My steak with vegetables, herb butter and fries was freshly prepared. The dish was very tasty for 8 euros. The steak was a little too cooked for me. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Too expensive for what is offered.

Were there today for shopping. Then wanted to have a lunchtime snack. A football schnitzel is offered for 9.90 including a 6-cup Becks beer. When we paid we were dismissed very briskly with the statement that we needed a voucher for this. Yes, after the third time looking, finding it advertising directly in the restaurant and then having no way of getting the voucher simply disappoints me. I'm sorry, but we won't go here anymore, at least to eat. Update from July 29th, 2024. Unfortunately my email has not been answered to this day. I have NEVER had such a bad breakfast at dodenhof. There were no plates, so we had to ask first. The scrambled eggs also took a long time to arrive. When we asked, we had croissants 10 minutes later, but of course the scrambled eggs were already cold by this time. Packaged sweet spreads, here only honey, strawberry and raspberry jam. Garbage production is apparently very important here. The small breakfast (including 5 parts) already includes the roll, so if you want to cover one half with ham or sausage, you have to sacrifice 2 parts because one slice is not enough. If you then use scrambled eggs and butter, you can no longer use jam or anything similar. Because as already written, 5 parts - 1 roll = 4 parts. When we got here we were wondering why there was so much space to sit, previously it was impossible to even think about finding a place right away. No wonder, we now know!!! We're never coming here again.

The selection is great, I had to put two glasses back for the drinking glasses because they weren't 100% clean. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and the fork was enough to separate it. That was frozen goods, why not use it fresh with its own breading. Seating is okay. 185 g salad €4.07 is already expensive, the carrot salad was out of the bucket

Once and never again something so bad, there is no such thing as Jägerschnitzel, which I somehow had to look for under all the breadcrumbs, the salad didn't taste like anything, a drink with it 50 euros!!!!!! OK for 2 people you could eat the fries and that's what we did

So what should I do? Puke. I haven't eaten so badly in years. And the price is also way too high. I can't recommend it. Even the smell is repulsive.

We haven't had such a bad meal yet. In contrast, MacD.... is a gourmet restaurant. Too expensive for a meal that even the dog doesn't want to eat. I'm sorry for the employees that I have to say this so clearly. But the days of opening the bag and stirring it once are actually over. And you really can't sell such artificial, over-seasoned food.

We've been looking forward to the free breakfast at XXXLUTZ for months. We thought we could take 12 items from the breakfast buffet plus coffee for free. At the checkout was the usual lady who had been working at the company for a long time and who had often caught our eye in a negative way. We presented the voucher, the lady also asked for the XXXLUTZ customer card, which we didn't have with us. We then had to pay for breakfast. A simple disappointment! This situation could have been handled in a more customer-friendly manner. Then you don't have to be surprised that fewer and fewer people are visiting the once well-filled roof garden restaurant. This was simply a zero number! Are very disappointed!

The food or breakfast was really good. And actually I used to come here just for the food. But today it was really bad, the roll was very hard, the bacon tasted musty and had been in the fat for a long time and the cocoa was very artificial. It's a real shame...we probably won't come here again.

I was looking forward to the breakfast buffet which no longer exists in this form. I used to really enjoy it here Had breakfast, but that's now done. Unfortunately, I don't understand why they decided to do this either.

The coffee was inferior. The food was really not tasty and very poor quality.

Mediocre food. The employees were upset at various people from their own team at the checkout. This is how you like to eat. Nothing special, you can do a lot more here.

Today we tried the XXL schnitzel. It couldn't be much worse. The meat is molded meat. In addition, the schnitzel was lukewarm and the fried potatoes were completely cold. It no longer has anything to do with good food. Even if it is not very expensive, it should still have a certain level of quality. In any case, we won't be coming back.

The selection was much better and more. 2 different rolls, with the grain roll being a cheap baked roll. The croissants weren't any better either. Jam and honey close to expiration date. The butter had a best before date of April 5, 2024. Look at today's date 🤔🤨. We were wondering why it was so empty. Now we know why. Having to charge €9.90 for the junk is outrageous. They will NEVER see us again. Oh, I forgot, the only positive thing was the nice employees.

