The room was modernly furnished overall, however, the air was very humid. Unfortunately, the blanket and mattress were also noticeably damp, which didn't completely improve even after two days and significantly affected our sleep comfort. Breakfast was very basic: a boiled egg, two rolls, some sausage and cheese, and jam. We weren't offered any hot options like fresh scrambled eggs; instead, a cold plate was served. This was repeated unchanged on the second day. Furthermore, some of the sausages, especially the liverwurst, already had dried-out spots, which didn't give a fresh impression. On the first evening, we ordered the Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli). While they were attractively presented, the filling had fallen apart and was barely there. In addition, neither of us seemed to tolerate the sauce well, which significantly dampened our overall impression. On the second evening, we opted for the sausage salad, usually a classic of traditional German cuisine. However, what was served was essentially a side salad with a small amount of sausage salad. Finely sliced ​​onion rings or appropriate seasoning, such as fresh paprika, were missing. Plain white bread was served as a side dish. When we asked, we were told that nothing else was available. For two people, we initially received only three small slices of bread. When we asked for more bread, it was later added to the bill, which was difficult to understand given the circumstances. Finally, only cash or debit card payments were accepted. Credit cards were not. This is outdated, especially when hosting out-of-town guests. Consequently, the rooms also had to be paid for in cash. Overall, too many negative impressions accumulated during our stay, so a higher rating is unfortunately not justified.

I've been going to this restaurant with my friends and family for quite some time now and always enjoy it. We always feel very welcome. The food is absolutely delicious. Everything is freshly prepared, and the side salad even includes potato salad. That's quite rare in other restaurants. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Almost all dishes come with a side salad. The atmosphere is simply lovely, very cozy. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Bürgerstuben. Whether you're a couple, a family, celebrating a birthday, a Christmas party, or anything else, it's perfect. There's also plenty of parking. It's a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table, as such a good restaurant is often fully booked. Photos would have been helpful in the negative reviews. However, since the Bürgerstuben has so many positive reviews, the few negative ones are easily overlooked.

The restaurant's ambiance is sophisticated, and the decor is very appealing. The food is beautifully presented, tastes good, and the service is friendly and attentive. However, the food wasn't ideal for us. We rarely eat products containing MSG, and as a result, we both experienced some discomfort afterward. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant visit overall – with a little more consideration for additives, it would be recommendable.

A lovely restaurant with regional cuisine. The dishes are simple but attractively presented. The service is friendly, but not particularly attentive. I was surprised that even minor changes to the dish resulted in an additional charge. My companion quickly ended up spending a few extra euros. My roast goose tasted good, but the house-made mushroom gravy didn't complement the dish. The potato dumplings barely absorbed the gravy; the dough was sticky, and only two very small dumplings were served. In contrast, the red cabbage side dish was very generous—almost too much. I would have preferred a classic, homemade dumpling, not something that looked like it came from a convenience store. It was clear a premixed mix was used. Considering the prices and the fact that we could only pay in cash, as only debit card payments were accepted, I found the overall experience disappointing. Furthermore, part of our order was forgotten, and the staff didn't even acknowledge our empty glasses. In light of this, I believe our rating is entirely justified. Furthermore, we overheard a discussion in the restaurant that left a very negative impression. Issues were raised that raised questions for us about the overall management. We cannot and do not wish to judge whether there is any truth to these concerns – however, the impression was so unpleasant that we have decided not to visit the restaurant again in the future.

We spent a few days in the Stuben, including breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, the stay left us with rather mixed impressions. The room was simply furnished, a bit damp, and quite expensive, but adequately sized. Breakfast was repetitive every day; the cheese became increasingly dry, and we noticed a slightly sour taste in the ham, which eventually deterred us from eating any more. The dinners were visually appealing and tasted okay, but the prices were somewhat incomprehensible. Dessert wasn't always available, and changes to the side dishes cost an additional two euros. One evening, the wait was quite long, and overall, we didn't feel entirely welcome. On the last evening, I ordered the sausage salad. While it looked interesting, it was a disappointment. The portion was small, essentially a mixed side salad with some sausage and cheese and simple bread. The flavor was rather bland, and everything seemed slightly dried out—hopefully, it wasn't leftover from the breakfast buffet. Dinners were visually appealing and tasted slightly dry. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was also inadequate. It wasn't strong enough in the room to make a video call with our children – the connection kept dropping, and we were unreachable for minutes at a time. This definitely needs improvement, especially since this service is explicitly mentioned during booking and ultimately included in the price. Only debit cards or cash were accepted as payment methods, which is at least a small improvement, considering the previous "Cash Only" sign. Perhaps the customs inspection this summer has brought some more transparency. We're curious and might stop by again sometime – but only for the terrace and a cold beer.

