Der Service wirkt überfordert. Essen wurde vergessen oder falsch gebracht. Zugegeben wurde das nicht. Ich werde nicht mehr wiederkommen.

We love the Spitz inn. Visited by chance for the first time at Carnival and went there today for dinner and got delicious Belgian-style mussels. The employees are super nice, always open to having fun. The warmth is unsurpassable. Cologne music and food in a rustic Cologne atmosphere. It couldn't be better!

We were in the Gasthaus Spitz for the third time today and it was great as always! The service, especially from lovely Eddy, was outstanding. We also ate something on site: Mettbrötchen, goulash soup, beef broth and Leberkäse with fried potatoes, everything was very tasty and the price/performance ratio was really great! We'll definitely be back! :-)

Luca Eddy and Jenny have demonstrated great host skills. I can only recommend it.

A family-run, down-to-earth brewery with amazingly good food in a cozy atmosphere. Recommended at any time! Also worth highlighting are the seasonal dishes, such as the mussels (in the photo "Belgian style")

The portion size is generous, ideal for those who are very hungry. A real treat for anyone who loves hearty home cooking! The Wirtshaus Spitz also impresses with a cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. Absolutely recommended!

Good beers and good food, our waitress had only been working there for 2 days but was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately not a good experience. Vegetarian was ordered, meat was delivered, but unfortunately the waiter was completely unreasonable. The salad we ordered didn't come, but it was on the bill and the waiter insisted that he had delivered a salad. There wasn't even the will to ask in the kitchen. At least the salad that was not delivered was removed from the bill after a long discussion. Addendum to the restaurant's answer: after deleting the salad, the bill came to €70.60, we were supposed to pay €70, a small gesture of goodwill, but not 15%. It's not true that there was a round of Kölsch on the house.

I enjoyed an unusually delicious schnitzel with a friend and drank a wonderfully delicious Kölsch. The 2 boys who served us rounded off the visit perfectly, absolutely awesome!

We were there twice. The first time half the food was cold and we always waited forever for the Kölsch. Now, after 90 minutes of waiting, we were told that our order had not arrived in the kitchen. 2 Kölsch at the same time. I recommend visiting the other breweries in the area that have at least some experience in terms of service

So the food was very poor. Waited over an hour before we got it. The meat is way too dry. I got potatoes instead of rice and it was just ready-made sauce. My daughter ordered skewers roast with fried potatoes and a side salad. She only got the fried potatoes and later a spit roast roll which was inedible. Simply impossible and not recommended.

Been there for the first and last time today. The number of visitors is manageable, everything inside is empty, half of it is free outside. I ordered spit roast with fried potatoes and a side salad, after an hour only the fried potatoes arrived. When the spit roast and salad still hadn't arrived 10 minutes later and my three companions had almost finished eating, I asked the waitress where the spit roast and salad were, after all, you don't want the fried potatoes cold and eaten with the rest of the food eat. Waitress disappeared, came back 4 minutes later, said the cook had mixed something up and if I still wanted the food I would have to wait a long time, but they could bring me a spit roast roll in 5 minutes. This wasn't really tasty, meat was more than dry, sauce on meat and spit roast was indefinable. Let over half go back again. Then another waiter came and asked about the problem, which we explained to him, but he then made a mistake in his tone and choice of words. This can also scare away guests. He should just be aware that he is dependent on the guests and not the other way around because as a guest I can also spend my money elsewhere, which I will do in the future.

The operators have taken the lead here over the last 20 years. Why actually? The Spitz is actually very cozy, especially inside, and doesn't have to hide from other inns. For a few years now, we've had solid brewery cuisine (again) that's of decent quality. The only thing I'm not particularly keen on at the moment is the pricing, as the Spitz unfortunately follows the general trend. The service is mostly quick and friendly, there is nothing to complain about. Overall, a solid, home-style alternative in Veedel. Four stars.

Addendum to the owner's answer: We were very happy on Thursday, August 25th. In their inn! The fact that the young, overwhelmed waitress and her very nice older colleague cannot remember the incident, especially since I asked in the restaurant whether the bill could be corrected so that I could pay by card, only adds to the problem Crown up! Never again! First the waitress forgot the food order. When we asked, she wanted to know what we actually ordered. The restaurant was manageably busy. The food came soon, but the fried potatoes, bacon and onions were burnt, as was the breading from the schnitzel, which is why it was dry. When we wanted to pay afterwards and the waitress came with the bill, I said that I wanted to pay by card. I was then told that this wasn't possible, that I should have said this beforehand (it would have been YOUR job to ask me) and that if I didn't have enough cash, I would just have to go to the ATM. That's probably not possible! Luckily, my husband and I still had enough money with us. You definitely can't recommend this place 👎

Bad service, subpar food, double billing. Old-established pub or not, something like that doesn't work! If I don't have any capacity, simply reduce the card!

I ordered food, after more than half an hour of waiting the employee informed me that the food was not available even though it was on the menu for Thursday.

It was my first visit to the Spitz inn and definitely not the last! We were very satisfied and can only recommend it. A great Cologne inn!

