After a break that was far too long, we finally treated ourselves to another evening at Wielandshöhe - and are now wondering why we waited so long. This restaurant remains in a class of its own! The 6 course meal was a delight from start to finish. Every course impressed with excellent products, perfectly prepared and without any unnecessary gimmicks. The focus here is on pure taste - no unnecessary decoration on the plate, but pure quality that speaks for itself. The ambience also matches: timeless elegance, high-quality interior and a lived love of table culture - from fine silver cutlery to the perfect setting. You immediately feel comfortable and valued. Another highlight is the outstanding service. From restaurant manager Eva Klink to each individual team member, you are looked after professionally, warmly and attentively - simply perfect. Conclusion: The Wielandshöhe remains an institution for connoisseurs who appreciate real craftsmanship and genuine flavors. We'll definitely be back - and this time not after such a long time!

Last Saturday we treated ourselves to a visit to the Wielandshöhe. Since we had never been to a Michelin-starred restaurant, we didn't know what to expect. Our waiter took us by the hand from the first minute and gave us very good advice on the choice of drinks and food. Everything we were served was a culinary delight. The atmosphere was relaxed and relaxed, almost familiar, honest and not fake friendliness, nice ambience. An absolute disaster – never again! Our visit to this so-called star restaurant was a complete disappointment. From the first look at the plates it was clear: the food wasn't visually appealing and unfortunately the taste didn't get any better. The dishes were either completely bland or extremely oversalted - no trace of culinary sophistication. The service was also subpar. In a restaurant of this category you would expect at least basic wine advice - but the staff clearly had no idea. When we wanted to order a specific wine, we were actually told that it could only be appreciated from 50 years old! We have never experienced such an arrogant and condescending statement in a restaurant. However, the absolute highlight of impudence came from the boss herself. She said it was “obvious” that we had only come for the option of paying with Amex and described us in a derogatory tone as “Dubai nouveau riche”. Such disrespectful and insulting treatment is unacceptable! The ambience? Unfortunately just as disappointing as the rest. The entire interior looks old and outdated, with no charm or elegance. In addition, in an upscale restaurant it should actually be a given that the dishes are presented and explained at the table - here the plate was simply placed in front of us without comment. Conclusion: A complete failure! Miserable food, incompetent service, intolerable management behavior and an ambience that is more reminiscent of an outdated hotel lobby. Nothing is right here. We can only advise everyone not to visit this place.

Unfortunately, our visit in February 2025 was a disappointing experience. As a group we were looking forward to a special evening in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but our expectations were not met in many ways. As someone with many years of experience in the catering industry and numerous visits to starred restaurants, I feel qualified to give this review. Starting with the service, we found it to be average to poor. The lack of an allergy check is unacceptable in a restaurant of this category. Although the wine list was appealing, it was strange that we were refused to order certain bottles on the grounds that they were "reserved for regular guests". The disparaging attitude expressed to us towards guests who supposedly order expensive wines purely out of prestige was unprofessional and misplaced. The sommelier's statement that he only understands certain wines from the age of 50 seemed excessive and not very competent. The toilets were clean, but old, uncomfortable and looked like a train station. The food itself was the biggest criticism. The dishes were mostly uncreative and in some cases simply inedible. The soup was oversalted and the lack of explanation of the food by the service staff added to the disappointment. The lack of alternatives in a manageable menu is also out of date. The fact that dessert was served despite a clear cancellation rounded off the overall negative picture. Given the high prices for food and drinks, the price-performance ratio was extremely poor. The quality and service offered did not in any way justify the high costs. In addition, an inappropriate comment was made when paying which left the impression that guests were only visiting the restaurant because of the American Express promotion. We regret that we had to have this experience in a restaurant with your reputation. We hope that our feedback serves as an impetus for improvements.

