We recently ate here with the family and were absolutely thrilled! They serve delicious traditional schnitzels in various variations, all freshly prepared, wonderfully crispy, and tender. The various sauces are especially delicious – each one tastes homemade and perfectly complements the dish. The service was extremely friendly and attentive; we felt completely at home. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul goes into their work here – both in the kitchen and in the service. A huge compliment to the entire team – everything is just perfect here! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

An outstanding selection of diverse schnitzel variations. Unfortunately, we were only able to try three versions, but we loved all three. The prices are also really affordable, so you can actually consider going out to eat with the kids as a family. From the balcony, you can even watch the kids playing on the campsite playground. The best thing, though, is that they don't serve factory-made schnitzels, but rather hand-pounded ones. A big star for that! The service was also excellent. Attentive and friendly!

In Lauterburg, the world is still in order, not just with healthy air and a fantastic view over the Ostalb region. Everything is just right at the "Wirtshaus am Pfaffensturtz"; the service is excellent and the food absolutely "TOP." The portions are more than plentiful and taste incredibly delicious. Absolutely fantastic value for money; there's nothing to complain about or complain about here. Anyone who complains should stay home. I can only warmly recommend it. Best regards, J. Meyer

We stayed in Lauterburg, this restaurant was only 15 minutes walk. The restaurant is part of the camping site, we arrived at 6pm on a Sunday evening, tables available inside and on the terrace, staff were all really helpful and happy giving advice as we spoke no German. The two servers were very busy but helped alot. Most meals also came with a salad bowl. The food was excellent and lots of it, some dishes have a smaller portion size. The evening was hot still, but a cool breeze on the terrace.

The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and it's piping hot when it's brought to your table. They also cater to your every need. Highly recommended!

A great lady who served us + the food was great, there were five of us and all five of us had a fantastic meal and it was cheap for such quality.

Great food. Especially the roast beef! The service is super friendly, and as a farewell treat, you get homemade eggnog in a waffle cup.

We all ordered roast beef in pepper sauce with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were very greasy, and the roast beef was overcooked, even though I had ordered it medium! I won't be coming back again...

So that was the last time I ate one number sauce and not others. I won't let myself be fooled anymore.

The food is really tasty and the schnitzels are fresh. What I unfortunately have to complain about is that the portions get smaller every year. The first time I ate it three years ago, I could hardly finish the portion, or I was really very full afterwards (that's actually how it has to be). The last time I ate recently I was still hungry afterwards, which I think is a shame when you go out to eat. I also don't think it's okay that the dishes don't come with a salad (the small version of the salad costs €4.20, really outrageously expensive) so unfortunately I won't be eating anymore.

We actually wanted to have a snack, but the menu tempted us with schnitzel and meatloaf. The food was freshly prepared and truly delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. To top it all off, we even got an excellent eggnog! All at a decent and fair price. We'll be back – but in the spring or summer, when you can sit outside. Our clothes had absorbed a strong smell of food while we were there. That led to a point deduction. Otherwise, there was nothing to criticize :-)

I have to say I get around a lot in hotels and the salads only consist of a bag and a dressing from a bottle and only leaf lettuce. But here is a mega salad. Everything is freshly prepared, especially the potato salad is a delight. Lots of variations on the salad plate. The food itself is always fresh, hot, large portions and the price is right. If you want a traditional meal, we recommend it. And you should make a reservation. And the pizzas are also very tasty. We always go with the children and they are always full and happy. Keep it up. We'd love to keep coming

Menu 10/2023 Great down-to-earth food. No frozen schnitzel, you can still hear the chef making the schnitzel. Homemade sauce and grombiera salad, like before. Schnitzel variations that you won't find anywhere else. Prices are realistic and understandable and not overpriced.

Small, fine restaurant, here the service is good, the guest is offered: a down-to-earth and completely honest German-Swabian cuisine in which the guests are cooked by hand and with a lot of love.

We had a closed party event. The service was excellent, the staff unobtrusively friendly. The food tasted very good. All in all, a well-rounded affair. I can only recommend.

I was camping with my 2 sons in the summer of 23. We went for dinner almost every evening. Great price-performance ratio. The food is really good (great schnitzels, excellent fries) and the service is very friendly. There is still a bit of room for improvement when it comes to decoration, you could make a lot out of it with just a few simple steps. All in all, I can warmly recommend Pfaffenrutsch. Even if the prices had to be increased a little, I would definitely come back.