My parents, who are almost 80 years old, wanted to enjoy a cozy tavern atmosphere on Monday lunchtime. Comfortable turned into threatening and insulting after it was announced that the quality was subpar (mainly greasy in the frying pan) and also cold. Eating back to the kitchen and now a schnitzel, again miserable. The boss then became abusive and the son acted like a bouncer. Paid 40 euros for 2 Kölsch and a salad. The Wirtshaus Spitz on Neusser Strasse was once a cozy Cologne institution, but today it's not even a convenience store and has a low-level boss with limited empathy for the customers and an arrogance that can no longer be improved. Absolutely not recommended.

since the group that invited probably had a small budget and couldn't really invite a total of 20 people, Everything was very spartan, the person who was the waiter was stressed, they could actually only give out glasses of water, non-alcoholic beer and 3 cappucinos upon order. Nicely meant for a funeral gathering, but also the wrong location, just a bit too rustic.

Das Essen entsprach den Erwartungen, wenn man in ein Brauhaus geht. Spargel, Kartoffeln sehr gut. Schnitzel sehr, sehr groß. Sauce Hollandaise aus der Packung in die Microwelle. Neue Kellnerin ab 19:00 Uhr. Sie muss ruhiger werden.

Of the 7 meals, 3 were incorrect, either something was forgotten or the side dish was wrong, and one meal was completely wrong. The managing director, a young man, wears shorts and sits behind the counter with his cell phone in his hand. There's another way. The older "Köbes" tries to be funny, but is also a bit cheeky at times, which not every paying guest can tolerate!! I don't have to leave my money there again. To the answer from Wirtshaus Spitz; I think you're playing me for a fool. “The counter man” was wearing shorts! But whatever, all the best for you and your restaurant!!

Brauhaus atmosphere, ideal for drinking a cool Kölsch. Unfortunately, the food was subpar, we were a group of 20 people and almost all of the dishes were almost inedible. The traditional rye roll was an old, hard wheat roll, the soup was way too peppery, and the meatball wasn't freshly prepared either. A pity!

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city my twin brother and I decided to drop into Wirthaus Spitz and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit to this tavern that's over a 120 years old,interior is superb, traditional, characterful, a cool looking serving bar, etched glass features, dark wood features abound throughout this tavern, wonderful eclectic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Neusser Straße. We grabbed a table were two kölsch beers from Gaffel Brauerei were deposited in front of us, our beer mat had two ticks wrote on it to indicate how many beers we'd drunk and we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular tavern. A big fan of the various kölsch beers available in Cologne and the kölsch beers brewed by Gaffel Brauerei are one of the most prevalent and one of the tastiest, a straw coloured ale style beer, hoppy, bursting with taste and very easy to drink, when this kölsch beer is served freezing cold as in this tavern its such a refreshing beer indeed,hardly surprising that this tavern is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to Wirthaus Spitz we were totally impressed. Wirthaus Spitz is easy to locate along Neusser Straße. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11.30am. Well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

What can I say? Wrong food orders are delivered and unfortunately it also takes forever to deliver new drinks. It has to be said that the inn was empty. At least the food was delicious.

Ich komme nach Feierabend immer wieder gerne hierher. Entweder auf zwei bis drei lecker Kölsch unter netten Menschen, oder zum Essen. Das Ambiente ist brauhausmäßig schummrig-urig und gemütlich. Viel Platz auch für größere Gruppen. Bisher habe ich weder mit dem Essen noch mit dem Personal Probleme gehabt. Mir gegenüber sind alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter bisher immer freundlich und zuvorkommend gewesen. Da habe ich schon deutlich schlechteren Service in der näheren Umgebung erlebt. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Vegane und vegetarische Speisen werden angeboten sowie Kinderteller. Als Kleinigkeiten zum Kölsch kann ich die hausgemachte Frikadelle und die Metthappen empfehlen. Ebenfalls empfehlenswert ist der Blick auf die die Wochenkarte mit täglich wechselnden Gerichten. Alles wird hier frisch zubereitet. Möhren mit Kartoffeln untereinander mit Frikadelle war zuletzt mein Highlight. Das Haxenfleisch, den Doppel Cheese Burger, das Paprikaschnitzel, die Riesen-Currywurst und das Kölsche Cordon Bleu kann ich auch empfehlen. Satt wird man auf jeden Fall! Neben dem schön gekühlten Gaffel-Kölsch kann ich das "Bitburger Eifelbräu" in einem ansehnlichen 0,3l Humpen empfehlen.

Das Spitz hat sich mittlerweile echt gemacht. Kaltes Gaffel, leckeres Essen und der selbstgemachte Eierlikör. Viele jüngere Leute aus dem Veedel haben es auch entdeckt, so dass hier eine schöne Mischung und an Menschen reinkommen. Und drinnen ist es einfach urig. Eine echte Alternative zu den sonstigen alteingesessenen Wirtshäusern auf der Neusser im Agnesviertel. Weiter so.

Die Mayo ist echt eklig. Aber sonst lecker.

