YOYO China Restaurant in Schweinfurt

The price for lunch was €11.90, but they charged us €16.90. I didn't have any cash and wanted to pay by card, but they told me the machine didn't accept Visa. My friend was forced to go home and get money from the bank. Apparently, they don't want to work with cards and are just making things difficult for people. We didn't get a receipt, and the food was subpar. It was simply a disgrace. "It wasn't an official holiday in Germany. If you had given me a receipt, I would have returned it. But you neither let me pay by card nor gave me a receipt. And I'll write that in my comment—so please don't tell me otherwise."

Nice restaurant with a small lunch buffet. The food is freshly prepared and the staff is very friendly.

We stopped by spontaneously. €16.90 for the buffet and two drinks for two people, €40 in total. We were there around 5:30 p.m. and the rice was already out. They refilled it. The rice was dry and some of it was simply too greasy. The chocolate fountain looked dried out and hadn't been turned on in a while. Unfortunately, not recommended.

I won't be coming back!! Salty no matter what you try. Sauce way too thick... what a shame... The service was very friendly and helpful...

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it... the sauces were so salty and after constructive criticism, they replied that everyone had eaten and no one said anything... the lady did not want to try it though... sorry, not like that

Always happy to come back. Staff is super friendly and nice. The ambience is “typically Asian”. Food is generally good, but CAN vary a lot. It depends on when you come and how many customers come. Therefore, it may be that a dish has been sitting for a while (therefore no longer the right temperature or the right “bite”) or that some time has been taken to fill up exactly one dish. It's a bit difficult to plan for a buffet when the customers are primarily walk-in customers and the number can fluctuate a lot. You can criticize, but you should also be mentally capable of understanding why that is the case. I don't always like it either, but I realize how difficult it is to plan and work with perishable goods. I read a comment criticizing the lack of free parking... I find it outrageous, incomprehensible and stupid. A parking space in the city costs 50 - 100 euros a month, and as far as I know, not a single restaurant in the city center has permanently free parking spaces. The restaurant really can't do anything about that if the customer is too poor and/or incompetent... If you come at a time when the parking spaces are free, or by bike or motorbike if you're too lazy to walk. What?! Bicycle, motorbike or on foot are not options?! How incompetent...

The price for lunch was cheap (€11.90 per person) but when we arrived around 12:30 the food was old and lukewarm... The duck was dry and rubbery and the rice was sticky and also old and there was a lack of sauces. It was only filled up when people left. The refilled duck was great but I wasn't at all impressed with the performance. Nevertheless, the boss is very personable and I hope that she will fix the problems.

The selection is very limited. The containers are constantly empty. You had to wait a long time before they were finally refilled. Unfortunately, not recommended!

Went to YOYO again today with my girlfriend. We really like going there because it is simply very good. The buffet is not too big but very tasty and, above all, the service is always friendly. We can definitely recommend it. The price-performance ratio is also perfectly fine. We definitely always enjoy coming here.

You can eat delicious Chinese food here. Daily buffet at a reasonable price, very nice boss.

Very beautiful place, bur choice is low, especially for me, who don't eat meat and gluten. Many dishes are fried&breaded, sauces for other dishes also contain wheat flour. Sushi as for my taste not good unfortunately. The price for 1 person buffet is 18€ as for day of posting.

Had a friendly phone call and a friendly reception :) The selection is a little smaller, but the quality and taste of the food is noticeably better than the competition :) I almost feel guilty about the price, you pay the same for 3 people as you normally would for 2, so I was even more surprised by the great food! Soup, sushi, dessert, fruit, salad... Everything was there :)

Not as good as the Kham Sing. The service was very friendly, but there are some basic drawbacks: The plates at the buffet are all cold. There must be warm plates to choose from at a buffet. The selection of vegetables is extremely limited, apart from the salad bar. I liked the breaded chicken strips, shrimp and calamari better than in Kham Sing, as they were fried a little crispier. I also consider it a positive thing that my drink was completely filled. There was also a fresh slice of lemon in it.

The three of us were there today at 7 p.m. for a buffet meal. A large party left the restaurant in front of us. There was another family there with us, but they were almost finished. The service was very friendly. The buffet was already partially emptied, but we were immediately offered to order what was missing, even if we had other wishes, it wouldn't be a problem. Although one or the other was no longer completely full, all three of us got up very full, had a nice conversation with the waitress and a delicious bamboo schnapps as a greeting from the house. Especially at the moment we shouldn't insist on full pots that might have to be thrown away in the evening if no one eats them. It was a lovely evening, great ambience and delicious food.

Unfortunately there was snow that day, so there were very few people there. Unfortunately, various dishes at the buffet were not refilled or were only lukewarm. It's also a shame that a visitor cleared away the entire sushi with salmon at once. Things probably work better on other days.

