I've been craving this for a long time, the taste is very authentic and the service is also very good.

Long wait (40 minutes), somewhat understandable given the Oktoberfest rush. The food wasn't generous, the chicken was way too small, and the rest was just chili and onions. Not really recommended. Unfortunately, the round table was very loud; it would be better to seat these people in a separate room.

A visit here is quite an experience =) It seems very unassuming at first glance, but go ahead and step in. You won't regret it. The food is beyond authentic and delicious. The menu offers a variety of dishes, so there should be something for every taste. There's also a lunch menu, where you'll always find something. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is just right and somehow captivates you – in a good way ;-)

Using Lao Gan Ma to cook dishes wouldn't last two days in China! The oil isn't there, and the oil isn't there. The dishes are neither Hunan nor Sichuan. Munich Chinese food is truly lame, and I've eaten there many times. Even when I cook, Lao Gan Ma dishes are just too basic, and as someone from Guizhou, I'd never go. What's the point of spending tens of thousands of dollars? I won't be going back.

The only Chinese restaurant in Munich that I know of with authentic Chinese cuisine. The food is simply delicious, and the staff is super friendly. Simply superb.

One of my favourite Chinese places, a real gem in Munich. I often come here with many people, since it’s most fun to share. The place and staff is also really nice. They have an extensive menu and a large selection of authentic Szechuan dishes. I am vegan and have lots of options there, I love the eggplant, the beans and the mapo tofu.

Very authentic and delicious. They serve hot food until 10 p.m., and you can sit outside. The chairs are super comfortable, and the service is excellent. We were given a free aperitif as a farewell gift. We'd love to come back.

Best Chinese food I had in Germany!

Unfortunately, our visit to Rheinfall was one where the menu was just scraps and sticky, and the food was rather unspectacular due to the bar, even though I love Jesus food and especially cuisine - but it's quite expensive.

It's a bit of a mess. Anyone who eats here will be upset. It's expensive and the portions are small. The taste is hard to describe. I heard that the owner has changed. I can only say that it's reasonable. Those who understand will understand.

My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in Munich! Service is incredibly sweet and friendly. The food is always great! I've rarely had such authentic Chinese food anywhere in Europe. The chef always takes great care of his guests. I always enjoy coming back!

Very authentic Sichuan food. Rice is 1 euro per person and is free to add more. I end up eating more than double of my usual rice intake. :)

The girl who works here was very nice and attentive. She took orders in German, English, and Chinese. When we had a question on the size of a dish, she managed to find a photo of it to show us. The dishes we ordered were tasty. The insider of the restaurant was cosy but no air condition in early June so we were sweaty. Should have sit on a table outside. Recommend if you want good Chinese food in Munich.

Food and service is great. Authentic Chinese food and great service. Friendly and helpful staff. And when that say spicy they mean spicy. Had a great time and a good meal.

I don't know if the owner has changed or something else, but the taste of the past is unfortunately no longer there. The portions have become very small and some of the food is very oily. I was very enthusiastic about this restaurant back then, but these days, I can't recommend it anymore. What a shame...

Can come again ——————————————————- I laughed so hard when I saw someone below complaining about the service attitude of the lady boss and then being criticized for having no sense of humor. The service attitude does have a lot of room for improvement, but what can I do if she is the boss lady and not the waitress? Let’s talk about the issue of swiping cards. Every time we tried to swipe the card, we were rejected first, and then we compromised and paid cash. Finally, one time, several friends who were traveling with us ran out of cash and had to swipe their cards. Although we clearly stated that we had no cash, the lady boss still insisted on letting us chip in together (we only had coins😂) and looked very bad. The boss lady was really helpless and swiped our card anyway. Compared to the one who was rejected, she felt like she was favored by the goddess of luck! Finally, let’s talk about the dishes. In terms of taste, we think some dishes are acceptable. In terms of price, I can’t comment on the price in Munich. Why give 3 stars: One star is deducted for service, and the other star is still for service. ps: There is really no sense of humor ~ both of us 🙂

This was the best Chinese food I've had in Germany so far: an explosion of spices and flavors that you can hardly find outside of China! Everything was super fresh - the vegetables were crunchy, the meat was very tender and all the dishes were very different - and each one was a visual feast for the eyes! Our expectations regarding the selection of authentic Chinese dishes were exceeded. The excellent food was crowned by very friendly and courteous service. Today I was there again - at lunchtime - and I have to limit my recommendation: not recommended at lunchtime, unfortunately! Very small portion (duck), not crispy, on few mushy vegetables. My friend had uninspired tofu, which was only slightly warm, and today on top of that there was a young lady with listless to almost grumpy service - a shame!

I'm no expert, but definitely not the usual European uniformity. More unusual dishes with very tasty facets. I don't know if it's authentic, but it's very, very tasty and the service is very friendly. If I'm there again, I'd be happy to come by again :)

A visit to this Chinese restaurant is a very special experience. It is frequented by many Asian guests, which is often a good sign of authentic food. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious. However, the furnishings are rather simple and functional - that may take some getting used to for some. If you like eating spicy food, this is the place for you. But if you don't like it that spicy, you should definitely take the instructions on the menu seriously. Because what is described here as “not very spicy” can be quite fiery for most people!

There were three of us, but otherwise the restaurant was empty. The service was prompt and very friendly. They took a lot of time and explained everything in detail. There is an enormous selection of dishes. The food came after just 10 minutes and was good, plus some goodies on the house.

