XiaoLongKan Hotpot Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

Delicious! It was really fun eating hotpot! It's a little more expensive (around €90 for two people), but it was worth it for us.

Absolutely legendary... The two of us were there and we'll come back any time. We had the “Hotpot” for 2 people and 1x each of the finely and very thinly sliced ​​lamb rolls and 2x Wagyu. 1x the Australian Wagyu and 1x the Japanese Wagyu. The taste of the meat is absolutely amazing! I actually ate a slice of Japanese Wagyu raw and it was awesome!! Be it the Wagyu or the lamb and the price-performance ratio is more than reasonable. About 200g of Australian Wagyu cost €28 and about 200g of Japanese Wagyu cost €58. For me personally it's a very good and fair price when you consider that in a steakhouse you can easily go for upwards of €120 for a 250g Wagyu steak. It may not be the same as here, but you can still compare it in terms of the flesh. In general, the prices are really reasonable and it's by no means overpriced or anything. With all the raves about the good food, I almost forgot about the service. Service also gets 5* because the people explained and showed very thoroughly. One waitress even went to the sauce buffet with me and put the sauce together with me. The other waitress showed us exactly how to use the fondue, or rather WHERE the meat goes in and for how long. This is a perfected service and you don't experience something like that every day, at least not us. Big praise, keep it up and we will keep coming back!!

We tried hotpot for the first time and loved it. The waitress explained to us in a friendly manner how it works and then put together a delicious side sauce for us. We had tomato, mushroom and slightly spicy broth, although slightly spicy was too spicy for us. The other 2 broths were very tasty. Admittedly not cheap at 40-50 euros per person, but also super tasty. A reservation is recommended in the evening.

Do not wear fresh or delicate clothes when you come here. My washing hamper still reeks of garlic and sesame oil 1 week after I washed all the clothes I wore when I was there. You and your hair will be very smelly at the end of your visit. We also had to cough and sneeze a lot during our stay due to all the spices in the air. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful, but could have been more attentive. I did not appreciate that she started off by recommending a double pot - and when we asked for a triple she admitted that they had run out of triple pots. Aside from that she made us feel very welcome. The food was a mixed bag. While the quality was fine, I felt prices were over the top. Ultimately you do all the cooking yourself, and we lacked the imagination to get too adventurous (not forgetting that "mistakes" can get very costly here), so while I enjoyed the company, the food was mostly just okay. The homemade dumplings were the best, the others were frozen convenience products from the Asian supermarket.

Unfortunately, the reservation is confusing because the date on the calendar did not correspond to the time booked, the restaurant was called differently there and the address was not the correct one. The entrance can be easily missed and the stairs to the restaurant are quite steep. In the restaurant itself, all you can smell is the broth. The service staff is very friendly, although some of their German is barely understandable. The food, on the other hand, is very tasty and varied. Preparation in the hot pot is a great experience.

We love it! Germany's best hotpot restaurant. Authentic, delicious, rich. Of course, Chinese hot pot is cheaper elsewhere, but hardly better. Ingredients are top fresh, broths absolutely delicious. Our favorite: Sichuan vegetable broth. Plus attentive and fast service and a cool ambience. Even at 150 kilometers away, it's worth a visit, of course in conjunction with other Frankfurt commitments. Since the restaurant is less than 5 minutes from the tracks of Frankfurt Central Station, is located on the first floor and is somewhat above the illustrious things of the station district and also has a smoking balcony, it couldn't be better for us. Just wow! The food was simply delicious and the service was great! Everything was explained to us at the beginning and then we started. We had hot pot and it is highly recommended. It's a bit pricey (we ended up spending €40 per person) but it's an experience that's worth it. We'll definitely be back.

The hot pot restaurant was a great experience! The selection of fresh ingredients and different broths was impressive, and everyone could prepare their dishes to their own taste. So expensive but so good. The set up is so great. Lots of options and varieties for meat and vegetarian. The way you can mix your own sauce is amazing, so many great flavors. I don't know if it's worth the price but it's definitely worth the experience. The staff is very attentive and super fast. I also like that they give you a tablet to order and the way it let's you choose your broth, meat and veggies. I don't know if I would come back since it's so expensive for what you get but I definitely highly recommend checking it out, since it's simply delicious.

It was very expensive but authentic like in China.

The bottom of the pot is so fragrant, the more you eat it, the better it tastes. Two girls eat over 100 yuan. It feels like the amount is less than before and less than the Liu family next door. The Liu family estimates that 70 to 80 can be eaten. But the taste of Xiaolongkan is really good. I feel like I can eat it for 130 even if I go out for it. And more than half of the guests are not Asians. Xiaolongkan has allowed Chinese hotpot to conquer the world!

