Quantity instead of class. That's probably the Wimmers' motto. We have been here several times, simply because it is suitable for larger groups. But the quality of the food is mediocre at best. It's actually too expensive for the quality, unless you want to stuff your stomach.

Went there yesterday with eleven people. Yes, the selection is huge, but you can't do more than eat, and that's why 29.50 for the buffet is decidedly too high (plus the tent atmosphere). The no-go, however, is the drink prices: beer is not on tap, but comes in a bottle. In the purchase a maximum of 50 ct., 5.20 is required!!! A good alternative is the "Besenhex" in Östringen/ Tiefenbach: here the menu is smaller, but still completely sufficient. 10 less and - all drinks except schnapps and sparkling wine are INCLUDED! Wimmers: cut a slice of it! You'll never see me again! And the fact that the owners react zero to justified criticism also speaks for itself...

Das Ambiente ist recht ansprechend vor allem im Freien. Aber das war es auch schon. Das Buffet ist riesig aber die Essensqualität einfach nur mangelhaft. Nichts schmeckt weder die Hauptgerichte noch die Beilagen und die Suppe kommt direkt aus der Dose. Und das alles zu einem völlig überteuerten Preis. Uns sieht man dort definitiv nicht mehr.

Unfortunately there is nothing positive to say apart from the ambience. The buffet is huge but of such poor quality that I really wonder how all the positive reviews here came about. Every motorway service station offers a higher level. Anyone who just wants to fill their stomach pointlessly has come to the right place. For anyone who expects some enjoyment, this is definitely the wrong address.

Great restaurant with a large selection of food and drinks. Attentive and friendly service. Not everything can be to everyone's taste, but it's simply a matter of taste! The quality is high and the price is justified in my opinion. There is also a great grill with a large selection of different dishes - everything from meat to fish to vegetables and desserts. Feels like a short vacation. Gladly again and highly recommended with the beautiful ambience outside!

So we were there for the 4th time today. Unfortunately I have to say, we won't be coming here again. In terms of price it has become really expensive. You have to manage to eat 29 euros first. Unfortunately the selection wasn't that great today either. Food tasted pretty bland and very dry. We were really happy to be here again, but we will save ourselves the trip in the future. Too bad

The ambience is great. There's nothing bad to say about the service either. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince me. Of about 15 dishes/grilled foods I tried, I would only describe 1 as really good. Everything else was okay at best. You can try it all in one, but in my opinion it is not a must-try

We were here for the first time, the selection is huge, it overwhelmed us, there is a complete range, from soup to ice cream or cake. It is possible to sit directly in the garden or as a group in a tent. We liked it, we were here as a group and had a tent.

Everything was good. For "all inclusive" there is nothing to complain about. If you have something to complain about, you have to go out to eat “alacarte”!

Plenty of all you can eat food.

I have rarely seen such a large buffet that was so well organized and really tasty. You have a bit of everything. Whether it's a large salad bar, grill station with everything from meat, Schupfnudeln, pork medallions, fish dishes, Maultaschen, rice noodle dishes, paella and much more. The price of €29.50 is absolutely justified and you get great service. Although the whole thing is designed as a beer garden, you can also go there in bad weather because the seating areas are in pavilions. There are enough parking spaces and children also have space to play because the whole thing is in the countryside. Worth every penny and tip!!!!

We were at Wimmer's for a birthday and everything was great. The buffet had a large selection, the salads were great, the service was attentive and the children were well entertained by the soccer field. Nothing was left to be desired. We recommend.

Large all-you-can-eat restaurant with home-style cuisine. The food is good and very (!) varied, although not outstanding, but OK for the concept. The service is quick and the prices are acceptable.

We were there with 11 people. A part of us often. Me and my wife for the first time. We had made a reservation, which went smoothly. We found the ambience quite good for the size. All I can say about the food is that the selection is incredible. Whether it's a starter, a main course or a dessert, you can't list everything. A small suggestion from my side would be...salt shakers and pepper on the tables for seasoning. But it didn't detract from the meal. It's better to add more seasoning than to season it. Nice staff, you also get a good introduction to how and where what is available. The buffet is always filled up and there is always freshly grilled food at the grill station, toilets are also very clean and you can celebrate and have a nice evening at any time. You should do it beforehand call and reserve a place

You feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The selection of dishes is very large so that everyone can find something. There was still asparagus when we were there, which was just a shame as the asparagus wasn't peeled properly and was therefore quite tough. The taste of the food is very good, but unfortunately it could be a little hotter. In some cases the meat dishes were only lukewarm. Otherwise, I can only recommend the restaurant whether for family celebrations, meeting friends or a cozy meal for two.

I've heard about here for a long time and finally managed to come here after years. So first of all the food is really ok. But nothing more in my opinion. The taste is missing everywhere, no salt, pepper, just not enough. And I'm definitely not someone who spices things up a lot, in fact I'm reserved. It's a real shame but I'll probably save myself a second visit.