And now I'm adding ZERO stars!! Underground breakfast. Cold scrambled eggs. If I had wanted to, I wouldn't have even been able to get the 17 supplements together. Unless I had chosen the decoration. Unfriendly staff. Hardly any plates there. No suitable cups for latte macchiato. Everything was overflowing.....the incredible cheese selection amounted to ONE slice of cheese! Oh, and breakfast takes exactly 1 hour. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., although by 10:30 a.m. there is hardly anything left. Oh... well, the cold scrambled eggs. I forgot. Why doesn't Dodenhof react? There are only standard answers. But the furniture store is no longer worth a visit either. No sellers anywhere. Haaaloooo, anyone home??? Only enough for bed linen and candles. I wouldn't be surprised if the department store closes its doors soon... it's kind of a shame... I could list so many more things, but who's going to read it all ;-)

It couldn't be more miserable. Seldom eaten so badly. Fries cold and disgusting, schnitzel pressed and nasty in taste. Spätzle was greasy and nasty, onion roast was a tiny steak with canned fried onions. Then it's better to go to McDonald's.

It couldn't be worse! Staff who don't understand you, unfriendly and simply listless! Food was poor, Jägerschnitzel was ordered, schnitzel came. Add hunter sauce on top. Fries lukewarm Jägerschnitzel lukewarm partly cold! Conclusion: last time at xxllutz.

The friendliness was subterranean, the food was lukewarm and there were no cranberries with the Cordon Bleu. Rarely have I been served so badly. The drink prices are definitely too high. €6.90 for a 0.75l bottle of water is outrageous

Service can't do anything about it and is naturally frustrated when they have to hand out such unattractive products to the guest. The ambience has always been good, should be cleaned a little better, especially when you look in the corners or at the ceiling; everything is bearable, BUT: The food is now really bad. I have known Dodenhof for 30 years now and have to say that this restaurant used to be good and people enjoyed going there. Now it has been badly managed, completely against the general nutritional trend, hardly any vegetables left, the salad bar doesn't deserve the name and the product quality is really the lowest level! I wanted to have a schnitzel yesterday... - terrible! It stank, the fries were like old pieces of wood and the so-called "Bavarian Cream" was a chemical mess offered in a toothbrush glass that somehow tasted like cream stiffener powder... simply nasty. There are hardly any sugar-free drinks other than water and they cost an outrageous amount. - What does the management of such a big house think? That customers no longer notice anything? In addition, the reviews, which are almost all negative, are only responded to with text modules created by some AI... Unfortunately, those responsible don't seem to care at all... And it's not even cheap... Really sad! If old Mr. Dodenhof knew that...shame on you! Those in charge should really spend a week there incognito with their families... If they were decent, they would probably give up their post or think about their job thoroughly by asking themselves why such a big house couldn't It is possible to employ a good, experienced and motivated chef with a decent budget who will bring the shop a good reputation.

Deliberately ruined. Shame on you! That was the last meal. The rooftop restaurant used to be so wonderful and now it's a shadow of its former self and expensive too! You couldn't eat the schnitzel. It smelled and didn't taste good at all. The salad was bland and there were no vegetables at all. The side dishes are also terrible! Never again!

Seldom eaten so badly. A few weeks ago we tried breakfast and it was okay... But today lunch... you can eat better in every canteen. The service at the counter was totally overwhelmed. Price-performance ratio underground. We had veal liver with puree, sauce and onions and fish fillet with bacon potato salad. I had to wait a long time for the liver, but if it had at least tasted good, I would have been okay with it. But the mashed potatoes were cold and were only warmed by the quite tasty gravy. The liver was okay. My husband's fish fillet was the height of tastelessness. The potato salad was too sour and too warm and I didn't like it at all. Everything was done pretty carelessly. We probably won't come back again... The one star is because it is only a self-service restaurant...

Breakfast buffet was delicious except for the scrambled eggs, which were half raw. Unfortunately very unfriendly staff (except the nice lady at the checkout who has been there for ages). The seating and armchairs were very dirty/stained. The chair seat cushions also had the same problem. But the most negative thing is the arrogant and unfriendly behavior of the staff. If they don't feel like it, they should stay at home.

