Everything is great, we're thrilled. We're here for the weekend and have already made a reservation at the restaurant for tomorrow.

We enjoy going to the Wirtshaus zu den Mainterrassen (Inn at the Main Terraces). In the summer, the terrace is lovely to sit on, and even now in winter, the atmosphere is cozy. We've never been disappointed by the food, and the service is always friendly.

We stumbled upon the Wirtshaus zu den Mainterrassen by chance. The welcome was very friendly, and the server even helped me with my mobile phone problem. We ordered Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and Wiener Schnitzel. As a starter, I ordered a small side salad, which was so delicious that I immediately ordered a second one. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely go back there.

Based on the many good reviews, we'd been wanting to eat here for a while. We finally did and were disappointed. We can't understand the many positive reviews. The schnitzels were rock hard, very dry, and completely tasteless. The fries were okay. Only the side salad was really tasty. The atmosphere is more like a train station, and it's extremely loud. Perhaps it was just an off day in the kitchen… What a shame.

A comfortable, traditional atmosphere. If you're craving a schnitzel or roast on a Sunday lunchtime, this is definitely the place to go. There are also a few vegetarian options on the menu. The food is definitely tasty.

We were there for lunch today. I had the stuffed Wutz (pork schnitzel), a stuffed schnitzel with onions, cheese, and ham. It was the best schnitzel I've ever eaten. We can only recommend it. We visited the Wirtshaus zu den Mainterrassen for the first time on Sunday. We really enjoyed it. The service, ambiance, and food were absolutely perfect! My boyfriend had the salmon salad. I had the tenderloin in a jacket with chanterelle cream – simply delicious! We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is located next to a large public parking lot directly on the Main River. The quality and presentation of the food is beautiful, and the taste is outstanding! The service is very good and attentive. Overall, a very positive experience! We look forward to our next visit to the Mainterrassen. The two stuffed pig dishes deserve special mention. The service was fast, friendly, and very attentive. The food was incredibly delicious; we had the stuffed pig, baked cheese spaetzle, and roast beef with onions. For dessert, we had crème brûlée and lava cake.

A spontaneous Sunday meal was absolutely possible here at the inn. Easy reservations, friendly service, a beautifully quiet location, and yet a playground for children on the Main meadows where they can run around, while you can still hear the rustling of the leaves in the large trees along the Main. The food was fresh, attractively presented, and the portions were absolutely adequate. We'd be happy to come back. Also worth mentioning are the unusual drinks, such as fresh smoothies and various aperitifs. We returned after a year and left feeling indulged and happy. The side salad was heavenly, with real lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce and a delicious dressing. The iced tea was fruity and subtle. Delicious cheese oozed from the cordon bleu; they don't skimp on anything here. I had to have the Frankfurter schnitzel again and was sooooo satisfied. This time it was the lukewarm potato and cucumber salad, and it was sensational! Great service...we'll be back in the fall because we definitely want to try the roast...

We left our hotel, where we were stranded due to a cancelled flight in Frankfurt, and were glad we did. There was a great atmosphere and a lively promenade with a cosy veranda to sit on. The food was great – we had schnitzel and spaetzle, all accompanied by some great beer. There was no English menu, but that only added to the authentic local atmosphere. This place was a real bright spot on a difficult day of travel and we would happily return.

Tip Top, everything is simply super!!!! I recommend sitting outside in this beautiful weather, the view of the Main River and the delicious food are unique. Just enjoy the perfect moment. Wir haben draußen gegessen an einem schönen Samstag im Juni ohne Reservierung und waren begeistert von dem Essen dem Team und vorallen vom Ambiente und dem Blick zum Main ! Es gab nix auszusetzen schneller guter freundlicher Service trotz vollem Haus . Mein Empfehlung ist die scharfe Wutz und der Crunchy Backfisch 😍 Bitte macht weiter so liebes Wirtshaus Team

Nice, good restaurant on the Main River. The food was delicious, but the waitress asked too often if everything was OK or if we wanted more. We sat outside on the benches, which unfortunately was a bit of a problem for my back, as they were more like lying down than sitting.

We were there on a Sunday lunch/afternoon and got a table for four without a reservation. Very friendly staff took our order quickly and served it promptly...and the food arrived at the table in a timely manner. Very tasty and generous portions! Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, and roast pork. Highly recommended...we'll be back and will recommend it to others...

The atmosphere on the terrace was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Main River. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. And the apple wine from the regional Stier winery was also delicious. The restaurant is definitely worth recommending.

We tried the restaurant today and were unfortunately disappointed. The outside area is a bit dated. When we got the food, we were even more disappointed. It was awful. A large plate with a scoop of fries and 25 fries, and a red sauce. Then we had salmon with salad that was completely dry. It all reminded me of canteen food. The only good thing was the friendly service.

We absolutely loved the restaurant, from reserving the seats, to the food and drinks, to the fantastically committed and absolutely friendly service staff. All in all, it was a fantastic evening in a great restaurant, which is already showing its age but is absolutely convincing due to its hospitality.

The food is always unique and excellent. There are always plenty of large portions and still excellently prepared. The salad dressing is very special

My colleague and I ate there today. He treated himself to a schnitzel. Taste great, enough to fill you up. I treated myself to an Alsatian-style schnitzel. And before that, a side dish. This is exactly my place to go - here the food and the service are great! I just don't give 5 stars because I only give them for star cuisine - but it's really delicious here - so it's more like 4.5!

I was a dedicated fan of the restaurant for years and did a lot of advertising for it. Unfortunately, success makes you feel full and there is a regression to the lower mediocrity. For years, the menu has only been broken down into two "copy & paste" templates: "fresh asparagus" (even if the season in Hesse is definitely over) and then "fresh" chanterelles (wherever they come from) until the asparagus season next year. The only innovation in between was a delicious celery soup, which again went off plan. No question - the kitchen crew and the boss Alex have pushed real delicacies out from under the salamander in the past and unfortunately have now found themselves stuck at this high - but boring - level. The service staff and the kitchen are really great with the side effect that nothing works without a reservation (especially in summer) - for me personally, due to the "copy & paste" rigidity of the menu, this location is temps perdu and time to move on and discover new things (such as the Erbstädter Landgasthaus).

It was my first time in Hesse over the weekend and I had a very good meal there on Friday. The food was great, the service was nice and you didn't have to wait long for the food! It was so good that I went straight back on Sunday. I can really recommend it!

Recently I had Stuffed Wutz Alsatian style (great) and this time Zurich Geschnetzeltes with spaetzle, again perfect. For salad fans: everything is always super fresh and best of all: never an industrial-prepared sauce!!

Heute habe ich mich zunächst gegen die Lendchen im Mäntelchen entschieden und die Rinderroulade bestellt. War selbstverständlich kein Fehler. Sooo lecker. Wünschte aber anstelle der Klöse den Kartoffelstampf. Auch das war für mich die richtige Entscheidung, weil ich den hier liebe. Die Lendchen im Mäntelchen habe ich mir dann trotzdem noch bestellt für morgen zu Hause. Die sind halt mein absoluter Favorit in den Mainterrassen. Danke für die schönen Abende bei euch ❤
