Xin Chao - Taste of Vietnam in Frankfurt am Main

I recently ate at Xin Chao and it was a really great experience. The food was not only tasty, but also authentically Vietnamese – a real culinary highlight. I ordered the crispy duck with rice and it was absolutely delicious. The duck was cooked perfectly – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and wonderfully seasoned. The rice served with it was also excellent and went perfectly with the dish. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Her warm manner immediately made me feel welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy, and the decor combined modern touches with charming Vietnamese elements. In summary, Xin Chao offers tasty dishes, great service and an unforgettable dining experience. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Frankfurt.

I ordered very tasty food from the daily menu. 11€ and the portion was large. The jasmine tea was also recommended! I would also like to praise the conditions. You have to go out and climb stairs to get to the toilets. This could be difficult for people who are sick or have other disabilities.

My first Pho and sooooo delicious. It's worth coming if you're hungry, the portions are huge and come quickly and the prices are very good too! See you next time!

Simply amazing meals. I had the #11 and it was heavenly. The meat is very tender, the rice is wonderfully cooked, and the sauces / spices were so tasty! One of the best I’ve been too.

The banh xeo was salty, but the overall dish was good. The soup which I don't recall the name was very delicious as well. It is really hard to find banh xeo in this area so I am very satisfied.

Really enjoyed coming here to be my first Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Very local with a family cooking slow cooked meals. I had dessert and drinks and they were so sweet and so welcoming and I can’t wait to go back again. Definitely good for like a group of four and pears and a lot of people are drinking there eating alone eating group so thank you so much for the great service and definitely get the Thai mango sticky rice.

We ordered the Pho noodle soups and were very happy with our choice! We each received a large plate with side dishes (herbs, sprouts and lime) and even received a second lime wedge upon request :). The portions were large and the waitress was extremely friendly! Definitely worth recommending!

Food is very good. Pho Bo was okay, I've eaten better in Frankfurt. Service was slow so please allow 15-20 minutes more time.

I really like their food, but unfortunately the service isn’t good. You don’t really get recognized as a customer when you sit down, it takes forever until they take your order. I’ve been here 3 times now and every time I had the same experience. The restaurant was busy and it’s just one person working in service. It would just make sense to have an additional person working in service. I would love to come here more often, but they long waiting time and “bad service”, always make me think twice. I really hope this will change in the future :)

I visited for lunch. I had a rice noodle salad. The meat had a strong flavor, so it was okay even without dressing. It was good because I could eat vegetables too.

Very bad service!!! I would never go there again just because of the extreme unfriendliness. The food was already good, but I don't have to endure this unpleasant unfriendliness again. Sorry, there are enough other Vietnamese restaurants in Frankfurt for that

Very tasty food. You will not feel like in the heart of Ho-Chi-Minh city, but this is very decent European style Vietnamese kitchen. Bun Cha (with beef) was very good, with a lot of herbs. Spring rolls - very fresh, packed with veggies. But one of the most important feature of this place is service, you will feel like in the Vietnamese mama’s kitchen :). Don’t forget to tip (or she will remind you).

Unfortunately the food is average and way too expensive. The service is nice.

I was there with my girlfriend and we had a very good time. The food was excellently prepared. The soup in particular was very tasty. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. I will be happy to come back.

We came here on a recommendation. A clear menu with German explanations of the dishes was very helpful. The portions are oversized and the price is reasonable. Nevertheless, we managed various starters and the main courses. Freshly prepared, pleasantly seasoned with the additional option of “spicy”. The entire staff is very friendly and we laughed a lot.

Lunch happy hour 11EUR for several dishes which are great deals. The lady who owns the restaurant is very nice and kind. She recommended me a small soup dish as I said I’m not too hungry. It’s very delicious food, southern Vietnamese taste. I would recommend anyone who wanna try VN food nearby

Friendly and speedy service for sure. Food was ok. Just ok. Not 100% authentic (also Japanese soy sauce, Thai chili sauce, etc.). I would come back if that was the only one but there are so many in Frankfurt.

Pretty decent Vietnamese food with generous portions but nothing surprising either positively or negatively. So it may be an option when you get tired of sandwich, sausage, burger, kebab, pizza, or pasta.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in all of Frankfurt! We had ordered numbers 19 and 24. Food came quickly and warm. And the ingredients were fresh, everything was a wonderful interplay of flavors! I'm already looking forward to my next visit! The lemonades are also highly recommended. The owner was very friendly. I was there for lunch. The lunch menu offers about 10 dishes at a fairly reasonable price (up to €12 per dish). The restaurant is very busy at lunchtime. I had the duck in tamarind sauce with rice and vegetables. In terms of quality, there are better Vietnamese restaurants in Frankfurt. You can go there for a quick, inexpensive lunch. For a nice dinner I would go somewhere else.