A top spot in Markdorf for delicious food in a lovely and friendly atmosphere. No matter what you choose from the menu, it's all delicious. Ample free parking is available in the car park at the train station. In the summer, the beer garden is lovely, complete with a playground for children. Prices are reasonable. Give them a call, reserve a table, and try it out. Highly recommended!

Very friendly, great food, pleasant atmosphere.

If you're nearby, you have to go! Delicious food, friendly service, and a "new" atmosphere. It's the place to go when you're nearby. It's hard to choose the food because everything is so good. And then there's the service. Absolutely fantastic. Even though they're located near the train station, they're definitely not a stopover; they're fantastic!

We were lucky to get the large apartment for one night at short notice. The breakfast was plentiful.

There is ample parking right outside, and the proximity to the train station also makes for excellent transport links. The hotel also offers modern, luxuriously furnished rooms. Overall, a top address if you're in the area; we would love to come back.

Top address for regional cuisine

We were shocked at these prices, but everyone has to decide for themselves... I mean, how good can a "schnitzel with fries" be that it has to cost almost EUR 20... or cheese spaetzle with salad for almost EUR 18. At these prices I was also denied access to the WiFi because it was only for house guests!! We definitely won't come here again...

Good home-style, delicious...could offer *more* vegetarian dishes. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about.

Good bourgeois - really good and bourgeois! Great restaurant, nice ambience and the food is great. I've often had lunch here and have never been disappointed. Everything is incredibly tasty and really well priced! In summer, the beautiful beer garden with tall chestnut trees, lots of shade and the interesting location next to the train station is a true oasis in the city. Das Lokal ist etwas unscheinbar gegenüber dem Bahnhof in Markdorf. Des Lokal ist hell und modern eingerichtet. Wir waren mit vier Personen spontan zum Mittagessen. Die Bedienung begrüßte uns ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Bestellungen für Speisen und Getränke wurden schnell aufgenommen. Vom Steak über Fisch und Salat war alles frisch zubereitet und hat uns ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Besonders in Erinnerung bleiben uns die ausgesprochen freundlichen Bedienungen! Gerne wieder!

Wir sind in Urlaub hier, waren in der bürgerstuben essen, sehr zu empfehlen, modernes Ambiente und total nettes Personal. Waren mit zwei Familien und drei Hunden da. Sehr zuvor kommend auch was die Hunde betrifft. Sehr sehr gutes Essen .

Waren zum Mittagstisch war wieder mal gut.

Mindestens 5 Sterne. Sehr schöne Räumlichkeit. genug Parkmöglichkeit Personal sehr freundlich. Was das Essen anbelangt, sehr gut. Schön und appetitlich gerichtet. Kürbissuppe als Vorspeise, Kalbfleisch bzw Wildragout mit Preiselbeeren 1a und dannach Apfelküchle. Der Kaffee und Espresso dürften stärker sein. Auf jeden Fall wir sind bald wieder da. Ohne Reservierung gekommen, es war sehr gut gefüllt. Super freundlich wurden wir an einen Tisch mit drangesetzt und in der Folge super freundlich und angenehm bedient. Wir waren dort mit der ganzen Familie. Gesamt 13 Personen. Es war mein Geburtstag und das wurde bei der Reservierung auch so kommuniziert. Ich hätte einen Glückwunsch und vllt ein Gläschen Sekt erwartet. Spätestens nach dem kleinen Ständchen, das meine Familie für mich gesungen hat. Kam leider nicht. Schade.

