Wagyu beef at a fair price. The atmosphere is lovely inside, but you can also sit outside when the weather is nice. You can order any side dishes you like, free of charge.

Beautiful ambiance (the cherry blossom decor is a real eye-catcher), delicious food, and friendly service. It would have been great if they explained the concept and the food style at the beginning, as it was new to us and we weren't sure what to expect. We then saw how other guests ate their food.

Very tasty food for home-grilling with very high-quality meat, and the price range reflects this. Good, attentive service. Unfortunately, parking is very difficult on-site, so arriving by public transport or taxi is strongly recommended. Hence the small point deduction.

Exceeded expectations! Very friendly service, fast, and courteous. We had the beef platter for two, super tender meat! The side dishes were also great. For drinks, we recommend the lychee-lime or passion-mint lemonades. We thought the price was reasonable for the quality, taste, and quantity!

The food is delicious, but also expensive. The waiter is friendly, but since the service was limited to one person, we had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks, the appetizer came after the main course, and when we tried to pay, we were sent away because he was busy and told to come back in 10 minutes.

The price is expensive, and the meat smells and is not very good. It is much fresher, cheaper, and better to buy pork belly at the mart and cook it at home.

Food was ok, not authentic per se for Korean food. I let the photo speaks for itself, banchan was ok-ish and that’s how I judge Korean food. Meat quality and portion is ok... Also the grill was not hot enough as the heat are from the side and not the top. All the juice from the meat are gone.

I didn't even know they were still open. There is still a notice in the “shop window” about the opening times for Christmas and New Year, the garden/outdoor space is overgrown. Not very inviting, I won't visit the restaurant in this condition.

Great dining experience, quality food and perfect service. We had made reservations for the evening (4 people) and arrived at our table about 10 minutes later after a drink at the bar. We all enjoyed the meat and the side dishes. Depending on your preference, you can have any side dish you like so that you have enough to eat. The drinks are local and the price is particularly reasonable. We felt very comfortable (no smells from the grill) and the very friendly and helpful service clearly stands out, many thanks to the whole team. The price was okay with bottled wine and a tip of €320. I would happily recommend it if you want a new dining experience.

It's fun and an experience, especially in a group. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they are doing the fine meat a favor and whether it is therefore a special taste experience. Personally, some pieces of beef seemed too mature to me. You can definitely do without the haute flavor in a dish like this, but that too is a matter of taste.

The food was authentic. We ordered samgyup and the korean chicken and were so full. They have good and plenty of side dishes. The sides were part of the bbq price. I would definitely recommend this restau for those craving korean bbq. The only thing that we noticed is that the staff does not speak english so we hard a hard time asking about the menu.

Very nice Korean restaurant where each table has its own grill in the middle. Recommended is v. a. the beef platter for two people, from which you can try everything. The starters are also very good. Some of these are included in the menu, but others can also be booked. The shop is very popular and there is a certain waiting time.

Overall, our visit was a successful experience. The quality of the meat was outstanding – tender, juicy and perfect for the grill. Here you can tell that great importance is placed on high-quality ingredients. However, the side dishes couldn't quite keep up. Although they were fresh and OK, they lacked the final refinement and variety. A little more creativity and spice would have taken the taste experience to a new level. Nevertheless, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit, especially for meat lovers. With a little tweaking to the side dishes it could even become a real highlight.

Super tasty food, but unfortunately a bit too popular on the weekends, so the interior is very crowded, cramped and relatively loud. The service is good, but once, despite having a reservation, we had to stand for quite a long time in the busy front and wait until our table was free. Otherwise everything is great and all supplements can be reordered free of charge. 🍛👌🏼

Because Google moderation blocked my positive post because of "my" pictures (violation of "guidelines..."), my objection was not answered/respected and also my request for help from GiGo management remained unanswered, I have decided no more positive reviews to write. Very tasty and freshly prepared. The menu with the mixed meat for 90€ for 2 came with plenty of side dishes (reorders are also free) and a soup, which I or we didn't expect at all. The meat and side dishes (vegetables, rice) are best packed in the lettuce leaves provided. Boun appetite. The only negative thing was that the extractor hood at our table didn't go down and so it got very warm while eating because the heat came from the table grill to the chair. Otherwise great.

Overall ok... Unfortunately we sat in the back corner and the smell was enormous. Like old grease/smoke, maybe it was the seat. When you lower the extractor hood you no longer see the person opposite you. The side dishes were sober. And our table was sticky from the previous guest. Cocktail came in a plastic glass, food in a metal plate/bowl. That's why only 3 of us⭐️

Sheet metal plate??? Otherwise everything was great, nice, attentive, friendly, everything was delicious, nicer dishes then it would be even better 👍

Sehr leckeres und frisch zubereitet. Zum Menü mit dem gemischten Fleisch für 90€ zu 2., gab es reichlich Beilage(auch Nachbestellungen umsonst) und eine Suppe, mit welcher ich bzw wir gar nicht rechneten. Das Fleisch und Beilagen (Gemüse,Reis) packt man am besten im die zur Verfügung gestellten Salatblätter. Boun Appetit. Negativ war nur, dass an unserem Tisch die Abzugshaube nicht runter ging und somit es sehr warm beim Essen wurde, da die Hitze vom Tischgrill bis zum Stuhl kam. Sonst super.