The view is nice, bread was brought regularly when it was empty, but unfortunately that was the positive. Food was average in taste and way too expensive. I've been to a few other star restaurants, such as the Schattbuch or here in Bietigheim in March and March and both were significantly better. It also all took too long. The service was sometimes rude and rude. Among other things, it was more or less assumed that we only eat here because we can pay with our Alex points. That's simply a no go, even if it were like that (I paid with a debit card). We were by far the youngest (all in our early mid-30s), otherwise the average was around the late 50s to mid-60s. The boss was friendly, but also made a few comments that didn't have to be there. But I don't think she meant anything bad, but in my opinion it shows a lack of sensitivity. I wouldn't come here again

In my paradise: That's how I imagined it, arriving relaxed, a very warm welcome, allowing time to study the maps, ordering an aperitif, the wonderful house champagne, choosing the food is very easy, wonderfully lactic and Mediterranean offerings, advice on wine selection from the boss, a little chat, and so on and so on... Incredibly polite but pleasantly not aloof staff. We really liked the world of flavors, from A to Z, whether veal head or octopus, cutlet or fish. Splendid!!! We were very disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right here at all. Gourmet cuisine prices are charged for the upscale inn cuisine. The fillet tips (manageable portion) with green pepper only contained one peppercorn. 58 euros were called for this. The fish fillet was very straightforward and was served with a very generous portion of potato salad. It was very cold in the dining room. The service was attentive and friendly. We cannot make a recommendation, especially since the customer is informed online that he has no special requests. There are better addresses here in terms of food and service.

We were in Wielandshöhe for the first time last week. A star restaurant that is still open at the beginning of January after the holidays - rather unusual, but all the more pleasing. The patron is known from television and from his books, which are worth reading. So now a first visit to the beautifully located restaurant in Degerloch with a fantastic view over and of Stuttgart. Unfortunately, the taxi driver didn't even know where - let alone what kind of restaurant Wielandshöhe was - even though the restaurant has been starred since 1993. Be that as it may, the reception in the restaurant was even warmer and more professional. The ambience is comfortable and very classic. No modern frills - thick tablecloths, beautiful china and fine glasses. The service from start to finish was professional, friendly and competent. The food was a dream - no plate painting, no foam, no deconstructed tralalas. First class craftsmanship, classic French inspired, seasonal and regional. Offering a classic like the "Lièvre royal, the royal hare" on the menu is something only someone who knows their craft and isn't afraid to put a dish from the 19th century on the menu would do. The wines are selected with love and expertise. And the boss greets us at the table - that's how we love it. A really successful evening. We'd love to come back!

We really appreciate that the team is made up of many nationalities, but unfortunately we also notice that language skills don't always make it possible to have a charming chat. Unfortunately, certain inattention also occurred, such as forgetting to give us a damp cloth in advance, unlike the other guests. The waiting time between courses was sometimes a bit long. The speech by the boss is not distributed evenly to all the guests, but that's not why we were there. Unfortunately, we didn't have any recommendations for wine. The Valrhona chocolate sorbet (!) for dessert is incredibly surprising and delicious. The selection of small, sweet delicacies with coffee is just as pleasing.

The courses were not announced or what was on the plate was not explained. The aisles were parked in front of you with a short “bon appetit”. Unfortunately there is no wine accompaniment to the individual courses. It seems that the restaurant stopped 25 years ago and has not evolved. We expected more from a star restaurant and we know it to be significantly different from other restaurants in this category. Price-performance wasn't right for us either.

