Xinh City Vietnamese Cuisine in Paderborn

Wir waren leider ein wenig enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte ist leider unübersichtlich, da viel von Hand geändert oder eingefügt wurde. Da einige Speisekarten unterschiedlich Änderungen beinhalten, kann es passieren, dass man leider das falsche Gericht erhält. Geschmacklich war es okay, hatte aber nur wenig mit den hier geposteten Bildern gemein. Preislich ist das Essen für die Qualität etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Das Ambiente ist überholungsbedürftig. Das Personal ist aber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male da und sind jedesmal begeistert. Sehr lecker, frisches Gemüse genau passend gegart. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab viele vegetarische Gerichte zur Auswahl. Die Getränke haben uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Außerdem war die Atmosphäre entspannt und der Service freundlich. Wir kommen gerne nochmal vorbei ☺️

Bún Cá (Fischnudeln) 😋 So leckere Fischnudeln mit Ananas, Tomaten und frischen Kräutern findet man selten. Der Mangotee passt hervorragend dazu. Eine Spezialität aus Nordvietnam, die man unbedingt probieren sollte!

Die vietnamesische Fischnudelsuppe ist köstlich, und das Getränk sieht sehr schön aus. Jeder sollte dieses Gericht probieren.

Sehr guter Service mit sehr nettem Personal. Schönes Ambiente. Das Essen und die selbstgemachten Limonaden sind sehr schmackhaft.

Ein anständiges, authentisches Lokal mit sehr freundlichem Service.

Richtig leckeres Essen und super Service!

Das Ambiente und die Gastfreundschaft waren gut. Das Pho Xao hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, das Pho selbst war aber nicht so lecker. Die Brühe im Pho war ziemlich geschmacklos. Eine Portion ist für eine Person absolut ausreichend! PS: Ich war am nächsten Tag dort und habe noch einmal Pho Xao bestellt.

Das Essen ist großteils gut bis sehr gut. Ich hatte den Fisch mit Gemüse und das war wirklich lecker, wenn auch etwas zu scharf für ein Fischgericht - aber das ist mein Geschmack und steht auch in der Karte. Was aber wirklich schlecht war, war der Service. Extreme Wartezeiten oder stückweise "Lieferung" müssen auch bei voller Auslastung nicht sein. Das Ambiente ist OK, aber nicht authentisch oder besonders.

Mehr als enttäuschend! Wir haben nach dem Betreten der Lokalität gesagt, dass wir einen Gutschein haben, diesen gezeigt und gefragt, ob dieser noch gültig ist. Es hieß ja. Das Essen schmeckte leider nicht mehr soo gut wie früher. Kalter Reis, viele Kartoffeln im Gericht, um vermutlich an Gemüse und Fleisch zu sparen. In der Beschreibung stand aber nicht drin, dass die Gerichte Kartoffeln enthalten. Als wir dann bezahlen wollten, kam die Überraschung! Unser Gutschein wurde nicht akzeptiert, mit dem Hinweis, dass der Besitzer gewechselt hätte. Daher haben wir ja auch zu Anfang gefragt, die Antwort lautete, dass die Frau keine Ahnung hätte. Der Gutschein lag die gesamte Zeit auf dem Tisch. Der Chef selbst, der uns das Essen serviert hat, hat den Gutschein gesehen und nichts beanstandet. Das Wort "Kulanz " war dem Inhaber gar nicht geläufig. Er wurde unfreundlich, laut und sprach von Polizei! Auf die Frage hin, ob ihm Kundenbindung wichtig sei, antwortete er "Nein, egal".

Das Hauptgericht war lecker und die Portionen waren großzügig. Der Nachtisch war den Preis jedoch nicht wirklich wert, der Mochi war nicht sehr weich und die Menge eher klein. Außerdem war die Kommunikation mit der Kellnerin etwas schwierig aufgrund von Sprachbarrieren.

Ich habe vegetarische Frühlingsrollen mit Nudeln bestellt, aber ein Gericht mit Hähnchen bekommen. Da vegetarisches Essen für mich sehr wichtig ist, war ich darüber sehr enttäuscht. Leider werde ich nicht noch einmal hier bestellen.

