Good restaurant serving local cuisine, it's good, plentiful, but nothing extraordinary. For a Bavarian inn, it lacks original beers (kraft). The place is quiet, the terrace is "shared" with the pizzeria next door, very close to the large Grafenau park (500m) and the nautical center (800m)

There were three of us: two adults and one toddler. Upon request, we were given a Bockwurst for the child, even though it wasn't on the menu. The surbraten was absolutely delicious and a huge portion. The staff was very friendly. We'd go again.

Great food and very friendly service. We were on a motorcycle holiday, and just before 2 p.m. we even got something good to eat, even though the restaurant closes at 2 p.m. We had great table neighbors from Bavaria. The roast pork was plentiful and lean, just as ordered.

Disappointing food – unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it I ate at this restaurant with my husband, and unfortunately, it was anything but convincing. My husband ordered a steak, which he described as rather bland – no seasoning, no flavor, simply boring. We wanted grilled vegetables with it, but we got some kind of vegetable mush that tasted strongly of frozen food and was poorly prepared. I tried it myself – and honestly, I haven't eaten anything so horrible in a long time. My husband paid €25 for this carelessly presented portion – completely overpriced. I ordered a Fandl (a kind of fried sausage), and I have to say that too: everything was bland, lacking in refinement, simply not good. The only positive thing: the service was very friendly – but that's not the only reason you go out to eat. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

The smelly cook throws the food onto your table. It's like eating at a food trough. You don't even need to see the cook; you can smell him from 100 meters away.

Families with children are not served here. When we asked for a table, we were allowed to choose one (almost all but one or two tables were free). From then on, however, we were deliberately ignored and looked away. After 10 minutes, we asked for the menus at the counter, but were still ignored, and no orders were taken. We left and won't be coming back.

We wanted to have lunch here today with another family. The restaurant was fairly busy at the time; I'd say almost deserted. Since we didn't get a menu after more than 15 minutes, I asked for one myself at the bar. Another 15 minutes passed, and no one served us, even though two ladies behind the counter were chatting the whole time. As we were about to leave, the excuse was that it was too busy for just one server. It's a shame, but unfortunately, it's not worth recommending.

Good selection of food. We had the surbraten (sour roast), and it was really delicious. My wife had the Ratherrenpfandl (Ratherren pan), but unfortunately, the medallion had been on the stove too long and was completely dry. Otherwise, everything was fine.

We were in Grafenau last week and had lunch here. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The Bavarian sausage salad was a child's portion at most, and as soon as it was served, I thought, 'That can't be true.' The shandy that came with it was a maximum of 30% beer, so it was very thin. We went home hungry.

Highly recommended. Almost everything in the Grafenau area is closed on Mondays. And then getting a great spot spontaneously is a stroke of luck. Super friendly service girls. Great cozy facilities. Quick food. Great selection. Nicely decorative. Super tasty. Everything is reasonable in terms of price. There are enough parking spaces around the house. We'll definitely be back. And our lovely little mini dogs should also come along next time. I think it's rare to find such a great pub.

We visited here during our vacation just before Christmas. The service was really very friendly, the dog was immediately given water without being asked and was spoiled with treats. The food was excellent. So all in all a lovely evening, highly recommended!

We were eating here today, I ordered a surbraten, my wife a duck. I have never eaten a better surbraten, the meat was really tender and the sauce was great, along with a bread dumpling and a potato dumpling. My wife was also very happy with the duck. For dessert we had apple fritters with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, it was really a treat.

We were there spontaneously and managed to get 2 seats even though the inn was very busy and was full to the last seat. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. Drinks and food came very quickly and the food was super good. We had to wait a bit for dessert, the waiter came to us and apologized that it would take a few more minutes, which was very nice of him to simply give a short bit of information.

We ate well here at a reasonable price and received friendly service. The restaurant is also attractively decorated.

We were in Grafenau today, we wanted to eat something and happened to come to Stodbärn. Food was very tasty, good Bavarian cuisine, just the way we love it. The homemade spaetzle was top. I can only recommend it and will definitely come back more often.

Food excellent. Likewise the service and the ambience! The dog was spoiled. Saturday is schnitzel day! Jägerschnitzel, Viennese style schnitzel, gypsy and cream schnitzel. Recommendation without exception.