Hotpot with lots of interesting and very tasty ingredients! Very nice service and friendly atmosphere. The entrance is a bit hidden and you have to accept that your clothes will smell like food afterwards.

Do people really have that much money these days? Do they no longer care about money? That really shocked me. There were three of us and we each paid almost 50 euros and in the end we still weren't full. I don't mean that the price was too high, but there should be the appropriate quantity for that price. Very authentic. I missed Chinese HotPot so much. It's expensive but as a group it's 100% worth it. We paid €203 for 8 people. Approx. €25 per person. We were there for 2 hours. Everyone was full and happy. At the end we also received melon as a gift.

Ich war neulich bei ShooLoongkan Hotpot in Berlin und war wirklich enttäuscht. Bei über 30 Grad sitzt man drinnen ohne jegliche Belüftung!!!!! KEINE Klimaanlage, KEINE Ventilatoren, einfach gar nichts! Der Laden ist voll mit Rauch und stickiger Luft, und man hält es KEINE fünf Minuten aus, ohne rauszugehen, um frische Luft zu schnappen. Alle Gäste müssen ständig raus an die frische Luft, weil es drinnen kaum auszuhalten ist!!!! Besonders ärgerlich ist, dass die Gäste unterschiedlich behandelt werden. Beschwerden werden einfach abgewimmelt, und man bekommt nur zu hören, dass die Lüftung schon seit April kaputt ist. Warum ist dieses Problem im September immer noch nicht gelöst? Das ist ein Hotpot-Restaurant, und ohne Belüftung stellt das eine RIESIGE Sicherheitsgefahr dar. Warum wird so etwas nicht von den Behörden kontrolliert? Ich hoffe wirklich, dass die zuständigen Feuerwehr- und Sicherheitsbehörden auf diesen Missstand aufmerksam werden und das Restaurant umgehend überprüfen. Das kann so nicht weitergehen – hier besteht eine klare Gefahr für die Sicherheit der Gäste! Ein Stern, weil es leider keine null Sterne gibt.

Several issues led me to give it 1 star. First, the service attitude was poor. The attitudes of certain waiters towards foreigners and Chinese are very different. One time I called to order food and when I went to pick it up, the boss forgot to make it and kept saying that we didn't confirm it twice. They didn't apologize and made me wait in the store for more than 40 minutes. The train had already left. Second, the food tastes terrible. Can you believe that the most delicious dish in a hot pot restaurant is egg fried rice? ? Third, food safety. Every time I go to eat, I always get diarrhea when I come home. Didn’t food poisoning break out this time? I am responsible for the above remarks.

Here you get super tasty, authentic hotpot with fresh, high-quality ingredients. But what I would particularly like to highlight is the really hospitable and courteous staff. We felt very welcome and had a great time. Thank you for that.

Mega Hot Pot in Frankfurt is the best in my opinion

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. The restaurant is in a prime location right next to the main train station, which makes it very convenient and easy to reach. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and were always attentive and helpful. What struck me particularly positively was that many Asian guests ate in the restaurant, which for me is a sign of the authenticity of the cuisine. The food was freshly prepared and the ingredients were special and unique. Despite the high outside temperatures of 30 degrees, it was pleasant in the restaurant. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. It offers authentic and high quality cuisine coupled with first class service in a very convenient location. Definitely worth a visit!

Ordered delivery and there was limited selections because we arrived in Frankfurt quite late. The food cost ~30 euros including delivery and tips, it didn’t have much within, just beef stripes, a handful of beef pieces, Yuba and cabbages. Plus it only had pure spicy flavor, no other flavor, I was only able to eat 1/4 of food (considering I can eat pretty spicy food usually). What a waste! Maybe dining in hot pot would be much better but don’t order delivery.

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, in diesem Restaurant zu essen. Das Restaurant befindet sich in bester Lage direkt am Hauptbahnhof, was es sehr bequem und leicht erreichbar macht. Der Service war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Personal hat sich sehr bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, und war stets aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist mir, dass viele asiatische Gäste im Restaurant speisten, was für mich ein Zeichen für die Authentizität der Küche ist. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und die Zutaten besonders und einzigartig. Trotz der hohen Aussentemperaturen von 30 Grad war es im Restaurant angenehm. Insgesamt war es ein tolles Erlebnis und ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Es bietet eine authentische und hochwertige Küche, gepaart mit erstklassigem Service in einer sehr praktischen Lage. Ein Besuch lohnt sich definitiv!

Overpriced for little performance

Great hotpot restaurant! Ordering via iPads was super easy and the food came immediately. There wasn't much going on, so we were able to take a look at everything in peace. The selection at the buffet was huge and everything was fresh and tasty. I'd love to come back!