Einfach nur super lecker! Sehr nette Bedienung und die Ente mit der pikanten Sauce war einfach großartig. Alle anderen am Tisch waren auch sehr zufrieden mit ihren ausgewählten Speisen, deshalb auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Ich habe der Kellnerin schon mehrmals gesagt, dass ich keinen Koriander essen kann, trotzdem war welcher in meiner Suppe. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sie nicht versteht, was ich gesagt habe, und nur „ja ja“ sagt.

Bestes Restaurant in Paderborn. Jedes Mal sehr lecker. Große Protionen, top Qualität, super gewürzt. Kann den vietnamesischen Kaffee zum Nachtisch besonders empfehlen.

Wir waren am 09.01.2026 hier essen. Das vietnamesische Essen war insgesamt gut. Die Speisekarte ist eher klein, dafür merkt man aber, dass die Gerichte sitzen – kein überladenes Angebot, sondern das, was sie können. Service ist freundlich und zuverlässig, Preise sind absolut fair. Die Atmosphäre reißt es allerdings nicht raus: Einrichtung und Ambiente wirken etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das wird durch die nette Art des Services teilweise kompensiert, bleibt aber ein Minuspunkt. Unterm Strich: gutes, ehrliches vietnamesisches Essen ohne Schnickschnack, mit Abzügen beim Ambiente.

Achtung: Die Karte online ist nicht die aktuelle Speisekarte im Lokal, die Preise stimmen natürlich auch nicht. Hier wäre eine Aktualisierung dringend geboten. Zwar war der Service sehr nett und freundlich, aber das Essen hatte m.E. nichts mit vietnamesischer Küche zu tun. Die Frühlingsrollen schmeckten pappig und nicht frisch. Das Curry (Huhn) hatte einen extrem faden Geschmack, das Gemüse war sehr grob geschnitten und wenn man schon Kichererbsen verwendet, sollte man dies auch auf der Speisekarte vermerken. Die angebliche Orangen-Zitronengras-Sauce zu den marinierten Hühnerschenkel schmeckte nach Glutamat und hatte die entsprechend dickflüssige Konsistenz. Es schmeckte alles nach chinesischer Küche und auch das Ambiente mit dem üppigen Plastikschmuck, den dicken Buddhas und den seltsamen Lampions erinnerte an ein China-Restaurant der 70er Jahre. Hat da vielleicht der Koch oder der Inhaber gewechselt? Für uns bleibt es definitiv bei diesem einmaligen Besuch.

Wir lieben das Xinh City! ❤️😋 Hier gibt es authentische und super leckere vietnamesische Gerichte und für vegane/vegetarische Gäst:innen eine sehr gute Auswahl mit Tofu. Auch wenn sie nicht in der Karte stehen, gibt es oft köstliche Dessert-Kreationen - einfach mal nachfragen. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet (die Wandbilder sind selbst gemalt😯) und der Service ist zuvorkommend und schnell. Eine absolute Bereicherung für Paderborn und sehr zu empfehlen! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Unfortunately, I received the wrong food at the beginning, which wasn't a big problem for me. I told the waitress it was no problem and simply wanted to eat the dish that had already been brought to me, thankfully declining to exchange it. After a short while, however, she came back anyway, this time with the correct food, and said that it was on the house in addition to the incorrectly brought dish. When I went to pay, though, I found both dishes on the bill. I briefly asked if this was a mistake, and she simply said I had to pay for both. I have never experienced such utter rudeness – it's completely unacceptable!!

We ate at your restaurant today and unfortunately had several problems. Firstly, my rice was very greasy. Secondly, my companion initially received the wrong dish. We said it was fine and we'd take it anyway. A few minutes later, we were finally brought the dish we had originally ordered – even though we didn't want it anymore. We also pointed out that we already had the other dish. The server then explained that one of the dishes would be on the house because it had been prepared incorrectly. However, when we went to pay, we were charged for all three dishes, so we ended up having to pay €50. When we asked why, we only received an embarrassed shrug in response. I find this practice truly outrageous. The food wasn't very good quality to begin with, and as students, it's very annoying for us to have to pay for a third dish that we didn't even want.