Nine of us came and spontaneously got a table even without a reservation. The onion roast with gravy was very good, and the fried chicken with salad was nice and juicy and perfectly crispy on the outside. The cheese spaetzle was also completely eaten. For the little ones, the menu also contains a good range of children's dishes apart from the usual fries. We'd love to come back.

We were served very friendly. The selection of dishes was great; you could hardly decide. There was an extra menu for Sunday with delicious dishes. The broth with liver spaetzel was super tasty. For the main course there was bear toast (which was huge) and a Swiss plate of pork medallions with mushrooms and cheese gratinated and rösti, it was all delicious and the meat was on point and tender and the mushrooms were still firm and not mushy. The best pub far and wide and a lovely atmosphere. We definitely recommend that you take a look here. Very nice service, the food is prepared personally by the boss and you can taste it too. If desired, the meat can be fried to perfection. Actually, I always eat my beloved char fillet here, but today I wanted to try the homemade spaetzle with onion roast. The onion roast with the roasted onions are perfect anyway, but the spaetzle is a dream, I've never had better. Anyone who is in Grafenau and hasn't eaten at Stodbärn at least once has really missed something. A really great and nice service. The ambience is tailored to the "Woid" and the food...really good food with large portions at just normal prices. You can also go here with your family and come back again. Really recommended.

Not only was the roast pork a great treat, but also the coleslaw - the best I've ever eaten! Friendly and attentive service, a very nice landlady and the atmospheric town square surroundings contributed to this successful stop. All this at a very moderate price! We recommend!

Am 10.12.23 waren Freundinnen und ich dort zum Advents Essen. Sehr sehr lecker. Gemütlich eingerichtet zur Adventszeit . Die Speicherkarte ist übersichtlich und es ist eine Abwechslungsreiche Auswahl vorhanden. Ich hatte Ente ,und war mehr als zufrieden. Großen Respekt an den Chefkoch der alles allein in der Küche packt. 100% Empfehlung Ich verstehe die 1 Stern Bewertungen hier gar nicht. Entweder essen all diese Menschen daheim immer in 5 Sterne Niveau, oder haben eben gar keine Ahnung.

Hallo liebes Stodbär Team, waren gestern das zweite mal da essen und es war einfach hervorragend, ich bekam ein pyramidables Rumpsteak auf den Punkt mit knackigem Gemüse und knusprigen Pommes, super lecker zu toller preis-leistung; der Saibling war auch perfekt gegart und mega lecker. Der Zwiebelrostbraten beim ersten mal war einsame Klasse so wie man ihn kennt und ihn sich wünscht. Weiter so wir kommen wieder, und großes Lob an die super freundliche, absolut bemühte flotte Dame der Bedienung. So soll es sein!!!! Danke bis bald.

Ganz nettes, uriges Wirtshaus mit leckeren typischen Speisen. Für den Zwiebelrostbraten könnte man morden... 😉 Hier treffen sich Touristen und Einheimische sowie ein Stammtisch gesetzter Herren, von denen einige inzwischen Schorle statt Bier bestellen. Wunderbar.

Ein ganz tolles Restaurant! Wenn man davor steht, meint man gar nicht, wie groß es eigentlich ist. Innendrin ein urgemütliches Ambiente. Die Kellnerinnen sind wirklich freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl, ach vegetarische Gerichte gibt es. Wir hatten den Bärenburger mit Pommes, ich würde mal behaupten, der kann mit den amerikanischen Burgern locker mithalten. Es hat exzellent geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Preis/Leistung geht absolut in Ordnung . Alle Gerichte sind sehr lecker und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend .

Waren heute das erste Mal hier beim essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker! Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Werden sicherlich öfter kommen zum Essen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist Top!

Mittagstisch top, spez. Beilagensalat, Knödel, Kartoffelsalat und der Fisch waren super. 0,5l Tafelwasser bestellt, 0,75l Mineralwasser bekommen. Bedienung: Bargeldlose Zahlung möchte sie nicht gern (ist es schon Zeit für Wünsche??) und obwohl wir mit Bargeld ihren Wunsch erfüllt haben, jammert sie noch über meine Auswahl der Banknoten! Respekt, so frech muß man erstmal zu Gästen sein! Wer also lecker essen möchte und sich nicht an schlechtem Benehmen der Bedienung stört, ist hier richtig
