A great restaurant with delicious food, friendly service, and a few extras. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is very popular. Hikers or cyclists who want to eat something in the evening are welcome. A uniquely designed restaurant. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to return.

It was a real surprise for us. We had vegan oyster mushroom sharwarma and were completely satisfied. Truly delicious, nothing to complain about. We sat in the garden, which wasn't quite as cozy because the chestnuts kept falling from the tree onto the guests. The service was really friendly and dog-friendly. A definite recommendation, especially since they offered a few vegan and vegetarian dishes.

After a long absence, we returned to Wirtshaus am Gehrenberg. The food was once again excellent, and the portions were filling. And organic quality at a reasonable price. The service was very attentive – simply brilliant!

I rarely write reviews, but it's appropriate here. I ate here last week and was absolutely thrilled. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly and competent, but the drinks and food, despite the restaurant being full, arrived very quickly and were incredibly good! I definitely recommend it, and it certainly won't be my last visit. 😊

Extremely delicious food and phenomenal service 😍

The service was very attentive, and the location with the view was, of course, great. But unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food, which is the most important thing. The two vegetarian dishes (pakoras and the oyster mushrooms) were extremely salty, some of the mushrooms were burnt, and everything was somewhat dry (there were dips, but something fresh was missing). The mushrooms were supposed to come with flatbread, but instead they came with regular mixed bread. The meat was good, but very little for the price, and the hash brown was still slightly raw inside. In general, the portions were disappointingly small for the price. We wouldn't go back and unfortunately can't recommend it either.

This was my first time here and I followed a recommendation. With great weather during rush hour that evening, there were still seats available, and the service was surprisingly fast and courteous. I chose the Marinated Dry-Aged Entrecôte / Black Tiger Prawn BBQ with Teriyaki Sauce / Bacon-Baked Beans / Sweet Potato Fries and was delighted. I'd love to come back if I'm in the area 👍🤗

We went for dinner on August 16th and had made a reservation. The waiter assigned us a table with a beautiful view, but right next to the children's slide. The noise level was correspondingly high. The service was extremely friendly and quick. We chose the spirelli with chanterelles and tomato, eggplant from the weekly menu. Well, lots of pasta, a hint of sauce and a slice of eggplant; for 21.90, that's quite a statement. On top of that, the plate was ice-cold and the food was lukewarm. Kudos to the kitchen! The Müller Thurgau served was bland and lacking in character. How many points should we give it?

Everything is just perfect here: delicious food, friendly service, and a great view in a beautiful beer garden. Everything is top-notch, right down to the dessert, the plate of pralines, which is truly fantastic.

A lovely place to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Constance. On a clear day, you can even see the Swiss mountains. The menu includes vegetarian dishes, which were delicious. The welcome and service were friendly.

The menu is small, but it's packed with flavor. Very, very tasty food. The service is very friendly and well-organized. The prices are reasonable. From the beer garden, you'll enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Constance.

I came to this restaurant three times in the past months and it’s a really nice place. The view on the lake is beautiful and the atmosphere is super chill and quiet. The ofenfrischer Schweinebraten are really good, I recommend them. I would in general recommend the meat dishes. Instead I wasn’t fully convinced by the moussaka. The desserts are good but I think they are very expensive for the little quantity they give you.

The food was delicious (roast pork with dumplings and salad, and brook trout with striped vegetables and honey-Dijon sauce). Very tasty and plentiful. Great terrace with a view. We went on a Thursday evening, and it was quite busy. Reservations recommended.

This place is top notch, okay I have to admit the weather wasn't the best, so it wasn't that crowded outside, but the service was amazing and the view marvelous. Pretty sure this place is overrun once there is sun and great weather. The food has a little Asian touch which is so so good. I can just assume that every single dish is a dream come true. It's such a pity that my stomach is that small and I couldn't try everything. Not sure if you can reserve a table outside, I a sure it would be beneficial if you could and you would, it's for sure possible for inside seatings. Parking can be a little tricky if it's summer, sun and beer garden time but I guess there's always a way. An absolute recommendation from my side, thank me later.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food fluctuates. Things don't seem to be going well in the kitchen at the moment. The organic chicken is dry, grilled to a complete halt, and hard. The rest of the food on the plate was poorly prepared, including the flavor. The roast pork, unfortunately, wasn't tasty either. The service, however, is top-notch, and the ambiance and view are fantastic.

