Always good, always delicious, but also always crowded.

We booked a table here a month in advance for our Christmas party, but the reservation was "not recorded." Luckily, they had space in the non-swimmers' area.

Delicious food for a good price.

Honestly, if you're looking for an oriental meal in a nice setting in Bielefeld, you'd think this was the place. Think again, because the service is a complete disaster. Despite the service, we went there several times, but after being served spoiled meat and still having to pay for it because we hadn't said anything sooner, we're never going back. The waiter justified it by saying, "We should have said something sooner." Not even an apology seemed appropriate. The plate was untouched and reeked of bad meat. We paid the full amount and left in shock. We strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. The service is incredibly rude, and the meat isn't checked in the evening; it sits there in the heat all day. Just stay away.

It's the best restaurant offering delicious Turkish cuisine in the area. An elegant and pleasant restaurant, and the food is absolutely delicious.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Piro in Bielefeld. We had Döner Kebab, fries, a bit of salad and a dip – easily ordered, quickly served and genuinely tasty. The staff is extremely attentive and proactive. They always keep an eye on the tables, and even small details are corrected immediately. For example, we had a fork placed incorrectly, and within 20 seconds they replaced it. When we asked, they explained that it might have fallen on the floor earlier without anyone noticing. All dishes were served with a smile, quickly and clearly announced, so you always know exactly what’s being placed on your table. The meat was juicy and grilled perfectly for my taste. The fries were crunchy and flavourful, although a few had soaked up some juice from the salad — not ideal, but understandable since everything comes on one plate. Overall, a great experience with delicious food and outstanding service. Would definitely come again!

Adana kebab was very tasty, but the lamb chops were very dry. The chicken and lamb skewers were good. It was packed on weekends, which naturally affected the noise level in the restaurant, making it a bit louder. The service was friendly and fast.

The food was very good and the price/performance ratio was also good. The ambiance wasn't good, as the furniture was terribly worn and it was generally too dark. The service was an absolute disaster. The waiter who took our order was still polite, but the guy who came to the cashier (why does someone else even come? It looks really odd) then said they didn't accept card payments. I explained that none of us had any cash with us. The guy didn't care; he told us to go to the bank. We could have just left, and no one would have batted an eye. Why card payments aren't possible is surely obvious to everyone, and I also appreciate that my meal was so inexpensive. But you can't send customers to the bank; that's appalling service. If you don't want to pay taxes, then do what every reputable restaurant does and change owners every two years. The guy at the train station does the same thing. But don't torture your customers with your ignorance.

Very disappointing! On one side of the plate, doner kebab on flatbread with tomato sauce, next to it a grilled tomato, and a grilled and halved hot pepper. On the other side of the plate, a dollop of yogurt. Embarrassing to call that İskender...

Stay away!! I was there last week! The waiters tip themselves and like to double-check the transaction, claiming the card reader is malfunctioning, even though you can hear the beep when the money is debited! The food doesn't taste good anymore either; the lahmacun isn't made with red minced meat and is full of oil, and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. A few years ago, they had good food there, but apparently, that's it now. I'll never set foot in that place again!!!

The food was fantastic, served hot, and everything arrived at the same time. However, I must also mention that the waiter, Kowen (or whatever his name was), created such a wonderful atmosphere at our table that we're eager to return. It was our first time at Piro, and thanks to him, we'll be back more often. His recommendation to order dish number 115 with rice and a little tzatziki was amazing. I highly recommend it! My wife and I are looking forward to seeing him again.

The pita with cubed meat is like very oily cubed minced meat and the serving plate is very bad, someone has to hold the plate to cut it with a knife 👉 When there was no salad on the side, we ordered it and the salad that came had no oil, salt, lemon or anything on the side or in it. I have had better meals in very mediocre looking places. I hope they take it into consideration.

Generally a good place for Turkish food in Bielefeld. It’s big and spacious but also quite noisy. We had to wait and could not reserve a table but the queue dissolved rather quickly. Our dishes were all good, my only problem was that the lamb meat had some stronger taste to it. All in all a good place with very filling portions. Beer prices are on the steeper side. Service was great!

Very good, delicious, and varied offerings, and the service is generally very good. Only one waiter could have been a bit nicer. He accidentally brushed my friend's hand a few times as he walked by and didn't apologize. It's probably because the seating at the front is quite tight, but a small "sorry" would have been appropriate nonetheless. Otherwise, it's a very nice and elegant place; I really enjoy going there.

The food is okay but the waiter was an Indian or something he was not nice at all he threw the cards in our faces we ordered chili noodles and a karislik noodles were sweet and sour no chili and the karislik was just chicken skewers and Adana nothing more never again can ocakbasi is a million times better

It's a real shame what the place has become! Expensive, small portions, and not particularly tasty; the staff only does the bare minimum. The menu was so dirty and sticky that I could barely open it. Never again.

We always enjoy coming here. It's nothing special, but you always know what you're getting. The service is always friendly and courteous, children are welcome, and since the renovations, it's been much more pleasant. The only thing is the restrooms, which unfortunately seem a bit neglected; they could use some improvement.