I can only recommend the best and most beautiful Korean restaurant in Munich.

Everything was very tasty. We ate at GiGo twice and got the grill plate both times. The first time we had it for 2 people and the second time for 3 people. Both times the quality of the meat was perfect. Always enough for 3 to 4 people. Service is just as perfect and the ambience with the cherry tree is stunning.

We went for lunch today on Boxing Day The starters were ok, but not super good. Soup was fairly neutral, kimchi was good but not amazing. The meat from the grill was really great, the side dishes were at best mediocre in taste, just not very refined. We didn't like the sauces, extreme soy sauce aroma. For 220€ for 4 people the kitchen wasn't nice enough. Unfortunately the extractor hoods are not strong enough, you smell a lot of barbecue. Service staff was super quick and friendly

The good: the banchan here is good, from the japchae to the pancakes, it’s even better than the paid dishes at most Korean restaurants in Munich. You can also get unlimited refills and the staff is highly efficient and quick. The not so good: meats here are pretty average despite the above average price point. The suction fans also don’t work very well and you end up having a fair bit of smoke in the place as well as smelling like BBQ when you leave

Tried Korean BBQ here for the first time today. The grill has a good temperature and is well designed so that no pieces can burn, even if they fall through the grate. The suction works relatively well, but the smell of grease is omnipresent. The interior design is beautiful. A bit loud. The restaurant is very busy and without a reservation you have no chance. The meat is of high quality but a bit expensive considering the side dishes (can be reordered for free, this should be better communicated to inexperienced guests). For four, €255 with the recommended plate. However, the service is top and firmly in Korean hands.

The food, although not cheap, was extremely tasty. Highly recommended for anyone who likes to eat Korean food.

Visited here around 6 to 7 times. Food quality is overall consistent and good. The male waiters attitudes are worse and worse, like they don't care. The lady (more senior ranking I assume) is the one who cares. Will continue to visit but I hope the service can be improved.

Worth an experience with high quality meat. I hoped for a little more from the sides, as well as from the dessert, of which there were only 3-4 flavors of ice cream. Without a reservation you hardly have a chance of getting a table and even with a reservation you are forced to leave the restaurant relatively quickly to free the table, which doesn't necessarily feel pleasant.

The food is delicious and it is more convenient to order. The waitress is very enthusiastic and attentive and always asks if you need more side dishes. The restaurant is very nice and has a perfect exhaust system

The food was very tasty, my drink was forgotten when I ordered, it took a while until I finally got something, but it was a lot Go. So all in all very good.

I don't usually write reviews, but this store definitely deserves it. I was at Gigo bbq for the first time with my sister and a friend on Saturday October 26th, 2024 and I have to say that the food and the service were a 12/10. We drove from Salzburg to Munich to actually see the city a bit, unfortunately it was too crowded in the city and we decided to make a reservation at the Gigo bbq. That was the highlight of the day! The service was very nice and competent. We took the menu for 3 people and added other dishes. Everything was on the table within 5 minutes. You can really taste the quality in the meat and side dishes! For dessert I had the mochi ice cream and my sister had the matcha ice cream. Even though I don't normally like matcha, it was really delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and we would love to come back :) It looks very cute but also elegant from the inside. The flowers in the foyer and the manga on the wall make it really inviting. I wish the Gigo-bbq team a nice week and thank you again for the great service 💕 Ps unfortunately the parking spaces are rather limited in Munich, so it would be better to go there by train or bus :) With kind regards, Marija from Salzburg :)

Good Korean BBQ with small deficiencies in the side dishes. Salad with dressing inappropriate, kimchi not really good, spring onion kimchi or other little things like raw garlic and chilli missing. The meat was good and so was the grill. Unfortunately, there is a strong focus on expensive cuts of beef, with few simpler cuts, especially pork. Especially in the pre-built menus. We were a bit pressured to leave, but it's fine given the restaurant's generously airy seating and otherwise very friendly and attentive service. I have never had a better KBBQ in Munich.

Reservation via OpenTable - pointless. You still have to wait at the bar and will be seated at the next available table. Price for 3 people for the 3 plate + a bottle. Soju + 3 Helle for 180€ = way too expensive. Unfortunately, the side dishes were very tasteless and without any kick. Meat would be good if grilled. You put the meat on and just have to wait forever. Then why do I pay for the experience of a BBQ at the table? Unfortunately, I've never experienced anything like that and I've been to a few Korean BBQs around the world. In the end we were charged without even asking for the bill and were literally swept away from the table so that there was room for the next waiting guests.