We have already visited this restaurant twice. We had reservations both times. The first visit for 10 people at 6 p.m. Sunday, the second time for 7 people at 6 p.m. on January 2nd. There is a moderately large selection of typical Asian wok dishes...Unfortunately I have to say that the buffet was only very sparsely filled In some cases the containers simply remained empty for quite a long time. There is a nice chocolate fountain, but on both visits we only had grapes available as fresh fruit. Banana was out. In addition, not all of the drinks that were offered on the menu were available (no juices, no wine,...) Overall it was still okay because the food we tried tasted very good. The duck was particularly good.

Heute waren wir wieder mal im YoYo zum Buffet, Preis ist gleichgeblieben, Personal freundlich wie immer. Das Nachfüllen des Buffets hat heute etwas länger gedauert, aber es war immer genügend für alle da. Auch auf persönliche Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Weiter so! Das chinesische Buffet mit Sushi und Schokobrunnen ist sehr lecker und für 13,90 Euro sehr günstig. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Buffet wird ständig nachgefüllt. Essen ala carte gibt es nicht.

Konnten beim Mittagsbuffet sehr viele Sachen probieren, war alles sehr lecker! Preise sind moderat, Bedienung sehr freundlich

Wir waren Samstag dort und haben Buffet gegessen. Die Auswahl ist okay, das Essen war sehr lecker. 8 Schätze, Rindfleisch mit Zwiebeln und die Pilze waren meine Top Favoriten 1A. Obst, Eis und Kuchen als Nachspeise waren auch okay. Leider war der Schokobrunnen aus. Die Damen am Service waren sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ich kann das YoYo nur weiterempfehlen.

Haben nicht die größte Auswahl am buffet, aber alles da was man braucht. Schmeckt sehr gut. Das Sushi ist auch mega lecker und frisch. Preis Leistung 1A👍👍👍

Waren heute spontan dort nachdem unser Lieblingschinese wohl den Koch gewechselt hat, und der zweite Chinese einen spontanen Ruhetag eingelegt hat. Kannten das Lokal noch von früher, aber nachdem sich die alten Besitzer zurück gezogen hatten war es zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr gut. Vor ein paar Monaten haben dann die Besitzer gewechselt. Die Einrichtung ist noch die gleiche, alles ein bisschen dunkel aber trotzdem typisch deutscher Chinese. Die Toiletten sind sauber, könnten aber mal eine Renovierung vertragen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, benutze Teller werden gleich abgeräumt und man darf sich einen neuen nehmen. Auch die Getränke waren gleich am Tisch, obwohl das Lokal gut besucht war. Wir haben vom Buffet gegessen, obwohl die Preise für die Mittagsgerichte zwischen 6,30 und 8,20 sehr günstig sind. Das Buffet ist optisch viel kleiner als bei unseren anderen Chinesen, aber von der Auswahl fast ebenbürtig. Es gibt die Pekingsuppe, diverse Sushi, Salatbuffet, Kuchen, Eis, ein bisschen Obst, Nachtisch, einen Schokobrunnen, diverse Saucen, Frittiertes und mind. 7 verschiedene Gerichte. Alles ist in relativ kleinen Behälter, sodass diese reichhaltige Auswahl auf dem kleinen Büffet Platz hat. Keiner der Behälter war während der knapp 2 Stunden die wir dort waren länger als 2 Minuten leer, ständig wurde aus der Küche frisches, heißes Essen nachgefüllt. Die einzelne Gerichte schmeckten alle verschieden und wirklich ausgezeichnet. Das hat mich an die alten Zeiten erinnert, als die Familie Lo das Restaurant vor mehr als 30 Jahren eröffnet hat. Ich kann auch kein Gericht besonders hervor heben, jedes war auf seine Art gut und ich würde auch jedes a la carte bestellen. Einziger Kritikpunkt, die Suppe könnte m.E. ein wenig mehr Pep vertragen und an manchen Eissorten hatten sich durch die offene Lagerung ein paar Eiskristalle abgesetzt. Und der eigentlich obligatorische Pflaumenwein davor/danach hat gefehlt. Der Preis für unser Essen incl. Getränke lag unter 60€ (Buffet 10,90€ Bier 3€). Da gebe ich schon mal gerne deutlich mehr als 10% Trinkgeld. Wir werden wieder kommen und können das neue Yoyo nur empfehlen. Weiter so.

However, there are some iconic dishes that don't taste as delicious and authentic, or rather, they lack the desired chewiness. 🥟The dumplings: The dumpling skins are too thin to adequately enclose the filling. When I pick them up from the food counter, most of the skins are already broken, which is not ideal. 🥣Sweet and Sour soup: Despite the inclusion of the word "sweet" in its name, the soup is supposed to taste sour and slightly spicy, rather than being sweet. 🍣Sushi: The rice doesn't taste like the typical sushi rice, and it's quite thick, making it easy for me to feel full quickly. So, if you plan on eating a lot, it's better not to consume too much sushi here.
