An absolute highlight in Hanover! The Hendl and Glut impressed me from the first moment. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the interior is modern and cozy at the same time. But the real highlight is the food: juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken that definitely makes the meal. The service is very attentive and friendly, you feel completely comfortable and welcome. The owners are also super nice and accommodating. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. I will definitely be back and can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good meal in Hanover!

The 1/2 chicken was really delicious, the meat was tender and the side dishes were freshly prepared. For dessert we had a homemade tiramisu (fruity version), also very tasty! Friendly staff, attentive and yet unobtrusive. We sat outside in the beer garden - a nice, well-kept atmosphere all around. We'd love to come back!

This is a really, really good restaurant. Good service and good ambience. The food is of course the best. I've never eaten such awesome chicken before. Nicely fried and very tasty and crispy. The staff were also very friendly.

Yesterday we ordered takeaway. Unfortunately, like the last time we ate in the restaurant, the chicken pieces (breaded chicken strips) were not cooked through, the breading was soft and mushy and fell off the meat. The fries weren't good either.

Soo, just tried it and finished with a nice dessert. The most delicious chicken from Hanover, I came here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Had the XL chicken plate and garlic bread with it, my hunger was perfectly satisfied. Everything around it was also great. We will be back. 👍🏻

You can also eat well on site. Recently I saw the new logo and I'm sure the store will continue to do well. I can recommend everything without reservation!!! Update after a while: Still a great shop! The best recommendation would be the Hendl Xxl plate - top value for money 👌 - Drinks took forever / but it was because the poor service woman was completely alone and was therefore overwhelmed, but she made an effort and was running (in the truest sense) and always remained friendly.. Was there today by chance. Was asked in a friendly manner at the door whether we wanted to take away or eat there. Then I ate there. Had free choice of seats. I was immediately taken care of and asked for a drink and made a great meal suggestion, which I then took. I was looked after very much the entire time. Will probably go there again. The price was a bit high, but it was delicious.

I won't miss the old Vienna Woods. The “old” team remained and that is the most important thing. Excellent quality and good service - keep it up and it will be better than ever. All the best

The best half chicken in the world or the pepper chicken version or now sweet chili chicken, the taste is simply great. No matter whether Wienerwald or Hendl & Glutt, quality prevails. Every Hanoverian should treat themselves to this so that it stays with us all for many years and decades to come.

If you want to eat super tasty chicken with good French fries, a good barbecue sauce and a fresh salad in a very well-kept restaurant with a reasonable price/performance ratio, this is the right place for you. The very friendly service also contributes to the overall feeling of well-being. The restaurant has recently stopped operating under the name "Wienerwald", but nothing has changed for the better. It's not so much about the name, but about capable operators!

It is understandable that prices are rising due to more expensive raw materials. But €3.50 for 160g of coleslaw marinated with a few drops of vinegar and oil?! White cabbage, potatoes, onions are pretty much the cheapest foods on the market. Also in a plastic tray that easily fits twice as much... and maybe it should? I think that the customer is clearly being taken advantage of here. Ate a piece of chicken after a long time. Was the animal allowed to live in a somewhat species-appropriate manner when sold for €14.40? Now I'm ashamed and will stay away from it completely. Sorry! (By the way: €1 for 1tbsp barbecue. ?? Cheeky)

Am Eingang des Lokals gibt es einen Abholtresen und dahinter liegt der relativ große recht karge Speiseraum. Wir hatten ein Barbecuehendel mit Krautsalat und Kartoffel-Gurkensalat und einen Geflügelteller XL. Das Chicken Popcorn war super, der Rest war in Ordnung. Tatsächlich ist das Hähnchen sehr saftig und überhaupt nicht trocken, jedoch fehlte mir der Geschmack und auch die Würze von Außen kann ihn nicht ausreichend geben. Desweiteren ist die Haut leider nicht knusprig und der Kartoffel-Gurkensalat war sehr schwer.

Die Speisekarte von Hendl&Glut ist vielfältig und bietet eine große Auswahl an köstlichen Gerichten. Die Hähnchen sind perfekt zubereitet, saftig und voller Geschmack. Die Grillgerichte sind ebenfalls hervorragend, mit einer Vielzahl von Fleisch- und Gemüseoptionen. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Ich habe Hendl & Glut mehrfach besucht, im Sommer ist es draußen gemütlich. Die Speisen sind lecker und das Personal freundlich. Als mir ein Aperol Spritz zu schwach war, wurde dieser verbessert und sichergegangen, dass er mir danach geschmeckt hat, sehr gut. Gestern haben wir bestellt und es hat ein halbes Hendl gefehlt. Dieses wurde keine 10 Minuten später nachgeliefert, mit einer Barbequesauce als Entschuldigung. Die Weihnachtsente war lecker, wenn auch recht teuer. Insgesamt ein sehr guter Laden den ich noch öfter besuchen werde.

Wir haben Essen zum Liefern bestellt, welches auch Recht schnell da war und der Lieferant war sehr freundlich. Hähnchenburger mit Süßkartoffel Pommes, Hähnchen Wrap und Hähnchen Popcorn. Der Burger bspw. war leider nur mittelmäßig, der Patty schien nicht selbstgemacht (aber nur Vermutung) und für mich viel zu viel Sauce (quillte überall raus). Hätte auch ein Hähnchen Filetstück leckerer gefunden. Die Pommes waren schon etwas zu dunkel und schmeckten entsprechend. Das Popcorn fand ich persönlich mit fast 10 Euro für die Menge viel zu teuer.

Es ist seid dem 1.12.24 Hendl und Glut. Das halbe Hähnchen mit Pommes und Salat war lecker,saftig. Aber mit fast 14€ auch recht teuer. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und schnell.

Das Backhandl war spitzenmäßig und auch die anderen Sachen auf der Karte sahen sehr gut aus.

Appetitliches Essen und freundlicher Service! Ich hatte Entenfleisch von der Aktionskarte. Eine reichliche Portion, lecker mit Sahnepilzsauce gebunden und mit Spätzle angerichtet. Meine Gattin war mit ihrem Cordon Bleu, den krossen Pommes und dem Beilagensalat sehr zufrieden. Die Nachspeise, Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis, war ein ordentliches Convinience Produkt, das wir uns geteilt haben. Hier könnten wir uns ein Update gut vorstellen. Übrigens wurde aus dem "Wienerwald" das "Hendl & Glut", aus lizenrechtlichen Gründen. Das bekannte Gastrokonzept wir jedoch beibehalten.

Das Essen ist sehr gut und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Bewertung zehn Sterne

Ich bin Stammgast in diesem Restaurant, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, vorallem die beiden Gastronomiewirten sind für Ihre überaus jederzeit freundliche Art zu loben. Das Essen ist immer lecker, frisch und schnell zubereitet, das Grillhähnchen ist für mich und meine Familie das beste in Hannover!!! Wir freuen uns auch in Zukunft auf Hendl&Glut in neuem Ambiente!

Wir kommen hier gerne hin, das Essen ist immer toll. Doch bei meinem letzten Besuch vor einigen Tagen stimmte wohl was mit meinem Hähnchen nicht … ich fürchte ich habe eine Lebensmittelvergiftung. Deshalb ein Stern Abzug.
