This restaurant is nice and big. And the food is really great. The buffet is really amazing. And it's often refilled.

Price performance is very good. Tastes good

Always worth a visit. Unfortunately there is no internet in the area, a guest WiFi would be great but you can't have everything. Otherwise great parking lot and nice people. The best thing there is that the food tastes good and the price has increased but is still delicious. We will definitely come back.

As long-time customers (also buffet) we once again ordered and picked up food in the Himalayas after returning home for vacation. The food was always 1 a. But yesterday, on September 28th, 24, the food was catastrophic. The pork in both meals (different dishes) tasted old and extremely musty. They were big pieces, just cartilage. The whole food tasted spoiled and only the vegetables and sauce in the food tasted somewhat normal. Since we always order the same food, we can make a comparison here. Since the food was inedible, we had to throw it away. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat shows us that the selection is inadequate. Cartilage in this amount (not even a cartilage belongs in food!) shows us that unfortunately we can no longer be guests here! It's a shame!

Even though many people describe the place as having a car dealership atmosphere, the decor is anything but a car dealership. The large windows allow you to enjoy the brightness, perhaps it would be appropriate to do a little more work on the outside area. Food and variety, fresh and very tasty, rarely something is missing, it is usually added immediately! We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Were there for the first time and will probably stay there for the only time. Converted car dealership, dirty toilets, selection of food is okay, but unfortunately the quality is not that great. Unfortunately, the price is not commensurate with this.

Typical Chinese buffet restaurant. We were there at lunchtime, for 14.90 euros there was a plenty of choice of Chinese dishes and fried foods, a selection of desserts, a salad buffet and some sushi was also available. We liked it and the service was nice and used plates were cleared away immediately. If I'm in the area again, we'll be happy to stop there again. Lots of parking spaces in front of the door. In the evening there is also a Mongolian buffet.

The lunch buffet really wasn't all that great. I ate there 6 hours ago and I still feel bad. Hang fully into the ropes. Something's wrong, I don't even like my after-work beer as much as usual. 2 stars because the price for the food is really ok

If it were possible, I would have given this no star at all. The way guests are treated here is absolutely not okay. Guests who rightly complain and point out that the meat tastes like you're chewing on the sole of a shoe are almost shouted at in this shop in public and with no regard for human behavior. You are not willing to please. Instead, the motto here is stinginess is cool. You'll even be advised not to come back if you don't like the food. When even store employees say to guests, I can understand them. You are right, but our boss wants this! The amount if paying doesn't work. Because the EC card machine in the restaurant doesn't work and the chef attacks you verbally and physically is an impudence.

Unfortunately, the Himalayan is also getting old...The evening buffet is manageable...unfortunately instead of duck there is only chicken...food is very oily...staff is disorganized, overwhelmed and friendly is different...prices, well ...I would classify it as the lowest middle class... unfortunately it's no longer a shame...

We've probably eaten here 50 times over the last few years, but that's enough for now. We've gotten used to the fact that food is often only lukewarm. It was still mostly tasty. The fact that the prices have increased so much means that everyone else is doing that too. But this grumpy service had been noticed several times for some time. But the fact that a table was completely ignored and the gentleman from the service preferred to stand on his feet instead of taking the dishes from the table was new to us too. He ignored our table so much that we counted out the money and put it on the table to leave. That was our last visit.

A very tasty Asian buffet restaurant.

We had been eating there again for a long time. Extremely increased prices. They're nice until it comes time to pay. If you don't tip, you won't even say goodbye and you'll turn around straight away. We won't see you there again any time soon.

Today (May 25th, 2024) lunch in the restaurant "Himalaya" WHV-Heerstr.305 in 26125 Oldenburg. We were shown to the table in a friendly manner. We had decided on the lunch buffet, the selection of dishes is plentiful and the dishes were constantly "fresh" submitted later. The salad is crisp, the warm dishes were hot. We were satisfied all around, the toilets were clean, even for disabled people (1:15 p.m.). We were given a friendly farewell and wished we had a nice weekend. 👍D a n k e...

Good food with a large selection but totally unfriendly service. I called and reserved a table. Apparently it wasn't common practice in this packed shop and after being yelled at by the waitress I was allowed to choose any table from the few that were left. If you want to eat a lot and cheaply, then you've come to the right place. Cozy and beautiful somewhere else... that's a shame

I like to go there with my family including children. Children love it as it is always an experience for them - in addition to French fries, many sweets and desserts are included. There is also a play area. The food is really good, there's a huge selection (also sushi and counter for individual preparation!) and the staff is consistently very friendly. It is therefore a good address for a casual family meal and therefore very popular in Oldenburg. Nevertheless, it is so big that you can almost always get a table even without a reservation. It still has a relatively good price-performance ratio, although this has certainly become worse due to the price increases in recent years. But that's somehow normal, especially after the pandemic, etc. Payment by card now works again. The ambience is of course not comparable to an upscale restaurant, but everything is clean and tidy.

Were here again after a few years. The ambience was similar to back then and ok. The staff was very polite, courteous and kept asking if everything was ok. We found that to be very polite. I didn't like the food that much myself .The meat was too dry in every variation.The rice was too soft for me.But the dessert, the baked pineapple and bananas with vanilla sauce, was super awesome!Especially the dough around the pineapple is super tasty.My husband and my son were satisfied with the whole meal.

I didn't find the lunch buffet very appetizing. The meat was fried far too dark. The Peking soup wasn't tasty either. It's a shame that I got a tip from a friend who praised it very much.

So basically it is the best buffet restaurant in Oldenburg. The selection is good. Have increased the price to €23.90. Service was nice and quick. It was already very crowded shortly after 6 p.m. The only thing I didn't like at all was that there was only a measuring cup filled with water at the ice cream counter for the ice cream swab and after a short time it looked so unappetizing and certainly not hygienic is. Here a sink with a water sprayer (like in an ice cream parlor) would be much more hygienic.

