Completely successful! We had a wonderful evening in this lovely restaurant. The ambience is very appealing and invites you to linger. The main course and dessert were simply delicious – prepared with a lot of love and beautifully presented. We would particularly like to highlight the extremely friendly and attentive staff. Here you feel welcome and well looked after. We will definitely come back – clear recommendation!

Close to the cathedral. Local dishes (including very good tartare, I also recommend schnitzel). Spacious interiors, and in nice weather - also a spacious garden. Good local beers. Very nice staff. I recommend.

The inn is particularly impressive with its outstanding service. We were there two evenings and had different service staff. Everyone was extremely accommodating and extremely friendly and attentive. An outstanding achievement, especially in current times. The food was very good. The ambience too. Both very chic and cozy inside with a modern tavern flair. The terrace outside under trees and umbrellas with a view of the back of the cathedral is also very cozy and inviting.

Tip top. There were two of us there on the evening of May 1st and we got a seat right outside. The waitresses are consistently very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The drinks and then the food came surprisingly quickly. So quickly that I had already prepared myself for a warm meal. To my surprise it was very tasty! The roast was tender and, with a very good crust and good meat. The veal ragout was also very successful! All in all, as I said, tip top. Professionally managed restaurant with delicious food. Super.

The reviews we read correspond to reality. Fresh, delicious food, top service. Price-performance ratio is right🤩 we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. There were 9 of us, starters and 8 different dishes, everything was perfect! The salad was worth mentioning good.

Typical Franconian restaurant, welcoming, with a beautiful Central European atmosphere, a stone's throw from the Duomo. The staff was very very kind. One of us is celiac and they tried to help us in every way. We had chosen the place because the possibility of gluten-free dishes was indicated, but in reality the choice is really limited (salad, cooked cheese or a plate of tagliatelle with "minced meat sauce" which we did not try), as in most of the places where we ate in Bavaria. We opted for various traditional local dishes, in addition to the more famous schnitzel. All very good and plentiful. Prices are average. Advised.

Hello. Now Würzburg. The ambience is nice and cozy, but the menu was quite worn out and greasy, and there were also missing pages. Not a good start. If you are a garlic lover you are in good hands here! We just can't tolerate it and I ask myself, why is there garlic in Sauberbraten or potato salad? There were no less than two dishes without garlic! Supposedly there's a special seasoning mixture on everything!? To me it looks more like convenience. Ok so napkin dumplings with cream champions. These napkin dumplings were strange, dry pieces that had somehow been lying around for too long. The mushrooms in cream - tasted like a ready-made sauce with no taste. Price performance - I don't want to eat something like that again. Bad food and way too expensive. The service was very friendly and tried very hard. We kindly told her our disappointment about the food with a greeting to the kitchen. Reaction afterwards: NONE!? In other restaurants, if something isn't right, someone or something might come along to make the customer happy. But nothing came here - for us that means: you don't care, pay and disappear. Sorry, I won't pay for something like that again, despite the nice atmosphere. I'd rather take a pizza from next door and sit on a wall on the Main. The best thing about the place was the beer. That was very tasty. I think there was definitely no garlic in it.

We visited the Wirtshaus am Dom for the first time, wonderful ambience and fantastic service. I'm not usually one for reviews but this service, ambience and food was easily a 10/10. We were served by Nicole S. 🫶 Kind of attentive and accommodating, but also the other waiters were very friendly through observations. In the evening there are heaters outside on the wall of the house that were switched on, this was a big highlight ❤️ I recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will visit this restaurant again.

Food was okay. It just lacked flavor, it was too bland and normal. Portions perfectly ok. The location was really very nice and attractive. The service is really great. If you don't want anything special, you're still in good hands here. I think if the food was convincing, more could be gotten from the restaurant.

Despite the large group, we were served quickly and friendly - the staff was attentive and always tried to fulfill all our wishes. The food was consistently good and was served quickly, so hardly anyone had to wait long. The atmosphere in the inn is cozy and inviting, ideal for social gatherings. Overall, a recommended address in Würzburg, especially for larger groups who value friendly service and fast cuisine!

Rustic restaurant with delicious food and a good selection of drinks. The service is friendly and fast. Reservations are recommended. We highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel and fries were fried in old fat. Didn't taste good. There was an ominous transparent object in my ketchup. The fried fish was more reminiscent of two fish fingers and was also fried too briefly.

Very good kitchen, good kitchen, rustically furnished

The restaurant is very nicely decorated, with nice seating, and if you sit at the back at the large tables, the atmosphere is also very pleasant. We were eating in a larger group of eight people, and these seating options were very suitable for that and there was a certain level of intimacy. All the food we ordered looked delicious and it was difficult to choose. I ate the pork shovel with the dumplings and red cabbage. At first the portion seemed a bit small, but it was absolutely sufficient as there was still enough room for dessert afterwards. All meals were very harmonious and well rounded. The prices are typical for the city of Würzburg and the drinks prices are absolutely reasonable. The staff was very smart, friendly and accommodating. Parking options are either directly at the cathedral, approximately free from 7:00 p.m., or within walking distance of the residence, but of course the entire parking fee is waived here. In summer you can probably sit comfortably outside, which unfortunately wasn't possible at this time of year. I can recommend going out to eat there, even with larger groups or for a company event. I will definitely eat there again when time permits. Many thanks to the kitchen, the service and the great evening.

