Mega Hot Pot in Frankfurt is the best in my opinion

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. The restaurant is in a prime location right next to the main train station, which makes it very convenient and easy to reach. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and were always attentive and helpful. What struck me particularly positively was that many Asian guests ate in the restaurant, which for me is a sign of the authenticity of the cuisine. The food was freshly prepared and the ingredients were special and unique. Despite the high outside temperatures of 30 degrees, it was pleasant in the restaurant. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. It offers authentic and high quality cuisine coupled with first class service in a very convenient location. Definitely worth a visit!

Ordered delivery and there was limited selections because we arrived in Frankfurt quite late. The food cost ~30 euros including delivery and tips, it didn’t have much within, just beef stripes, a handful of beef pieces, Yuba and cabbages. Plus it only had pure spicy flavor, no other flavor, I was only able to eat 1/4 of food (considering I can eat pretty spicy food usually). What a waste! Maybe dining in hot pot would be much better but don’t order delivery.

Celebrated Father's day here last week just with hubby and me and it was really overwhelming in a great way. It was an awesome dining experience. 😍 We'll surely comeback again with friends. It was fun! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Overpriced for little performance

Super delicious food and really super nice service! There are also enough options for vegetarians. Because the restaurant is on the first floor, the location at the main train station doesn't bother you at all. It's a little more expensive due to the ingredients, but it's definitely worth it.

Great hotpot restaurant! Ordering via iPads was super easy and the food came immediately. There wasn't much going on, so we were able to take a look at everything in peace. The selection at the buffet was huge and everything was fresh and tasty. I'd love to come back!

Very nice atmosphere very friendly staff. The environment and the music make you feel like you have traveled to Pakistan. The flavors are intense and spicy!!!

The best Szechuan hot pot in Europe! Just like in China! I love it! We were all very excited. And you can really order all ingredients from frog legs to Wagyo

There were three of us there and none of us had ever eaten anything like this before. We were warmly welcomed and given very friendly instructions. Service was great and the food was great too. As a loaner, I can unfortunately say less about the quality, but everything was prepared and garnished cleanly and with quality and everything was very fresh and clean. We were also helped with sauces and the choice of hotpot. The only tiny flaw was the height of the table and the benches, which were a bit too low and uncomfortable. but otherwise it was nicely decorated. I can borrow it and really recommend it, even if you think of a third-class restaurant when you look at the stairs to the entrance. Is it worth giving this a chance.

Overall the hotpot is pretty good ! But they mixed seafood sauce with the oyster sauce. My DIY sauce became too salty at the end !

I visited this restaurant today with a good friend and ordered hot pot, which we really enjoyed. The various dishes were of excellent quality. The service was very attentive and courteous and is second to none. We will come back!

If you are visiting Frankfurt and are craving for good tasty and authentic hot pot, start walking over towards the main train station. This hot pot place has beautiful decor and atmosphere, staff are super friendly, food choices are plenty and freshly sourced, and they have great wines to pair with your taste. I recommend the local Riesling. If you are lucky, as for the tables facing the train station. If you feel fancy, they have premium. grade Kobe beef from Japan and Australia.

Today was our first time at XiaoLongKan and it won't be the last time! Clean restaurant, nice ambience, great and friendly service, delicious food. We were newbies to hotpot and there was a great and understandable introduction. After ordering via tablet, the food was on the table within a few minutes. Everything was explained and we “newbies” were looked after - never intrusively. It was our daughter's birthday and there was even a present from the kitchen! Everything we tried was very tasty. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team for this great experience.

There were two of us there today and we chose the vegetarian hotpot with three different soups. Great selection of fish, meat & vegetarian ingredients. You can also choose the sauces at the bar. The waitress explained everything to us in detail and also gave us tips. Very attentive. Tastes very good. Unfortunately, additional ingredients are a bit too expensive, so the two of us paid €80 including drinks. But if you eat the hotpot with three or four people, it's totally fine!

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. We wandered around for 20 minutes to find a parking space. The situation can scare you as a family. The tables don't really invite you to eat. Way too deep that my feet can hardly move. The space is also too small for a family with a large selection. I don't think the price is justified for a few vegetables and meat. For 150 euros you can eat better.

