I was looking forward to ox cheeks with mashed potatoes... Well... when the food was brought, we first let it go back because it looked like sauerbraten... We were then informed that these were already ox cheeks 🫣 ..The cook then came out of the kitchen with a cooked, gray piece of meat ..that would be the ox cheek - ummmm...Besides, he's been cooking for years and that's always how it comes out of the kitchen! You can forgive me as a layman, but I only know this meat at least as high as an index finger and in a brilliant braising sauce: kudos to everyone else who knows how it's done 🥰. Mashed potatoes and sauce should also contain salt and not encourage the guest to have to season everything themselves. Conclusion: ..."I'm out..." ...

We ordered catering twice and the delivery always came on time by a friendly employee. The food was very delicious and extremely plentiful. A good price-performance ratio. We were very satisfied.

Always my pleasure! A diverse range of Franconian dishes, especially vegetarian but also vegan selections. The beer selected is tasty and schnapps from the region. Add to that a fast team and it will be a fun evening in the middle of ancient Franconia and the original pub and restaurant interior.

There is a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. However, nothing really tastes good. The basic idea is very good, the dishes read very tasty, and in the end they taste super boring! There is still a lot of room for improvement!

Beautiful district restaurant in Nuremberg's Nordsstadt with good cuisine, a larger vegan and vegetarian selection and friendly staff. Inside is a bit noisy. The beer garden invites you to linger. I would be happy to come back.

When we visit Nuremberg, we always eat here. There is an exceptionally large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. But there is also a large selection for meat lovers. Typically Franconian, there is also a Schäufele.

But there is some home cooking that is impressive 👍👍👍

Wir haben Gestern unter anderem Kalbsleber Berliner Art bestellt . Bekommen haben wir ca. 80 g. Leber (nicht rosa) etwa 100 g. Zwiebeln und kein Apfel . Es waren leider keine Röstzwiebeln ! Reaktion auf meine Reklamation war ...... Das war wie immer !! Das macht man anders , auch wenn man beleidigt ist . Für den Preis erwarte ich ca 180 g. Leber als Hauptbestandteil , nicht Zwiebel als Hauptbestandteil !!!! Schade ... ein nächster Besuch dürfte wohl nicht in Frage kommen .

Affordable prices and delicious food

Für die Qualität ist dieses Restaurant zu billig! Ein Geheimtipp nördlich der Altstadt. Wer einmal dort war kommt wieder. Es kann etwas länger dauern, bis man sein Essen bekommt, aber das Warten lohnt sich! Wir hatten Boeuf Bourginione, Schäuferle, Lammhaxe und ein Cordon Bleu und gingen als vier satte und glückliche Gäste.

I was here for a business lunch at lunchtime. We were able to sit outside because the weather was nice. The menu is large but rather atypical due to a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. All the dishes looked very good and the schnitzel with potato salad tasted great. The service was friendly and quick. I think I'd like to come back when I get the chance.

We were made aware of the inn following a recommendation and were not disappointed. You can sit well in the relaxed atmosphere of the outdoor area. The relaxed nature of the cellar also contributed to this. The food is delicious and more than reasonably priced. There is also a large selection for vegetarians and vegans.

I've actually always liked the Frankenstube because the diverse range of food on offer, including Franconian and vegetarian dishes, etc., really appealed to me. It's also nice to sit in the "garden". However, on my last visit I was really disappointed: we had reserved a table for 6:30 p.m. (weekdays). However, it took over an hour from our order to the time the food arrived (8:15 p.m.)! My spinach spaetzle with fresh (?) mushrooms was very boring in taste - the spaetzle lacked any flavor or salt. Overall, the portion seemed carelessly put together. In response to my criticism (long waiting time, unsatisfactory food) our waiter (one of two present) apologized, he was friendly and tried hard - and as "compensation" he also offered us a drink on the house (not for the first time there) . Nevertheless, this will be my last visit to the Frankenstube for the time being. Unfortunately, the offer has developed into a negative one. A pity!

The Wirtshaus Frankenstube is what it is: a pub, down-to-earth but contemporary. No chic, no trendy cuisine. The audience is refreshingly mixed. From young to young at heart to those of retirement age, everyone is there and relaxed. I've known the restaurant since 1990 and at its core it's the same: down-to-earth, delicious dishes, fish, meat, vegetarian, vegan everything on offer. Back in 1990, half of the menu was vegetarian! Gluten-free is also declared on the menu, I've heard positive reviews about it, but we haven't been able to test it ourselves yet. Some things are the same as always - the plum spritzer for example - Other things have developed further - the chairs now have cushions e.g I think I will come back more often.

