I felt comfortable from the very first moment. The service was excellent. The food is homemade, and you can taste it. Everything is freshly prepared, and the dessert is simply divine. It's best to order a small portion. Even a small one is quite generous, leaving plenty of room for the homemade dessert. Just try everything! Absolutely delicious 😋. Just like Mom's cooking.

On a beautiful autumn day, I sat outside, beautifully situated between the water and the quiet street. The service was very friendly and prompt – unfortunately, the drinks took a bit long to arrive, and I had to ask if they'd forgotten them. I had Maultaschen (my first time ever) with chanterelle mushrooms. It wasn't quite my taste, but they're all different, as we all know. All in all, a very nice place.

We (father, mother, and son (9 years old)) are from Saarland and were staying at a nearby campsite. We went to the Wildbader Hof for dinner without a reservation. We were immediately seated in the cool vaulted cellar. As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought our son a toy. 5 minutes later, we had our drinks, and 20 minutes later, our food. All the waiters were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and more than enough for even a big eater. At the end of the meal, our son received a Styrofoam airplane to build himself. Top hospitality 👍 Top service 👍 Top food 👍 Top child-friendliness 👍 If we're in the area again, we will definitely go back to the Wildbader Hof.

It was very loud down in the basement. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I was there for dinner with a large group and sat in the vaulted cellar, which was also full with other guests. Many people found the room climate unpleasant. Too warm, with no fresh air. The acoustics were poor, with everything permeating the vaulted ceiling. I was looking forward to cheese spaetzle and was surprised not to find it on the menu. The restaurant advertises regional or local cuisine. When I asked if it was possible to have what I wanted, the waitress immediately and firmly denied it. I asked her to check with the kitchen, and the kitchen immediately replied "no." Anyone who has ever worked in a kitchen knows that this wouldn't have been a big deal. I chose something else. The salad seemed to have shriveled up and bland. The gnocchi and sauce were ready-made, and only the chanterelle mushrooms were okay. Meanwhile, my table neighbor complained about her dry schnitzel. The service fluctuated between attentive and lackluster. The price/performance ratio isn't right, and the manager only notices you as a guest when you leave because the cash register rings. That seems to be the most important thing, but the guest certainly isn't. I hope the meeting will take place at a different location next year.

We were asked for our meal preference at 1:56 PM. We weren't ready yet and wanted to place our order at 2:01 PM!!! However, one of the two dishes was only available until 2:00 PM and therefore wasn't accepted. If we had asked, we should have just placed the order at 1:56 PM, which would have been fine. For this typically German "flexibility," only one star!

We were at the Wildbader Hof restaurant last week. The restaurant was completely booked. Our food arrived relatively quickly, the salad was very good, the main course was high quality and tasty, but a bit too small for me personally. All in all, a good restaurant and highly recommended.

We wanted to have lunch there and asked if we could sit outside. We were given a blunt no, saying it would soon start raining. We were rudely directed to a table in the back. We decided not to eat there because of the unfriendly greeting.

I ordered a large pork schnitzel with fries and salad. The lettuce was already falling apart, and the dressing was lackluster. Calling it a large schnitzel here is bordering on cheeky. In my opinion, the portions served here are meant for retirees who are full after the second forkful. Once and never again...

We first sat outside by the water, but were able to easily move inside as the rain began to fall. The decor is homely and very cozy. Traditional, regional food. The food was absolutely fantastic, with large portions. Plenty of choice, so there's something for everyone. There's also a great selection of desserts. Prices are reasonable for the location. That's a matter of opinion, of course. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended!

All in all, great: very friendly and good service, a beautiful location, the food was good, prices fair and reasonable, but the taste and presentation needed updating. The dishes for the large salads seemed a bit dated and showing their age, and the garlic bread tasted a lot like a spice mix—not bad, but not something I'd want to eat again.

Good home cooking, friendly service, restaurant a bit "old school"

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The service was nice, but the manager was completely unfriendly, and the food was way overpriced. The schnitzel was from the deep fryer, the sauce was from a packet, and the roast beef with onions was completely cooked even though we ordered it medium-rare. The meatballs were also extremely dry, and the sauce was also from a packet. The restaurant is in a really bad condition. It's a shame. We'll never eat there again.