Wer den Pfaffensturz am Campingplatz Hirtenteich noch nicht kennt, sollte unbedingt einmal vorbeischauen. Sehr leckeres Essen und immer freundliche Bedienung. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp, denn hier wird noch richtig gekocht - geniale Schnitzel-Kreationen und selbstgemachte Maultaschen gehören ebenso zur Karte wie Hack- und Rostbraten nach altem Rezept. Das Schnitzelklopfen nach der Bestellung ist Musik in den Ohren! :-) Immer wieder einen Besuch wert…

Auf einer kleinen Motorradtour haben wir hier spontan zum Mittagessen halt gemacht. Wir hatten Flammkuchen klassisch und Hausgemachte Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat. Beides sehr gut, preislich tip top. Wir kommen gerne wieder 👍🙋‍♂️

Am Campingplatz Lauterburg. Es gibt einen großzügigen Raum mit nett gedeckten Tischen! Sehr sauber. Riesengroße Fenster geben den Blick auf die schöne Ostalb frei. Außerdem auch genau so gedeckt eine Terasse mit ausreichend Platz. Daß Essen ist lecker, nirgends in der Nähe habe ich echte "Pfannenschnitzel" gefunden, schon vom Duft (wie bei Mama zu Hause) bekommt man Hunger. Liebevoll und großzügig gefüllte Teller und Salat von der Bar. Lecker Dressing. (Nicht nur Essig). Preis Leistung ist sehr gut. Ggf. Tisch vorbestellen.

Das Essen dort ist super lecker. Ich komme immer wieder gerne dorthin. Das schnitzel mit Bolognese fand ich besonders lecker.

Freundlich Preise ok, essen man kann es essen aber es ist nicht so das man unbedingt wieder hin muss.

Top Wurstsalat mit frischem Brot direkt vom Bäcker aus dem Dorf. Die warmen Speisen am Nachbartisch sahen auch super aus. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und die ausprobieren.

Gutes Essen,schwäbische Küche.Schweinebraten war butterweich,Getränk nicht zu kalt,Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Schnitzel mit dem Schmand und dem Bacon ist eine tolle Idee,hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Salat wird am gleichen Tag frisch geschnitten,und hat keine braune Stellen an der Schnittstelle. Der Zwiebel Rostbraten war wie immer gut leider nicht mit Bratkartoffeln wie es sich ein echter Schwabe wünscht....

Schnitzel frisch aus der Pfanne, werden noch frisch geklopft. Die Soßen sind selbst gemacht, sieht man nicht oft. Dementsprechend super schmeckt es! Große Portionen zu fairen Preisen. Super Inhaberin, kommen immer wieder gerne von Ludwigsburg dort hin!

We would have liked to eat here, but I think they were having a bad day, to be fair. We sat at a table on the terrace for over 30 minutes until finally we were given a menu card, although the restaurant wasn't very full. The guests at the table next to us had apparently been waiting for almost two hours for plates of cold cut meat, which worried us a little... After 45 minutes they lay came to take our order, and we found out that the restaurant is out of salad. All salad. As we don't eat chips and are trying to lose weight, we had hoped to get a schnitzel with salad. Our just a large salad. But no chance. Our of salad and it was only 8pm. So we got up and left. Pity. Two stars because they were at least friendly. And the food looked really nice in front of the other guests. But... Chips...

Essen ist hervorragend Bedienung und Ambiente sehr gut, als Camper auf dem Campingplatz hat man immer einen Ansprechpartner ich bin voll begeistert und mein Mann mit mir.

Leckeres Essen & gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Die Atmosphäre ist recht rustikal, mit Stammgästen und Raucher*innen. Und leider gab es nicht alle Gerichte, die auf der Karte standen. Aber, wie gesagt, gutes Essen!

Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt, schön kaltes frisches Weizen und das Essen war sehr gut, auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder.

Preis-Leistung stimmt in diesem Gasthaus. Man bekommt grosse Portionen, die jeden satt machen, vorallem auch die Männer. Es schmeckt sehr lecker, Schnitzel, Zwiebelrostbraten und selbstgemachte Spätzle zu empfehlen. Freundliches Personal, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Wir kommen jede Woche und nicht nur einmal!