The warm atmosphere, supported by the loving and extremely attentive service, leaves nothing to be desired. A personal highlight was the conversation with Mr. Vincent Klink himself, who was not only an outstanding chef but also a charismatic host. A big, heartfelt thank you goes to the entire kitchen team, the service team and everyone who works in the background to create such an extraordinary gastronomic experience. Highly recommended! The dining room is pleasantly discreetly decorated in a discreet and unobtrusive late 20th century style - I like that very much! Beautifully decorated and fresh flower bouquets are scattered around. We ordered a la carte. The boss gave us personal advice at the table and competently clarified any doubts or questions. At my special request, she was even able to offer us a wine from Italy that suited my taste, a 2012 Barbaresco Gaja. Later, during the main course, I was very pleasantly surprised by it. The amuse-bouche came with the champagne and I was immediately thrilled. I have to admit that I already knew from previous visits that the Wielandshöhe prefers local Baden and Swabian ingredients of the highest quality and, when preparing them, largely in the form of a combination of Swabian, but also Mediterranean (primarily Italian), and sometimes even Asian Note can be tasted. But that's exactly what I expect in all restaurants around the world: authentically down-to-earth but high-quality cuisine with all the delicious ingredients from the respective region, but also with sophisticated influences and ideas that the rest of the world offers. In addition, I always take great pleasure when - like here - imagination, courage and skill are used to create something completely new and surprising from everything that is available regionally. Not just for the palate, also for the nose and the eyes. Fortunately, in Wielandshöhe I don't find any experimental cuisine that is painstakingly spiced up with ingredients brought in from far away, or perhaps even a copy of the gastronomy of other countries. When it comes to the selection of wines and spirits, I really appreciate the wide, international selection of the finest delicacies. In short: I wasn't disappointed here either - on the contrary! Aperitif, champagne, salad (refined dressing!), vegetables (sensation!), my fish, the wines - everything was perfectly served and just as I had hoped. Sometimes I was even pleasantly surprised by completely new flavor nuances (dessert!). In between, "godfather" Vincent himself suddenly appeared at the table and asked us in his inimitably warm way whether everything was really okay. As the food and wine continued, we always had enough time for conversation and fun at the table without being rushed. The equally surprising second highlight of the evening was the digestif in the form of a very noble and previously unknown fruit brandy from Württemberg, which literally hit the palate after the dessert and before the espresso. The petits fours with the coffee were perfectly prepared and rounded off the meal perfectly. The ambience, the light at the table, the service, the communication, the friendly, warm manner - everything fits together to ensure a well-rounded and successful evening. I also find it very pleasant to be able to complete the annoying payment process discreetly at a somewhat secluded counter at the end, without having to discuss it unnecessarily at the table. Another nice thing is that there is a comfortable seating area for smokers right at the entrance, where the other guests cannot be disturbed. We really enjoyed the evening there again.

The two of us had dinner at Wielandshöhe. Sherry as an aperitif. We found onion tart as an amuse gueule rather inappropriate in front of the Irish rock oysters. The oysters were of very good quality and the vinaigrette was fine. The monkfish with a king prawn and mussels in a crustacean sauce was overall solid, but unfortunately not a star experience. The white bread served was good. The Challans duck was rather average in terms of aroma. We missed an interplay of aromas with thyme, rosemary and juniper, as well as a finely balanced acidity. The sauce overall is meaningless. Overall, high quality products and workmanship; Umami, on the other hand, average; No element of surprise; The taste experience and prices don't match. The website says: "The prices are less dependent on the products, but rather correspond to the salary demands of the employees" and unfortunately you can feel that here. If you think you will get extremely high quality served in this restaurant, you are unfortunately wrong. The focus here is on the employees, but unfortunately that's not enough in my opinion. It's a shame, we expected much more - especially from a star restaurant. Conclusion: we had a 5-6 course meal and went to bed hungry. The courses were served cold, except for the soup, which was the highlight of the evening. What a shame!

The biggest disappointment of my life. Arranged a meal for my mother, who is a big fan of Vinzenz Kling. Ordered a bouquet of flowers, asked if Vincent was there, which was answered in the affirmative, and then discovered that nothing had been prepared. BUT: The little salt shaker belongs in the trash. This is available in packs of 10 in the metro and can be found at every snack bar. The contrast to the very high quality pepper mill cannot be greater. 1 point deduction. The food: Mediocre (e.g. the egg with spinach). A great idea. I was thrilled. Unfortunately not from the result. The spinach could also have been frozen. Very boringly prepared and boringly presented. Too bad. My main course, pork chop. Perfectly prepared. Wonderfully breaded. 1a. Add the green salad and potato salad. Unfortunately again only so-so. Both in terms of taste and presentation. However, the included thyme jus tore this course apart. It was unique. I've never had such a delicious jus. Very big cinema. The other courses, including my wife's, were all good. But not as good as we expect from a star kitchen. All in all: Ms. Klink's service is a highlight. Without their presence - and without the jus - only three stars would be justified. But there are four.

If you happen to be in Stuttgart and neglect to dine at this establishment, you will have missed out on a significant aspect of your visit. I had heard about this restaurant from several reliable sources and felt compelled to experience it firsthand. My expectations were not only met, but perhaps even exceeded. The entire staff was exceptionally welcoming and demonstrated a genuine passion for their culinary offerings. We opted for the baby chicken, which was highly recommended by the restaurant's owner, and it proved to be an excellent choice. The mixed salad was also remarkable, with its well-balanced seasoning and generous portion. The mushroom risotto, prepared with locally sourced ingredients, was another standout dish. The restaurant's art deco theme, featuring various paintings and a cozy atmosphere, created a delightful ambiance. I must commend the establishment for its exceptional qualities and eagerly anticipate my next visit. May this establishment continue its 34-year legacy of culinary excellence.