This was my first time here today. I'm very satisfied. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive. I'll definitely come back on my next visit to Paderborn.

Top restaurant if you want to eat Vietnamese food!

I ate there today, and overall, everything was really good, except for the drink. I ordered ginger tea, but they served me an iced tea instead. I clearly told her that I'm pre-diabetic and therefore can't drink anything too sweet. They still brought me the iced tea. Is my health less important than a drink?

I've eaten there a few times and I'm always impressed. The taste is amazing! The price/performance ratio is also right. The service is outstanding. I'd happily return :)

Very tasty dishes. My fish braised in vegetables was salmon! The spicy sauce was actually a bit hotter than usual, and the vegetables themselves weren't overcooked at all, but rather crunchy. My wife's tofu and my daughter's spring rolls on rice noodles were also excellent. They came with select drinks. Very friendly service! Everything was perfect! If we come back to Paderborn, we'll be back. 🙂😋

Very tasty food for an extremely reasonable price. A top-notch main course for €10! That's too cheap for the quantity and taste. The spring rolls and summer rolls appetizers were very tasty and fairly priced (2 summer rolls and 4 spring rolls for €6 each, respectively). The main courses were absolutely fantastic. The highlight of my dish (fried noodles with chicken and vegetables) were the finely grated and wonderfully seasoned peanuts. I love peanuts in Asian food, and these were amazing. The very friendly waiter/chef was all alone at lunch and still managed a good job. The atmosphere in the restaurant is good. The restrooms could be improved a bit.

The food was okay. The pho wasn't bad, but it didn't taste like the original Vietnamese food. It didn't have any cinnamon, star anise, or cardamom. Unfortunately, the beef was very rubbery and rather undercooked. Fresh lemonades were delicious, and the service was attentive.

Very good food for little money

Excellent all around. The food is consistently incredible. The service people are so sweet. The food also comes out very quickly. Been here a few times and every time I can’t wait to come back!

The restaurant is centrally located and easily accessible. Just a few minutes' walk from the city center. You can sit both inside and outside. The interior, however, seems a bit dated; the bathroom in particular could use a refresh. The drinks were very tasty and the summer rolls were also good – although they were quite small, which makes the price seem a bit high in comparison. Unfortunately, my soup didn't really impress me. It had a bland flavor; I personally wouldn't recommend it. Other dishes, however, were well received by our group. The service was really very friendly and helpful. Kudos for that! Convenient: They serve lunch from Tuesday to Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. One small criticism: The tables outside were very wobbly – we had to adjust them ourselves because a drink almost tipped over. A little more attention from the staff beforehand would have been appreciated. Overall, a mixed impression – friendly service, delicious drinks, but also a few weaknesses. Personally, I think there are better restaurants.

The food was average. The vegetables and rice at the snack bar tasted exactly the same. Unfortunately, there were communication problems with the waitress because she barely understood German. Once, instead of a glass, a whole bottle of wine arrived. After much explanation, luckily, only the glass was brought. And the wrong dish was served, but we didn't say anything else. When you don't even understand the numbers, ordering is very difficult. We didn't get any cutlery either, so I went and got it myself...

It was pure luck I stumbled on this restaurant and by all means this probably is the best Thai restaurant I have visited in a looong time. True hidden gem. It is only pity I missed it before. The portions are more than generous but the quality was just perfect and unbelievable tasty. I was with 2 small kids and they eat everything despite portions being prepared for adults:) The final icing on the cake was the lady who served us. Top class service and hospitality.

Very tasty. We had a vegetarian bowl with tofu and noodles and spicy chicken with vegetables. We also had two homemade iced teas. Instead of lime, we used lychee, which was also delicious.

A very delicious restaurant! I would definitely recommend it. The service is excellent, and I don't even need to mention the food, it's definitely an 11/10! Try it for yourself!

