Xinh City Vietnamese Cuisine in Paderborn

After a stroll through Paderborn, we stumbled upon this place by chance. The service was super friendly. The food was delicious.

Very tasty food for an extremely reasonable price. A top-notch main course for €10! That's too cheap for the quantity and taste. The spring rolls and summer rolls appetizers were very tasty and fairly priced (2 summer rolls and 4 spring rolls for €6 each, respectively). The main courses were absolutely fantastic. The highlight of my dish (fried noodles with chicken and vegetables) were the finely grated and wonderfully seasoned peanuts. I love peanuts in Asian food, and these were amazing. The very friendly waiter/chef was all alone at lunch and still managed a good job. The atmosphere in the restaurant is good. The restrooms could be improved a bit.

The food was okay. The pho wasn't bad, but it didn't taste like the original Vietnamese food. It didn't have any cinnamon, star anise, or cardamom. Unfortunately, the beef was very rubbery and rather undercooked. Fresh lemonades were delicious, and the service was attentive.

Hey, Two-course takeaway, very friendly staff. Chicken with peanut sauce, simply amazing. Chicken with mango sauce, very tasty. Appetizers, delicious, nothing to complain about. We'll definitely be back.

Very good food for little money

We love Xinh City! ❤️😋 There are authentic and super tasty Vietnamese dishes here and a very good selection of tofu for vegan/vegetarian guests. Even if they aren't on the menu, there are often delicious dessert creations - just ask. The restaurant is cozy and lovingly furnished (the murals are painted by yourself😯) and the service is courteous and fast. An absolute asset to Paderborn and highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent all around. The food is consistently incredible. The service people are so sweet. The food also comes out very quickly. Been here a few times and every time I can’t wait to come back!

The restaurant is centrally located and easily accessible. Just a few minutes' walk from the city center. You can sit both inside and outside. The interior, however, seems a bit dated; the bathroom in particular could use a refresh. The drinks were very tasty and the summer rolls were also good – although they were quite small, which makes the price seem a bit high in comparison. Unfortunately, my soup didn't really impress me. It had a bland flavor; I personally wouldn't recommend it. Other dishes, however, were well received by our group. The service was really very friendly and helpful. Kudos for that! Convenient: They serve lunch from Tuesday to Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. One small criticism: The tables outside were very wobbly – we had to adjust them ourselves because a drink almost tipped over. A little more attention from the staff beforehand would have been appreciated. Overall, a mixed impression – friendly service, delicious drinks, but also a few weaknesses. Personally, I think there are better restaurants.

The food was average. The vegetables and rice at the snack bar tasted exactly the same. Unfortunately, there were communication problems with the waitress because she barely understood German. Once, instead of a glass, a whole bottle of wine arrived. After much explanation, luckily, only the glass was brought. And the wrong dish was served, but we didn't say anything else. When you don't even understand the numbers, ordering is very difficult. We didn't get any cutlery either, so I went and got it myself...

Very friendly service, delicious food in large portions.

It was pure luck I stumbled on this restaurant and by all means this probably is the best Thai restaurant I have visited in a looong time. True hidden gem. It is only pity I missed it before. The portions are more than generous but the quality was just perfect and unbelievable tasty. I was with 2 small kids and they eat everything despite portions being prepared for adults:) The final icing on the cake was the lady who served us. Top class service and hospitality.

Very tasty. We had a vegetarian bowl with tofu and noodles and spicy chicken with vegetables. We also had two homemade iced teas. Instead of lime, we used lychee, which was also delicious.