Very expensive, restaurant prices are charged that are disproportionate to the food. It's not worth the money. For the Jägerschnitzel with fries (€12.90) there is only a small ladle of sauce, more sauce only for an additional charge of €2.70. At least the schnitzel was nice and big and tasted good. The fries were only lukewarm. A bag of ketchup costs €0.80. Kids schnitzel with fries €6.50. Drink prices outrageous. Little one Soft drink 0.3l for €3.80! The service at the food counter was very unfriendly. The positive thing is that there is a large play area with a slide for the children. The roof garden restaurant can't even begin to compete with Ikea, where you can eat cheaper and better and get your fill of drinks for little money. We cannot recommend it.

It can't get any worse. On January 30th, 2024 we visited the roof garden again after a long time. A Jägerschnitzel with fries was ordered. I've never eaten such a bad schnitzel. Here is my rating: Schnitzel had been on display for a long time (not much public), thick, greasy breading, pressed meat, so not a real schnitzel, a molded meat schnitzel. Parts of the schnitzel consisted only of breading. The supposedly fried bacon was partly light and visually unreasonable. You don't put something like that on a schnitzel. Either fried crispy or not at all. The fries were satisfying. The edge of the plate was chipped, making the defect visible to the meat seller. You never serve a plate like that to a customer. The risk of injury was quite likely due to the sharp-edged area. We verbally expressed our complaint to the saleswoman and returned half the plate. We were not offered a refund of the purchase price. Conclusion: If we look at individual recessions, we have to realize that we are not the only complainants. Other customers have already made negative comments about the food, including the schnitzel. We accuse the managing director of the roof garden of inaction. Apparently nothing has been done to date, or people don't read the recessions. He alone bears responsibility. For 12.50 euros you can expect a reasonably reasonable meal. The manager has a duty to ensure that the food is at least somewhat ok, i.e. he should check regularly (maybe even try it himself). The employees are not to blame. You should also adapt the kitchen to the number of visitors. During the week, the furniture store and the roof garden are not very busy. Of course things look different on Saturdays. We will no longer visit the roof garden. A little tip: The Italian restaurant downstairs at the entrance is recommended.

There is no bacon to be found next to sesame fillet. 3.Tray cakes NOT RECOMMENDED. 4. Nausea shortly after eating and when we got home we got diarrhea from eating!!! Das Essen war enttäuschend. 2x Rumpfsteak, seltsame Konsitenz, alles andere als lecker. Bratkartoffeln einfach, trocken, kaum angebraten. Auch das Schweinefilet, nicht das Geld wert. Insgesamt eine Zumutung. Ein Viertel des Preises wäre dem entsprechend und wir würden hier dennoch nicht wieder essen.

Für über 30€ schlechte harte Fleischqualiät und wenig Sauce. Einmal und Nie wieder.

Liebes Team, was ihr hier macht ist nicht nachhaltig. Mein Mann und ich hatten soeben jeweils ein großes Frühstück. Das bedeutet 20 Teile dürfen wir nehmen- haben wir bezahlt, dürfen wir nur noch Kaffee nachholen. Kein Obst, Joghurt oder eine fehlende Scheibe Wurst für die letzte Brötchenhälfte, die vergessen wurde. Das ist für jeden Gast eine Einladung, die 20 Teile aufzuladen und wenn man satt ist, dann landet es halt im Müll. Wir sitzen noch hier und beim Rundblick auf die Nachbartische fallen uns zu viele Reste auf die nicht benutzt wurden. Ein No Go und deswegen muss zwingend nachgebessert werden. Bei allem Verständnis dafür, dass es früher Gäste gab, die das Buffett ausgenutzt und mehrmals nachgeholt haben um ihre Tupper zu füllen, aber das darf nicht die Konsequenz sein. Vorschlag: Die Anzahl der Teile vom Buffett müssen auf dem Bon stehen, damit man nach Vorzeige bei der freundlichen Kassiererin noch was nehmen kann, (vorausgesetzt man hatte noch keine 20 Teile) wenn man noch ein wenig hungrig ist. Ich hoffe, ihr bessert hier nach. Ich hatte 14 Teile, hätte gern noch etwas Obst mit nem Schlag Joghurt genommen, darf ich aber nicht... Schade, dass ich das vor dem Frühstück noch nicht wusste! Ganz netter Ort, das Essen jedoch ist billigstes Kantinenessen, es hat nichts geschmeckt, bis auf das Croissant, das war lecker. Die Auswahl ist so geschrumpft, nächstes mal geh ich zum Bäcker unten .