Overall the hotpot is pretty good ! But they mixed seafood sauce with the oyster sauce. My DIY sauce became too salty at the end !

There were three of us there and none of us had ever eaten anything like this before. We were warmly welcomed and given very friendly instructions. Service was great and the food was great too. As a loaner, I can unfortunately say less about the quality, but everything was prepared and garnished cleanly and with quality and everything was very fresh and clean. We were also helped with sauces and the choice of hotpot. The only tiny flaw was the height of the table and the benches, which were a bit too low and uncomfortable. but otherwise it was nicely decorated. I can borrow it and really recommend it, even if you think of a third-class restaurant when you look at the stairs to the entrance. Is it worth giving this a chance.

If you are visiting Frankfurt and are craving for good tasty and authentic hot pot, start walking over towards the main train station. This hot pot place has beautiful decor and atmosphere, staff are super friendly, food choices are plenty and freshly sourced, and they have great wines to pair with your taste. I recommend the local Riesling. If you are lucky, as for the tables facing the train station. If you feel fancy, they have premium. grade Kobe beef from Japan and Australia.

Today was our first time at XiaoLongKan and it won't be the last time! Clean restaurant, nice ambience, great and friendly service, delicious food. We were newbies to hotpot and there was a great and understandable introduction. After ordering via tablet, the food was on the table within a few minutes. Everything was explained and we “newbies” were looked after - never intrusively. It was our daughter's birthday and there was even a present from the kitchen! Everything we tried was very tasty. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team for this great experience.

There were two of us there today and we chose the vegetarian hotpot with three different soups. Great selection of fish, meat & vegetarian ingredients. You can also choose the sauces at the bar. The waitress explained everything to us in detail and also gave us tips. Very attentive. Tastes very good. Unfortunately, additional ingredients are a bit too expensive, so the two of us paid €80 including drinks. But if you eat the hotpot with three or four people, it's totally fine!

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. We wandered around for 20 minutes to find a parking space. The situation can scare you as a family. The tables don't really invite you to eat. Way too deep that my feet can hardly move. The space is also too small for a family with a large selection. I don't think the price is justified for a few vegetables and meat. For 150 euros you can eat better.

Probably the best you can get in Frankfurt, however, I still prefer the one in Düsseldorf. It’s the same owner but somehow the good, the Ambiente was much nicer in Düsseldorf. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good but if I had a choice I would go to the other one :)

A bit expensive for my taste, €100 for two people, including one drink per person. We were full, the taste was okay, but nothing more. Next time we'll go to Pak Choi again.

Wouldn't recommend. We were there with children and friends on Saturday. We were informed that we could only eat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. After 7:30 p.m. the employee reminds us every 5 minutes and at 7:50 p.m. our receipt was already printed out. Like an assembly line.

Ich hatte nur ausreichend, wenn auch leider nur Zeit, weil mein Anschlusszug Verspätung hatte und bin aufgrund der guten Bewertung aufmerksam geworden. Die Suppe war sehr schmackhaft und die scharfe Sauce sehr scharf aber hervorragend gut! Ich könnte mir vorstellen, bei einer der nächsten Fahrten bewusst über Mittag 2.5-3 h Pause einzuplanen und dann den Hotpot zu genießen!

Authentic Chinese cuisine. Very impressive offering with Chinese hotpot. Lots of exotic dishes by European standards that can be combined in the hotpot.

We were there on a Monday evening and had a table in a separate room. The restaurant was later busy and a reservation is recommended. It is located directly opposite Frankfurt Central Station, so it is easy to reach by public transport. The main entrance is a little hidden next to a cell phone shop, but is signposted. The guest room, which was renovated just a few years ago, is on the first floor. If you come by car, there are many parking garages nearby. We were in the Westend parking garage. Bright, clean and cheap. For me it was the first experience with a "hot pot". 3 different brews are offered in one pot. The individual dishes leave nothing to be desired. Fish, shrimp, meat, vegetables and mushrooms. If you like, also pig's feet and beef stomach. But you should pre-order this. EVERYTHING, really EVERYTHING, was of the highest quality. There is a rich sauce bar for dips. I can't say anything about the prices because I was invited. It was the perfect evening. Thanks.

Everything was actually okay until a cockroach fell from the ceiling onto our table. When we showed this to the staff, they frantically tried to downplay the situation. It wasn't a cockroach but another beetle. It was extremely rude that we were then accused of having planted the insect ourselves. Luckily there are surveillance cameras that can disprove this... I also order the health department, something like that doesn't work!

Good food. Good experience. Hot Pot is a good concept where you cook food in boiling broth of different spice levels right there on our table. It’s a bit of an expensive experience and you really have to know what to order. But overall, I loved it. This restaurant seemed quite authentic for the concept.