I was there for dinner on Whit Monday. For the dish I ordered sauerbraten with dumpling and red cabbage. It took 15-20 minutes before I could order. The food was served after 1 hour of attendance. The taste of the sauerbraten was very unknown - neither "sour sauce" nor the typical Franconian gingerbread sauce. The portion was very clear: four medallion-sized pieces of beef and a dumpling. On the positive side, the red cabbage was really good The price and performance of this meal are absolutely not right. Two conditions were present. One is very customer-oriented and friendly, the other is more along the lines of: Why are you there? I personally know other places with better service and food in Nuremberg and would prefer to go there in the future. Price-performance ratio isn't right here, although the food prices are generally OK. The drinks prices are no longer low either.

Phew.. where should I start? The Frankenstube was once good, but unfortunately those days are over. Waited 30 minutes for the drinks, about 1 hour for the food. The quality of the food has deteriorated a lot. For example, Krustenschäufele without a real crust, Franconian Sauerbraten has a question mark in terms of taste. A large water costs 5.20 euros, which is simply cheeky. Reservation wasn't on the radar and the service seemed very annoyed.

Delicious as always, Moroccan braised beef with lentils and vegetables and spaetzle, tender, juicy duck leg with crispy skin, dumpling, red cabbage, followed by Danish tart, red wine tiramisu, before a parsley soup with beetroot cream cheese. I'm happy here♥️

The very varied menu (including one vegan side, one vegetarian side!) gives you a lot of options. The food has always been ok in recent years, but unfortunately never a real treat. The garden and the interior are very beautifully designed. A bit irritating is the break table for the staff right at the entrance, which is often used for cigarette breaks. The lunch specials are usually very good!

We celebrated a birthday with 30 people in the next room in the Frankenstube. When we arrived, the room was already festively prepared for us. We had an excerpt from the menu (which had been agreed upon in advance), but special requests were also made possible. Without exception, the food was extremely tasty, the meat was tender, everything was hot and came relatively close together. The service was very courteous and on point! Compliments to Ms. Meister and her team, we would love to come back!

Nothing will happen with the side salad. In the summer there is always sand, once a small dead half beetle or often small flies. In winter, stalks and sand. I cannot recommend leaf lettuce here. And when it comes to Franconian food, it depends either on the day or the cook. Rarely the same. ————————————————— The leg of lamb on the Easter menu was unfortunately tough and dry. The fish fillet is a children's portion. Unfortunately, not even Franconian dishes have consistent quality. Opening hours until midnight were incorrect. And also a grantler on the phone. Great fresh cuisine and something for every taste. Excellent price-performance ratio. I have enjoyed eating here for over 20 years. The rooms are kept very simple. If I go out to eat, it's only here. The portions are just right and if something was too much, the friendly waitresses would be happy to pack it up to take away. The dishes are neither under- nor over-seasoned. My favorite is the Coq au Vin with a wonderful sauce, the meat falls off the bone and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. I appreciate the family atmosphere here and of course the Franconian beers from Weißenohe and Spalt.

Me and my husband are there regularly and enjoy it. The food is delicious The ambience is nice, and especially the waitresses are very nice. I had cabbage wraps from lunch and my husband ate roulade I can only recommend everything freshly and deliciously prepared!!

Prices are enormous when comparing the size of the portion and the quality of the food, no, it was good years ago, but now it's a no go. The cook should make use of his spices, especially with the cream sauce and the waitress should smoke less and if she can't manage to go 10 minutes without smoking, please use some mouthwash and wash your hands.🤮

Incredibly unfriendly shop. When I actually tried to make a reservation, I was rudely turned away 3 times within 2 hours. Call back later. You probably don't need to. Have been a regular guest there for 10 years. The boss's snotty manner has been noticed several times. He's also very... long waiting times and the price-performance ratio and the quality of the food are now only mediocre. If you want to eat a good Schäufele you can only recommend the Augustiner at Dürrerplatz.

We have now been to the Frankenstube restaurant four times, the food is good, there is a lot of choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes, nice staff, good price-performance ratio.

Die Reservierung war kein Problem, obwohl der Anruf nur eine Stunde vorher geschah - angenehm spontan! Das Essen wurde heiß und schnell serviert und schmeckt hervorragend. Wer fränkische Küche mag, sollte hier unbedingt mal Essen gehen. Das Ambiente passt gut zum Konzept und sorgt für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Jetzt zum (meiner Meinung nach) wichtigsten Punkt, dem Service. Hier gibt es absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Wir würden sehr freundlich und einladend empfangen, die Bedienung fand auch kurz darauf statt und die Servicekraft ist wirklich auf Zack! Ein ganz großes Lob an diesen Angestellten und sein Team!!! Davon dürfen sich einige Restaurants noch eine große Scheibe abschneiden. Weiter so! Ich esse gerne wieder dort und kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen war wirklich gut, da habe ich (gerade für den Preis) wirklich nichts dran auszusetzen. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass der Service wirklich katastrophal war. Einer der Kellner war eigentlich ganz nett, aber der Andere war wohl der unfreundlichste Kellner, den ich je ertragen musste. Bei der Bestellung schien es ein Missverständnis gegeben zu haben, weswegen ich dann nochmal kurz in die Karte geschaut habe. Wie hat der Kellner darauf reagiert, dass ich das Gefühl hatte er hätte möglicherweise etwas falsches notiert, weil ich mich unverständlich ausgedrückt habe? „Na gut, wenn sie es besser wissen“ in einem sarkastischen und abwertenden Ton. Und das war nicht das Einzige an dem Abend. Er vermittelt das Gefühl, man müsse sich dafür entschuldigen, dass man etwas bestellen möchte. So eine Unverschämtheit habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt und ich werde wohl auch nicht wieder kommen.

