Great and dignified ambience, very good and friendly service and the food is simply of the best quality.

I was there for the first time. At the beginning the service was okay, but then the misery started. Of the eight meals, three were initially incorrect and had to be brought back. The portions were large and most were satisfied with their meal. I had the veal Wiener Schnitzel. I found it fried way too long and the breading stuck to the meat as if it was a convenience product. After eating, the plates weren't cleared for ages and when the first part was cleared, no one came for the second part. Which also meant we couldn't order anything to drink anymore. The prices are very high. For me it was the first and last time.

Today we, 2 adults with 2 children, wanted to have some refreshment in the Herzogenhof after a hike in great weather. We arrived and sat down in the beer garden, where a few, but not too many, tables were already occupied. We sat at a table for about 15 minutes and no attention was paid to us at all, other guests who came after us were immediately served, cards brought, etc. The waiter walked past us several times and looked at us, but no reaction, none at all. We then got up and left, absolutely not recommended......sad since we are from Odenthal ourselves. And it wasn't as if the waiter was stressed or just had too much to do. Too bad.

The staff was very friendly, the food for 27 people was delicious. The conversation with Mr. Napieray was friendly and was carried out to our satisfaction in all respects. I would like to thank you again and will be happy to recommend your restaurant.

Were there for the first time. Always heard only good things. The food was excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. Acoustics were a little loud but that's part of it. However, I found some of the dishes to be overpriced. But everything is getting more expensive. Otherwise everything was great. We'd love to come back. Evening reservation required. We had reserved online the day before and specifically asked for a table in the main room. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were offered a very uncomfortable table in the next room. We politely declined and looked elsewhere. It's a shame ☹️

We went there for dinner today. The reception by a male employee was very snooty - a waiter🤣 The food wasn't good for all of us. There was something to complain about in every dish. The tagliatelle with truffle pesto and porcini mushrooms was just awful. The pasta was overcooked, absolutely no truffle taste and the frozen ones!!! Porcini mushrooms mushy. And this at a time when there are wonderful fresh porcini mushrooms!!!!! However, the female waiter was very, very friendly. You don't have to have ALL of that again!

Unfortunately, price/performance is not right. The atmosphere is chic, the Kölsch is well tempered and tapped. Staff friendly superficial. I didn't like the food at all, but that's just a matter of taste. Unfortunately for me it's definitely not appropriate for the price level.

Nach einem spontanen Besuch in Odenthal hat meinem Mann und mir, dass Wirtshaus Herzogenhof von der Optik und der bayrischen Speisekarte sehr gefallen, wir wollten dort zu Mittag essen. Nach kurzer Nachfrage bei einem Servicemitarbeiter haben wir uns in den Außenbereich gesetzt. Leider hat uns der besagte Servicemitarbeiter (männlich, bärtig) keines Blickes mehr gewürdigt. Obwohl einige Gäste draußen gesessen haben und er diese Gäste bedient hat. Nach einiger Zeit ist ein weiteres Paar gekommen und denen wurde die Karte gebracht und nach Getränken wurde gefragt. Wir sind dann aufgestanden und gegangen, da wir hier scheinbar gestört haben. Ich weiß nicht was wir diesem Menschen getan haben, würde mich interessieren......

It was the best meal in a long time and everything was just right: taste, quality and portion size. Added to this was the very friendly and absolutely professional staff. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend the Wirtshaus Herzogenhof 😊

First of all I would like to say that the food was very tasty, although it could have been hotter. But the taste was really great. We found the service rather bad. There were a lot of people walking around, nobody noticed us. A lady then came visibly annoyed, although I had the feeling that she was annoyed by her colleagues who didn't serve us. The mood among the employees seemed bad. There was a lot of shouting between each other, which I found rather unpleasant and inappropriate. We weren't asked for a second drink, the gentleman who took the cash didn't ask if it was tasty. After ordering, the next table was told there were no more fries. It all seemed very chaotic. Too bad.

Although not exactly cheap, but very tasty. Everything else is good too!

We visited this restaurant during our motorcycle tour but were not greeted warmly (the food was good average though) maybe it's because we are motorcyclists so it's not recommended for motorcyclists

Unfortunately very expensive food. For e.g. a “half rooster” Paying 9 euros is quite expensive. Or for a burger 20 euros... . Due to the higher costs. The food (burgers, bratwurst, schnitzel...) was very good. The service was friendly, but was sometimes overwhelmed as all the tables outside were occupied on the day we visited. The beer benches were not sanded. A friend caught two splinters.