Probably the best you can get in Frankfurt, however, I still prefer the one in Düsseldorf. It’s the same owner but somehow the good, the Ambiente was much nicer in Düsseldorf. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good but if I had a choice I would go to the other one :)

Friends have recommended this restaurant but it really exceeded my expectations. Amazing food, exceptional service and situated conveniently opposite from central train station. It is pricey but is ideal if you go big group to share.

Of course the area isn't the most beautiful but it's worth it! Service very courteous and attentive.

Wouldn't recommend. We were there with children and friends on Saturday. We were informed that we could only eat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. After 7:30 p.m. the employee reminds us every 5 minutes and at 7:50 p.m. our receipt was already printed out. Like an assembly line.

Fast and friendly service, direct location to the main train station on Kaiserstrasse. Accessible via stairs to the 1st floor. A bit expensive for my taste, €100 for two people, including one drink per person. We were full, the taste was okay, but nothing more. Next time we'll go to Pak Choi again.

Sehr nettes Personal und schönes Ambiente aber leider kamen wir beide danach nicht mehr von der Toilette runter. Wir haben Nudeln, Tofu, Gemüse, Shrimps und etwas Fleisch bestellt. Während des Essens wurde mir bereits schlecht und ich musste viel stehen lassen. Für fast 100€ gegessen und den Magen verdorben.

If you want to eat hot pot in Frankfurt, this restaurant is highly recommended! ! The portions are large and delicious, and the soup is flavorful and spicy enough. But the reservation service is really hard to describe

Ich hatte nur ausreichend, wenn auch leider nur Zeit, weil mein Anschlusszug Verspätung hatte und bin aufgrund der guten Bewertung aufmerksam geworden. Die Suppe war sehr schmackhaft und die scharfe Sauce sehr scharf aber hervorragend gut! Ich könnte mir vorstellen, bei einer der nächsten Fahrten bewusst über Mittag 2.5-3 h Pause einzuplanen und dann den Hotpot zu genießen!

It's only business for the lady boss. Came together with a tour group. The lady boss only service the tour leader. Asked her to help refill the tap water, i was given a stare and RBF! Not recommended as we paid not only for the food but also the service!

We were there on a Monday evening and had a table in a separate room. The restaurant was later busy and a reservation is recommended. It is located directly opposite Frankfurt Central Station, so it is easy to reach by public transport. The main entrance is a little hidden next to a cell phone shop, but is signposted. The guest room, which was renovated just a few years ago, is on the first floor. If you come by car, there are many parking garages nearby. We were in the Westend parking garage. Bright, clean and cheap. For me it was the first experience with a "hot pot". 3 different brews are offered in one pot. The individual dishes leave nothing to be desired. Fish, shrimp, meat, vegetables and mushrooms. If you like, also pig's feet and beef stomach. But you should pre-order this. EVERYTHING, really EVERYTHING, was of the highest quality. There is a rich sauce bar for dips. I can't say anything about the prices because I was invited. It was the perfect evening. Thanks.

Admittedly, the walk around the main station isn't pretty and doesn't smell good, but once you find the restaurant on the first floor, you'll be very positively surprised. The service is very attentive, as newbies the whole process was explained to us very well and we were given advice on the ingredients. Everything was very fresh and sufficient, we ordered 10 ingredients (mostly vegetables) and couldn't manage it. You can reorder at any time. We'll definitely come back.

Everything was actually okay until a cockroach fell from the ceiling onto our table. When we showed this to the staff, they frantically tried to downplay the situation. It wasn't a cockroach but another beetle. It was extremely rude that we were then accused of having planted the insect ourselves. Luckily there are surveillance cameras that can disprove this... I also order the health department, something like that doesn't work!

Good food. Good experience. Hot Pot is a good concept where you cook food in boiling broth of different spice levels right there on our table. It’s a bit of an expensive experience and you really have to know what to order. But overall, I loved it. This restaurant seemed quite authentic for the concept.

Yesterday I had HotPot with friends for the first time and no place would have been better than this one! When the staff found out that we were eating HotPot for the first time, they gave us recommendations, helped a lot and were generally very friendly and accommodating and made our stay very pleasant, we felt very comfortable. The food tasted really good. There is a huge selection of fresh vegetables and high quality meat. We also really liked the ambience. Rustic and traditionally decorated, the restaurant is very inviting and we will definitely come back!

