War einfach ein toller Besuch im Restaurant. Wir waren bei bestem Wetter im wunderschönen Biergarten. Sitzplätze unter tollen alten Bäumen. Sehr leckere Speisen und Getränke. Hausgemachte Limonade 😋 Ein Risotto mit Spargel von der Wochenkarte. Es gibt insgesamt eine sehr gute Speisenauswahl. Auch vegetarisch und vegan mit verschiedenen Optionen. Ein großes Lob auch an den freundlichen Service. Ein durchweg sympathisches Team.

Die atemberaubende Aussicht steigert den Geschmack des Essens ... ein paar Biere, toller Wein, tolles Essen. 🤌👌😄

Absolut empfehlenswert! ​Wir waren absolut begeistert von unserem Besuch im Wirtshaus am Gehrenberg! ​Schon beim Ankommen wird man mit einer wunderschönen, traumhaften Aussicht belohnt, die sofort für Urlaubsstimmung sorgt. Aber nicht nur das Auge isst hier mit, auch kulinarisch war es ein echtes Highlight. ​Die Speisekarte bietet eine fantastische Mischung für jeden Geschmack: Der klassische Tafelspitz war butterzart und unheimlich lecker. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns auch das tolle vegetarische Angebot – das vegetarische Sellerie-Gyros ist eine absolute Wucht und eine genial kreative Idee! Dazu gab es die hausgemachte Limonade, die einfach spitze und super erfrischend war. ​Tolle Lage, überragendes Essen und ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Sehr sehr guter und freundlicher Service, sehr leckeres Essen. Wir waren spontan mit 14 Personen vor Ort und trotz der großen Anzahl an Personen mussten wir gar nicht lange auf das gute Essen warten. Die Kinder hatten Platz zum Spielen. Klar zu empfehlen!

Ein so uriges Lokal mit viel Charme und einer besonderen leckeren Küche-Bioware! Vom Biergarten aus kann man bei schönem Wetter den Bodensee sehen.

29.05.2026 update Service wie immer Klasse, Gyros nicht gut (Fleisch zäh, Reis hart), Hähnchen trocken hart, Lachs trocken tot, sehr schade und dafür einfach zu teuer, und JA, wir kommen trotzdem wieder, aber bitte arbeitet dran

Man hat von dort eine grandiose Aussicht auf den See und die Berge! Reservierung empfohlen. Das Essen und auch das selbst gebackene Brot sehr lecker, freundliche und fixe Bedienung.

Ich gebe volle 5 Sterne weil nicht nur die Bewirtung sehr freundlich ist sondern auch das essen sehr schön her gerichtet ist und lecker schmeckt. Für die kinder ist mit einer kleinen rutsche und einem Sandkasten auch gesorgt. Die Aussicht auf den Bodensee ist bei schönem wetter auch überragend. Es ist sehr weiter zu empfehlen

Wunderschönes Wirtshaus in Markdorf ☕🍰 Ich habe dort Kaffee und Kuchen genossen und war begeistert. Besonders draußen sitzt man traumhaft schön unter einer großen Baumkrone mit herrlichem Blick auf den Bodensee. Ein ganz besonderer Ort, wenn man in Ruhe seinen Cappuccino genießen möchte, aber auch gerne einheimische Menschen oder Touristen trifft. Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich habe den Schweinebraten gegessen, der war ganz gut nur leider hat mir ein bisschen die Würze gefehlt in der Bratensoße, der Beilagensalat war lecker. Meine Begleitungen haben beide ein Gericht mit Hähnchenfleisch genommen, das hat beiden nicht so gut Geschmeckt auch hier hat die Würze gefehlt. Der Service war Nett und zuvor kommend und man hat eine schöne Aussicht.

Lecker wie immer. Für die ganze Familie. Top für Kinde da Spielplatz. Toller Ausblick.

Urige, gemütliche Atmosphäre mit Blick auf den Bodensee, super-nette Bedienung, leckeres Essen, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - gerne wieder!

Etwas unscheinbar gelegen aber mit einem gewissen Charme, liegt das Wirtshaus am Gehrenberg oberhalb des Bodensee. Das Personal empfing uns (4 Personen) herzlich und wir konnten uns den Platz aussuchen. Wir bestellten uns zur Vorspeise Flädlesuppe und Süßkartoffeln Pommes. Geschmacklich war beides ein Traum und bei der Suppe hat man einfach geschmeckt, dass die selbst gemacht wurde. Unsere Hauptspeisen (Putensteak, Gyros Wirtshaus-Art, Moussaka und Tafelspitz) waren sehr lecker und auch hier merkte man, dass es frisch zubereitet wurde. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier auf jeden Fall überein. Auch Hunde sind hier sehr willkommen, während unseres Aufenthaltes waren insgesamt 7 Hunde im Innen- und Außenbereich. Bei schönem Wetter lädt der Biergarten förmlich ein, mit Sicht auf den See. Als Tip wäre zu sagen, dass eine Reservierung von Vorteil ist, da die Lokalität gut besucht ist.