The restaurant owner and the waiter were unfriendly when we arrived even though we had reserved space for a family with a child seat. We showed up with a table and there were still people there. And the waiter said he would clean it up first. I said there were still seats available at the back. He said we can't sit there OK! We had waited a long time with a table not yet finished being wiped clean. How strange did we get there even though I had already called and said I had a small 3 year old child. Of course we immediately went out to the Sushi House. It's much, much better there than here. I regret spending the time going there

The buffet style food is acceptable. We meet here with our club for our New Year's celebration. The food was better this year than last year, which also applies to the sushi selection. This time there was a lot of improvement. The service wasn't particularly friendly at first, but it improved over the course of the stay.

Wir gehen dort öfters essen und sind immer zufrieden. Das Buffet ist immer reichhaltig und wenn etwas fehlt wird schnell nachgefüllt. Letztens waren wir kurz vor Ladenschluss da und uns wurde direkt angeboten Speisen aufzufüllen, wenn etwas nicht mehr da sein sollte.

Das Essen/Buffet war sehr lecker. Eine riesen Auswahl. Ein großes Lob an den Service, das ganze Team ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider ist das Restaurant teilweise sehr renovierungsbedürftig und es könnte sauberer sein.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich ok, war aber teilweise etwas kalt. Die Auswahl ist ok, es gibt in Oldenburg aber Restaurants mit größerer Auswahl. Für diese Auswahl ist das Buffet recht teuer.

Das Essen ist einfach nicht mehr so qualitativ wie früher einfach nur noch auf Masse gemacht und nicht gut. Wenn man das anderen Restaurants vergleicht ist das einfach kein Ort wo man hingehen sollte um asiatisch oder chinesisch zu essen wie auch immer. Ich kann es wirklich nicht mehr empfehlen

Die Qualität des Büffets entspricht was man für 19 € erwarten kann. Es war trotzdem lecker, große Auswahl und es wurde unermüdlich aufgefüllt. Der Service war gut. Weniger Plastik würde dem Ambiente gut tun.

Das Buffet Essen ist immer wieder ein tolles Erlebnis, auch wenn die Getränke echt teuer sind. Vorsicht aber bei Sonntagen: Da kostet es pro Person fast das doppelte. Ist aber eigentlich ganz nett für einen Abstecher ins Industriegebiet!

Es war wirklich sehr schön,das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr bemüht.wir kommen wieder.

Große Auswahl am Buffet. Man kann sich auch frisch was braten lassen. Meiner Meinung nach haben aber Froschschenkel dort nichts zu suchen. Preis ok. Service ist freundlich.

Waren früher sehr gerne Dort aber in den letzten Jahren wird das essen immer schlechter beim live cooking wird alles in Öl ertränkt und nicht mehr durch gebraten das normale Buffet ist sonst in Ordnung.

Schöner Platz zum Sitzen in der Fußgängerzone

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe im Restaurant Himalaya zum Mittagsbuffet. Wer hier nichts findet, der ist selber schuld. Die benutzten Teller wurden immer zeitnah abgeholt und am Buffet wurde alles immer wieder frisch aufgefüllt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Alles super, wenn ich nochmal in der Gegend bin immer wieder gerne.

Alles sehr sauber. Buffet sehr lecker. Wurde immer nachgefüllt. Es gab nie leere Bleche, obwohl der Laden sehr voll war... nach jedem Gang war der leere Teller abgeräumt.

Ist halt ein Buffet wie überall und die Speisen von der Karte reißen einen auch nicht vom Hocker. Das Restaurant ist sauber incl. Toilette.

Schade was aus diesem Fresstempel geworden ist. Personal ist so unfassbar unfreundlich geworden. Das Essen stagniert und die Geschichte mit der Kartenzahlung, das geht so nicht :) Laut meiner heutigen Erfahrung und das war definitiv meine Letzte, möchte der Chef keine Kartenzahlung mehr anbieten, "er sei dagegen." Wackelpudding sollte nicht sauer schmecken, Personal sollte freundlich und lösungsorientiert sein, man lässt keine Kinder als Pfand im Restaurant und die Familie sollte nach dem Essen kein Durchfall bekommen.

Im Rahmen einer Betriebsratssitzung haben wir die Mittagspause im Himalaya verbracht. Ich will mit gar nicht über das Ambiente beklagen, Abfütterung ist angesagt, gemütlich geht anders. Das Essen war o.k., es wurde zeitnah nachgelegt und heiss war es auch. Es wäre auch sehr schön, wenn das Kartenlesegeät nach gefühlten zwei Jahren mal wieder funktionieren würde. Ich möchte keinen Vorsatz unterstellen, aber in der heutigen Zeit wird eine handgeschriebene Rechnung weder von der Buchhaltung unseres Arbeitgebers, geschweige denn vom Finanzamt akzeptiert werden.

Für so eine Masse an Plätzen schmeckt das Essen recht gut. Seltsam finde ich, dass eine Kartenzahlung seit Monaten nicht möglich ist. "Geht nur bar, leider!" ...

Joa, ist auch nicht mehr so das Gelbe vom Ei. Seit gefühlt zwei Jahren ist das Kartengerät "defekt", ich bin mir mittlerweile sicher, dass es niemals wieder funktionieren wird. In 2023 keine Kartenzahlung anzubieten in so einem Restaurant ist halt richtig unangenehm. Konnten gerade so das Essen für vier Personen in bar bezahlen. Geränke haben wir dadurch nicht bestellt. Alles in allem waren wir eher enttäuscht. Das war vorerst der letzte Besuch.