We were guests with the family for our son's birthday. Before we started, everything important was explained to us. Our son was even served extra long noodles for an extra long life on the house for his birthday. The waitress showed the children how to mix the sauces. The food was very fresh, very tasty and very authentic - we felt very comfortable in the beautiful ambience and with the friendly staff. We'd love to come back, thank you for the great time. We had three different broths and the spicy one is very, very spicy. Otherwise everything was very fresh and super tasty. The handmade noodles are highly recommended! Make sure you make a reservation, it's always very busy!

We were after around 10 minutes. We waited at the stairs with an unfriendly tone and a condescending manner and were thrown out by the boss because we didn't make a reservation. You will not be welcomed in a friendly manner or not welcomed at all! In addition, our clothes now totally stink of food because there are no exhaust ventilation systems in this country. The broth is boiling on all the tables and the steam is literally in the air!

This Chinese hotpot restaurant is really worth discovering! The selection is large and is conveniently offered via tablet, ensuring a modern and efficient ordering experience. The ingredients were consistently fresh and of high quality. The sauce bar is particularly impressive, where you can put together your own sauce from a variety of ingredients - a big plus for individualists. The interior of the restaurant impresses with its authentic Asian design with attractive structures. The prices, although slightly higher, reflect the quality of the food and the overall experience. The staff acts well coordinated and contributes to a smooth process. Recommended for anyone looking for an authentic hotpot experience.

This was the worst restaurant experience so far! After the visit I had bad diarrhea and nausea (with vomiting) since it was the only thing I ate that day, it could only be because of that! I've been to the restaurant twice so far, the first time I was with my parents and the sauces and side dishes cost €3.50 per small plate, but when I was there with my Chinese friend the whole thing was over, otherwise I was honest felt a bit ripped off. Completely different service. Wherever we were seated at a table (which was reserved for us), we were asked to get up after 15 minutes because everyone else came and they wanted to give the table to them. Ultimately I am very very disappointed. The price is also way too high for little food! Vegetables and noodles also arrived before the hotpot, which is very, very strange. We then had to wait 20 minutes for the hotpot to arrive! We also picked up two oranges and one of them was moldy!!! (Unfortunately I can't add videos here!!) I wouldn't recommend it at all!!

Definitely would give a 0 star if I could, why would these kind of chinese restaurants even exist? First, as we have already seated as 2 person, a waitress came and asked us to move to another table because they got 3 guests coming. While I understand the need for flexibility, the manner in which we were approached was far from courteous. Second, they treated ppl differently based on their ethnicity, while my Portuguese gf brought her family here, they were charged 3.5€ for small dishes. However, when I was there, they told me they’re free. (This inconsistency is unfair and misleading) Third, the oranges they served have mold on it. This is not only unacceptable but also tarnish the reputation of chinese food. Fourth, my gf has a diarrhea afterwards, leading to me to question the restaurant’s food hygiene standards, which already seems to have a bad fame. Fifth, I don’t mind paying a bit more for good food and service, but for this shxx? This is utterly unjustifiable. It’s not worthy. Hence, I wouldn’t recommend anyone who wants to try real chinese hotpot coming here.

The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening (reservations recommended). We had to wait another 10 minutes in the hallway with a reservation. The boss then very rudely “kicked” the customers at our table out of the restaurant. Food was very authentic and delicious. Some of the vegetarian options were very expensive. The waitress then explained everything to us and put dips at the table, which you can refill several times at a self-service counter. In the end we were charged about 15 euros extra for the dips?! We weren't told about it beforehand, nor was it on the menu or on the homepage.

Edit: 2024: Still wonderful😀 and happy to do it again. 2019: A wonderfully authentic meal. Be careful: slightly spicy is also very, very spicy 😉. Gladly again....

One of the best Chinese Hotpots in and around Frankfurt area. A great selection of toppings and drinks. The service is fast and efficient. If you got out with a group on average you would end up spending 30-35 euros for the hotpot and drinks which includes upto 6 different toppings (meat, veg and dumplings). The spicy soup base was off the charts. 🥵😄

The food is so delicious, the service is good and friendly, you don't have to worry, it's an experience that everyone can enjoy

食材可选择性比较少，价格还是相对贵的，虽然我们是两个人吃，尤其点的食材偏一些就一百多了……牛肉还可以，虾滑我觉得一般般，但是牛蛙腿千万千万千万不要点，非常不新鲜，我因为吃起来那个冰箱冰太久的味道太浓了，吃了一只半吃不下去了，同行的伙伴不想浪费全吃了，然后回去就发烧还拉了两天肚子……不存在没煮熟的情况，就是看到端上来是很明显的冷藏牛蛙腿还特意煮了很久，但是肉质和新鲜度真的太差了，小伙伴们还是避雷牛蛙吧

We tried a big pot with 3 soup bases, they keep refilling until you say no. Both vegan and meat options are available. They do have an all-you-can-eat salad section for free. Even fruits and chicken salad were available the day I went. However the seating is not comfortable as they use wooden chairs, you'll feel the pain after sometime, nevertheless you can enjoy the usual Chinese hotpot here.