Calm, modern, clean atmosphere. The homemade drinks were delicious and not too sugary and the tamarind duck was excellent. Fully recommended!

Very tasty food in a pleasant, quiet atmosphere.

The sushi was incredibly delicious; we devoured them all within five minutes. The waitstaff was attentive and executed their duties admirably. Towards the end, our waitress even tried conversing with us in our native language, adding a delightful touch. The wait for our order wasn't overly long, and everything looked beautifully presented. Definitely an excellent dining experience!

I was there once several years ago, recently I ate something there again... Since then I've been going there once a week, very tasty food, highly recommended.

The restaurant is relatively small (so not for larger groups) but up to 4-5 people can fit at one table. This is food is great! No question! The portions are generous. I only see room for improvement when it comes to service. You always have to actively draw attention to yourself if you want something else. I will come back!

Wirklich sehr gutes Essen, sehr gut, eine Empfehlung. Das Essen war für unseren Geschmack perfekt gewürzt, sehr harmonisch. Freundlicher Service. Im Inneren riecht es auch nicht allzu sehr, so das die Kleidung nicht noch Tage später danach riecht. Top

Nah am Städel - und hervorragend geeignet für eine Mittagspause nach dem Kunstgenuss: eine aufmerksame, Bedienung und leckeres Essen laden ein zur Entspannung. Wir kommen gerne öfters.

Das Essen war sehr ausgefallen. Geschmorter tofu in karamelisierter Soße mit Knoblauch, reichlich saisonalen Gemüse und Spezialreis. Die Portion war enorm groß, Preis-Leistung einfach super. Die pho mit Rindfleisch auch extrem gut! Tolles Lokal, sehr authentisch.

Das Essen war suuuuper! Sehr authentisch, lecker gewürzt, riesen Portionen und faire Preise noch dazu. Die Toilette im Hinterhof im Keller war etwas irritierend aber nettes Ambiente im Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Service. Must try: salzige Limonade. Sehr besonders im Geschmack, aber richtig gut. Uns wurde erzählt, dass man das aus fermentierten Limetten mit Honig herstellt. Außerdem hatten wir Bun und Pho - zwei Klassiker, die der Koch zu beherrschen weiß :) wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Meistens sehr schnell und lecker. Die mit Rindfleisch gefüllten Betelblätter (Bun Bo La Lot) kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Gerichte von der Mittagskarte sind zwar vergleichsweise günstiger aber auch etwas kleiner. Sollte man also mit großem Appetit dort hingehen, würde ich ein Gericht von der normalen Karte empfehlen.

Ich bin hier vorbeigekommen als Zugreisende mit wenig Zeit, wurde umso herzlicher empfangen und es wurde von dem sehr netten Personal möglich gemacht, dass ich ohne langes Warten mein Essen erhielt. Und dann war es auch noch wirklich lecker! Die Reisnudeln mit Tofu, Frühlingsrollen und Salat sind ja ein Gericht, das man häufig in vietnamesischen Restaurants erhält, aber selten hat es mir so gut geschmeckt wie hier. Auch der Nachtisch, Klebreis mit Kokoscreme und Mango war wirklich fein. Angesichts der Größe der Portion und wie voll einen der Reis macht, verstand ich auch den Preis von 8 Euro - das war kein Dessert, sondern ein süßes Abendessen. 😁👍 Ich komme gerne wieder!

Best Vietnamese I’ve had in some time: very good portion of the fresh greens and herbs that are the heat of this cuisine. Decent indoor& outdoor seating, this is a real gem.

Ich hatte die karamellisierte Tofu und das war die beste Soße, die ich seit langem gegessen habe und mich sehr an Vietnam erinnert hat. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker, fein, und großzügig. Wir sind nur durch Zufall rein, aber das war ein großes Glück für uns!

Great new restaurant on Schweizer Strasse. Best Vietnamese we’ve had in Frankfurt. We had the Pho and Salmon Bún Cá as main dishes and the mango sticky rice for dessert. Highly recommend!

We stumbled in here by chance. Maybe the best Vietnamesen food I have had in Frankfurt. We ate #22 and 24 (both tofu dishes) and the portions were huge and the tofu super tasty (22 is with a pepper sauce). Seems like family run as all of them were super nice.

Wir waren hier gestern schnell rein geflüchtet, weil es draußen etwas stärker am regnen war. Ein leckeres Pho war genau das richtige bei dem Wetter. Du hattest direkt das Gefühl, wieder richtig erwärmt gewesen zu sein und die nasse Kleidung wurde zur Nebensache. Der kleine, aber feine Laden ist sehr stilistisch und sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 👍🏻