Innerhalb unseres Urlaubs waren wir 3 x in den Bürgerstuben essen. Das Essen hatte bei jedem Besuch eine super Qualität und schmeckte sehr lecker. Lediglich die Portionen könnten etwas größer sein. Die Mitarbeiter sind flott und sehr freundlich. Wir können einen Besuch in den Bürgerstuben nur empfehlen.

Wir haben 14 Nächte in der FeWo 4 verbracht. An dieser Stelle erstmal einen herzlichen Dank an die sooo herzlichen Gastgeber und auch an euer Personal. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl bei Euch gefühlt. Die Wohnung war top eingerichtet, als kleines Manko könnte man erwähnen, dass einige Küchenutensilien fehlten (z.B Auflaufformen..) Aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Auch haben wir desöfteren das Essen getestet. Hier kann man nur sagen: "so gut gegessen haben wir schon lange nicht mehr", "richtig richtig lecker".... Bleibt in guter Erinnerung. Abschließend kann man sagen, dass es eine absolut tolle Reise war mit vielen positiven Eindrücken und Erfahrungen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Birthe und Jens

Nach einem sehr schönen Tagesausflug auf die Insel Mainau ein rundum gelungener Abschluss mit einem gemeinsamen Essen im Resturant BürgerStuben. Wir (5 Personen Ü50) sind im Vorfeld auf das Resturant BürgerStuben durch bereits bestehende Google Bewertungen aufmerksam geworden und können diese Bewertung durch und durch bestätigen... 1. Klasse Service Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Hier kann und darf man sich noch als Gast fühlen! 2. Sehr gutes Essen Von Fisch (Zanderfilet), Schweinefilet, Huhn waren alle begeistert 3. Biergarten Schnuckeliger Biergarten Ueneingeschränkt empfehlenswert und wer hier nicht einkehrt, dem entgeht gut bürgerliche Küche auf einem sehr hohen Niveau zu moderaten Preisen! Wir werden hier wieder einkehren sollte unser Weg wieder in die schöne Bodensee Region führen.

Wir waren mit 10 Leuten in den Bürgerstuben zum Abendessen. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker, Personal sehr freundlich, schönes Restaurant. Einziges Manko war, dass es etwas länger gedauert hat, bis wir das Essen bekommen haben. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

If your “HERO” statement are your burgers BE GOOD AT IT! I’m not sure the staff wanted to be at work today, slow service considering there are 30 covers in the place, the food was warm ish but the fries topped off the under average meal for our kids. Undercooked, unseasoned and limp. What a shame, the place has such potential to be a great “MUST” in Konstanz.

Waren zum Mittagessen zu 4 Personen dort. Haben gegessen mit Vorspeisen, Hauptgang, Nachtisch und getrunken. Der Mann der uns bedient hat war aber sehr unhöflich. Zwei Minuten vor 14h wollte mein Mann ein Café dann hat der Server gesagt "nein" jetzt mache ich Pause denn um 17h geht's weiter, jetzt ist Schluß. Während er uns die Rechnung gab hätte er denn Café machen können. Hätte nicht mehr als 5 Minuten gebraucht. Schade. Wir können leider dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Haben zu 4 in der Bürgerstube gegessen ,hatten auf 12 Uhr 30 reserviert, waren pünktlich, haben Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Nachtisch bestellt, dann war es 14 Uhr mein Schwager wollte noch ein Kaffee ,dann sagte der Kellner gibt kein Kaffee mehr haben 14 Uhr ,von 14 bis 17 Uhr ist das Restaurant geschlossen. Waren ganz überrascht denn uns sagte niemand das ab 14 Uhr das Restaurant schließt. Wir haben über 100 Euro dort gelassen ,und so eine Unverschämtheit, bekommt man noch nicht mal mehr ein Kaffee, nach Vorspeise ,Hauptspeise und Nachtisch. An alle die dort hingehen und dieser Kellner sie bedient, immer vor 14 Uhr noch ein Kaffee bestellen sonst gibt es keiner mehr.Dieses Restaurant kann man nicht weiter empfehlen auf Grund dieses Vorfalls.