We wanted to celebrate another birthday at GIGO BBQ and reserved a table in the niche via OpenTable. However, when we arrived on time, our table was already taken and instead we were given a rather uncomfortable seat at the front door. It was cool there and there were many waiting customers crowding the counter because there were apparently delays with other reservations. Otherwise everything was fine. However, some side dishes were out and had to be re-prepared.

Still having to wait and be ignored by the waiters even if we had reservation. They even told us “immer warten” Food is very mediocre. The quality of meat is very inconsistent, some are still OK but mostly not fresh.

Wir wollten mal wieder einen Geburtstag im GIGO BBQ feiern und haben extra einen Tisch in der Nische über OpenTable reserviert. Als wir pünktlich ankamen, war unser Tisch jedoch bereits vergeben, und stattdessen bekamen wir nur einen recht ungemütlichen Platz an der Eingangstür. Dort war es kühl, und viele wartende Gäste drängten sich am Tresen, weil es offenbar zu Verzögerungen bei anderen Reservierungen kam. Ansonsten war alles in Ordnung. Einige Side-Dishes waren allerdings aus und mussten erst neu zubereitet werden.

For me, the experience was more important than the expected quality. Despite a reservation there was a waiting time of 40 minutes. According to the manager, there were double bookings from the tool that day. The waiting time was bridged with free Prosecco. So justifiable on my part. The interior design looks functional and chic, only the smell of grease is a bit annoying. You could order different menus or individual grilled food. Unlimited side dishes were included in the menus. The taste of the meat was okay, for my taste the heat isn't enough to caramelize the fat, so it was a bit bland. The side dishes are spicy and tasty. The prices are rather high, but are justified by the experience and variety. The good and attentive service also plays its part. Personally, I don't have the taste explosion to make another visit.

We had reserved a place at 7 p.m. However, when we arrived on time it was total chaos. Instead of being taken to our "reserved" table, we had to wait 15 minutes until we were assigned a seat. (This had been free for some time, but according to the staff it couldn't be occupied, despite a reservation...) This wasn't just the case for us, but also for all the other guests who had reserved a place at this time. In general, the service was very stressed and the guests were also tense (quick clearing of food, even though some of them hadn't finished their plates yet). But the food, it has to be said, was very enjoyable. Portions were perfect, but there was a lot of skimping on the side dishes, so you often had to wait until you got a refill of the side dishes. By the way, the kimchi was a bit mild, so unfortunately not that authentic.

We and 8 other people had a reservation for 8pm. There were no free seats in the restaurant and the employee was visibly surprised and overwhelmed by the high demand. Due to the long waiting time, we moved on to the neighboring Vietnamese restaurant Jacci.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre innen wie außen. Wir haben uns die Platte für 2 Personen bestellt. Es war absolut ausreichend. Beilagen (6 verschiedene) können jederzeit kostenfrei nachbestellt werden. Das gleich ist eine Hammer Qualität. Ja nicht ganz billig, aber bei dieser Qualität absolut verständlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

A rare Wagyu shop in Munich with excellent products

Alles war super. Nur wir müssten leider trotz der Reservierung halbe Stunde auf einen Tisch warten.

The service was quick and courteous. We had both pork and beef. The beef was better than other BBQs in Munich. The pork worse. The side dishes were inauthentic. The pancake was dry and hard. The kimchi is barely fermented and with little paste. Zucchini and tofu were ok. They would have liked to have left out the glass noodles. The soup was very good. The selection of sauces was small. Actually just a really mixed one. The chicken wings were tasty even if a little hard. My cocktail was made with cheap alcohol. The next day I had a hangover from just one. So really cheap alcohol. Light was ok.

We always enjoy eating here. The meat and side dishes are really fantastic and the service is very accommodating. Always a great experience.

Insanely good food, the meat is 1 A with stars. The service was very good! Definitely worth a visit if you like to grill your own meat. Everything just fits! Price-wise - it looks expensive at first glance, but since the plates are for 2 people, it's not expensive! And honestly, you're happy to pay for good meat, top service and a wonderful ambience, because you'll remember it.

Wir waren für einen wochenendausflug in München und hatten natürlich nach was besonderem zum Essen gesucht. Da wir wegen meiner Frau am Tag zuvor in einer Pizzaria "Pizzarei" waren, die auch sehr gut war, durfte ich am 2ten Tag mir etwas aussuchen. Sowohl das Ambiente, der weg zum Restaurant und auch der ganze Aufbau wie auch der Geschmack, war alles sehr gut. Der Preis ist natürlich etwas höher, aber für gutes Fleisch, und dies war in diesem Fall definitiv so, war der Preis sehr angemessen. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

Great, 3 people eat more than enough for 150 euros plus drinks. Unfortunately the tables are a bit cramped but otherwise great. Gladly again.