Liebes Team, leider etwas weniger Punkte beim Service, da nicht sehr freundlich und alles sehr komerzielle Abfertigung war. Menü bestellt, Vor und Nachspeise kamen erst garnicht an unseren Tisch.ABER auf der RG. natürlich drauf gewesen. Aber das Essen ansich war OK. Es wurde sich zwar entschuldigt, aber nix desto trotz...nicht gerade Weihnachtlich der Abend. Schade.P.s die WC sind absolut renovierungs bedürtigt und bei einer 2 Stundentaktung auch öfter gesäubert. Der Service spielt auch eine große Rolle!!! LG und einen guten Rutsch. War ein Versuch wert.

Ich hatte die Käsespätzle. Fand die garnicht lecker. Kaum Käse. Viel zu trocken. War alles fad irgendwie. Aber sonst war es relativ in Ordnung.

Kürbissuppe stelle ich mir geschmacklich anders vor. Gemüselasagne war leider versalzen. In der Hauptstube war der Lärmpegel sehr hoch

Wir sind schon oft an der Frankenstube vorbeigelaufen, meist auf dem Weg in die Innenstadt zum Sushi unseres Vertrauens 😉 Doch im Sommer 2023 haben wir uns mit unserem Kleinkind dazu entschieden, die Terrasse der Frankenstube auszuprobieren. Und was soll ich sagen? Wir waren positiv überrascht! Die Speisen, eine gelungene Mischung aus fränkischer Tradition und internationalen Gerichten, übertrafen unsere Erwartungen. Von Spätzle und Salat über Schäufele bis hin zu veganen Optionen – alles war gut bis sehr gut. Besonders beeindruckend fanden wir das ausgezeichnete Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, das sowohl in Quantität als auch Qualität der Gerichte überzeugt. Ein weiteres Highlight war die Aufmerksamkeit, die unserem kleinen Baby zuteilwurde. Ohne dass wir viel fragen mussten, wurde uns direkt ein Kindersitz angeboten und frühzeitig Brot zur Beruhigung des Kleinen gereicht. Solche Gesten machen einen Familienausflug wirklich entspannt und angenehm. Kurzum: Die Frankenstube ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Familien und alle, die gerne klassische fränkische Küche genießen möchten. Wir werden sicherlich bald wieder kommen. Sind wir schon 3 mal seit dem.

Können wir nur empfehlen, man darf nicht zuviel erwarten, aber wer hier meckert, dem ist nichts recht zu machen.

Sehr große vegetarische und vegane Karte.

Kaum zu Glauben: ein fränkisches Restaurant mit veganen Gerichten: eine DIN A4 Seite vegan, eine zweite vegetarisch - der Rest der Karte regional und abwechslungsreich. Geschmeckt hat es auch - allen. Bier gibt es von Spalter und Weißenoher. Schmeckt auch :) Einziger Wermutstropfen: abgesehen von Bar geht nur die Zahlung mit EC-Karte, keine Kreditkarte oder Handy. Das war etwas überraschend.

Das Essen war guter Durchschnitt, eine große Anzahl an V-Gerichte auf der Speisekarte. Im Lokal war die Lautstärke obwohl nicht voll besetzt sehr hoch.

Zufällig nach einer Radltour vorbei gefahren und direkt ausprobiert. Angenehme Stimmung im Biergarten, ansprechende Karte und sensationell günstige Mittags Gerichte. Große Auswahl, auch an vegetarischen Gerichten. Ich hatte Rigatoni mit Zucchini mit einem Klecks Creme Fresch - geschmacklich okay. Die Nudel war.... Na ja, ich kam grad von Italien Urlaub, da ist man(n) etwas verwöhnt....😉was Pasta angeht. Aber ansonsten gut Besucht über Mittag, flotter und netter Service. Immer wieder gerne....

Leider war es bei unserem Besuch extrem laut und eine Unterhaltung ging nur in höherer Tonlage daher nur 3 Sterne für das Ambiente.