Drinks are too expensive at €3.90, which is actually too much, and 70 percent of the thunderstorm is salad. So, they don't give any. Black tea is just expensive coffee.

The food was good, but there was a short, black hair in the yogurt. My hair was in a tight braid, and my husband has light hair—it couldn't have come from us. The waiter took the plate without a word and only returned later (after being asked) for the bill. The issue was ignored; only after I pointed it out was he succinctly told me it couldn't have come from the kitchen. No apology, no goodwill—disappointing treatment.

The location looks elegant. The food was delicious but arrived cold. The service left a lot to be desired. We sat in the front area. The waiters seemed very stressed, extremely confused, and made anyone who lingered there feel uncomfortable. Perhaps visit during the week rather than on a weekend. The stars are awarded solely for the ambience – they want to be fair, after all. The food? Average to insignificant, culinary-wise completely uninspired. The prices are at least realistic – probably the only thing that's remained down to earth here. The restrooms, on the other hand, are a disgrace – apparently the cleaning staff are off duty or just not in the mood. The low point? A waiter who, in all seriousness, blames the customer for a technical problem with the debit machine and then adds, "There must be no money on the card." Arrogant and extremely unprofessional. Someone like that doesn't belong in the service department, but in the comedy department. But hey, every place has its court jester. He didn't even notice what kind of credit card I had.

You can eat here, but the typical doner kebab, which is sometimes simply delicious, is no longer on the menu. For the prices, you'll get more satisfaction from competitors in a similar setting.

I don't understand why you can't get lavash/yufka from you. It's always just flatbread... even though you also use the dough for durum... otherwise delicious, but also expensive in some cases.

Anyone who still likes this place today and leaves is lost. Five years ago, Piro was still very good. Today, it's all about money. The food is bad, and the service is bad, too.

Portions are too small, and prices are increasing with ever smaller portions. The doner kebab is okay, but €8.50 for a doner kebab with substandard portions isn't great. The plate of lamb cutlets is also way too overpriced for the small portion.

I went to the Piro restaurant with my family – unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The food doesn't taste the same as it used to, especially the meat. The plates used to be full, but now you only get 100g of meat with a few fries for over €30. Far too expensive and no longer worth it. The biggest problem, however, is the service: Most of the waiters there clearly haven't learned how to treat guests. They behave very unprofessionally. One waiter stood with his bow right in my face while I was sitting at the table with my wife – that was totally disrespectful. They also clear the table over the heads of the guests and talk loudly to colleagues, even though there are guests sitting right next to them. This used to be a good restaurant – unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore.

I'm not from Bielefeld and was in Piro. I ordered a doner kebab with fries. The bread wasn't warm, not crispy like a Berlin doner kebab, the bread was half cold, half warm. I ordered lamb in a doner kebab, but the lamb was dry, not that warm and rather dry. It probably wasn't on a skewer and was kept warm in a container. Overall, the doner kebab got a rating of 5. The fries were too dry and hardly any seasoning, also a rating of 5. Mine was catastrophically bad. An hour later, my stomach noticed that the food wasn't good and it tasted that way. My colleague ate a grill plate for €25. When the plate arrived, we were surprised why there was so little food, it wasn't worth €10. Better to eat pizza or all you can eat at a Chinese restaurant. The grill plate isn't worth it, too expensive, I ate too little. Then my colleague had Fanta and I had a large beer. A total of €48. Too expensive, the food was catastrophic, and for €25 at my colleagues the grilled plate was too small. A scandal, the plate wasn't worth €10. We regretted going into the shop. It's no longer worth ordering plates in a Turkish restaurant. That's why I had the kebab with fries because I assumed it was catastrophically cheap for €25. If I had ordered a grilled plate and they had given me so little food for that money, I would have complained to people. I didn't order a grilled plate, which saved me a lot of stress. It's gotten very, very bad; unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all anymore; it's a huge disappointment. It's truly incomprehensible that such quality (or rather quantity) is even accepted. Operators shouldn't be surprised if customers stay away. Either you offer genuinely good quality, which allows you to keep your prices, or you should just give up altogether. If you don't believe me, then go through it for yourself.

There is no halal food here. Your portions are getting smaller and prices are getting more and more expensive. The quality of the meat has drastically decreased, especially kebab, regardless of which type. Service rubbish... Except for young women, two come running and ask them at least four times until they get up if something is missing.

Unfortunately very inauthentic. There were five of us there. Everyone ordered skewered dishes, such as kuzu şiş. These are traditionally served with lavaş. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. When asked, we were told that lavaş is only made for dürüm dishes. When we said we would like to order some for an additional charge, we were quoted a price of €9.80, which would be the price for a complete Dürüm. Too bad... Prices too high for the small portions.

Great restaurant. I went there for the first time this week on the advice of a colleague. The staff, food and ambience are top. The selection on the menu is designed in such a way that you have a lot to choose from but are not overwhelmed. There was only a short wait until the food was brought, but you could enjoy the salad and bread in advance. Through the glass design counter you could watch the chefs grilling the skewers. Modern, cozy atmosphere. Definitely come back.

I then complained about the food and the waiter immediately became unfriendly and was unwilling to remake the food, despite the allergy.