I left earlier, the service was incredibly friendly and discreet. Pancake soup was good, and so was the salad. The roast beef I ordered medium was overdone, so I sent it back (happens once in 10 years :-) ). The one after that was also terrible. Extremely tough. The meat was also much too thin, and it wasn't allowed to rest. The sauce was so-so, but it thickened like crazy, I think with an enormous amount of sugar. My wife's Maultaschen didn't taste homemade in ages, more like burgers. A real shame, and on top of that, the tourist prices are hefty. We were there 3-4 years ago, and everything was much better overall. You probably have to work hard to relearn the basics here :-/ Don't just rest on your laurels!! The Bavarian dark beer was excellent.

Typical local food, very good and in generous portions. Excellent service. Our daughter is celiac, and they gave us detailed advice and information about what alternatives they could offer her. Quiet, uncrowded atmosphere. Highly recommended.

On July 4th (short trip to the Enz illuminations), I wanted to have a quick bite to eat and chose an outdoor table. The table decorations were nothing special. The order was taken and the time it took for the food to arrive was okay. I had ordered a small portion, which the friendly waitress confirmed. I had ordered a baked potato with herb quark and grilled vegetables. When the food arrived, I was very disappointed. It had nothing to do with a baked potato. You could see the herbs in the quark, some of the potatoes were still a bit hard, just like the vegetables, and there was a lot of liquid on the plate. What that was, I have no idea. As the saying goes, hunger drives it in. I would never order that again. Meanwhile, a couple had sat down at my table. Then I wanted to pay, and then the next bombshell came. The bill was for a normal portion. The waitress then went in to clarify the matter and came with a new bill. Apparently, there was a system error. That's unacceptable. I always calculate what I have to pay in advance. But many do and don't notice. If it works, it works. The couple noticed and immediately calculated what they had to pay. Everyone should do that, because I was charged €3.50 more. Not me. Of course, I still tipped the waitress; it wasn't her fault and she remained very friendly. Nevertheless, it remains one star and I don't recommend it.

Very good home-cooked food, beautifully presented. I had roast pork with homemade bread dumplings. The sauce was very, very good, not too thick, not too thin, and perfectly seasoned. Friendly and attentive service despite the large number of guests, and a nice seating area right on the Enz River.

The Wildbader Hof was excellent, from the seating to the service to the payment. Everyone was friendly and had a sense of humor. The seating is lovely at the lawn tables (superbly designed) in front of the restaurant. It was the only restaurant where all the tables were occupied throughout. We'd be happy to return.

We took a short trip to Bad Wildbad and discovered this inviting restaurant with an outdoor terrace by the river, a fantastic atmosphere, and beautifully decorated tables with greenery, like a grass runner across each one. A truly brilliant idea, and one that's been implemented here. The service is also very friendly, and the food was just what I wanted. It was interesting to see a tram pass by so close you could touch it. That was another surprise. We'd love to come back and thank you for the wonderful time we had with you.

Everything was fine until dessert. I ordered ice cream, the weather was nice, my mood was up, and the ice cream tasted good – until I suddenly had a piece of plastic in my mouth. I called the waitress and showed her what I had done. She took the ice cream to the kitchen. After a few minutes, she came back and said it wasn't the restaurant's fault – the piece of plastic had probably fallen in during serving. As a "solution," I was offered half price for the ice cream. I paid for the other dishes, of course, but not for the ice cream – I made that clear. I know these things can happen. But no excuse for the lack of attention during serving? I found that very disappointing. After this experience, I unfortunately won't be coming back.

We didn't particularly enjoy the food (Maultaschen or pork medallions for €30). The staff seemed somewhat uninterested. The integrated plants at the outdoor tables are a nice touch.

The food was good but poorly presented. The waitress had limited communication skills and only partially understood my questions. We sat in the back, which was also used as a children's playground. It was very loud and the atmosphere was very old-fashioned.

On our second visit to Bad Wildbad, our path also led us to the Wildbader Hof. The extensive menu, including seasonal delicacies, initially caught our attention: could this really work? And what can I say: It did!!! Great service. Dedicated, friendly, and despite all the stress (it was very busy on the day of our visit), the chef was incredibly relaxed and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the ambiance is fantastic. The chef personally brought a few toys to the children's table. I have to say: guests are still appreciated there. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Disappointing. Not sure why it has such good reviews. Unfortunately, Wildbader hof doesn't live up to the hype. The food was overly salted, and the quality of the meat left a lot to be desired—greasy and lacking in flavor. The salad was overdressed and more soggy than fresh. Honestly, this was one of the worst German restaurants we’ve been to. On the plus side, the location right next to the tram line and river gives it a bit of surprising charm—it gave off Hannoi vibes with the train passing so close. But sadly, that was the highlight of the experience. Would recommend just for a drink on the patio 🍻

We ate there a while ago and were very satisfied. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a table in the back of the restaurant. The vaulted cellar and the Easter decorations made us feel very comfortable. We ordered our drinks and our food. Then we wanted to change our drink order, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible because they were already sold out. However, we had to wait a long time for the beer. In the meantime, our salad arrived. The onion roast beef was disappointing. The meat was tough. The pulled pork was good, but the coleslaw wasn't right. In our opinion, white coleslaw belongs with it. We were a bit disappointed with the service, as no one asked if everything was okay...