Fold Pork Burger? I ordered a pork burger and it was really delicious. We only ordered one beer and one hamburger and shared it between two people, but the portions were quite large, and looking at the food on other tables, there were a lot of menu items. My husband was impressed as soon as he took a bite of the burger.

The ambience of the brewery is a matter of taste... just modern, has nothing to do with classic breweries. Counter? Not really. And prices...really now? 0.7 liters of water for €7.30...that's how you lose guests.

Die Qualität des Essens war -- wie immer - hervorragend, der Service schnell und aufmerksam. Trotz voll besetzter Terrasse war die Wartezeit nicht übermäßig lang. Wenn es Eins zu bemängeln gibt - aber das mag individuell verschieden empfunden werden - war es die Musik aus den Lautsprechern, die nur schwer zu ertragen war, wenn man nicht auf diese Art steht.

Our group of 12 people was summoned to the Herzogenhof's premises on a Sunday afternoon three weeks ago, even though there was enough space outside. Some only ordered coffee, others ordered waffles with it. I just ordered an ice cream. The guests continued to be provided with lunch both inside and outside. After some time the drinks came and we were informed that the waffles would still last. So we had to keep waiting. Newly arriving guests were now allowed to sit outside and we were again asked to be patient with the waffles; the cook would now start preparing them. We had been waiting for about 1 1/2 hours now. After what felt like another 30 minutes, waffles and my ice cream were served. I had ordered an orange-passionfruit-mango ice cream and a Malaga ice cream came instead. The lady who served us was very friendly, no question. But the organization and the friendliness of the owner left a lot to be desired.

Salad was delicious, very fresh, Asian chicken was very tender, but unfortunately there was too much dressing on the salad, since the dressing is already well seasoned, the spicy taste was too strong in every bite. Service top and even though the salad costs 19 euros, which made me skeptical at first, there was enough chicken on it, special salads were chosen, avocado, seeds, etc. And delicious dark baguette. The price-performance ratio was right again. Definitely coming back.

Sehr mäßig Hähnchen Streifen sind eher TK waren sehr trocken. Zwiebel auf Himmel und Äd nicht frisch hergestellt. Auf Lebensmittel Allergien kann nicht gut reagiert werden, obwohl Beilagen andere Gerichte einen Tausch möglich machen könnten.

We had dinner at Herkenrather Hof after a bike tour. After waiting at the front we were shown to the table and ordered two drinks. A short time later we were asked if we would like to eat something. We ordered currywurst with fries. After the currywurst arrived a short time later, we noticed that the sausage was cold. I then told the waiter that the sausage was cold and in response I was told in a rather unfriendly tone: The currywurst has been on your table for 15 minutes! However, this was not true. We pointed it out to the waiter right after we ate a piece of the sausage. He then wanted to know which of the ladies brought us food and left without a word. The waiter then stood at the front of the waiting area with another waitress with red hair and got excited. A short time later a new currywurst arrived without a word. Neither in between nor after we paid did we ask whether everything was good and whether we liked it. There was no apology either, they just said the food had been on the table for 15 minutes. It's a shame that people react like this and instead of simply apologizing and bringing a new one, the customers are blamed. The waiter should be trained on how to deal with customers sensibly. This has never happened to us before. A pity! Otherwise the food tasted good

After driving past it again and again over the past few years, I've been to the Herzogenhof quite often now, both indoors and outdoors. The service is always very good and courteous, the food is always delicious and plentiful and the atmosphere inside and outside is really nice. The plus point outside is the electric roof and the side blinds, which allow you to stay outside even when the weather changes.

The good and beautiful Herzogenhof… always worth an uncomplicated visit! Almost a landmark in Odenthal and for some time now (2021) under new management, it has really been a great alternative to the Postschänke, which we often visit! - great people (boss, staff…) - honest, varied cuisine with a twist… - Very fair price! Since we moved, we haven't been to Odenthal as often and therefore not in the restaurant as often... on bike tours... but we always like to stop for a Kölsch and usually a delicious dish! We were there last Saturday quite unplanned. One of our sons got married in the registry office across the street at 2:00 p.m., after which there was to be a one and a half hour champagne reception with a few homemade appetizers outside in the park from 2:30 p.m. before we went on to the wedding location. The construction had already begun... the rain radar showed increasingly more rain from 3 p.m. 🙈! I got cold feet and called the Herzogenhof shortly before 1 p.m. and asked if they could help us out! Chef Napi on the line... simply amazing... within 1 minute he agreed that he would free up half of the beer garden "under the roof" and that we could set up our things there. Simply unbelievably great... From just before 3 p.m. it was pouring rain! The Gaffel Kölsch tasted even better than it did there anyway. Thank you very much, dear Napi (and your team), for the uncomplicated and great help. We will never forget that... we look forward to your next visit SOON!

Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht mehr, alles ist teurer geworden, die Essensqualität deutlich schlechter! Wiener Schnitzel (angeblich vom Kalb, habe da Zweifel, es war anders als früher, ein großes Fleischstück, mit der Maschine geschnitten, absolut gleichmäßig dick und dann frittiert), früher war es anders, plattgeklopfte Kalbsschnizel und frisch in der Pfanne gebraten. Jetzt ist alles teuer und alles ist vorbereitetes Convenience Food. Da hilft nur Abstimmung mit den Füßen, woanders stimmt Preis/Leistung noch!

The country pork schnitzel with porcini mushroom cream was so tasty and meeeggaaa...tender and if you like homemade buttons, I highly recommend it, they were so buttery soft, melted in your mouth and that The salad is also very fresh and delicious! The Brauhausbürger with the pulled pork cooked for 16 hours was also very tasty, smoked taste with a slight sweetness. You'll definitely lick your fingers afterwards. Every dish was freshly prepared and tasted a real highlight. The generous portions were particularly impressive and left us completely satisfied. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right here. The prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, I can only warmly recommend this restaurant. When the weather is nice, the large outdoor terrace is definitely worth a visit.

Wit were here at 6pm without a reservation on Mother's Day. The employees greeted us very friendly and assigned us a table. The drinks felt like they came straight away the food quickly. Our beetroot dumplings on spinach and the kibbeling were delicious and hot. All in all, a nice end to the day.

A brewery in Odentalhl Very nicely decorated and friendly reception. A not too large and reasonable menu. Every price range is addressed. A few asparagus dishes and what is very pleasing. On February 25th In 2024 we ordered a table at the Herzogenhof for a family birthday lunch. At short notice, two more people came than originally planned. This wasn't a problem for the staff at all. We were able to order a la carte. Everyone was thrilled with the dishes. The portions were very good. The food was ready for all guests at the same time. A big compliment to the kitchen here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We would be happy to come back.

Die Haxe war sehr gut aber der Kibbeling entsprach nicht den Erwartungen. Was verwunderlich war, wie schnell die Gäste ihr Essen bekamen. Da scheint einiges weit vorbereitet zu sein.

Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service super. Personal sehr sehr freundlich. Trotz ausgebuchtem Restaurant kam das Essen sehr schnell und das Personal strahlte Ruhe aus und vermittelte gute Laune

Das Kalbs-Cordonbleu war vorgebraten und vor dem Servieren nochmal kurz erhitzt - so schmeckte es auch! Knusprig war da auch nichts mehr… Das argentinische Rumpsteak kam lauwarm an den Tisch und war zäh. Es wurde vorher auch nicht gefragt, in welcher Garstufe wir das Steak gern hätten. Das Essen war innerhalb weniger Minuten nach der Bestellung am Tisch.. In der Zeit wäre die frische Zubereitung unmöglich gewesen! Das Steak wurde zurückgenommen und es kam ein neues Steak - diesmal heiß, aber versalzen zum Tisch.. Einziges Highlight war die wirklich sehr nette und verständnisvolle Bedienung! Schade Herzogenhof, das könnt ihr besser! An Feiertagen jedenfalls definitiv nicht zu empfehlen!!!

It was made of veal, as the name of the dish says, but unfortunately the breading was very greasy and didn't stand out from the meat. At a price of 30 euros I expect a little more. The breading made it taste like a pork schnitzel. I would like to come back but I would choose a different dish.

Der Herzogenhof hat den Stil eines besseren Brauhauses. Gross und daher ist der Geräuschpegel recht hoch. Trotzdem fand ich es gemütlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Desserts war ebenfalls sehr köstlich. Service trotz hoher Besuchsquote aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Excellent meal yesterday - pikeperch on pearl barley risotto, rosé fresh, dry, well chilled! Unfortunately, so did the plates, so a brisk meal was the order of the day, with reduced entertainment with friends.
