Württembergischer Hof in Kirchheim unter Teck

Due to a family emergency, I urgently needed a single room near the Medius Clinic in Kirchheim and found the cheapest offer at the Württemberger Hof. The room is very small (approx. 6 square meters) and is clearly still part of the renovation backlog that the friendly owners are currently working through. There is a small television, but no luggage rack to make unpacking easier. The bathroom is a small alcove with a medium-sized sink that you have to climb into, but there are no handrails or non-slip mats on the slippery shower floor, which becomes extremely treacherous when wet. On the plus side, the hot water came on immediately and with a strong stream – I've certainly experienced worse. Since the room was already freezing cold (the heating was incredibly switched off and couldn't be turned on by the GPS), the small shower gel was also freezing cold and couldn't be heated separately. That's why I'm deducting two stars, because even these days, 85 euros (without breakfast) is too much for a small, ice-cold meal. Especially since there's no elevator to the second floor, which is difficult with a heavy suitcase, and at night the smell from the kitchen on the ground floor slowly wafted upstairs. On the plus side (and this can't be praised highly enough), everything is very clean. And according to the friendly owner, the second floor is now being gradually renovated, and the rooms there are being updated to reflect current trends. If the prices don't immediately skyrocket, it'll be back to five stars.

Just arrived at the hotel, but room 15 is a huge disappointment. I'm unlucky enough to have a room on the second floor, much too small and outdated. Luckily, I only have to stay here for two nights. I can hear the shower faucet dripping constantly, and the bed is also awful.

The chef and the younger receptionist were genuinely nice. Unfortunately, all the other staff lacked the class or the composure to treat guests appropriately. The hotel manager was the height of rudeness – absolutely unprofessional behavior. We had to end our stay two days early. It was 11 p.m., and we were completely stunned by the lack of decency shown by the manager and the reception staff. Housekeeping failed three times, but we never complained. We paid in advance, not at check-out. Despite this, we received a note in capital letters demanding that we report to reception immediately. Completely inappropriate and almost detached from reality. A terrible experience.

I was the first guest to check in and initially had a small room, just like the ones in the pictures. The furnishings are rather dated and in need of some renovation in places. Nevertheless, it was clean, there was no unpleasant odor, and the room would have been perfectly fine. I then decided to upgrade to a larger room. While this cost a bit more per night, it was a significant upgrade. A large, comfortable bed, a lovely new shower, and overall a much more modern, freshly renovated room – you immediately feel at home. I'd especially like to commend the staff: The receptionist and all the employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day. There's a restaurant directly below the hotel. It's on the pricier side, but certainly a good option if you want a comfortable place to eat. It can get a bit noisy in the hallway at night because there's a party going on downstairs – something to be aware of. Overall, a recommendable hotel, especially if you opt for one of the newer, larger rooms.

Disaster! We stayed in an absolutely dilapidated room (No. 14). The carpet was filthy, the sink leaked so water dripped from the pipe underneath, the toilet was practically under the sink, and the bathroom reeked of sewage. Yellowed curtains completed the squalid picture. The kitchen ventilation for the restaurant below was so bad that the exhaust fumes ended up in the room. It's outrageous that this room is offered for €110 without breakfast. Breakfast wasn't offered because, supposedly, there weren't enough guests in the hotel. One wonders why we couldn't have been given a renovated room. Definitely not recommended. We will never come back.

The hotel is unacceptable when a party is announced, unless the body is immune to vibrations from the bass.

Hospitality is a life-size experience here. The rooms are very nice, with a great bathroom. The breakfast is more than adequate, with something for everyone. I would especially like to highlight the service, which is always friendly and helpful. The Stall restaurant is very cozy, and the food is excellent. We felt very welcome, thank you for this wonderful weekend with you.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for business reasons. Surprisingly, my room was super modern, very comfortable, and warmly furnished. I wouldn't have expected this from the outside, as it looks old-fashioned, although well-maintained. I can't comment on the restaurant's food because I didn't eat there. However, I think it was quite busy for a Wednesday. The breakfast was also really good. Everything you could need was there. I'd definitely go back.

Over the past twelve months, I've stayed in five or six different hotels for work. I can only speak highly of the Hotel Württembergische Hof. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the bed linens and towels are changed regularly. It's quiet, and you can relax and sleep in. The food is delicious, and the portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Duško Dević

I stayed at the Württembergisches Hotel for two days for business. The staff was very accommodating, the room clean and tidy, with a window overlooking the quiet side street, and a walk-in shower with plenty of space. The breakfast was adequate: cereal, bread, rolls, various toppings (including fish), scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and water. Everything you could need was there. The food in the attached restaurant is highly recommended. The portion sizes were perfectly adequate and very tasty. Seating is available both inside and outside.

