A brilliant old Franconian pub, just as it should be. The landlord is a real character and incredibly friendly!

Some self-proclaimed “local guides” misunderstand local color. “Zum Berckhauser” is one of them and Karl Heinz has been running this district pub exactly as it is since the mid-1960s. Without him and his pub something would be missing. Good thing, the K.H. doesn't care about social media and can't even read disrespectful reviews.

You should definitely be in the mood for authentic Franconian cuisine. Don't forget your Schafkopf cards!

It starts with the fact that the schnitzel inside suddenly costs €2 more than it says on the menu outside. Instead of the "mixed salad," I was served a plate of coleslaw from a bucket. The meat was tough, and the "potato salad" was inedible in my opinion. The interior design skillfully rounds out the overall impression.

Impressive. District pub. Living room, cultural asset, contact exchange. Simply good, rustic. Food and Drink. Relaxed and absolutely inexpensive. Many thanks and respect to the owner.

Gemütlich und ein sehr netter Wirt. Einfach klasse

Schönes Wirtshaus am Eck, liebevoll eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich um ein paar Jahrzehnte zurück versetzt, was aber den Charme dieses Lokals ausmacht. Gutes Bier, leckeres Essen, ein freundlicher Wirt. Preis/Leistung ist hier völlig in Ordnung.

Und was soll man über seine Stammkneipe schreiben? Ein Wirtshaus wie es in der Stadt selten ist. Urige Einrichtung, uriger Wirt was will man mehr ;)
