Very delicious food, extremely attentive, professional, and pleasant service (Patrick), and a very cozy atmosphere. I've been here many times and always enjoy it :) Good selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Happy to expand the menu with new dishes :)

We booked a meal with a group. Everything went smoothly. Communication via email beforehand was also very competent. The food was excellent, the service was super fast and very friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, we were at the Wirtshaus am Dom with a large group (18 people) for a birthday. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant for a larger group, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion. After we had already selected all of our dishes (some of them three courses) in advance, the dishes were served very quickly. We found it very unfortunate that dessert was already served, even though some people were still finishing their main course. This made you feel rushed, and the atmosphere was simply not relaxed. The food was good overall, but could have been improved. Unfortunately, we were rather insensitively kicked out after two hours. A seating time of two hours is understandable for a smaller table of 2-6 people, but they don't generate nearly as much revenue as a larger group. However, we did deserve special mention for our extremely friendly young waitress, who looked after us in a very relaxed and engaging manner. The room we were sitting in became stuffy over time, and even the ceiling fan didn't help much. I also thought it was a shame that we weren't seated at one table, but were split between two. The room certainly had plenty of room.

We decided to eat there because of the many positive reviews. Aside from the good service, it was unfortunately disappointing. Slimy, mushy mushrooms, I suspect from a jar, in a bland cream sauce with dumpling slices that were completely dry. What a shame, almost €14 without the salad! Maybe I should apply to be a cook there?

We ate there yesterday, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly and super organized; everything came very quickly and tasted great. The restaurant has a lovely rustic yet modern ambiance. The price is absolutely reasonable. I would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

We spontaneously stopped by the Wirtshaus am Dom for dinner today. A friendly welcome and table assignment followed. A very pleasant waiter (extravagantly elegant) served us at our table. Questions regarding allergens were promptly clarified, and small requests for changes were implemented. Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, good value for money, and friendly service. Main course, dessert, schnapps, beer, and mineral water – we were very satisfied! ☺️

Very good decor. A lovely blend of modern and traditional. Delicious Bavarian/Franconian dishes. Friendly staff. Everything is super clean and well-maintained. Very cozy. Top-notch service. Orders are taken professionally. The time saved by the efficiency leaves time for friendliness. Keep it up!! Smoked mashed potatoes, wild boar sausages. Simply delicious. Lower Franconia knows it all!! Even when the restaurant is full, the service is good and quickly organized. The Franconian sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings is truly delicious. Or the pork roast with cabbage. Always my first stop when I'm in Würzburg. Regular dishes, but also a nice variety with the lunch menu and weekly specials. A service chef with humor and wit.

We've been to the Wirtshaus am Dom several times in the past, and we're back today. What happened to you today? The food didn't impress us this time. The pasta lacked salt, and the fries were hard and dry. Hopefully, everything will be better next time :-).

We ate here with two small children. The waitress was especially attentive and brought a folder full of coloring pages and crayons for the little ones. The food was delicious and the beer garden was lovely. All in all, highly recommended.

Good food, very nice service, great value for money

I arrived on a Saturday evening in the summer and got a table right away without a reservation. The restaurant was busy (at least the outdoor area). The food was good and served fairly quickly after ordering. The entire team is super friendly and very attentive. If I'm ever in Würzburg again, I'll be happy to come back!

Highly recommended. Modern and classic cuisine in perfect harmony. Prompt and friendly staff, excellent food, and a great location right next to the cathedral square. Absolutely fair value for money, with very generous portions. Really, really good food! Only: long after our meal, we would have liked to order more drinks, but no one came for a while to order from. We really enjoyed Würzburg, and our visit to the inn was the perfect way to round off the day.

I was there with three other people. We reserved a table in advance. We received a friendly welcome and were escorted to our table. The server at the table was friendly and accommodating. Since one of our companions wanted the schnitzel, but it would have been too big, he told us we could order a smaller one. I personally think that's great, since some restaurants serve it exclusively for children or older people. The drinks and food arrived quickly. Our server came back during the meal to check that everything was okay. Yes, it was!

