Greatly furnished and inviting restaurant in downtown Würzburg. The dishes and drinks are very tasty and the service is really on point. Half duck is currently highly recommended on the daily menu. Thank you for the lovely evening 🙏

Unfortunately, the whole thing is just mass production, Even though the restaurant is completely full, the food is on the table within 5 minutes. Unfortunately we were unlucky that the fries were inedible. You can eat it, but unfortunately it's nothing special, but the atmosphere is still nice. The waitresses were very, very friendly, very quick and also handled the complaint very professionally.

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, the decor is very nice and inviting. The service was friendly and quick but a bit inattentive. There was no question as to whether the food was tasty or whether everything was OK, which I found a little rude. The dessert (cinnamon dumplings with nut nougat core) was unfortunately a disappointment. To be honest, I've had better and, above all, fresher food in other restaurants. Unfortunately, the food itself was just average. The portions are just enough. All in all, the Wirtshaus am Dom is a place to stop by if you don't have too high expectations. But for a really good meal or a special experience, you're better off going somewhere else.

The staff is super friendly, the ambience is also very nice, but the food is nothing special, unfortunately not of the right quality, especially for the prices. The celery schnitzel tastes like it came from the freezer.

Classic inn with all the trimmings, good, friendly, attentive service. Food presented attractively. The sauce alone that my veal ragout came in wasn't that great, maybe a bit too much Mondamin.

I'm actually a true Würzburger and have been there 3 times now, something can always go wrong. I can't understand the good reviews regarding food in any way. Of course you can But you really don't have to eat everything. This is not good Franconian cuisine, you can find it elsewhere. Sorry. The service was good, very nice and the rooms, although the adjoining room at the back isn't really that great either.

The food was served fast, and the porting was big. The flavor of the dishes was lovely, especially the wine soup. The atmosphere is super cozy. However it can get pretty warm after some time.

Nice pub, friendly service, delicious beer. It's just a shame that the 110gr. Tatar, the plentiful salad that came with it was completely without dressing. Otherwise it was a nice evening.

Unfriendly staff. Went there for dinner with the family on Sunday. The children ordered a schnitzel. A veal schnitzel was delivered for 25 euros, which I think is outrageous!

On our return journey from vacation to the Rhineland, we stopped in Würzburg. We visited this beautiful city and had a very good lunch here. Important for us: dogs are welcome here! The restaurant is very cozy and yet modern. Very friendly, young staff. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The menu is very varied and makes the decision very difficult. My husband and I decided on a Franconian specialty, the Schäuflebraten, and were not disappointed. The meat was tender and juicy, the crust was crispy and the sauce was absolutely delicious! If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back!

Super friendly service from start to finish. Not intrusive but always courteous, everyone participated! We were given two plates to share with the starter we ordered without having explicitly ordered it. The mushroom bruscetta was also very, very tasty! The main course was Scheufele. I ate it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! Food was well seasoned. Nevertheless, salt and pepper were missing from the table! Draft beer (Helles) is also highly recommended!

I moved from Würzburg to Wilhelmshaven and often visit my best friend. Standard: Eating at the cathedral! 😋😊 The complete package. The ambience tops it all off.

Good restaurant when everything else is full. The food is okay but not outstanding. The atmosphere is more modern than rustic.

We have been to the inn several times and have been very satisfied so far. Got a spot spontaneously today (10/19/24). The staff is very friendly. I ordered pork crackling and my husband and children ordered pork schnitzel with fries. Regarding roast pork: Dumplings had no taste and were not soft. The sauce didn't taste good either, not like I always find it in the pub, but the meat was very good. Regarding the schnitzel and fries: the schnitzel is good, but the fries are a disaster. Believe me, I'm not exaggerating. Fries smelled like old oil and were very very very greasy and also looked very bad. The fries were not crispy and tasted very bad. Today, for the first time, my money was too good for me.

I was looking for something new for lunch today and found it. The Wirthaus am Dom, not an insider tip but still very good. I had chestnut orange soup as a starter, delicious but too orange heavy for my taste, the pork crust roast was also tasty, perhaps a touch too dry. The excellent crust completely compensated for the dry meat. Still delicious

Very inviting and cozy restaurant with many cozy corners where you can be among yourself, even though it is very large. Great and pleasantly lit and very clean. More sophisticated cuisine, unusual but still regional and traditional. Absolutely delicious, it was very difficult to decide what I wanted to eat. Super friendly young staff, uncomplicated and efficient. The outside area also looks really appealing. Unfortunately it was too cold today. Thumbs up and absolute recommendation.

