. At that point, he became rude and said he wouldn't serve us anymore. We then said our goodbyes, never to return. We hadn't been there for a while anyway because the restaurant had been declining in quality (taste) and service. OpenTable then informed us that we had been reported as a "no-show." So Yumira has already sunk to a criminal level, since such a report harms the customer, as OpenTable can exclude them from their service. Yumira's "appreciation" for its regular customers can only be described as appalling!

Everything was perfect, the staff was first-class (10 out of 10 points), the food was very good, I highly recommend it.

Beautifully decorated. Friendly staff and an exceptionally delicious kimchi soup. Generous side dishes served with the excellent meat and seafood. A perfect hangover breakfast after the festivities. I'd love to come back for dinner next time.

We eat at Yumira every year, coming all the way from Austria (for concerts) 😂 The food is always a dream, I can only recommend it!

Average restaurant, extremely high prices. Poor quality ingredients, small quantities. Meat not marinated and seafood tasteless, apparently frozen. I absolutely do not recommend it. For 50 euros there are much better restaurants. Very poor value for money.

great food, the quality of the meat (us black angus, secreto pork) was great, our server was the sweetest lady who asked if me and my mom were siblings (won my mom over, obviously). The side dishes are free (you can ask for more with no costs) and so yum (the fish was my favourite) but they seemingly change every week so i might have to come again 🤷🏽‍♀️ there are some entrees and dessert but a menu is really good portioned with the sides + rice (also included in the price) so i wouldn't order anything beyond the menu if you're not absolutely starving- we shared the chicken dumplings and were still able to breathe in the end so everything is possible ✋🏽) I also forgot my phone there and they called my mom (who had made the reservation) literally 5min after we left the restaurant, super attentive and so caring, our server really was the sweetest- the communication/ atmosphere between servers was also really friendly so that was nice aswell. everything was very well explained in the beginning and through the whole evening, great experience, can't wait to come again 🫶🏽 i believe we paid ~45€ per (mixed) menu but the prices vary depending on which menu you choose- the mixed one was absolutely amazing though! only "bad" thing was that it was pretty loud and got a bit warm because of the grill but nothing dramatic and also nothing that the restaurant could do anything about tbh

Honestly, I was disappointed with the quality of the meat. I ordered the assorted beef, but the meat was dry and smelly, so I wouldn't recommend it to Koreans. Still, the kimchi stew was delicious, and the staff was friendly.

I was there in 2024 and was looking forward to the annual birthday dinner there. In 2024, the gourmet menu was a dream. This year, I was really disappointed. Same menu, but different content. I felt like the meat was smaller, or rather, you got less for your money. Of course, Wagyu beef is expensive to buy, but I still didn't think the price was justified for the portions. In 2024, they had a very tasty kimchi soup, but it was completely removed from the menu. I think that was also my last visit; next year we'll try the competition.

Top service. Top quality. Top decor. We had a BBQ for 11 people. The meat and fish melted in your mouth. The side dishes were varied and plentiful—everything was excellent. The vegan platter was also excellent. The tofu was the best. The pancakes were excellent. The cocktails were outstanding. As Vietnamese, we can't judge whether this is authentic Korean cuisine—but for us, it was undoubtedly a treat. Keep it up… we'll be back!

Authentic K-BBQ, very attentive service, politely and respectfully explaining tips and etiquette to anyone who doesn't know anything! If you run out of side dishes, they'll quickly refill them. Excellent quality meat!

Even without the typical Korean BBQ, you'll find something to eat here – we paid €32 per person for two main courses, a large bottle of water, and a dessert cocktail. Considering the quality, it's very reasonable and highly recommended!

At Yumira, I feel like I'm having a secret one-night stand: it's intense, the flavors are extraordinary, you sweat together, and at the end, you wonder why you didn't come sooner. The food is addictive, the dessert was creamy and rich, and our waitress, Can, is just as seductive. Food to fall in love with, service to fall to your knees. 5 stars, because 6 isn't enough.

For someone with no experience with Asian food, this can certainly be a fun experience, but as someone who has lived in Asia for 10 years, I can definitely say that this isn't authentic Korean BBQ. The food is rather bland and doesn't taste nearly as good as it would in Korea. Therefore, for those who know and appreciate Asian food, I unfortunately can't recommend this restaurant.

I would love to put him in the grill and eat him myself. He was a god to us, who was there for us during a difficult time. I met him briefly but fell in love immediately. I would devour such a handsome young man in a heartbeat. Thank you, Yu, my God.

For two people, it's very nice and quiet, you can talk and it's very peaceful. For me, it was very nice.

If you're looking for a special meal, this is the place to go. The various menus include a platter of meat/fish... along with matching sauces, vegetables, and rice/noodles. It's great that you can reorder any side dishes for free. Also suitable for groups. We'd be happy to come back.

The price is naturally on the higher end, but the quality, as well as the free side dishes (including reordering), are definitely worth it. Yu served us and gave us very friendly and courteous advice. At the end, we even got some soju on the house. All in all, highly recommended! 5/5

Fine Korean BBQ with a great presentation – the meat and fish are beautifully presented and look impressive. The taste is also top-notch. Particularly noteworthy: the many side dishes that you can reorder for free without limit – including salad, kimchi, fish cakes, wakame, edamame, bean sprouts, rice, noodles, and even pineapple. The cocktails were delicious, but also quite expensive – but with creative twists. The service was super friendly and very attentive, but unfortunately, there were only two servers for a completely booked restaurant. You could tell how stressed they were – but they still tried to accommodate everyone. Great respect for that, but more staff is really needed here.

We ordered the fish menu for just under €50. I missed the chef's pre-seasoning. Grilling it raw was nice, but a bit of a hassle for the price. Otherwise, it's fine for those who want to work hard for their food. 😅

Basically, it's quite tasty, and the staff is friendly, but unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer up to scratch. The prices for the meat sets are simply too high: the top plate was €37 and the bottom plate €44, which is too much for the amount. At least you can still order the side dishes for free, as is common in Korea.

I highly recommend Yumira! The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I've already convinced two friends to come, and a third will soon try it. The atmosphere is lovely, and they explain everything you need to know. The non-alcoholic cocktails are also highly recommended. The tables are a bit high for me, so I'm always happy to have a cushion seat, which they also provide. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely give this restaurant a try; you won't regret it!

I saw in his eyes that he knew when I was thirsty before I knew it myself. My glass was never empty, my heart never colder than 28 degrees Celsius. Yu isn't just a waiter. He's the Bruce Lee of BBQ tongs. The Mozart of marinades. The Van Gogh of grills. If service were an Olympic sport, Yu would have won gold three times already—blindfolded, of course. I can only advise everyone: Don't just go to this restaurant for the food—go for Yu. Because if you eat anywhere else, you'll only get nourishment. Here, you'll get enlightenment, love, and perfectly browned samgyeopsal—served by a living legend. Thank you, Yu. You're not just a waiter. You're a way of life.

We were, and still are, very impressed with this restaurant. It's certainly something special, and also quite expensive. Certainly justified given the quality, but I must say that the Iberico pork didn't impress me at all; it tasted bland and uninspiring. On the other hand, the beef and fish were beyond reproach; we'll skip the pork on future visits.