Can't recommend this place enough. The food is top notch, the service is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed yet alive. A must come!!

We were here on April 18, 2025. We decided on the spur of the moment and didn't make a reservation to have a quick bite to eat. We received a friendly welcome and service, even though we "only" chose something from the appetizer menu. The waitresses never let it show that we weren't welcome without a main course. The food was delicious, too. We had potato soup and pancake soup. We also enjoyed the ambiance. If we're ever in Würzburg again, we'd gladly come back. Even to have a proper meal.

We've been here several times, and we've noticed that the entire service team is ALWAYS extremely friendly and attentive. Even with our small dog, we feel comfortable there. Overall, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food tastes good! There's certainly some good competition in Würzburg when it comes to cuisine. However, the ambiance, the food, and especially the hygienic impression in the kitchen are particularly impressive for us! 😊

The shoulder of pork and the roast beef with onions were really delicious. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the pork schnitzel. It tastes like pressed meat, so I think it's more like frozen meat than freshly pounded. The service (Emily) was very nice, quick, and attentive. We were in the adjoining room, and it was very hot. Air conditioning or fans would have been good. Otherwise, the restaurant is very large and nice, especially the terrace.

For the first time this extended Ascension weekend, delicious food served on preheated plates, which are becoming increasingly rare in restaurants! Great!

The inn is particularly impressive with its outstanding service. We were there two evenings and had different service staff. Everyone was extremely accommodating and extremely friendly and attentive. An outstanding achievement, especially in current times. The food was very good. The ambience too. Both very chic and cozy inside with a modern tavern flair. The terrace outside under trees and umbrellas with a view of the back of the cathedral is also very cozy and inviting.

Tip top. There were two of us there on the evening of May 1st and we got a seat right outside. The waitresses are consistently very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The drinks and then the food came surprisingly quickly. So quickly that I had already prepared myself for a warm meal. To my surprise it was very tasty! The roast was tender and, with a very good crust and good meat. The veal ragout was also very successful! All in all, as I said, tip top. Professionally managed restaurant with delicious food. Typical Franconian restaurant, welcoming, with a beautiful Central European atmosphere, a stone's throw from the Duomo. The staff was very very kind. One of us is celiac and they tried to help us in every way. We had chosen the place because the possibility of gluten-free dishes was indicated, but in reality the choice is really limited (salad, cooked cheese or a plate of tagliatelle with "minced meat sauce" which we did not try), as in most of the places where we ate in Bavaria. We opted for various traditional local dishes, in addition to the more famous schnitzel. All very good and plentiful. Prices are average. Advised.

Hello. Now Würzburg. The ambience is nice and cozy, but the menu was quite worn out and greasy, and there were also missing pages. Not a good start. If you are a garlic lover you are in good hands here! We just can't tolerate it and I ask myself, why is there garlic in Sauberbraten or potato salad? There were no less than two dishes without garlic! Supposedly there's a special seasoning mixture on everything!? To me it looks more like convenience. Ok so napkin dumplings with cream champions. These napkin dumplings were strange, dry pieces that had somehow been lying around for too long. The mushrooms in cream - tasted like a ready-made sauce with no taste. Price performance - I don't want to eat something like that again. Bad food and way too expensive. The service was very friendly and tried very hard. We kindly told her our disappointment about the food with a greeting to the kitchen. Reaction afterwards: NONE!? In other restaurants, if something isn't right, someone or something might come along to make the customer happy. But nothing came here - for us that means: you don't care, pay and disappear. Sorry, I won't pay for something like that again, despite the nice atmosphere. I'd rather take a pizza from next door and sit on a wall on the Main. The best thing about the place was the beer. That was very tasty. I think there was definitely no garlic in it.

We visited the Wirtshaus am Dom for the first time, wonderful ambience and fantastic service. I'm not usually one for reviews but this service, ambience and food was easily a 10/10. We were served by Nicole S. 🫶 Kind of attentive and accommodating, but also the other waiters were very friendly through observations. In the evening there are heaters outside on the wall of the house that were switched on, this was a big highlight ❤️ I recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will visit this restaurant again.