Six of us arrived at the restaurant five minutes before the stated opening time without a reservation and easily got a large table. Five minutes later, all the other tables around us were also occupied. That's probably a good sign! The service was fast and very friendly. We got the menu, chose our food, and immediately had our drinks at our table. We only waited a little longer for the food. And it was really, really good! Be it soup, a bowl, rice with fried chicken in various variations, or even rice noodles. We all had something different and were all very satisfied. The portions were also really large, so we couldn't finish two dishes and, of course, the leftovers were given to us as a "doggie pack." All this at a surprisingly fair price. However, we couldn't pay by card—as promised by the sticker on the door. Cash is real. Or via PayPal. That worked without any problems—provided you have PayPal on your phone. Otherwise, you'll have to run to the nearest ATM, whether you like it or not. And according to the map, they're all at least a 6-minute walk away. So have PayPal or cash ready. The EC Cash symbol should be removed from the door.

I’ve walked past this place countless times over the years and never expected the food to be as incredible as it was. Our visit was completely spontaneous. We hadn’t booked ahead, and luckily, there was just one table for two left in an otherwise packed restaurant. I ordered the TOM XAO (prawns) and my wife had the COM VIT (duck). Both dishes were absolutely delicious, easily the best Asian cuisine I’ve had here in Paderborn. Everything was served piping hot, made with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Typical local cuisine with very good service.

Anyone who likes Vietnamese cuisine will become a regular here. The summer rolls are highly recommended as a starter, and the accompanying dip is simply delicious. The dishes are available in vegan versions and are just waiting to be tried. The couple who run the place are totally dedicated and strive to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay. They truly succeed. A clear recommendation!

The owner said he lived in Korea for 10 years. I really enjoyed the food here, and he knows how to make kimchi, so he put it in a container for me to take home. They are so friendly and delicious that I want to come again when I visit Paderborn. Es schmeckte sehr lecker :)) vielen Dank!

We came here based on the good reviews and were disappointed. The summer rolls seemed very bland, the main courses with a greasy sauce, hardly any vegetables and all with the same iceberg lettuce. The waitress couldn't speak or understand German (I had a question about a dish). My girlfriend got the wrong food. The best part was the decoration (and the iced teas were delicious too). But we probably won't come back, there are better Vietnamese in Paderborn. Too bad!

This is one of those places that you find and you say “wow” after each bite. The really nice staff combined with an incredibly flavorful food results in a hidden gem in Paderborn. A must visit. And for the price, the portion is well worth it.

I have eaten Pho Ga many times, in Vietnam and restaurants in Germany. This version was not edible. A bland broth with tasteless meat cut too thick. Add a few leaves of Koreander. Otherwise no ingredients whatsoever. I didn't eat it because it really didn't taste good. And €16 is a disgrace for it.

Delicious dinner and the menu translated into German was quite amusing.

The food was OK, but not a revelation. The price was way too high, 17.50 euros for simple chicken with pasta and vegetables or even just vegetables is excessive. I get this in Cologne, freshly prepared and super tasty for 9.50 euros. There is probably a lack of competition in PB. The service understood in neither German nor English that I didn't want peanuts. The floor stuck and squeaked.

We only discovered Xingh City at the beginning of 2024 and learned to love it. Mega delicious vegan dishes, fresh ingredients, fresh and homemade tofu as well as various homemade iced teas... and an incredibly naturally friendly owner whose recommendations have been right so far. The waiting times are very entertaining and the atmosphere is typical of the country. We like it very much!

Xinh City is simply great and an absolute recommendation! In addition to many other dishes, the selection of vegan dishes is large and every dish we have tried so far tasted very good and is reminiscent of Vietnam. The service is attentive and the waiting time is also short.

We go there regularly as a couple or in groups, for us it is one of the best three restaurants in Paderborn. There are very nice and courteous staff and really VERY GOOD FOOD. One of the hot spots in Paderborn for vegans with homemade tofu! Vegetables always crisp and fresh, everything cooked to perfection. From mild to aromatic to spicy, excellent dishes of the best quality 👌 But please call and reserve, because Xinh City is almost always full!

The food and drinks are way too expensive. We specifically ordered the food not to be spicy and had to return it because we couldn't eat it. We got a new meal but it was still spicy and therefore not for us.
