Buena y abundante comida alemana en un restaurante tipico. Servicio atento. Precios adecuados. Regionalismo abierto: no sirven sólo de barril la cerveza oscura regional, la Alt, sino también la cerveza clara típica del rival renano de Colonia, el Kölsch, además de cervezas de mayor cuerpo como Pils y Weizen.

Atmosphere (cozy), staff (friendly, attentive and pleasant), food (Obatster, goat cheese and meat loaf and so on) and of course the drinks (delicious light beer on tap) are simply perfect! Fijne en gezellige lokatie. Het viel ons op dat er geen muziek werd gedraaid wat wij als zeer prettig ervaarde. De bediening was ondanks de drukte zeer attent. Het eten was erg lekker en werd heel vlot geserveerd. Kortom een echte aanrader

Very nice atmosphere indoors and outdoors! The staff is very nice and always ready to help. The toilets are clean too! The veal schnitzel with fried potatoes was very good, the potatoes were a bit flabby, but with a little salt and pepper they were also very tasty! I prefer to season myself instead of getting an oversalted dish ;) The prices correspond to the dishes and fit the overall concept. We'll be back!

It was very tasty and sufficient, the staff was very accommodating. We were pretty much the last and to my credit I probably twisted my knee while sitting. With the help of the staff and an Ikea children's chair, I was able to support myself to the door. My friend's car was there and drove me straight to the hospital. So thank you very much to the staff, we will be back.

Beautiful, rustic tavern atmosphere in the heart of Kempen. We spontaneously took a look and decided to have something to eat in the beer garden. Was there enough space and the weather to match the ambience or was it the other way around? In any case, we ate an enjoyable and appropriately good home-style meal that lived up to its name. Everything was good, the portions were a bit too big and very tasty. It's worth it.

The meat was very dry. The potatoes aren't that crispy. With the number of flies you should do something about it. Opposite the Turkish restaurant you have e.g. E.g. these electric fans that scare away the flies. My neighbor only had flies around him. I was sorry about that.

We were warmly welcomed on a Sunday afternoon and got a table even without a reservation. The ambience and service were without exception good. For starters we had Obazda with pretzels, bread and salad and for the main course we had cordon bleu, veal schnitzel with cucumber salad and sauerbraten. All the dishes not only looked good, but also tasted excellent. We'll be back!

It was a coincidence that we saw this sign as we walked past. Showed up for the appointment at 7:30 p.m. It was already very well filled. A very nice evening with great music and atmosphere. Dancing was even possible to a limited extent. Great service especially from the very nice and experienced waiter. Gladly again!! A restaurant only open three days a week but offering an ambience and service not to be missed. Reservations are absolutely recommended, no problem via the internet. After an immediate confirmation, you will receive a reminder message in good time. There is an extensive menu on site, making a choice is not easy. The service is exemplary and the dishes are very tasty.

A quaint restaurant with very good food. The menu also offers something for vegetarians. I ate the bison chicken. Others at our table had the knuckle with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. There was also schnitzel with fries or chicken nuggets for the children. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The portions were reasonably large and the price seemed fair to me. Dogs are also welcome. It certainly won't be our last visit.

Very nice restaurant, cozy winter garden, in the summer also outside in the beer garden. Good home cooking, a good selection, something for everyone. The food was very appetizingly prepared and tasty. The sauces for the schnitzel (we all had a different one) didn't go down well with us. The rest of the main course was good! The service was very nice and attentive. We definitely felt comfortable and would love to come back.

Price performance is ok, the service is great at the beginning, but decreases a bit towards the end. Simply look at the table more often and offer service is the simple solution ;-)

Once again absolutely great! The only weak point was that, because there was a late shift worker who couldn't finish until 9:00 p.m. at the earliest, I asked when making the reservation what time you had to order by in order to get something, whereupon I was told “Until 10:00 p.m. no problem!”. But when he got there at 9:45 p.m. it was like “Yeah, nope! There's no one there at 9:30 p.m. But then the guys there skillfully saved the situation by quickly putting together something that was good for everyone.

Went for dinner with a group of 8 people. The place was full. The service staff was overwhelmed, the food came to the table lukewarm, steaks were ordered medium and came back twice. No apology or anything from management. Sad

Sehr schönes rustikales Lokal. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe da. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Schnitzel mit verschiedenen Soßen und Bratkartoffeln oder Pommes Frittes. Alles sehr lecker. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wie immer gut gegessen und getrunken, schade, dass es das Angebot nur noch am Wochende gibt.

Eigentlich wollten wir ja auf die Kirmes danach zum Treppchen aber haben dann eine Runde über die Kirmes gedreht und muss ja leider sagen schade ist nicht mehr wie früher. Aber dafür haben wir dann einen schönen und leckeren Abend im Treppchen verbracht

One of the best restaurants in Kempen! Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and fast personnel and of course great local food. Reservations are almost always needed as it is a favourite among the locals. Try the Kempener Gröstl! And come on foot or by bike so you can enjoy the cobbled streets of the old town and mingle with the locals a bit more ;)