Schnell, freundlich, lecker, unkompliziert. Empfehlenswert!

Wir waren zu 5 hier essen. Drei Speisen waren gut, die anderen 2 (Gyros Westernstyle ) war mit reis serviert und zaziki im Schälchen. Der Reis war trocken und nur mit Zaziki nicht grad ein Gaumenschmaus, nach beanstandung gab es eine ebenfalls kaum gewürzte Bratensoße. Schade hätten wir nicht erwartet.

Sehr schöne Terrase unter großen Bäumen und schöner Aussicht. Feines, besonderes Essen.

Schmackhaftes Preiswertes Essen mit tollem Ausblick

Wir kamen ohne Reservierung spontan vorbei und bekamen einen Tisch, obwohl offensichtlich ausgebucht war (mit dem Hinweis, ab wann unser Tisch reserviert ist). Und obwohl wir gewarnt wurden, das mit dem warmen Essen würde mindestens 1/2 Std. dauern, wurden wir schnell bedient und hatten nach einer knappen 1/2 Std. unser Essen. Im Verhältnis zum kleinen Steak gab es sehr viele Pommes, aber das Steak sowie der Braten waren zart und sehr sehr gut. Auch die selbstgemachten Spätzle, Salat und Kräuterbutter waren lecker, sowie das kostenlos gereichte Brot mit Kräuterquark. Die Sahnetorte schmeckte extrem gut. Der Service war bei sehr vollem Haus aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir freuen uns, hergefunden zu haben, und der Besuch war auf jeden Fall sein Geld wert.

Das Essen war gut, die Speisekarte bietet sehr viel vegetarische und vegane Speisen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und der Service war gut. Die Geräuschkulisse ist sehr laut und es ist nicht sehr gemütlich.

Das Gasthaus liegt hoch oben über Markdorf, an schönen Tagen sieht man bis zum Bodensee, im Sommer kann man draußen sitzen einfach herrlich, dazu kann man gute Speisen und regionale Wrine dazu verkosten.. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und schnell, gute Küche

Wir waren an einem Sonntagmittag um zwölf dort, Die Sonne hat geschienen und es war super! Sehr tolle Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten und sogar vegan -> fand ich super und mein veganes Chilli hat wahnsinnig toll geschmeckt und ich wurde sehr satt. Allgemein sehr freundliches, höfliches Personal und sehr engagiert. Was ich schon lange nicht mehr so toll erlebt habe. Alles sauber und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es waren ein paar tolle Stunden, wir saßen am Fenster und auf uns hat die Sonne gestrahlt das macht gute Laune. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Stunden. ☀️☺️

Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert und waren das erste mal hier. Das Ambiente ist außerordentlich schön, der Service unvergessbar freundlich. Genau genommen habe ich glaube ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch niemals einen so schnellen Service erlebt, der dabei auch noch extrem sympathisch und kein bisschen gestresst wirkte. Hinweis: Der Laden war voll und das schon seit der Mittagszeit. Wirklich ein Erlebnis, wie man nach einem bereits sehr langen und anstrengenden Tag immer noch so unfassbar schnell und freundlich sein kann, Respekt!! Und was soll ich sagen, alles war rundum perfekt- sowohl die Getränke, die Vorspeise als auch alle Hauptspeisen haben uns extrem (!) gut geschmeckt und waren sehr schön angerichtet. Und alles war mega frisch und perfekt abgeschmeckt! Für uns definitiv ein Pflichtbesuch, wenn wir das nächste Mal wieder in dieser Gegend sind. Vielen Dank für den fantastischen Abend!

It was a real surprise for us. We had vegan oyster mushroom sharwarma and were completely satisfied. Truly delicious, nothing to complain about. We sat in the garden, which wasn't quite as cozy because the chestnuts kept falling from the tree onto the guests. The service was really friendly and dog-friendly. A definite recommendation, especially since they offered a few vegan and vegetarian dishes.

After a long absence, we returned to Wirtshaus am Gehrenberg. The food was once again excellent, and the portions were filling. And organic quality at a reasonable price. The service was very attentive – simply brilliant!

I rarely write reviews, but it's appropriate here. I ate here last week and was absolutely thrilled. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly and competent, but the drinks and food, despite the restaurant being full, arrived very quickly and were incredibly good! I definitely recommend it, and it certainly won't be my last visit. 😊

Very nice and enjoyable! Great food, excellent service, and even more beautiful is the beer garden under the chestnut trees. Free parking is available. Magnificent view of Lake Constance. We'd love to come back.