The food tastes very good, but that's what the buffet food is like, it could be a little warmer. I would like to highlight the grill station, which is really very good and everything is freshly grilled. What's also very good are the Hugos there👍 All in all very good and the ambience outside invites you to linger👍

We celebrated a big birthday here at the beginning of May and were very satisfied. We rented pavilion number 1 for ourselves, with a time extension. Our guests, big and small, were thrilled. The personal support from Ms. Meister was perfect. It was a very nice and successful celebration. There was a suitable meal for every guest! We would be happy to come back. Thank you!

Everything tailored to the mass. Service that day was virtually non-existent. Nobody sees new guests (they were there on May 31st and there was almost nothing going on in the beer garden) or when glasses are empty. Sales are being wasted here.

The food was very good and there was a lot of choice, unfortunately no ice cream for dessert that day. Service leaves something to be desired, you often had to call or wait a long time until you could order something to drink again even though it wasn't too full. Still, it's worth going. Also great for children, plus there are several sandpits and soccer fields so that they can find something to play on and you can eat in peace.

Been there 3 times now, with the family for a birthday party. So much choice, whether meat, fish, great side dishes and a salad bar, grill stand, etc. Even recommended for vegetarians. We will be back!

A wide selection of food, everyone will find something here, from meat lovers to vegans. As is usual with buffet food, one or two dishes may be empty or colder. However, every effort is being made to ensure that this does not happen so often. The drinks come to the table in bottles, which I personally don't like, and there's only fake cola. Nevertheless, I recommend a visit to Wimmers.

We were invited to a relative's 60th birthday party. We really liked it, the food and service were very good. Is only recommended.

In Wimmers you can eat well and in abundance. The various small houses, tents and barrels are rustic for family celebrations. There are also tables with parasols outside. Without a reservation it is difficult to find a place. There are plenty of sandpits and lawns for the little ones to run around in. Can only be recommended. We were invited. From our hometown to Wimmers we have a further journey of 1.5 hours.

This restaurant is always worth a visit. Very friendly staff and a buffet with a large selection of food. There is something for everyone and there is plenty of it.

For English speakers: The food even the barbeque is not fresh. The meat quality is very poor. The menu is not diversified and there is no taste in most of the dishes. Definitely a bad place to dine...

Great location with great food. But one thing is missing! A real playground for children! With slide, swing, climbing pole, etc. An investment that would be worth it!

We have been going here for family celebrations for many years. Ultimately, I think it's a shame that the food offering hasn't developed at all in recent years. It's always the same thing - a little creativity would really be good. Sure, a buffet like this is simply mass-produced. We're not talking about gourmet ambitions. But a bit of fresh air and creativity would do the whole thing a lot of good, so that it would also be a bit more attractive for younger people. I think it's nice that there are also vegetarian versions and that no wish is left unfulfilled. Otherwise I can only say that the service is always super nice, attentive and friendly!

After four hours of travel, I didn't know what to expect, but what was offered to me was terrific. After the initial orientation through the entire buffet, all of the samples were very tasty, especially thanks to the live grill. The service from the waitress was very quick, friendly and, above all, always available. I would never have expected the amenities that I was able to enjoy through Mr. Wimmers personally (who is also an incredibly friendly and courteous owner) to the extent and with the friendliness. 5/5 Clearly deserved and definitely worth the 8 hours on the motorway next year at the latest.

Relatively cool in the pavilion despite the fan heater, the walk to the grill and buffet was uncomfortable because of the weather. Another try in the summer.

Visited the Wimmer again after a few years. The whole thing has now become a real mass processing. Given the number of visitors, you would think you were getting a real bargain. That's not the case, the buffet fun now costs €30. The food is ok, nothing more and nothing less. For this you have to queue like in the canteen. Barking dogs are also very welcome. So if you like it loud and uncomfortable, you've come to the right place. Will forego in the future.

Wimmers offers a rustic atmosphere in heated tents at simple, solid wooden tables. The variety of home-style dishes at the buffets in different rooms is incredible. As a driver, I can't judge the wines and beer. The service at the grill was unfriendly, but the waitresses were otherwise courteous and very friendly. The area around the tents is spacious and equipped with football goals. Wonderful for children who like that. But other play equipment is missing. That's a shame, because the place is particularly designed for families with tons of children's chairs. Give Wimmers a try!

Sehr großes Buffet, mit vielen leckeren Speisen. Die Herren am Grill sind schon recht unfreundlich, was eigentlich unverständlich ist, evtl. sollten sie mal dahingehend geschult werden. Das Ambiente ist im Sommer im Biergarten toll und lässt Urlaubsfeeling aufkommen. Definitiv muss man sich bewusst sein dass hier meistens sehr viel los ist und dementsprechend viel Bewegung am Buffet und überhaupt im Lokal ist.

Es gibt sehr viel Auswahl jedoch schmeckt nicht alles sehr gut, sondern nur Okay. Muscheln zb haben nach so ziemlich nichts geschmeckt,

Wer da hingeht weiß dass dort nicht nur 20 Gäste sind. Das Konzept akzeptiert man oder man geht nicht hin. Wir sind immer wieder da und uns gefällt es.