Best Schäuferla in the region. We came without a reservation and got a great seat on the long bench. Here you can get together sociably and it was really rustic and beautiful. The food is to die for. The service is simply top. The service staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The fact that you can still find something like this and in the most touristy corner right next to the cathedral is world class. We'd love to come back.

I was thrilled, the food was great, the staff was extremely friendly, the price was high but you got really good food!

Unfortunately my meat was very dry and only ok with sauce. The dumplings tasted ok. Pretzel was ok, but I've definitely had better. The dessert (apple cake), however, deserves 5 stars! It was very loud because it was well attended. Service was attentive and nice. I personally found the atmosphere appealing and cozy. A bit tight in places but otherwise ok.

Even if the restaurant is full, service is good and organized quickly. The Franconian sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings is really delicious. Or roast pork with cabbage. Always my first stop when I am in Würzburg. Regular dishes, but also nice variety with lunch menu and weekly menu.

Very good “home cooking”. The restaurant is rustic and modern at the same time. The dimmed lights make it very cozy here. We had veal goulash and pork roast. Both were very tasty and tastefully prepared. The starter potato soup was a bit too sour but that's a matter of taste. The waitresses were all friendly and I would visit the restaurant again at any time.

Prices are sometimes a bit high for small portions. You have to expect a high number of guests and a little waiting time. Great ambience and delicious food! Less selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes as traditional cuisine.

The schnitzel was a bit dry for my taste and looked suspiciously like frozen goods (hence only 4 stars). The fries were great, but a small side salad would have rounded it off. The service was polite and quick, the atmosphere was really nice in the shadow of the cathedral.

Unfortunately it didn't convince us. The napkin dumplings were very dry and the accompanying mushroom sauce wasn't seasoned enough. The dessert, an apple strudel, was (apparently) caramelized and had a pungent orange flavor, which was not listed on the menu. Unfortunately it was returned almost untouched :( The only plus point: the friendly service. Too bad!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Tisch, die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend. Die Kinder wurden mit Malsachen versorgt und haben sich sehr gefreut. Die Getränke und das Essen sind schnell und für alle gleichzeitig gekommen. Nur die Kinder bekamen es schon vorab. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und den Abend genossen.

My visit to the Wirtshaus am Dom in Würzburg was a complete success. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the friendly staff made the evening even more enjoyable. I chose the Wiener Schnitzel and all I can say is that it was outstanding. The schnitzel was perfectly prepared, nice and crispy and tender at the same time. It was exactly as you would imagine – a real treat. The side dishes were also fresh and tasty, which rounded off the entire dish wonderfully. The drinks menu offered a good selection of regional beers and wines that perfectly complement the food on offer. I particularly liked the cozy atmosphere of the inn, right next to the cathedral, which further enriched the evening. Overall, my visit to the Wirtshaus am Dom was a great experience. Delicious food, refreshing drinks and a friendly team make this restaurant a real recommendation in Würzburg. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious food 😋. There were three of us here and we had two different dishes: once a large salad (leaf lettuce with Frängsch dressing, cucumber salad, potato salad & coleslaw with crusty bread) plus pike perch fillet with a walnut crust and twice Franconian pork shovel (crispy baked pork shoulder in dark beer sauce with potato dumplings & red cabbage). The food is hearty and if you like Palatinate cuisine, you're in good hands here in terms of price. 👍 The staff is attentive & friendly. We would come back here at any time. ❤️

Leckeres Essen 😋. Wir waren zu dritt hier und hatten zwei unterschiedliche Gerichte: Einmal Großer Salat (Blattsalat mit Frängsch-Dressing, Gurkensalat, Kartoffelsalat & Krautsalat mit Krustenbrot) dazu Zanderfilet mit Walnusskruste und zweimal Fränkisches Schweineschäufele (knusprig gebackene Schweineschulter an Dunkelbiersauce mit Kartoffelklößen & Blaukraut). Das Essen ist deftig und wer die Pfälzer Küche mag, ist hier auch preislich gut aufgehoben. 👍 Das Personal ist aufmerksam & freundlich. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder einkehren. ❤️

Sehr freundliches Personal und schneller Service. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und wir mussten weder auf die Getränkte noch auf das Essen lange warten. Ging alles sehr schnell. Wir hatten reserviert und waren schon ein bisschen eher da. War kein Problem haben sofort unseren Tisch bekommen. Gerne wieder!