Nettes Personal und nettes Ambiente. Mir ging es ziemlich schlecht nach dem Essen und ich hatte starke Magenkrämpfe nach dem Essen. Essen ist eher für Gruppen geeignet als für 2-3 Menschen aufgrund des Preises.

Das erste Mal HotPot. Wir haben Hilfe bei der Auswahl der Saucen und Speisen erhalten. Service war super freundlich, Essen war lecker und Restaurant ist stimmig.

Hotpot war okay, aber preislich eher für größere Gruppen geeignet. Die scharfe Brühe war ölüberladen, selbst nach dem Abschöpfen. Trotzdem geschmacklich gut (3,5 Punkte)

Essen sehr lecker, auf für Vegetarier was dabei. Bedienung super freundlich und auch für Hot Pot Anfänger geeignet da alles erklärt wird und sich gut um einen gekümmert wird.

Bester Feuertopf (chinesisches Fondue), den ich ausserhalb Chinas je gegessen habe! Frische Zutaten, gehobenes Ambiente, freundlicher Service... Sehr Empfehlenswert für einen schönen Abend in guter Gesellschaft. Außer des Feuertopfs sind Wan tan Suppe, Liang Mian-kalte Nudeln, frietiertes Fleischbällch auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Super traditioneller Hot Pot. Haben im Separee gesessen mit 10 Leuten. Bestellung läuft übers Tablet. Stimmung war super. Werde definitiv wieder hin gehen. Einige Minus Punkt ist der Standort am Bahnhof FFM, aber dafür eben super zu erreichen 👍

Top Chinese Hotpot Restaurant. Great Service, taste is delicious, try the typical Chinese food like Duck blood or pig brains! Tastes delicious.

Sehr leckeres authentisches Essen. Der Service war herausragend, die Kellnerin hat alles erklärt und uns Kombinationen empfohlen und mit uns die Saucenbasis angemischt. Wir hatten einen gedrittelten Hotpot mit Chilli, Tomate und einer veganen Alternative mit Pilzen. Es wurde während dem gesamten Essen mehrfach Brühe aufgegossen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und ein wirklich besonderes Erlebnis.

Sehr zu Empfehlen!!! Der Eingang zum Restaurant ist etwas versteckt und überraschend mit der Wendeltreppe aber der Gang zu diesem Restaurant hat sich für uns gelohnt. Der Hotpot war ein Erlebnis, wir hatten viel Spaß, unser Service war zackig unterwegs, man kann sagen es war ein gelungener Abend. Ein Punkt weniger auf der Bucket list!!! Bilder kommen noch ✌️😉

Sehr authentische chinesische an Atmosphäre. Reservierung ist definitiv empfohlen ansonsten ist mit langer Wartezeit am Wochenende abends zu rechnen. Für jeden Geschmack kann man entsprechende Schärfe gerade wählen. Von Fleisch, Fisch bis vegetarische Beilagen kann aus einer Auswahl bestellt werden. Definitiv ein Abenteuer 😄 Essen war lecker. Am besten mit 3-4 Personen zum hot Pot essen treffen.

Wirklich sehr, sehr lecker! Die Mitarbeiter sind auch alle sehr freundlich und der service ist einfach top! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Sehr lecker und Authentisches Hot Pot essen im Herzen von Frankfurt. Wir wurden sehr aufmerksam bedient obwohl wir in einem separaten Raum saßen. Da wir uns noch nicht auskannte wurde sogar eine empfohle Dipping Soße zubereitet. Wir fühlen uns sehr gut aufgehoben und wertgeschätzt als Gäste. Hier ist es eher üblich nach dem Essen nicht mehr lange sitzen zu bleiben (die „Zubereitung“ dauert ja auch schon sehr lange) und das Restaurant nach max. 2 Stunden wieder zu verlassen - dieses bestätig man auch bei der Reservierung Online.
