Yamato Sushi & Grill in Moers

I've ordered here regularly for years and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, my last order was a huge disappointment: The tuna was of terrible quality – it smelled strongly, was watery, and stringy, so none of us could eat it. I reported the incident the same day via Lieferando and sent photos as evidence. Despite this, the restaurant refuses to issue a refund. This is not only annoying, but unfortunately also shows that the customer service here is no longer up to scratch. It's a shame that one of my regular delivery services has now become a "never again" – the quality and service have declined significantly.

The service is very poor. I ordered three packs of noodles. After an hour, I only received one and was told I had ordered one, not three. I can't recommend it at all.

Nice little restaurant, the seats outside are unfortunately limited due to the bus stop directly opposite, but inside it is pleasant. The service was very friendly and helpful. It took a while and the things came very spread out, but everything was quite good. Prices are absolutely fair and reasonable.

Ambiance was ok, but a bit old either from the previous owner or the current owner. Food was good. Service was okay too. But it was terribly cold. It draws a lot from the window front and door. It was extremely cold that day and I don't think you could have warmed up a room like that so quickly.

Had lunch break at the first aid course at the driving school across from the restaurant and tried it out. Was really surprised. The maki were generously filled, the salmon and tuna were fresh and tasty, and the presentation with dry ice and plants on the plate was great. The service was also great. Price-performance is unbeatable here, I just hope it stays that way.

Unfortunately a point deducted for cleanliness. The cards on the table were dirty. The path to the toilets is not attractive. There could be more choice of soy sauces. I'll definitely come back.

Food is good and can be improved. Please serve sushi fish cooler. The staff is very friendly and also the flagship. The music in the background is a matter of taste. The restaurant is also clean. The selection of dishes is diverse. The prices are reasonable.

Staff doesn't understand German well (I have problems with intolerances)

The good first thing is that the food was really tasty. That was it for the positive. The atmosphere is terrible, there are cobwebs everywhere, the toilets are very dirty, the narrow corridors are cluttered and everything is very thrown together. The service couldn't manage a proper process because neither the drinks came at the same time nor the food. Half of them came and the rest only 10-15 minutes later, after we were asked if everything was ok and we then had to ask where the rest of the dishes were.

Fast service for a good price & tasty food. Normally you pay almost the same for an alcohol-free cocktail as for one with alcohol, that was not the case here!! Delicious food & drinks. Recommended

Jumbled together, very cheap looking furnishings. The service is mainly concerned with itself. Unfortunately the food wasn't any better. Rice extremely mushy, vegetables in the sauce still raw.

Unfortunately we had bad luck with the quality last time. The fish was fresh but unfortunately streaked with (let's call it silver skin) and not chewable.

Unfortunately, it's no longer our favorite sushi shop 😒 Recently, Yamato only delivers from 95!!! Euro to Rumeln and then still charges a delivery fee... it's a shame, we ordered weekly, but this company policy has now scared us away. We'd rather go to the competitor now.

The store makes a nice impression and the service staff are very friendly. The tea is freshly prepared, just different from what you're used to (otherwise doesn't mean it has to be bad). The sushi was good and the main course was also tasty.

Excellent quality, both in the sushi and the cooked dishes, creatively presented on the plates. A real culinary highlight in Moers. Hardly anyone comes by because of the ambience (the background music and surroundings are strange). You can go to Yamato (or have it delivered via delivery) and the food quality is absolutely TOP. Big portion. Small prices.

Favorite sushi shop in the area

The food 🥣 was okay. What didn't work at all, however, was the terribly slow service. We waited almost 2 hours for our meal for 2 people. Two dishes were ordered to be served on site. The meals taken away from home or for delivery were apparently prepared very quickly, because everyone came one after the other and had received their food earlier. We sat there like idiots and waited. Later we mentioned twice that we had been waiting here for well over an hour for our food. It would have been fairer if we had been told that they were more concerned about guests from outside the hotel or that we would have to wait longer. In that case we would have gone to another restaurant, but we had to wait forever and there was no compensation other than “We're sorry, but we can only tell the chef that they've been waiting for a long time. If he cooks something else first, there’s nothing we can do!” I don't know what we should do with a statement like that. The only conclusion we can come up with is to go to another restaurant.