Portions come in small and large. We really enjoyed our meal. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll be happy to return to the Wildbaderhof.

Getting worse every time. We have been coming to the Wildbader Hof again and again for over a year. An inviting atmosphere, good home cooking at decent prices. At first the quality of the food was good, but from time to time we noticed a loss in quality, both in terms of the food and the service. On March 30, 2025 it was that time again, we traveled from Stuttgart to enjoy a Sunday roast. We ordered roast pork with mushroom sauce, bread dumplings and a side salad. What was striking was the poor knowledge of German on the part of the waitress: the order could only be placed after several attempts. The food came quickly, but the quality was disappointing: the meat was stringy, the sauce tasted like it was "out of the bag" and the three mini dumplings were also unreasonable: soggy, the consistency was like modeling clay, so there was nothing airy about it, just like a bread dumpling should taste. When the boss was called in personally, he swapped the dumplings for a small portion of spaetzle. There was not a word of regret. The spaetzle seemed to have been hand-scraped, but was only lukewarm, cooked without salt water, not tossed in butter. The salad was lovingly garnished with lentil sprouts, which had an aftertaste that you have to like. Bottom line, unfortunately no longer recommended.

Wir hatten uns sehr auf gute schwäbische Küche gefreut, leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Die Spätzle trocken, das Fleischküchle hart und trocken, die Saucen auch nicht lecker, nur der Salat war offensichtlich frisch und auch recht lecker. Selbst der Baileys Eisbecher hat uns enttäuscht. Eiskristalle im Eis und Sprühsahne. Da hatten wir uns doch etwas anderes vorgestellt.

Side salad was anything but crunchy. Roast roast was average, spaetzle was very good!

Wir sind mit Freunden spontan vorbei gekommen, es war alles voll, aber man hat für uns trotzdem ein Plätzchen gefunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne noch Mal.

We were here after a day at the thermal baths. Weiden received a very friendly welcome. The map is extensive. The food was excellent. You can tell that everything was freshly cooked. The roast pork fell on the fork and the bread dumplings were handmade. Definitely. I had the pulled pork myself, which was simply fantastic.

It was full and still got a table for two without a reservation. Good tasty portions. Very friendly.

I was there twice in this restaurant on Sunday January 12th and it's still there as nice as I remembered it from the first time, the food was excellent, the service every restaurant should have such great service, funny and friendly at the same time and the atmosphere was simply awesome, so I can only recommend it, prices are also reasonable For this restaurant I will definitely come again with the family.

If you want to eat delicious food in Bad Wildbad, this restaurant is in good hands. Personally, I like eating here. Bad Wildbad is one of my favorite places in Germany. And this one. Restaurant is also included.

It could be so good, unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't match the products on offer. Plastic ready-made sauces, champions from a can, bread dumplings from a bag are also a finished product. Venison ragou was cooked with one old or two ragouts, old and fresh. Three chefs that I saw and 6 service employees, far too many staff for the quality offered and the number of guests. Now I understand the prices, the staff also has to be paid. With so many staff, there should actually be time to cook fresh food. The boss's excuses when it was brought up were simply below the belt. You can tell that to a normal guest but not to a trained chef 🤭 It's cheaper and, above all, tastier. Best regards go out to the landlord.

After the treetop path, we walked through Bad Wildbad. It was already cold and we saw the display in front of the Wildbader Hof and thought it was inviting. So in, it looked cozy and smelled like good food. We ordered the Gaisburger Marsch and the wild boar meatloaf from the stand. Thumbs up - it was delicious. Service very friendly. Thanks to the team. We had dinner there yesterday. I had the salmon trout which was very well prepared. The service was exceptionally friendly, which is often missing these days. I'm already looking forward to the next time. If you are in Bad Wildbad, the restaurant is definitely an absolute recommendation.
