My schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce tasted like a convenience food, albeit a good one. It wasn't worth the price. The staff was very accommodating.

Friendly and attentive staff. A small children's menu was good. Our meal was okay: white sausages with pretzels, half a hamburger, meatloaf, and fried potatoes with a fried egg.

The service was excellent, and the ambiance was exceptionally good. The food itself was a bit lackluster, and some of it looked like, for example, a frozen schnitzel.

We arrived at this restaurant greeted by Kristina, who made sure we were comfortable, all the options available and explained everything we were unsure of. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food was quite good. But the service was terrible. We ordered everything and got it, but unfortunately, no one ever came back to our table. I even had to order the bill at the counter. We were sitting inside and would have liked to order some more drinks. It's a shame; I had a different impression of the restaurant.

The service was pleasantly fast. The food was very tasty and plentiful. My companion has been here several times. The iced tea was very tasty, but I found it a bit expensive for the amount. But that seems to be the norm these days. One small note: the tables next to the terrace (across and right next to the tree) are very awkwardly positioned; it almost requires acrobatic skills to leave the back table.

We ate Schnitzel, Hamburger and Spatzle, burger was not bad, schnitzel was too thin to get the taste of the meat. I liked the spatzle, though first time ate and nothing to compare. After the food also we felt quite heavy on the stomach, so maybe too much oil.

We went to a restaurant today for the first time in a long time. The food was served carelessly, and the hunter's sauce was not tasty at all. I think it could be much better. I was asked if everything was okay; I expressed my concerns, but they ignored me. It's a shame, really.

At lunchtime, we browsed the menu, enjoyed the entertaining menu titles. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. And all this in the middle of the bustling city with a view of the opera. Inside, it's even more pleasant, with a rustic ambiance, yet cozy, complete with a fireplace.

We're from Austria and only in Hanover for one day. We visited this restaurant by chance, and everything was just perfect. The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was also outstanding. On a very hot day, we enjoyed a good meal and drinks in the shade of the trees. Our waitress Kristina was very nice, and the other waitresses were also very accommodating. We sat in the garden, but the restaurant is also beautifully decorated inside. The restrooms are very clean. Highly recommended!

We arrived late (+2 p.m.) and were able to have lunch without any problems. The service is great (in English if needed). The specialties (curry sausage or pork shank) are delicious and their shepherds very good (excellent pulled pork) crispy fries. We ate on the terrace and despite the traffic it was pleasant. Special mention for the decor. In short, we recommend this brasserie to discover the specialties of the region.

A range of artisanal sausages, tasty goulash soup and other German specialties invite you on a taste journey. The judiciously chosen selection of wines completes this experience. The atmosphere, inspired by a modernized chalet, offers a warm setting, reflecting a friendly service.

A very nice location with a large fireplace inside. Certainly very inviting and cozy in the cold season. We sat outside, which was also very nice, under the trees. The staff wore traditional costumes, which added to the pleasant ambience. I had a baked potato with a lovely cream and chicken. However, the potato was quite plain, which is a shame; unfortunately, the value for money is not right for me. Simply too small for a baked potato. Otherwise, the food was fresh, and the salad that came with it was nice and crisp. We were served very kindly and attentively.

The food is relatively good; the knuckle tastes good; the skin is nice and crispy. The schnitzel used to be better; it has less flavor now; it used to be juicier. The spaetzle with Leberkäse is good and a decent portion. The drinks are also relatively good value for money. The dark Löwenbreu is particularly good; I highly recommend it; the beer is good there.

A very nice, cozy restaurant for a delicious meal. We received a warm welcome, and drinks and water were quickly brought to us. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was very, very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Can’t say anything negative, was here with family for my moms birthday and the staff was so kind and the food was 10/10 no doubt I’ve been a few times definitely one of my favorite places in the city, for 6 people I think the prices where reasonable!

There are certainly other places where you can get decent service.

We went to the restaurant for dinner today on business. The food was really good, and our server, Alayca, was the highlight… I always wish there was that much energy, spirit, and great service. That's what gastronomy is all about, that's what service is all about! Amazing!

The cheese spaetzle were unseasoned and therefore very bland. The spaetzle was too warm and lacking in carbonation. The waitresses were very friendly.

Service is absolutely terrible. A grumpy waiter who serves you listlessly and spends a lot of time smoking and drinking coffee, or loudly commanding the other colleagues in Turkish while standing at the sidelines on his cell phone. According to his colleagues, this is the boss, but exemplary behavior definitely looks different. The food was okay, and the drinks were fine when you got around to ordering something. I won't have to go back.

I had a very tasty knuckle of pork. The staff was friendly. The place was attractively decorated. The prices were perfectly reasonable. What more could you want?

Nice, rustic restaurant with Bavarian flair.

Everything was just perfect. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and came very quickly! Everything is very nicely decorated and new. There were also high chairs for babies and a clean changing area. We would love to come back.

After-work get-together with colleagues The food tasted OK, but the price was higher, but the quality was good! I found the ambiance/room and music too loud for conversation.

