A bit pricey, quite rustic, both in terms of the interior and the menu. Unpretentious, quite tasty Swabian dishes. I haven't had a single bad experience yet – everything has been worth the money. They also offer lunch specials.

We had reserved a table at short notice for my birthday with one of our children. Only upon arrival did we learn that we would be sharing a table with another family. No problem, but advance notice would have been appreciated. I ordered roast beef with fried potatoes. The whole meal was rather bland, the fried potatoes were unfortunately much too thick and very chewy, not thin and crispy as expected, and the meat also didn't live up to the price. A real shame, I was really looking forward to it. The service was good, and my husband's Kaiserschmarren for dessert was apparently very tasty. All in all, it was okay.

Very tasty food, with several vegetarian options and good, home-style Swabian fare. It's not exactly cheap, though; we paid over €100 for two people. Since it's quite small inside, it can get a bit noisy when it's full. The ambiance is very nice and quaint. The service is super friendly.

We were at the Schwedenacheuer with 40 people after a workshop. I was very impressed by how efficient and good the service was. None of us had to wait, and everyone got exactly what they ordered. Even the food was served at the same time for everyone. It ran like clockwork. The food was also of the highest quality and very tasty. Fantastic! Thank you very much.

Four of us came here spontaneously, without a reservation, on a balmy summer evening, and we received a very warm welcome. Our server was fantastic, and we knew right from the start that this was going to be a fun evening. The food was delicious, homemade, and prepared with love. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and service. And even when one of us got stung by a wasp, the restaurant was still on the phone asking what the best thing to give him was. In the end, we were given an onion and an ice pack. It was a very pleasant evening, and we'd love to come back if we're ever in the area again. Many thanks for the excellent service!

The food was delicious, but reservations are recommended as it's very popular. The Schwarzbier is also delicious. The service was also excellent; the restaurant was full, but we were seated at a table by the bar, and shortly after, a regular table became available, which they immediately made for us. It's just a shame they forgot about us!

There were nine of us at this cool location before our visit to Chess! The barn was probably built by a Swede during World War I... Three generations were served by Alex - and we felt incredibly comfortable with him! You could almost believe he owns the restaurant! We need employees like him! He's in the right place and works with a lot of passion and joy (I hope the boss appreciates it). The food was super delicious - big compliments to the kitchen too. We'll be happy to come back...maybe for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday!!

We met here as colleagues. The food was decent and really tasty. Unfortunately, the service was seriously lacking. The young man was quite friendly. The young lady, on the other hand, seemed completely uninterested in guests. "What would you like to eat?" with a bored look, no response after ordering. Even afterward, she just asked, "Drink?" She simply wasn't in the mood. The food was simply cleared away without comment, and she didn't even ask if we were ready. Service staff is hard to find, but that simply doesn't have to be the case. She shows that she can be different in private conversations with colleagues or people who passed by and whom she probably knew. You should perhaps make sure you sit at the young man's table.

After taking our order, the drinks were served promptly. The pancake soup and side salad also arrived promptly. The roast beef with onions and schnitzel, along with the spaetzle and fried potatoes, were a delight. The only thing that's a bit steep is the price: just under €35 for the roast beef and €25 for the schnitzel. But taste and quality have their price.

It has been some time since my spouse and I have frequent this restaurant. With memories of an outstanding atmosphere, service, and fantastic food, we sought out this restaurant for lunch. Instead of an outstanding atmosphere, service, and a delicious meal, we were greeted with lackluster service and a feeling of not being wanted. The only savings grace was a partially decent meal. This will never frequent this restaurant again.

A great ambiance, quite acceptable even outside. The food: unfortunately, very disappointing. Last week I had a "portion of asparagus (approx. 230g-250g raw weight) with potatoes and noodles, melted butter or hollandaise sauce." Unfortunately, the asparagus was harder than al dente and completely flavorless; I've never been served such bad asparagus. Even when I went to the bathroom later, there was no typical asparagus smell, which is a shame.

We were in Stuttgart for business and, of course, wanted some Swabian food. The restaurant is cozy and rustic, spread over several floors. The young team is super friendly and attentive. Due to its proximity to the trade fair and airport, it naturally attracts a lot of tourists and travelers, so reservations are advisable. The food was delicious and authentic, and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos—the Maultaschen (sausages) smelled too good 😜

I can only recommend it. You have to reserve seats, things are going so well.

