An iconic burger joint in the heart of Charlottenburg, the heart of Germany's capital, for years. Nowhere else offers such great value for money as at Windscheidstraße 26. Waiting times can be a bit of a hassle on Saturday nights, but the staff are competent and friendly ;).

Consistent quality at fair prices for years; the queue is usually longer than the waiting time after ordering, but everything is within a pleasant range.

​I visited this burger joint based on a friend's recommendation, who described it as having an outstanding price to performance ratio. And truly, this is the best burger I have eaten in Berlin when considering the price and the quality. ​Unfortunately, the downside of this popularity is the very long queue in the evenings. I also ordered the chicken nuggets, which met my expectations as well. ​The interior design is minimal. It’s the kind of place where you just eat and leave. ​The biggest negative, which I sadly can't comprehend as we head into 2026, is that the venue is Cash Only. This is a major drawback.

Still top quality at an unbeatable price-performance ratio

I actually wanted to eat there, but it was way too crowded. Maybe they should have two cash registers; the line stretched all the way to the entrance. We ended up ordering takeout, which took a bit longer than expected. The burgers are very tasty, especially the bread. But I can highly recommend the fries – they're incredibly delicious!

Keep an eye on your change and always count it out. They gave me too little change and are now claiming I paid with a different bill. They say the cameras at the checkout aren't working and are just dummies.

The burgers taste absolutely terrible now! There must be a new owner. I can't recommend it anymore. I was a regular customer for over three years. It feels like every corner shop is better.

The burgers are delicious and very generously portioned. We also ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which was wonderful. The fries with cheese and jalapeños were a generous portion and crispy, and the cheese was exceptional. The service is fast and the staff very friendly. Note: they don't accept card payments, which is a good area for improvement for the establishment, especially for tourists.

Once upon a time, a very long time ago… Worst burger ever!! When they first opened, the burger was very tasty, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant for a fast-food place. But now it's really creepy!!! Not just the burger, everything around it is creepy. Never again, there are too many great burger places in Berlin.

Four of us ate at Windburger yesterday around 7 p.m., October 23, 2025. I ordered two cheeseburgers. Unfortunately, I've had diarrhea since last night and have been needing the bathroom regularly until now. There was also a strange incident in the store. After ordering, I found €25 on the floor and informed the man serving the food. He said it had fallen off the cash register and quickly took it from my hand. How can that be possible when the cashier is behind the counter? Surely someone lost their money, which is very annoying. If you have video surveillance, you can check. When I picked up my order, the money was still there. If it's likely your money, you can at least thank them in some way or offer a reward. For these reasons, I will avoid this store in the future. The store used to be authentic before it expanded. The quality is also declining. Lukewarm burgers aren't my thing.

If I'm in the mood for a burger, it's Windburger! Always delicious and fresh, with great options, and at an extremely fair price. Standing in line is a must here 😊—wait times are no longer than 5-10 minutes. The guys and girls behind the counter do a fantastic job and are super friendly... simply GREAT!

The burgers are usually good to very good, except they could have been a bit warmer. The fries are okay, but nothing special. It gets pretty crowded during peak hours, so you have to be patient.

Recently ate a burger here – and lo and behold: just burgers, as you know and love them. No strange names, no exotic ingredients, no unnecessary fuss. The fries were crispy and delicious; next time I'll even dare to try a salad. The staff is friendly and quick, and the prices are more than fair. Worlds better than many of Berlin's trendy spots with gold dust and unicorn decorations.

Delicious burgers!!! Good and inexpensive

Super tasty big sandwiches, meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans will find something to their liking here. The price is correct, the food is correct, the taste is correct. The guys are fast, you didn't have to wait long even when there are many people. The place is relatively large, you can always find a seat.

Super delicious burgers and the sweet potato fries are wow! Friendly staff, you can pay with PayPal, and the price/performance ratio is really good! The only comment is that the bacon could be a bit softer, but otherwise everything was great!

