Authentic small restaurant with very quick service and very tasty food. We stumbled upon this little gem by chance after the fair. We've been to Vietnam before 🇻🇳 and have to say, it was like a short trip there. The service was on point and explained everything to us calmly even though the store was full to capacity 👍. The homemade lemonade was simply delicious. The pho, congee (chao) and sweetened coffee were just like in Vietnam. And price performance was also good. Nothing overpriced. We highly recommend it. Especially because everything is so authentic!

We've been eating Bun Bo Nam Bo for some time now and we like it best here. What we think is a shame is that you can't pay by card and that in 2025...

Today, after a long time, we ordered from there when we wanted to eat at home and I was shocked at the contents! 1. of course it became more expensive!!! And the content but less! Please rate your service attitude. I asked this friend: Does our restaurant's fish noodle soup taste northern or southern? She said: FUCK, I DON'T KNOW 🙂. WHERE IS THE DIFFERENCE? (I ended up feeling like crap with my attitude). I ordered something else to eat. Then he continued asking: WHAT WATER? 🙂 When paying the bill, you said: We only accept cash here, if you don't have it, leave your things and go withdraw...🙂 (In the end, I had to scrape together every penny in my bag to still have enough). The attitude is very brash and arrogant. Still thinking, I don't know what to say. Don't use individuals to equate the collective, but when an individual makes a bad impression, still give 1 star 🙂.

Used to be my favorite Vietnamese. I have no idea what's going on there, but in my opinion, price and performance no longer match, as the quality in particular is no longer right and the prices have doubled over time. You can do it, but there are fewer regular customers. I'm going somewhere else now.

I'm trying out a lot of new restaurants at the moment. Then I became aware of this restaurant. Were there with a small group. The ambience is really nice, cozy and actually gives the charm of the streets of Vietnam. We had the mango salad, glass noodles and a pho ga. Really recommend everything and it is authentic.

Great food and great service. Unfortunately, the stools are semi-comfortable and one toilet is the size of a broom closet. That's not so nice.

A great Vietnamese restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Pho. Unfortunately, the request for additional sharpness was not met, which is why I unfortunately have to deduct a star.

We visited as a group of 4 and had a variety of dishes. All of it was excellent, and the service fast and friendly. A little odd that they demand only cash payments, so we had to check pur pockets to make sure we carry bills. But otherwise, all was great. The interior design is eclectic and emulates the vibes of a foodstall with loose cables dangling from the ceiling and all. Liked it, will go back. 👍👍

The store used to be really great, but after Corona the prices increased and now it's simply too expensive for the portions and performance. Service used to be better somehow, it was more relaxed and the team had fun, this time the waiter had a mood that you don't like being served by. It's a shame, I enjoyed staying here very often as a student.

A real authentic experience with lovely food. Not an elaborate menu but everything is so delicious. Especially also some unique dishes from imperial hue.

Very average food. The staff was extremely unfriendly, denying a polite request for a glass of tap water. Lazy bookkeeping, since the restaurant accepts only cash, despite waiters ordering food on high-tech devices... Overall simply a truly unpleasant establishment.

This food isn't just nice and Asian. But it could be that the sauce somehow tastes a little different than what you already know, and that means: pretty cool. The fried noodles in a slightly soup-like sauce with meat and vegetables not only taste really delicious and retain their crunch in the sauce, but you also make a fool of yourself while eating it and say "Hmmmmm!" with every second bite. or just sigh to yourself. Yes. Why do you sigh? Because you can't taste the whole menu... But you can dream.

I have visited this restaurant several times and am still impressed by the excellent price-performance ratio. On my last visit, we ordered the beef and chicken pho soup, along with a homemade drink and tea. In terms of taste, the soup was an absolute highlight – a clear 10/10. What is particularly noteworthy is that there are no artificial flavor enhancers such as glutamate. Instead, the natural flavors of the fresh ingredients such as lemon balm, crunchy vegetables and perfectly cooked meat come through wonderfully. The rice noodles fit harmoniously into the dish and ensure that the soup is not heavy on the stomach. The homemade drink was solid, but not exceptional – but still quite pleasant. The tea, on the other hand, surprised me positively and is definitely worth recommending. The service is always attentive, friendly and responds quickly – another plus point. Overall, a great place that I recommend to anyone who appreciates natural flavors and doesn't mistake over-seasoned food for authentic Asian, especially Vietnamese, cuisine. Absolute recommendation!

An undefeated institution of Vietnamese cuisine in Hamburg for years. Food from traditional to fusionist - everything is included. In terms of taste, the Pho have so far been unbeatable. Many dishes also have vegan versions. My fusion tip: Sweet & Beefy The Vietnamese coffee with sweet condensed milk is always worth a sip. Street kitchen style ambience absolutely cool. Only the toilets take some getting used to :D

I’m Vietnamese and this is not authentic at all. Tasty but not authentic at all. Lack of herbs and greens for the pho and bun Bo hue. Summer rolls are dull and also missing some herbs and greens. Boring beers from their own tap. Service was however very nice. Chill out place

The food was okay, nothing extraordinary. The Alsterwasser I ordered was almost lukewarm, which was not enjoyable at all on a sunny afternoon. To make matters worse, the service from one of the younger women was horrible. She was extremely rude and made me feel unwelcome. CASH ONLY!