The roast beef arrived perfectly cooked (medium). Served with Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and extra fries 🍟. Dessert: Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) and vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries.

Very nice atmosphere in the rooms and the bar and very tasty food at reasonable prices. I can highly recommend it and will definitely come back. PS: It's best to book directly at the hotel instead of via portals, so you'll save a few euros 👌

Unfortunately, I had an old room on the second floor without an elevator. It was very small, but very clean. The breakfast was very good!

I guess I was really unlucky 🙄 I booked at short notice and ended up in a completely worn-out room (#16) – and then paid €124 without breakfast. Apparently, this hotel also has rooms that have already been renovated. So, keep your eyes peeled when choosing a room! The whole place gave me a somewhat run-down impression. I won't be staying there again.

Expensive rooms with basic amenities. The bathroom was okay, but could use some renovation. The reception was great. I didn't have breakfast, 14.50. Okay, maybe the rooms will be renovated next year, but they aren't at the moment. Why didn't I get a renovated room? Are company employees treated differently?

My wife and I wanted to stay in this hotel from Thursday September 12th to Friday September 13th, 2024 and also have dinner there. The room was offered online for €124. When we arrived there (around 7 p.m.), the room suddenly cost €174 plus breakfast, despite our reference to the price on the internet. Thankfully declined. We then found a reputable hotel. Addendum to our review It is correct that by internet we meant a portal. It's true that we then looked again at the availability of the rooms in the portal in the parking lot at the hotel. Several rooms in the hotel were no longer available. The room in question for €124 was still available and we could have booked it on the portal for that price. However, after our experiences in the hotel, we decided against it and looked for a reputable hotel.

I did enjoy my stay. This is a real country inn with a very authentic Swabian restaurant. Recommendation: When you reserve a room you need to ask for the rooms on the second floor („im ersten Stock“). Those are nicely renovated. As in most German hotels you need to be aware of that they do not have air conditioning and if your room is on the SE side it may get quite warm when you get there to go to sleep.

The hotel is close to the Ahstrasse and Saarstrasse bus stops. Arrival possible with line 165. Walking distance to Rossmarkt. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The kitchen is an absolute disaster. Don't eat cordon bleu. The chef doesn't know what a cordon bleu is. Fries were fried and cordonbleu was bone dry, cheese and ham cannot be defined. No matter how much effort the service can make. Such a shame. Location and service top. I was offered breakfast as a replacement and the chef apologized. That works for me, I think this Cordonbleu was a slip-up. Will stop here again

I've been a guest here for two weeks. The food is very tasty, the schnitzel is nicely breaded and the fries are very crispy. You don't even sit for 5 minutes and the waitress comes straight away and asks you what you would like. Super Service! The rooms are well furnished, I'm currently living in the Comfort Plus room. Great furnishings, rain shower, beautiful flow, great towels and a huge mirror. An absolute plus point is that fly filters are installed on every window! My room faces the street, but the hotel can't help that. WiFi also works great and is freely available. All in all, always happy and you feel very comfortable and in good hands here! The staff is super accommodating and helpful! Super nice and everything very familiar.

Really nice hotel, the room I stayed in was renovated and very clean. The lady at the reception was very warm and caring. I felt like at home. The only thing missing was breakfast. I went down to the lobby in the morning and wanted to have breakfast, but they said unfortunately we don't have breakfast. But there was a place 40 meters ahead where I could have breakfast and it was nice too. Thank you for everything.

The internet shows the renovated rooms and not the old rooms. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but there's one thing I'll never remember again. The towels frayed the light in the bathroom only the mirror. Hole in the bed linen. The room smelled musty.

We recently went to a celebration in Kirchheim. This hotel was highly recommended to us, so we booked there too. On the phone we were told check-in at 1500. Unfortunately there was no one there. It only opened around 1600. Of course there was a bit of a traffic jam with other waiting guests who had similar times. There were other ambiguities and a bit of hecticness at reception that needed to be sorted out. We would actually have liked to freshen up, but there was only a quarter of an hour left until the taxi arrived because the party started at 1700. That wasn't a glorious arrival at all. We had rooms from the cheaper ones, which are not renovated. It's okay to stay overnight. In the morning we were a little short on breakfast. However, we were warmly looked after and made up for the previous day. In my opinion prices are rather high.

Um 06.00 Uhr ist die Nacht vorbei. Unerträgliche laute Musik, unklar woher. Scheppernde Türen und ab und zu ein polter. An Schlaf ist hier nicht zu denken.

Wie immer super klasse, obwohl wieder mal super viel los war, war wieder alles in allem spitzenmäßig