It is definitely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten overseas or at home. Maybe it is because I don’t know how to order it. I don’t want to eat the lean meat of a farm-style stir-fried pork. It is also super spicy, and so is the cauliflower. As a Hunanese, I can’t wait to wash it with water. The key is that it doesn't taste good.

My family and I came to Munich for a trip, and happened to find this restaurant while we were looking for non-German restaurants. We are very particular about Chinese cuisine (we regularly eat Hunan, Sichuan, Cantonese and Uyghur fare) and didn’t know how it would stack up here. We decided to try it after seeing the photos from the menu, and I am so glad we did! The food was richly flavoured with excellent mala! Spicy as it should be, and cooked with care. We were also treated by caring staff who helped us navigate our order in English. If anyone is reading this, please give this place a try and support them! You won’t be disappointed, and you will be well fed.

Superb food. Speaking as a chinese from singapore, the taste is authentic (chilli is dulled down but still good). The speed at which food is served is amazing. 2 minutes a dish. Rice is warm/hot. Dishes are hot which is comforting in the winter. Dogs are allowed.

Unfortunately, the fried noodles were very greasy, but the taste was okay. A bit overpriced at 9.80 euros. Unfortunately the service wasn't very friendly, no smile. Otherwise the restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were a bit overwhelmed with the map, which is the size of a book. There would be a recommendation and a note that the dishes for two people were quite nice.

Hidden gem in Munich, the food and attention to detail is spectacular.

It takes about half an hour to walk from Marienplatz. The service is good. Amiable. I feel like I'm home.

Solid offers. Enjoyed the spice chicken (辣子鸡） but my fave was actually the fried peppers. I think the 梅菜扣肉 was a bit too salty. I would order the freshly fried veggie type dishes more next time. Friendly service. Beer prices high 6 euros/half liter

As an Asian, I would say it is the most authentic food in foreign country! Highly recommend!! The hot pot bullfrog and cauliflower are very spicy. If I go to Munich again, I will come again if I want to eat Chinese food!

Very authentic food, both in our own comparison and in the assessment of Chinese colleagues. Reasonably priced. The ambience is rather simple - but not kitschy like in some other Chinese restaurants. Definitely recommended if you want to sit around a round table with several guests and eat different dishes together, as is common in China.

Very very good Hunnan style restaurant in munich near Theresienwiese. The owners and service is very friendly and helpful. The Mapo tofu is great. The aromatic balance stands out. I'd also advise to order the chicken feet, which are pretty uncostumed for a western palate but are very, very delicious. Dare to try. We had jasmine tea, which complemented the citrusy aroma of the szechuan pepper and mellowed the spiciness of the dishes a bit. Overall a great experience. Very authentic Chinese cuisine - so it doesn't always suit Western European tastes. The staff seemed very stressed in an almost empty restaurant.

The Hunan cuisine restaurant in Munich is very authentic, the taste is very fragrant, spicy, and very delicious. Today I ordered boiled beef. The beef is very tender and the peppercorns are very fragrant. It is paired with white rice (a small pot). It is very delicious! Very recommended Chinese restaurant.

Super delicious Hunan cuisine! Hand-shredded cabbage, twice-cooked pork, braised pork, water spinach, couple's lung slices... they are all super delicious! A relief from homesickness! The boss is also super nice! Will definitely visit again!

I ordered stir-fried pork, beans and eggplant, and spicy and sour shredded potatoes. Every dish is very oily. The spicy and sour potato shreds are neither spicy nor sour, just oily. The beans and eggplants have no aroma, and are just ordinary fried meat with oil and small stir-fried meat. Picky Asians can skip this one. You may still be able to eat the dumplings, but you won’t make a special trip here to eat them.

The food was not fresh. I ordered pork ribs and couple's lung slices, but the meat and tripe had a smell. We also ordered tofu and twice-cooked pork, which seemed to be pre-made dishes. Even the Coke I ordered had no energy at all. I probably used what was left over from yesterday. The problem is that it is very expensive, nearly 80€ for two people. Big thunder. Then the restroom is quite dirty, the door is broken and cannot be closed, and the smell in the store is not very good.

Amazing authentic Chinese food. This reminded me of the time I went to China, and the cuisine in Chengdu or Xi’an. Flavour, spices and experience. We tried the crab, fried rice, scallion pancakes which were brilliant. The cumin lamb was good too. Would definitely recommend!

Völlig unzumutbar. Essen kann nicht bei Bedienung bestellt werden, da sie sich kaum verständigen kann. Man muss auf einen wirren Bestellschein in Minischrift ankreuzen was man haben möchte? Essen wird anscheinend von einem Koch aus dem Balkan gekocht? Wantan Suppe wird, wie ein komplett anderes Gericht in einer öligen Chili Pampe serviert. knuspriger Schweinebauch kommt lauwarm, laptig, anscheinend aus der Mikrowelle, Bestellung von etwas Soße zum Schweiebauch war nicht möglich, was soll man dazu sagen, original Chinesische Küche.....

The food exceeded my expectations! It was great and I would definitely come back. The price was reasonable given the portions are quite large. The staff was quite busy so it took some time to receive our food, otherwise they were very kind.

Authentic Chinese restaurant where the experience is sit down, shareable family style plates, enjoy and be satisfied. The dishes here pepper behind name are very spicy and delicious but be cautious three peppers is very hot for most people and two peppers will have you sweating. Definitely worth a stop in

Absolutely love the food there. I love to come here with different people and always order different items from the Menu. Beware, “🌶️🌶️🌶️” dishes are not for the faint of heart.