2mal Pommes mit Currywurst gekauft.Die Currywurst war alles andere als heiß. Geschmacklich ...ging gar nicht. Einen Sitzplatz mussten wir erstmal suchen,nicht das es so voll war ,nein,die Tische kleben und waren verschmutzt. Also,wir gehen dort nicht wieder etwas essen.

Heute nach jahren das erste mal wieder dort gewesen, das dachgarten Restaurant ist wirklich nicht zu empfehlen was das essen betrifft.. Aber auch nichts von den tellern die wir hatten (schnitzel, salat, pilzsosse...) hatte irgendwie geschmack, sehr schade, denn gute 30 €ist auch nicht wenig dafür 🤔(für 2 Personen) Alles stehen gelassen, und selbst der kaffe war kein kaffee, soooo schade

2x den Fisch genommen. Fisch nicht richtig durch,geschmacklos, einmal und nie wieder !! Beschwerde beim Küchenchef, der bedankt sich nur fürs "Bescheid "sagen, sonst keine Nachfragen über den Grund der Beanstandung. Leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Oh je, nie wieder ! Das war mit großem Abstand das schlechteste Schnitzel was ich in den letzten Jahren mal gegessen habe, und viel kann man da eigentlich nicht falsch machen. Nix los im Restaurant, es war 14:30 Uhr. Der Herr hinter der Essenausgabe hatte kein freundliches Wort über, unsere Bestellung wurde ohne Kommentar aufgenommen und der Teller wurde mit dem Schnitzel, der "Jägersoße" und den billigsten dünnen Pommes beladen und auf den Tresen gestellt. Keine Ahnung wie lange dieses Schnitzel schon warm gehalten wurde, es war furztrocken und ohne Geschmack. Die Soße war nicht genießbar weil sie total Sahne überladen geschmeckt hatte und leider auch nicht gewürzt wurde. Aus der Packung hätte sie besser geschmeckt. Auch an der Kasse wurde unser Essen stumpf abgerechnet und ohne ein freundliches Wort haben wir diese dann verlassen. Das Ambiente, wenn man es überhaupt so nennen sollte ist schlechter wie in einer Bahnhofskantine, nix gemütliches was hier benannt werden könnte. Das war mit Sicherheit unser erster und letzter Besuch dort. Für das Essen mit kleinem Salat und zwei Cola über 30 € steht in keinem Verhältnis zur Qualität.

Ein Stern für s Ambiente , werde maximal Kaffee trinken hier. Essen geht leider garnicht. Geschmacklos unterirdische Schnitzel ec. Currywurst lag wohl schon Stuuuuunden auf der warm halte Platte.

Personal sehr nett, kann man schön sitzen, aber es essen geht garnicht! Nichts hat Geschmack, sogar der Käse hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Wenig Brötchen Auswahl... kein Fisch. Keine salate... Sehr schafe war früher besser. Ich fahr auf jedefall nicht noch mal dort hin. Ach und unsere Gutscheine wurden auch nicht mehr angenommen obwohl dort kein verfallsdatum drauf strand... also konnten wir die weg schmeißen...

Haben heute dort gegessen, alle Gerichte waren lecker und gut angerichtet. Die Getränke sind etwas zu teuer. Das Personal war freundlich.

Wenn man sich die Reaktionen und Antworten dann von Xxxlutz durchliest,dann merkt man sofort ,Interesse gleich null irgendwas zu verbessern.

Wir haben ewig gewartet und das Essen kam dehydriert an, und wurde dann nur warm gemacht. Die Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich und unflexibel, für den Preis lohnt es sich definitiv nicht.

Preise zwar zum Teil in Ordnung, aber das was man dafür bekommt lohnt sich nicht. Ambiente ist nicht schlecht hat aber leider nicht meinen Geschmack getroffen. Der Service hingegen war einfach unterirdisch. Unglaublich unfreundliche Mitarbeiterinnen die man durch Roboter ersetzen könnte. Gleiche Flexibilität und sie halten die Klappe.