We had a wonderful evening in the Gehrenberg beer garden. The spot is idyllically situated, surrounded by plenty of greenery. The menu offers something for every taste. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always smiling despite the large number of guests.

The food is very good. The view was also very nice and the place was nicely shaded. The service was great. I can only recommend it.

We were satisfied with our first visit to this restaurant. Easy reservation, very friendly staff, beautiful location, and good food. What more could a guest want? We'll be happy to return on our next vacation to Lake Constance.

Nice place to sit, great view, lots of vegetarian dishes, very nicely presented, and we had bread and quark beforehand. Unfortunately, there aren't enough parking spaces. We parked down by the residential area and walked up.

Very nice and good professional service Great coffee, and I mean it...( I have drunk coffee for 55 years in many many places of the world already The blueberries muffin were absolutely not to the one you get at starrbacks to dry. Ice ..fir my feeling to sweet and I would recommend more milk or yogurt...but overall for the price ok. The place is situated on a little hill where 50 years ago a church was situated..realy nice few to the east side. Which is the owner only the best. ( This time, the toilet was also clean... I really wonder what kind of people leave the toilet in a messy place

A wonderful inn with a stunning view. A wonderful winter garden and individually designed furnishings invite you to linger. The service was outstanding, and both the Tafelspitz (boiled beef) and the mini dessert invite you to return, although probably all the dishes on the menu are a true delight. For summer days, there's an attached beer garden with a view of Lake Constance. Highly recommended!

We were there a few days ago. The service was super friendly and really on point. We felt very comfortable. Even the dog :) The food was delicious. We had the roast pork with homemade dumplings and dark beer sauce, the bread salad, and a pork steak and a turkey steak with fries and homemade herb butter, as well as side salads. All in all, a successful evening.

Excellent cuisine, whether meat-based, vegetarian, or vegan! A fun atmosphere and completely unobtrusive from the street. A secret tip—even in bad weather! Be sure to make a reservation.

Delicious food, friendly service and a fantastic view – everything is just right here! We sat outside for dinner together and were served quickly and friendly. The food was consistently delicious: we had a Swiss sausage salad, a salad with char char and for dessert an espresso, a praline and a rhubarb tiramisu. There was enough fresh bread to accompany the salad, and the tiramisu was particularly successful - fruity, creamy and not too sweet. The view from the inn is simply fantastic: Lake Constance right in front of you and the mountains behind it - a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening.

We got a wonderful place for 30 people very spontaneously and the house/garden was full. The location is great and the restaurant is really nice and cozy. The service was very quick and courteous. And the food tasted very good too. The visit was absolutely worth it.

First of all, I would like to say positively that the food tasted good. It's obvious that a lot of attention is paid to quality and preparation. Unfortunately, I had the impression that the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. The prices are rather high, which in my opinion is not justified given the food and service on offer. Regarding the service, I would have liked more presence. As the evening continued, we felt rather “overlooked” and had to call the staff over to order more drinks. A really unpleasant moment was discovering a mouse in the restaurant area. Even though I have the impression that this was not due to poor hygiene, but rather an unfortunate coincidence, something like this obviously leaves a negative impression on the guests. I feel that the restaurant is a bit overrated, especially in terms of value for money.

Was very good. It was a company party, so I can't say what it was like in the restaurant, but I can't complain at all about the duration of the party. We were in the separate building (Theaterstadel) where large groups can celebrate separately from the restaurant and there is a stage that we were allowed to use. The room is very nicely decorated and you can see that the building is a bit older, but that doesn't hurt the impression. I found the food very interesting because the taste was different than what I was used to. It had more of an Asian touch (brown trout) but I thought it was very good. You didn't have to wait long for the food either. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