Wirtshaus Spitz (Established 1902) was one of the many pubs/bars and restaurants me and my twin brother went to on our holiday in Cologne.We visited Cologne to go to it's Christmas Market's but we also enjoy there pubs/bars and restaurant's and this place was as good as it gets. Located in Neusser Straße'this is a brilliant wirthaus that has stood the test of the time as this wirthaus has superb decor and lot's of interesting fixtures and features and lots of good seating area's throughout it's very historic interior. With a fantastic food and drinks range and very pleasant staff'its a great place to visit for a meal or a couple of drinks.On our visit we had Gaffel Kölsch beer's which were 1st rate and well priced. A superb wirthaus thats well worth going to and is easy to locate from the tram/u-bahn or bus stop's at Ebertplatz it's a short walk. (This is my first review of Wirthaus Spitz). Opening Hours. Ich war mit meiner Familie zum Gänseessen dort. Wir hatten für Sonntag, 12:30 Uhr, einen Tisch reserviert. Man hatte uns später erwartet: im Computer stand 14:00 Uhr, das Tischkärtchen wies sogar 15:00 Uhr aus. Kann ja mal passieren. Guten Mutes wählten wir vier mal das Gänsemenü, bestehend aus Vorsuppe, Gänsebraten und Dessert. Schon auf die Suppe mussten wir lange warten. Was uns serviert wurde, war eine muffig schmeckende Brühe mit verkochtem Gemüse, Fleisch, Haut- und Knocheneinlage, dafür aber gänzlich ungesalzen. Ernüchtert ließen wir das meiste davon zurückgehen und hofften auf die Gans. Circa 1 Stunde mussten wir auf das Hauptgericht warten. Nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage wurde uns das Essen vom unfreundlichen Wirt mit unwirschen Worten hingeknallt, als seien wir Insassen einer Gefängniskantine. Das Fleisch der Gans war extrem zäh, die Haut labberig. Klöße und Rotkohl waren essbar, aber schmeckten wie durchschnittliche Fertigware. Auch das Dessert war unterer Durchschnitt, aber fast noch das Beste am ganzen Menü. Am Ende nahm man uns für den ganzen Spaß inklusive einiger alkoholfreier Getränke 180 € ab. Es gab kein ein Wort des Bedauerns, keine Entschuldigung und schon gar kein Angebot eines Getränks aufs Haus angesichts der peinlichen Performance. Im Gegenteil, man nahm das Geld so selbstverständlich entgegen, als hätte man seine Gäste in einem Sternerestaurant zu ihrer vollsten Zufriedenheit bewirtet. Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste und teuerste Essen, dass mir jemals in einem solchen Rahmen untergekommen ist. Und dann wirbt das Haus auch noch auf seiner Wildkarte mit ‚erlesenen’ Weinen, die man zum Menü wählen könne. Das ist alles gewollt und nicht gekonnt. Ich bin wirklich eine Zeit lang gern dorthin gegangen, aber solange das Haus unter diesen Pächtern ist, sieht man mich dort nicht wieder .

Super Kneipe, top Personal und gemütliches Ambiente!

Wir waren am Sonntag zu 7. da, mit Reservierung. Die Getränke und auch das Essen ließen in Anbetracht des leeren Ladens viel zu lange auf sich warten. Mein Gericht kam einfach gar nicht, alle anderen waren schon fertig mit Essen! Zwischendurch konnte man einen lauten Streit aus der Küche hören- super unprofessionell. Es gab offensichtlich Schwierigkeiten- es wurde sich aber nicht entschuldigt, sondern noch der Fehler bei mir gesucht ("Du bist ja auch später gekommen" - Quatsch!) Als ich endlich das Essen vor mir hatte und hungrig anfangen wollte zu essen, sagte ich lediglich, dass es sehr ärgerlich ist, dass ich jetzt alleine essen muss. Die (ich denke mal) Chefin ließ nicht locker, meinte Fehler sind menschlich und sie hätte sich ja schon entschuldigt, was bis dato nicht passiert ist! Anstatt mir als Kundin entgegen zu kommen, das Essen zu erstatten o.Ä., zog sie mir die Gabel aus der Hand, den Teller unter der Nase weg und schmiss unseren ganzen Tisch raus! Wir sollten gehen, ohne zu zahlen. Wie unverhältnismäßig, kindisch und unwirtschaftlich! Wahnsinn! Sowas habe ich echt noch nie erlebt!

Schnitzel kann man gut essen. Jedoch hat sich die Kellnerin ein Schnitzel mit Holandaise statt Champignonrahmsauce notiert. Als der Fehler aufgefallen ist wurde das fertige Schnitzel mit Holandaise umgedreht und mit Champignonrahmsauce nochmal nicht mehr ganz warm serviert. Das gehört sich meiner Meinung nach nicht.

Bis auf eine Bedienung, sehr schnarchig. Digitales Bestellsystem lief nicht.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal Mein Essen Bratkartoffeln Spiegeleier Bratwurst war super. Grade Bratkartoffeln kann nicht jeder aber die sind wie von Muttern Was ich gegenüber anderen lokalen gut 👍 finde ist der Rollstuhl ♿ gerechte Eingang Und auch mein Hund war willkommen Also gerne wieder