A good friend and I met here in this beautiful and lovingly furnished restaurant to spend a nice evening. Since I had already had dinner, I was more interested in a cold draft beer. My friend, however, was hungry and was looking forward to one of the home-style dishes on the menu. Unfortunately we were treated very unkindly by the landlord or owner with the words “Nothing to eat is not possible! This is a restaurant. If you want something to drink, go to a bar!” I would have happily spent the value of a meal on several drinks and my friend wanted to order one of the higher-priced main courses and would definitely have had several drinks with me afterwards in a cozy atmosphere. It's a shame that this is no longer possible here! The current landlord seems to be able to choose his guests in a very unfriendly manner. This is hospitality that I can happily do without and will do in this restaurant in the future! I understand that more sales can be achieved with food, which is ultimately important for the company's existence, but sensitivity and investment in guests who come back afterwards or even recommend the restaurant with good memories are at least as important!

My girlfriend took me here. The Swabian food was incredibly delicious. I had the turkey strips with vegetables and croquettes. The ambience is also great, as it seems a bit clocky and the tables are spread over different floors. Really highly recommended.

We went to Schwedenscheuer as a team for the first time and it was really good and tasty. Unfortunately, it took a while after the order was accepted because there was apparently something wrong with the receipts. We had the table at 7:30 p.m. and had our food at 8:30 p.m. Cozy atmosphere, but when it's full it's very loud and cramped. A drawback for me is that when we left the restaurant, our hair and clothes smelled of food. Otherwise highly recommended, especially the cheese spaetzle.

Hello everyone I would like to give a mega review: Firstly, we had reserved and were 3/4 hours late, but the place was still kept free for us! The food is great and the atmosphere is just like you would imagine a German restaurant to be. The prices are fair to the times. Personal hammer The boss as you imagine him! I was treated as if I had been there several times. We were visitors to the CMt for the first time I'd love to come back

An extremely cozy place for a hangout with friends and colleagues. The service is excellent! We were a group of 20 people. They were very attentive with our preferences and dietary restrictions and the food came in quite promptly. The place is very accomodating...they even join the tables if required. And the food is yummm! We ordered surf n turf, BBQ beef burger, meat steak and linsel mit spätzle...every dish had nothing but great reviews!

I always enjoyed staying with you, but I think this was my last reservation. After making a reservation online for 2 people, I received an email saying that in the event of cancellation, a seat loss of 45 euros per person would be charged. Sorry, but is it still okay? Someone can always get sick and a reservation for two people certainly won't ruin the inn if it has to be canceled for personal reasons.

The restaurant was quite full and a very young guy served around 40 guests upstairs on our floor. It's all ok. The restaurant lacks the creativity and passion that the half-timbered house exudes. We were there spontaneously for lunch and were immediately given a table and the food and drink menus. The waiter was very nice and came back quickly to take the order. My companion's cheese spaetzle was great, with delicious melted onions on top, and the side salad with a delicious dressing, especially the potato salad, was delicious. My vegetarian cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw salad was very tasty and filled me up well. We were very satisfied! Prices were also reasonable.

Our road trip in the '74 VW T2 bus was like a little sauna on wheels - 35 degrees outside, over 40 degrees in the bus, and then there was a traffic jam on the highway. You might think the adventure ends there, but no, it just got better! We had decided not to eat just any food, but something really Swabian. Then we stumbled across the restaurant “Zur Schwedenscheuer” on Google and thought to ourselves: “That sounds so quaint, we have to go there!” We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and were allowed to choose a table. The onion roast roast then arrived and I thought to myself: “Can meat be so tender? Or did the heat evaporate my mind?” But no, it was just amazingly good. The fried potatoes were perfectly crispy and the large mixed salad with Maultaschen was so huge that we briefly wondered whether we would still fit in our bus afterwards. And then the service: fast, friendly and with a sense of humor that almost made the non-alcoholic beer squirt out of our mouths. I was seriously thinking about ending the road trip here and simply ending the trip in the Schwedenscheuer. Conclusion: “Wirtshaus zur Schwedenscheuer” is not just a restaurant, but a rescue for stressed-out road trip adventurers. If you don't stop here, you're missing out on a piece of Swabian happiness on your plate. All that's left to say is: surprisingly good 😉

The inn is in a good location and is easy to find. It is comfortably furnished and you can also sit outside here. The food was very good and the portions were impressive. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely see each other again.