When this restaurant first opened, it was a little bit special. However, there is now an enormous selection of Vietnamese in Hamburg, most with a very similar menu. However, there are still one or two dishes here that stand out positively, especially the porridge. Unfortunately I have to deduct two stars because card payment is not possible. This is simply no longer appropriate and annoying these days.

In love their pho bo! Came here twice with friends and we tried different selections. The BTM was nice and a great vegetarian option. The fried spring rolls were amazing! Thick filling and very savoury with tangy dip. Very crispy! The bo bun hue was also nice! Generous beef topping and not too spicy as well. The winner was the pho bo! Broth was really deep and comforting! Sliced beef was also really fresh and good. For my fellow SEA spicy lovers, ask for fresh cut chilies.. man, it really elevated the broth! Oh, and the portions of each dish was quite big as well. My friends had some of their mocktails and they loved them! It’s cash only payment and tip is encouraged. Will definitely return for the pho bo 🥰.

We are often in the area and were there for the first time. The restaurant is well located, ambience is ok, stools outside but only semi-comfortable in the long run. We ordered the summer rolls as a starter. They were really tasty, but that was it. One of the fish main courses we ordered was no longer available at 7 p.m. We then changed our order to “rice porridge” (2nd picture). But here too, one of the interesting ingredients was missing, which was initially kept secret from us. If you forgot to say... Nobody notices. When we asked, they initially didn't want to accommodate us in terms of price, I could "exchange" it for something else, of course I would then have to pay in full for the other dish... we agreed on a 10% discount... The taste was ok, but nothing special, a bit boring. The service was also rather disinterested. Only cash payment possible. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.

The taste is not suitable for Vietnamese people. Rare beef pho and Hue beef vermicelli, stir-fried noodles are really delicious. Hue beef noodle soup only has a few pieces of cooked beef. Rare beef pho only has a few pieces of beef, and the pho broth is like water. There is nothing like the smell of pho at all. My family will never come back. A small restaurant right at the Hamburg trade fair. We were guided on an evening walk and found a place to eat here. Spontaneously, without an appointment, a place for two people was available outside. However, we didn't really like the food and it wasn't that good for us either. We once had summer rolls, the 16th and the 19th, all vegetarian with tofu. The food was a bit lacking in spice, which made it taste a bit bland. Otherwise, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the prices are okay too. The service was solid. Only card payment possible. For me the restaurant is not recommended.

Good Vietnamese restaurant near the Hamburg exhibition halls. The menu is extensive and the Vietnamese noodle salad we ordered was tasty. The furnishings are very modest, you sit outside on small stools. All in all, consistent.

We were really disappointed. Have eaten here a few times and it was good back then. But now we were back here after a long time and were surprised that it was so bad. Pho didn't taste like Pho, the rice noodles of a bun dish were clumped together and also tasteless... When we said that unfortunately it didn't taste good, there was no reaction from the waitress... It's a real shame. We're definitely not coming back.

We will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend the restaurant. The location is beautifully decorated and takes you straight to Asia. The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious. And the service was top too!

It was the first time there, I thought the food was ok, but what really got worse and covered everything up and spoiled the appetite was the unfortunately very unpleasant smell like in a public toilet. This flowed through the entire guest room. We left immediately after eating without ordering more.

The three of us had dinner yesterday. It was extremely crowded and we waited a short time for a table. The drinks were great; the food came quickly. Everything was great!

There were 4 pieces of tofu in my pho with tofu - and that for a whopping €13. Taste OK, but nothing special. Not a recommendation for me personally. I guess the place lives off its reputation from earlier times when the food and service were better.

The “Sweet & Beefy” for 15 euros now promises “aromatic marinated beef fillet”. But then there came - a quite manageable amount at that - breaded, deep-fried liver slices... The room is rather dark and not exactly comfortable. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly.

In the beginning, years ago, we visited here every week...for a very long time...since then there were never any new dishes on the menu, so we were looking for something new...at some point the operators changed , but the menu remained the same... but we wanted to test it again, in our opinion the food is no longer tasty... I had the once great potato curry with chicken, unfortunately it doesn't taste good and doesn't have much in common with the Vietnamese one Kitchen to do, the spiciness tastes like some additives... on top of that was the unfriendly service, because the food was brought to the table very rudely and without any comment, maybe because we didn't order any drinks or for whatever reason... ergo There was no tip and it was our last visit!!

Very good food. I ordered the beef with the sweet potato fries and they were probably the best fries I've had so far. The portion could have been a little larger, but that's not a drawback for me in this case.

The food is very very tasty! The people are all super friendly and helpful. The food came really quickly too. The drinks were great too! The only thing I didn't like was the chairs without backrests and the fact that it was a bit tight. But otherwise everything was great!