Wir waren zu zweit da und hatten das Frühstücksbuffet für 9,90€. Es ist mit 3 Brötchen und 20 Auswahlteilchen und Kaffee satt preislich okay. Leider ist das Essen nicht überragend. Wenig Auswahl im Aufschnittbereich. 2 Sorten Brötchen und noch Croissants. Ei, Rührei, Bacon, Joghurt. Etwas Gemüseauswahl und etwas Obstauswahl. Personal nett. So, warum gebe ich nur zwei Punkte? Es ist dort wirklich unsauber! Wir waren die ersten Gäste und die Tische waren krümmelig und beschmiert. Keinen Blick nach unten oder zur Seite wagen! Es gibt einen Raucherbereich. Dieser grenzt an den Spielbereich der kleinen Gäste! DAS GEHT GAR NICHT. Möchte man zum WC muss man ebenfalls durch die Dunstwolke der Raucher, denn diese öffnen ja die Tür zum rein und raus kommen. Zur Öffnung am Morgen stank es extrem nach kaltem Rauch! Nicht sehr Appetit anregend!

Pommes nicht gut, Schnitzel schmeckt nicht frisch. Hähnchenfilet in Ordnung aber Portion klein. Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert.

Sehr ordentlich und sauber. Nicht alles schmeckt. Ist aber ja auch Geschmackssache.

Es ist leider nicht mehr das was es mal war, früher habe ich da wohl gefühlt, das ist jetzt nicht mehr, schade.

Waren vor einer Woche dort gegen 14:30 Uhr essen. Cordon Bleu sowie Matjes. Das Cordon Bleu war dermaßen lapprig und wässrig, sodass es schon einer Zumutung glich, dieses überhaupt noch teuer zu verkaufen. Es kann doch nicht der eigene Anspruch sein, Speisen nach der Hauptstoßzeit, so lange warm zu halten, sodass diese um gottes Willen nicht vernichtet werden sondern noch an den Gast gehen. Genauso war es auch beim Matjes, dieser war ok. Aus der Packung halt. Aber die Speckkartoffeln waren so eine breiige wässrige Matschepampe. Diese glichen fast Babybrei. Eine Frechheit ist es dieses so anzubieten. Das Personal war so Semi gut gelaunt und von den Getränkepreisen will ich gar nicht sprechen. FAZIT: wenn man Kunden vergraulen will, alles richtig gemacht…. Nie wieder. Und wenn jetzt vom Inhaber die Antwort kommt…. Ist nicht unser Anspruch und bla bla bla….. wenn so wäre, würdest etwas NICHT an den Gast gehen. Habe das ganze auch bei der Familie und im Bekanntenkreis so geschildert. Gibt ein paar Kunden weniger. ;)

Personal dürfte etwas freundlicher sein. Teilweise sehr laut durch Kindergegröle

Wir waren die Woche bei Dodenhof shoppen. Zum Auftakt: Frühstück. Leider waren die Brötchen dermaßen steinhart, dass man damit die Restaurantfenster hätte einwerfen können. Mindestens zweimal aufgebacken. Und dem Kollegen vor Ort fällt zu meiner Beschwerde nur Folgendes ein: "Steinhart? Nehmen Sie sich neue." Der Rest war aber durchaus gut, auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Das Ambiente war bekannt. Ordentlich und sauber mit guter Aussicht. Die Bedienung am Thresen war schnell, aber routiniert unfreundlich. Der Matjes war lecker, sowie auch die Sauce. Die Bratkartoffeln waren lauwarm und dürftig portioniert. Eine Reklamation wäre bei der Warteschlange vor der Essensausgabe schwierig gewesen. Das Getränk - eine Orangenlimo - war extrem überteuert. Fazit: Sobald nicht wieder.

Hat nach Corona sehr nachgelassen. Wäre schön gewesen, wenn das Essen warm gewesen wäre.