I've always ordered the avocado burger twice, with extra jalapeños. The burger was perfect every time and tasted amazing. The staff is super friendly and doesn't let you get stressed. It was very busy when I was there on a Friday evening. The wait time was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

Five of us went to Windburger in the evening, and everything was absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the halloumi salad and the parmesan fries. We sat in a back room, and we didn't like the ambiance at all; the front and outside areas were much nicer.

It was really good, especially the value for money. Four burgers, two Fanta beers, and two Helles for just under €42. Really good by Berlin standards. The taste was also very good; we'll be happy to come back next time.

Super delicious! You have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. The quality of these burgers is unparalleled. I haven't found any better ones in Berlin so far. There are several different versions. This restaurant also has two dining rooms—a smaller one and a fairly large one. The atmosphere is relaxed. A diverse, young crowd. Highly recommended and very popular! 🤩

The food is great, I had 3 different burgers and they were all great, the crispy burger with curry sauce is really great, the only annoying thing was that you had to queue for a long time to order and the only menu was at the checkout so you could only see what was available when it was your turn.

Why can't you accommodate my requests?? I've been coming to Windburger for about 10 years and I find the food delicious. Unfortunately, I don't like pickles on my burger at all. However, my requests were either ignored or incorrectly accommodated on the last three orders. Last time, I even told the cashier that my request to omit the pickles had already been denied twice. As a result, they made me the burger with pickles again, and added an extra patty. Why doesn't this work anymore?

For me, this is the best burger place in town! Both the classic burgers and vegetarian versions are delicious and fresh! They can customize your burgers upon request. The coleslaw and fries complement the burger perfectly. You can add your own mayo and ketchup.

From what I can see in the photos, the place has changed a lot recently. It is a very atmospheric place, everything is decorated with various stickers, and the decor itself is one of a kind. There are plenty of places to sit, and an interesting solution is that you order in a place other than where there are tables. This means that the eating area is separated and intended only for spending time together and eating meals. The place has a very large selection of burgers, but also vegetarian burgers, salads and side dishes. The breaded chicken substitute was the best I've ever had. It doesn't matter whether we choose a burger, fries or a salad, everything is delicious, fresh and served in a very good way. Despite many customers, the order is completed very quickly. The prices are very low, especially when we take into account the quality of the dishes. I recommend it, I think it's a special place on the map of Berlin, in every respect the place was wonderful and the experience was great!

Very tasty and, above all, inexpensive food, we didn't notice any deficiencies in terms of quality, in contrast they actually seem to be of very high quality. Due to the location and the prices, they are of course very full, but that has to be expected. The yuppies and hipsters (especially those who use anglicisms like a newborn uses fresh Pampers) are a bit annoying, but the store can't help it. We were still allowed to eat after 10 p.m. because the store was already full, toilets for what the store is also very hygienic and pleasant, only the gender names could be revised, you can often see boys going to the women's toilet and women also going to the boys' toilet. All in all a good shop to recommend!

Here you will definitely find the best burger in the area, the price is absolutely great and it tastes great. The French Fries were also perfect with cheese. Perfect for a daytime snack. The location alone is very spartan. The entrance is obscured by the construction site on the house. Ultimately, there is one entrance for ordering and one for indoor seating.

Windburger is an absolute recommendation. The line was a bit long, but it wasn't too bad since the food was prepared quickly. The chicken burgers in combination with the cheese sauce or the cheese fries were a pure taste explosion. The prices are also okay. The restaurant was also very clean and nicely decorated. As already mentioned, you didn't have to wait long for your food and the staff were also very nice and friendly. To conclude, I definitely give the restaurant a 10/10. Was very good (best burger + cheese sauce in Berlin). Always happy😍🥰

We come from Hamburg and I really wanted to eat here. You can take food with you or eat it on site. It may take 20 minutes after ordering. But this is quality food and in restaurants you sometimes wait 20 minutes or longer. My friend and I loved the food so much. Price and performance/quality can hardly be compared with other burger shops, in a positive way. Gladly again 😊

CASH ONLY A very chill place with good burgers and prices (5 EUR/burger). Lots of vegetarian & vegan options. Homemade vibe. The burgers are not big (~300 g), but the price & taste make up for it.