I’ve walked past this place countless times over the years and never expected the food to be as incredible as it was. Our visit was completely spontaneous. We hadn’t booked ahead, and luckily, there was just one table for two left in an otherwise packed restaurant. I ordered the TOM XAO (prawns) and my wife had the COM VIT (duck). Both dishes were absolutely delicious, easily the best Asian cuisine I’ve had here in Paderborn. Everything was served piping hot, made with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Six of us arrived at the restaurant five minutes before the stated opening time without a reservation and easily got a large table. Five minutes later, all the other tables around us were also occupied. That's probably a good sign! The service was fast and very friendly. We got the menu, chose our food, and immediately had our drinks at our table. We only waited a little longer for the food. And it was really, really good! Be it soup, a bowl, rice with fried chicken in various variations, or even rice noodles. We all had something different and were all very satisfied. The portions were also really large, so we couldn't finish two dishes and, of course, the leftovers were given to us as a "doggie pack." All this at a surprisingly fair price. However, we couldn't pay by card—as promised by the sticker on the door. Cash is real. Or via PayPal. That worked without any problems—provided you have PayPal on your phone. Otherwise, you'll have to run to the nearest ATM, whether you like it or not. And according to the map, they're all at least a 6-minute walk away. So have PayPal or cash ready. The EC Cash symbol should be removed from the door.

Typical local cuisine with very good service.

Anyone who likes Vietnamese cuisine will become a regular here. The summer rolls are highly recommended as a starter, and the accompanying dip is simply delicious. The dishes are available in vegan versions and are just waiting to be tried. The couple who run the place are totally dedicated and strive to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay. They truly succeed. A clear recommendation!

The owner said he lived in Korea for 10 years. I really enjoyed the food here, and he knows how to make kimchi, so he put it in a container for me to take home. They are so friendly and delicious that I want to come again when I visit Paderborn. Es schmeckte sehr lecker :)) vielen Dank!

We came here based on the good reviews and were disappointed. The summer rolls seemed very bland, the main courses with a greasy sauce, hardly any vegetables and all with the same iceberg lettuce. The waitress couldn't speak or understand German (I had a question about a dish). My girlfriend got the wrong food. The best part was the decoration (and the iced teas were delicious too). But we probably won't come back, there are better Vietnamese in Paderborn. Too bad!

This is one of those places that you find and you say “wow” after each bite. The really nice staff combined with an incredibly flavorful food results in a hidden gem in Paderborn. A must visit. And for the price, the portion is well worth it.

I have eaten Pho Ga many times, in Vietnam and restaurants in Germany. This version was not edible. A bland broth with tasteless meat cut too thick. Add a few leaves of Koreander. Otherwise no ingredients whatsoever. I didn't eat it because it really didn't taste good. And €16 is a disgrace for it.

Delicious dinner and the menu translated into German was quite amusing.

The food was OK, but not a revelation. The price was way too high, 17.50 euros for simple chicken with pasta and vegetables or even just vegetables is excessive. I get this in Cologne, freshly prepared and super tasty for 9.50 euros. There is probably a lack of competition in PB. The service understood in neither German nor English that I didn't want peanuts. The floor stuck and squeaked.

We only discovered Xingh City at the beginning of 2024 and learned to love it. Mega delicious vegan dishes, fresh ingredients, fresh and homemade tofu as well as various homemade iced teas... and an incredibly naturally friendly owner whose recommendations have been right so far. The waiting times are very entertaining and the atmosphere is typical of the country. We like it very much!

We go there regularly as a couple or in groups, for us it is one of the best three restaurants in Paderborn. There are very nice and courteous staff and really VERY GOOD FOOD. One of the hot spots in Paderborn for vegans with homemade tofu! Vegetables always crisp and fresh, everything cooked to perfection. From mild to aromatic to spicy, excellent dishes of the best quality 👌 But please call and reserve, because Xinh City is almost always full!

The food and drinks are way too expensive. We specifically ordered the food not to be spicy and had to return it because we couldn't eat it. We got a new meal but it was still spicy and therefore not for us.

If I could give zero stars I would. We asked if the menu we would like could be ordered non-spicy. We were assured that everything would go as we wished, because I was certain that I couldn't tolerate spicy food. The food came and it was very spicy, when we complained about this we were told we agreed that it might be a little spicy. But we got the food again and it was spicy again. I then left the restaurant and didn't eat anything else. In addition, there are already high prices for drinks and food such as some rice, vegetables and possibly meat.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and there was no information on the phone. Unfortunately I find it very unprofessional and poor performance given such reviews.