German Protestant Church Congress, last evening, Saturday. 100,000 visitors streamed through the city, and many wanted to eat at the same time. Many restaurants had signs saying "Wait for food 1 hour." Not so at the inn. Yes, the service was stressed, but on the ball. We got a table quickly, the menu was hearty, our omelet and white sausages arrived quickly, along with delicious pretzels and good beer. Everything was perfect. We'd gladly go again.

The pork leg at this shop is very crispy and the most delicious in this city. Other shops are not crispy at all.

Unfortunately, the veal schnitzel was from the deep fryer, which is a shame. Otherwise, it was very nice.

I was there with my wife today around 8:00 PM. The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. We were assigned a nice table, but unfortunately, the staff completely ignored us after that. We left after 10 minutes (thirsty and hungry).

The food was cheap, but the quality wasn't great. We won't eat there again.

We just go there for drinks after dinner, they take care of us really quickly, we were a group of over 10 at 1030 pm, thanks for having us.

Ambience top and the service was great today (05/12/25). Unfortunately the food can't keep up. In and of itself it was OK, but for the price and the ambience and location, ready meals simply don't fit. Sry but serving an individual schnitzel is a no go. You can't and shouldn't serve something like that in a restaurant like this. Hence the deductions.

If you love hearty food and a Bavarian ambience, this inn is the right place for you. The waitresses at Bayernlook are nice, friendly and attentive. The food is very tasty and is served relatively quickly. Likewise the cool blonde, for example Spaten beer. The currywurst with ox meat is a special taste. And the snacks are also plentiful and very good. The glass fireplace in the back area is extravagant. Outdoor seating with umbrellas and hot lamps can be used even in the uncomfortable season, and not just for smokers. The only drawback: the toilets in the basement are difficult or impossible to reach for walkers or wheelchair users.

We've been to the Hannover Wirtshaus twice in the last few weeks - and were completely satisfied every time! The service is friendly, attentive and fast, the food is really excellent - if you like German cuisine, you will definitely get your money's worth here. What is particularly noteworthy is the consistently high quality on both visits. A small downside to today's visit: Photos were taken of food (which luckily was ordered) and drinks for the homepage or social media. Unfortunately, the freshly mixed cocktails went straight down the drain - a shame, because they could have been given away or used for something else. That left a somewhat unnecessary aftertaste. Nevertheless: A great restaurant that we are happy to recommend and will definitely visit again! You can park directly at the opera car park.

The inn has an attractive interior with Bavarian comfort. The menu is extensive and contains regional and Bavarian dishes. May 1, 2025 Small table buffet for 2 people with a Glaa Cremant. 👍

Great quick service. Food is a nice selection of delicious dishes. Unfortunately, we noticed that the portion size of the unbeatably delicious Kaiserschmarrn was significantly reduced. Leberkäse should be fried more strongly but everything tastes great. Cakes are recommended, as is the tarte flambée. Iced tea is overpriced. And unfortunately it is uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. Turn down the heat please.

Absolutely fantastic! My visit to the Hannover Wirtshaus was a complete success, especially thanks to the pork knuckle. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, with a crispy crust. Every bite was a delight! The atmosphere in the inn was also very inviting and cozy. The service was attentive and friendly, so I felt completely at home. Always my pleasure.

Staff didn't notice people outside.

Our food was so-so, the duck burger was over-seasoned and the currywurst wasn't really a currywurst. The Kaiserschmarrn was not fluffy. We had 4 meals and 3 wasn't really good. Too bad. Was an attempt. We tried again yesterday (April 10, 2025) and were pleasantly surprised. Very nice staff, the food was delicious, everything was great. Now recommended.

The philosophy of processing high-quality products and describing exactly where we shop on the map convinced us that everything was excellent. Including the operation, it couldn't be better.

Fast and friendly service. Food different. Pork fillet tasty and decent portion. Jägerschnitzel a smooth four minus. One tablespoon of mushy fried potatoes and 1 tablespoon of burnt mushrooms... doesn't work at all.

Really cool vibe and extremely friendly. Lots of smiles and laughing but attention to detail on service and food. The pork shank is quite the meal so prepare to be stuffed. The Hannover Currywurst is a must and the Viennese Schnitzel was by far the best I’ve had. Truly fun place if you are in Hannover. My only negative was that they did not take Amex. Overall this is a 5 start for me😎

Nice restaurant, friendly service. The Jägerschnitzel was probably frozen food from the deep fryer. The fried potatoes were far too dark and tasted old and warmed up. You had to look for the mushrooms. A sad cocktail tomato as decoration doesn't have to be necessary either. A lot of money for little quality. Too bad

We were there for lunch. Everything was very tasty and the service was perfect. We didn't have to wait long for our food - which is very important during the lunch break.

I often go to the inn because it's also a good place to eat during your lunch break. Price performance is very good, you feel comfortable and above all you are served really quickly. So like I said, I'm here often so there's no point in going.

Eat and drink deliciously at normal prices. What more could you want?