The service was very attentive, and the location with the view was, of course, great. But unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food, which is the most important thing. The two vegetarian dishes (pakoras and the oyster mushrooms) were extremely salty, some of the mushrooms were burnt, and everything was somewhat dry (there were dips, but something fresh was missing). The mushrooms were supposed to come with flatbread, but instead they came with regular mixed bread. The meat was good, but very little for the price, and the hash brown was still slightly raw inside. In general, the portions were disappointingly small for the price. We wouldn't go back and unfortunately can't recommend it either.

Extremely delicious food and phenomenal service 😍

This was my first time here and I followed a recommendation. With great weather during rush hour that evening, there were still seats available, and the service was surprisingly fast and courteous. I chose the Marinated Dry-Aged Entrecôte / Black Tiger Prawn BBQ with Teriyaki Sauce / Bacon-Baked Beans / Sweet Potato Fries and was delighted. I'd love to come back if I'm in the area 👍🤗

We went for dinner on August 16th and had made a reservation. The waiter assigned us a table with a beautiful view, but right next to the children's slide. The noise level was correspondingly high. The service was extremely friendly and quick. We chose the spirelli with chanterelles and tomato, eggplant from the weekly menu. Well, lots of pasta, a hint of sauce and a slice of eggplant; for 21.90, that's quite a statement. On top of that, the plate was ice-cold and the food was lukewarm. Kudos to the kitchen! The Müller Thurgau served was bland and lacking in character. How many points should we give it?

We were able to spontaneously reserve a table for dinner. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, plentiful, and served quickly. It's also family- and pet-friendly. Including the best view!

Everything is just perfect here: delicious food, friendly service, and a great view in a beautiful beer garden. Everything is top-notch, right down to the dessert, the plate of pralines, which is truly fantastic.

A lovely place to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Constance. On a clear day, you can even see the Swiss mountains. The menu includes vegetarian dishes, which were delicious. The welcome and service were friendly.

The menu is small, but it's packed with flavor. Very, very tasty food. The service is very friendly and well-organized. The prices are reasonable. From the beer garden, you'll enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Constance.

I came to this restaurant three times in the past months and it’s a really nice place. The view on the lake is beautiful and the atmosphere is super chill and quiet. The ofenfrischer Schweinebraten are really good, I recommend them. I would in general recommend the meat dishes. Instead I wasn’t fully convinced by the moussaka. The desserts are good but I think they are very expensive for the little quantity they give you.

The food was delicious (roast pork with dumplings and salad, and brook trout with striped vegetables and honey-Dijon sauce). Very tasty and plentiful. Great terrace with a view. We went on a Thursday evening, and it was quite busy. Reservations recommended.

This place is top notch, okay I have to admit the weather wasn't the best, so it wasn't that crowded outside, but the service was amazing and the view marvelous. Pretty sure this place is overrun once there is sun and great weather. The food has a little Asian touch which is so so good. I can just assume that every single dish is a dream come true. It's such a pity that my stomach is that small and I couldn't try everything. Not sure if you can reserve a table outside, I a sure it would be beneficial if you could and you would, it's for sure possible for inside seatings. Parking can be a little tricky if it's summer, sun and beer garden time but I guess there's always a way. An absolute recommendation from my side, thank me later.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food fluctuates. Things don't seem to be going well in the kitchen at the moment. The organic chicken is dry, grilled to a complete halt, and hard. The rest of the food on the plate was poorly prepared, including the flavor. The roast pork, unfortunately, wasn't tasty either. The service, however, is top-notch, and the ambiance and view are fantastic.

Legendary restaurant with bar and small theatre overlooking the entire lake area

We had a wonderful evening in the Gehrenberg beer garden. The spot is idyllically situated, surrounded by plenty of greenery. The menu offers something for every taste. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always smiling despite the large number of guests.

The food is very good. The view was also very nice and the place was nicely shaded. The service was great. I can only recommend it.

We were satisfied with our first visit to this restaurant. Easy reservation, very friendly staff, beautiful location, and good food. What more could a guest want? We'll be happy to return on our next vacation to Lake Constance.

Top address, top service and beautiful ambience for decades

Nice place to sit, great view, lots of vegetarian dishes, very nicely presented, and we had bread and quark beforehand. Unfortunately, there aren't enough parking spaces. We parked down by the residential area and walked up.

Very nice and good professional service Great coffee, and I mean it...( I have drunk coffee for 55 years in many many places of the world already The blueberries muffin were absolutely not to the one you get at starrbacks to dry. Ice ..fir my feeling to sweet and I would recommend more milk or yogurt...but overall for the price ok. The place is situated on a little hill where 50 years ago a church was situated..realy nice few to the east side. Which is the owner only the best. ( This time, the toilet was also clean... I really wonder what kind of people leave the toilet in a messy place