Food was very tasty and good. Unfortunately the food had to be moved from outside to inside and we were allowed to transport everything ourselves. The atmosphere is more student-oriented, but it was clean and pleasant. Service was friendly and checked from time to time to see if everything was OK.

Today we had to celebrate our son's graduation from high school and went to Xinh City for the first time based on multiple recommendations. What a gigantic end to our day today... From the first second you enter the restaurant to the moment you say goodbye: PURE WARMTH and HOSPITALITY. This house not only serves excellent traditional Vietnamese food, but also knows how to give guests a feeling of well-being. We were served by the owner and it was heartwarming to see how much passion she puts into her company, which was lovingly run by her parents for two decades. She showed us her own painting on the walls of her restaurant and told us how much value she places on traditional recipes and the quality of the goods when it comes to food. We were completely fascinated by the three different dishes and will definitely come here again. In matters: Hospitality, food, price performance, feel-good factor, quality, authentic ambience... All three of us give it a thumbs up. A very big recommendation to try this place... EXTRA CLASS RECOMMENDATION...

I came here specifically because of Pho Bo. I already knew the restaurant from a previous business trip. Now the soup: A1! Really extremely good! Those who like it spicier can ask for chili...for me the version served here is very good! The beef was very tender, the broth was well prepared and seasoned (with ginger, spring onions, etc.). And the portion: huge! Yummy! 👍

Used to be great, but the quality is a lot less now. Received something that doesn't look at all what was on the menu. Dull flavors, badly cut vegetables and did not look freshly made. Even the plates where different. Possibly changed owners, or the kitchen staff changed. No idea, but I won't come back. :(

This was always my favorite restaurant in Paderborn. The prices have increased significantly, which is fine. But the quality is not at all what it used to be like! They used to have beautiful plates, authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. Now I got the typical badly cut vegetables, bland flavors and definitely not freshly prepared meat. Very typical of Asian restaurants in Germany, but not at all what I am used to getting here. Maybe they have a different chef? I don’t know. Dissapointing.

Leckeres Essen und ganz toller Service. Von außen ein unscheinbares Restaurant. Wir haben Empfehlungen von der Dame bekommen, konnten unserer Gerichte anpassen, wie wir mögen, alles wurde uns möglich gemacht und angeboten. Selbst bei den Sommerrollen (wir waren zu 3. da) wurde uns angeboten 3 Rollen zu machen statt wie auf der Karte 2, sodass wir nicht 4 bestellen mussten. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend.

Xhinh City is truly a journey through Vietnam. The new touch of the restaurant is truly a success! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in Vietnam. The location and the murals are super beautiful and it showcases Vietnam. The food was super tasty and delicious! The super friendly staff is also impressive! Very accommodating, professional and friendly. The Xinh City is 100% recommended.

The Vietnamese food here is truly delicious and we love coming back again and again to enjoy the authentic flavors. Unfortunately, we found that the price-performance ratio no longer quite meets our expectations. Despite this, the quality of the food remains undeniably high, and we appreciate the restaurant's atmosphere and service.

Last night I had dinner here for the first time with friends who are regular visitors to Xinh City. I was absolutely thrilled! We were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. The food was very tasty and the menu was such that everyone could find something from meat to fish to vegetarian dishes. As I found out, even the tofu, which was superbly marinated, is made in-house. I can highly recommend Xinh City to anyone who loves good Vietnamese food and will definitely come here to eat often.

For me, Xinh City is the best restaurant in Paderborn. The service is always friendly, the portions are large and the food tastes excellent. The large selection of vegan dishes is particularly worth mentioning.

Fantastic service and incredibly good food! If you want to eat really well in Paderborn, you should definitely come here. I've probably been there 15 times and would like to visit more often. Of course, I understand some of the stressful circumstances of operation, we are all just human! :) Most of the time, however, you get great service and the food is traditionally prepared like in Vietnam and of absolutely the highest quality!