In particular the sauces, whether sweet and sour or satay, are unusually watery but have a sensational taste. The vegetables are wonderfully firm to the bite, the meat is well prepared. I like it very much and the portions are generous.

So delicious! Super tastefully prepared. Great friendly staff. We recommend. The yellow curry was exceptionally good. The Pho soup was delicious.

Here everyone knows what they are doing, from the friendly waitresses to the chefs. The food is very, very tasty and inexpensive. Even though I'm not in the area often because I'm from the Stuttgart area, this restaurant is my first stop every time I visit the area. I've completed 70% of the menu and everything so far has been extremely tasteful and delicious. My personal insider tip: Thai Hot Spicy Curry No. 47a The sushi, whether baked or raw, is also a culinary delight. Order cleanliness is a given here. Fair prices, great quality. Probably the best sushi I've eaten so far! Unfortunately, part of the order was forgotten, but that wasn't a big deal. Everything else was simply delicious! It was just a little strange that Christmas music was playing in the background. Addendum from March 4th, 2023: Sushi and eating everything was delicious, as always. But... The service is terrible today. Tables are cleaned after guests sit down and remain dirty for as long as possible. There is no inquiry as to whether the food is OK. It is not checked whether drinks are still wanted. The boss is letting a lot of money slip through his fingers. This time the service is for two people and neither of them look for drinks or requests.

Top supplier for the famous Vietnamese Pho soup and high quality sushi. We have been a regular customer for years and have always been very satisfied. Highly recommended.

Zuerst einmal muss ich sagen, dass ich Stammkunde war. Service in Ordnung, Ambiente ist nicht vorhanden, jedoch war das Essen immer echt gut und somit ging man dann nur zum Essen hin, wie bei McDonalds. Heute waren wir zu zweit und haben Sushi bestellt, es kam nach 25 Minuten an. Wir sagen der Kellnerin, dass es falsch ist und irgend eine ganz seltsame Soße auf unserem Sushi war, die wir nicht essen wollten, und darauf hin nahm die Kellnerin meine Essstäbchen und PORKELTE IN UNSEREM ESSEN RUM! Nach dem Rumporkeln hätte ich das Essen sowieso nicht mehr gegessen, es sah danach sehr unappetitlich aus. Als wär das nicht schon genug meinte sie, dass es doch nur 4 Stücke Sushi wären mit etwas drin, was wir nicht bestellt haben. Eine unfassbare Unverschämtheit. Es war leider wieder das falsche, somit mussten wir weitere 10 Minuten warten und dann kam das neue Essen an. Es war wieder etwas drin, was wir nicht bestellt haben. Haben es aber nicht angesprochen und es gegessen, bis wir irgendwas ganz seltsames und nicht identifizierbares in unserem Sushi gesehen haben und uns darauf hin schlecht wurde und uns der Appetit vergangen ist. Wir haben kaum etwas von dem Essen gegessen und gehen dort leider nie wieder hin. Echt schade, aber sich nichtmal zu entschuldigen oder sonst irgendwas war sehr heftig.

Wir waren das erstes Mal hier essen. Und ich muss sagen wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Leckeres Sushi genauso wie gebratene Nudeln, alles Top eingerichtet und zubereitet. Netter Service/Bedienung.

Wir waren dort spontan wegen guter Bewertungen und ich kann nur weiterempfehlen. 1. Sushi schmecken sehr gut! 2. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett. 3. Essen kam auf dem Tisch sehr schnell! 4. Preisleistung sehr gut. Wir werden nochmal wieder kommen!

Mit Abstand das beste Sushi in der Umgebung ! Trotz Lieferung waren die Crunchy-Rolls noch warm, der Reis hatte eine perfekte Konsistenz, die Qualität des Fisches ist einfach nur super, zart, geschmackvoll. Die Rollen waren fest, kein Stück zerfiel und trotzdem wurde die japanische Mayo NICHT aus den Röllchen gequetscht. Ich muss zugeben, dass das Sushi im Vergleich zu anderen etwas teurer ist aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt! Werden zu 100% wieder bei Yamato bestellen ! Nicht nur Schokolade setzt Glückshormone frei sondern auch dieses leckere Sushi !