Seit XXXL Dachgarten Restaurants ist das essen nicht mehr so lecker

Für uns ist Frühstück etwas anderes, es ist zwar reichlich Auswahl, doch diese schmeckt nicht. Der Kaffe ist kein Kaffe! Und Schmeckt ebenfalls nicht. Die Brötchen sind Pappige und harte Etwas ?¿ Was sind das? So schnell kommen wir nicht wieder. Vielleicht könnt Ihr als Team damit was anfangen und eventuell etwas ändern!

Schönes Dachgarten Cafe. Essen ist gut und gute Auswahl. Preis - Leistung okay

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Man muss allerdings bedenken dass es sich um Kantinen Essen handelt und daher kein Kellner Service da ist. Leider hatten wir bei der Bestellung das Pech dass diese nicht umgesetzt wurde. (Pommes statt Kartoffeln) und auf Nachfrage hin wurde nur gelächelt und erwähnt dass die Kasse dort hinten sei.

Sorry für diejenigen die Pech gehabt haben. Aber ich hatte mir einen Grillteller bestellt und war sehr zufrieden. Natürlich musste ich auch warten wir anderswo beschrieben wurde. Gut so. Es wurde nämlich das Fleisch frisch zubereitet (gegrillt). Der Garpunkt war dazu auch noch perfekt und der Geschmack war sehr gut. Viele vergessen, dass es einer Kantine mit freundlichem Ambiente ist. KEIN Restaurant und schon gar nicht ein Sternetempel. Daher war ICH sehr zu frieden mit meinem Gericht. Danke.

Auch ich stelle schon länger fest, dass die Qualität des Essens stark nachgelassen hat...schade. Meine heutige Bestellung hat das leider bestärigt. Ich hatte heute das Cordon Bleu... Was soll ich sagen....platt gewalztes Schnitzel, triefend von Fett. Das Cordon Bleu war aus der Fritteuse... Das Schnitzel war riesig. Ist ja so nicht schlecht, allerdings könnte man den Kunden darauf hinweisen, war wirklich sehr groß. Die Pomnes waren dann recht wenig (im Verhältnis) und überwürzt. Außerdem war das Cordon Bleu und die Pommes nur lauwarm. Salat ging so, hat auch schon mehr hergemacht die Salatbar. Leider ist das Essen nicht mehr wert als Pommesbude. Die Angrstellte war maulig. Da wäre ich doch lieber in das Eiscafé gegangen. Wirklich schade, wir sind gerne hier essen gegangen, wird wohl nun nicht mehr passieren so schnell.

Frühstück lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Ich gehe da nicht wieder hin.

Essen für schmales Geld. Bei den Getränke müsste man etwas an den Preis machen. Die Einrichtung ist wirklich nett.

Mußten lange suchen um einen sauberen Tisch zu finden. Kaum zu glauben wie sich einige Leute benehmen! Trotzdem sollte mal jemand vom Personal die Tische säubern. Das Essen war o.k. Die Preise für Getränke bei Selbstbedienung eine absolute Frechheit!!!

Bedienung freundlich und Ambiente schön. Aber Preis Leistung unverschämt. 3,70€ für Cappuccino ist OK aber wenn man dann die Größe sieht kann man nur Lachen...

Entspannt Frühstücken geht dort in der Woche. Preis-Leistung ist okay.

They should train their personnel (specifically the ones who are frequently in contact with customers, i. e. Cashiers) to be friendlier and nicer. Most of the time, I would experience underhanded rudeness and impatience. I ignore it most of the time as the ones behind the cashier are older ladies. Not an excuse though as they represent their workplace. They should do better. Food is OK. But you're not getting your money's worth. Not coming back anytime soon.

Wir wollten Frühstücken gehen, konnten online aber keine genaue Uhrzeit finden (nur die Restaurant Zeiten). Als wir dann kurz nach 11 Uhr an kamen, gab es dann schon kein Frühstück mehr. 😢

Völlig überteuert In meinen Augen. Viel zu wenig sauce zum schnitzel, pommes schmecken nach nichts. Ein kleines Wasser für 2,80 und ne Portion Ketchup für ,7 €. Ich komme nicht wieder hier her!!!

Anständige Portionen, der Koch sehr freundlich und ausgeglichen, seine Kollegin eher nicht. Kassiererin auch top. Restaurant sehr voll, daher Unruhe im Gastraum... 28.01.23