Pleasant ambience with a modern flair. Unfortunately, my Schäufele was a bit dry on the outside, but very juicy on the inside. For dessert there was the cinnamon dumpling. It is highly recommended. There is a large selection of beers from Distelhäuser. We were lucky and got a spot around 6 p.m. It's best to reserve in advance.

Franconian inn interpreted in a modern way, the food was excellent, vegetarian and vegan selection, very nice and attentive staff. The children naturally received their food at the same time as the soups for the adults without us having to specifically ask for it. So all thumbs up from us ☺️

Very nice establishment, modern, but also a bit rustic. Of course it's not rich in tradition here. We thought the selection on the menu was good, the prices were a bit high, but now that's the case in all the Franconian restaurants that still exist here. The main dishes tasted good, but unfortunately the sauce was very runny, which is not the case with sauerbraten. A Pilsner was mistakenly brought instead of a Hellen. The desserts were very expensive for what they were and the vanilla white wine sauce was unfortunately completely liquid. Staff, but very friendly and accommodating.

4.4 stars?? This is system catering par excellence. The food was subpar. Schnitzel with dumplings & mushroom cream sauce, which tasted like absolutely nothing. Frozen schnitzel in baby portion with an absolutely neutral taste. The only thing that worked was the side salad and dumplings. Coupled with the prices - for me there won't be a second time. Unfortunately! The service was very nice & accommodating.

Unfortunately the food was cold. The meat is tough and quite tasteless. Reminds me of cafeteria food. The dumplings were good. The dessert was very manageable. Quite uncomfortable to sit on. No recommendation. Unfortunately, value for money is not good at all.

Definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to! The portion of French fries was very small, but tasted excellent. However, they could have been crispier. The schnitzels were PERFECT! From the breading to the schnitzel, everything is perfect! The apple spritzer tasted very good. The light has the perfect luminosity. The fake fire was very realistic. Good ambience and friendly and fast service. Food is above average and worth the price. The beer is surprisingly good for a wine town, even if it doesn't come close to Bamberg's beer from my perspective.

Unfortunately the food was catastrophic. We had a flatbread soup, a pork crust roast and napkin dumplings with mushroom cream sauce. Unfortunately everything was inedible. We left €50 for this, very disappointing. Service was ok, the restaurant was nice. However, we won't come anymore.

A very nice decorated restaurant, the fireplace on the side creates a pleasant, cozy atmosphere! The waitress was super friendly and was able to guide us through the menu so we were all happy with our order. We were only a group of 9 people but there is room for much more. Ideal for birthdays, business lunches or a bachelor party. I can actually highly recommend it!

I can warmly recommend this restaurant. I tried open potatoes with pulled pork from the daily menu and drank lavender horle with it. Both tasted excellent, the atmosphere was great and the staff was super friendly. I'd love to come back :)

We don't go to this restaurant anymore: we waited 20 minutes to pay after eating. Our waitress had disappeared, and during that time another waitress only came by once, but he couldn't help us. So I wrote my address on a piece of paper and gave it to the receptionist. I said: "You can send me an invoice." And surprise, it now took 30 seconds until we paid. Furthermore, my veal cake was suspiciously salty. I like it more salty, if I find something too salty then it's really bad.

Mass production and quality not edible and overpriced too. Not to mention you're freezing in there. The answer was: we run around all day as an excuse. That doesn't work at all! Therefore minus for service and also minus for chef for cheap meat!

Das Essen war, im Gegensatz zum Besuch davor (da war es sehr gut!), nicht so toll. Die Pommes waren kalt - im Gegensatz zum Schnitzel, das war heiß und gut. Das Dressing vom Salat war kaum vorhanden. Auch die Serviertenknödel waren nur gerade lauwarm. Etwas enttäuschend, zumal der Anlass zum Besuch mein Geburtstag war. Wie gesagt, beim Besuch davor war alles sehr gut. Schade. Aber das Ambiente und die Bedienung sind gut.

I would have liked more schnitzel than 0.5mm thickness for the schnitzel, a better ratio between fat and roast for the crusty roast, less vinegar and capers for the tartare... but everyone judges that differently. Nice, cozy place. Very friendly staff. The food (Schäufele and crusted roast) were served very quickly. The food was at the perfect temperature and pleased our taste buds to the fullest. (Sorry for the rambling) Of course, today's high prices are felt everywhere, but for this good food it's okay. In addition, please always think about the jobs and wages that lie behind the costs. Trotz regem Betrieb war an beiden Tagen, an denen wir dort gespeist haben, das Personal sehr aufmerksam, flink, zuvorkommend und äußerst höflich. Wir können jederzeit einen Restaurantbesuch dort sehr empfehlen.