Thursday evening in Stuttgart. People traveled from Berlin full of anticipation to experience another culinary evening. Rain and discomfort outside, a place of happiness inside. Then you're spoiled for choice: menu or à la carte? We then put together a menu ourselves from the menu. And yet you don't manage to try all the delicacies... the selection is simply too large. So no porcini mushrooms... The leek quiche to start with is simply wonderful. Freshly baked, lukewarm, super fluffy filling, crispy thin dough. The bread and the salted butter - actually a meal in itself. The starters arrive one after the other: goat cheese with pear - wonderful combination. Fried veal head with chanterelles and vinaigrette - a really hearty dish for people who don't just appreciate the fillet and back of the animal. The brain soup was also delicious, nicely foamed and garnished with a dollop of cream. Then there was tripe soup, again real connoisseur's food. Sweet-sour, dark, strong. And then the bouillabaise in the main course. It tasted exactly as you would imagine: intense crustacean aroma in the sauce, juicy cooked fillets, roasted bread rubbed with garlic and all of this combined perfectly with the saffron rouille...a real treat! The white wine goes with it and is sparkling. Chocolate pudding with vanilla sauce and ice cream? Yes gladly! Espresso, Calvados, heart, what more could you want? In short: we felt very comfortable, received great service and nothing was missing. The dishes on the menu are varied and you can find both classics and more unusual dishes. Nowadays it's very modern to say nose to tail...it's something that's been done here as a matter of course for decades. The wine list is its own book, everyone will find something there. Two pages of digestifs alone. You can really have a good time here. We are already looking forward to the next time, in a year or two 😊 Thanks to the team and it's great that restaurants like this still exist.

Not so good. The dessert was a disaster. If you want to have a nice evening with bread for hours, this is the right place. 800 euros for waiting times that were underground. Reservations were made at 6:30 p.m. and the starter was brought in stages at 8:30 p.m. Unfortunately it's no longer worth a visit for us.

My wife and I each had a four-course meal. When we asked about a wine pairing we got an answer. We don't have a sommelier, so there is no wine pairing. That was the first disappointment. The two starters we had tasted like they had forgotten to season them. My wife and I looked at each other and said this can't be true. In addition, it took an eternity for the individual courses to arrive. We were diligently put bread and butter on the table, but I don't go to an expensive restaurant to fill myself up with bread. The kid as a main course was very good. The main course came after two hours, by which time our stomachs were already full of bread. My wife's dessert didn't make her happy. My cheese platter with explanations from the service staff, on the other hand, does. Conclusion: The quality of the food depends heavily on who prepares the food. The whole disappointment took place on July 18, 2024. We still have the bill.

The food tasted very well prepared. You can enjoy a great view over Stuttgart. The staff is polite and courteous. The restaurant is upscale. The table arrangement is a bit sober. Conclusion: The food was well prepared, but the price/performance ratio is not related. I personally think the pricing, i.e. the calculation, is too high. I will not publish any products or prices, everyone should form their own opinion.

Hard to beat in terms of taste. Perfectly prepared, there is nothing to complain about in terms of quality. On the occasion of our 50th anniversary we were with Vincent Klink and his team on Saturday evening. We got a nice table by the window and were able to enjoy the view of the Stuttgart basin. The food was excellent. The wine advice was excellent, Eva Klink took the time to do it everywhere. The team is international, which is important to the patron, and very attentive. Upscale, modern interpretation of Swabian cuisine with regional products in an owner-run restaurant with a magnificent view. The service was attentive and friendly. The owner couple is always present and passionate about it. Price-performance okay. Maybe a little finesse is missing here and there in the individual dishes, but the excellent taste makes up for it. If you expect tweezers in the kitchen, you're in the wrong place. Down to earth and very tasty. Ambiance OK. A minor renovation here and there would certainly not be out of place. The location of the restaurant, the view of Stuttgart…a dream. The menu changes constantly, as only what is fresh is put on the table. For our wedding anniversary we had to have something special again. And that was it. From the warm welcome to the farewell, we were completely pampered. The staff was 100% attentive and you felt a real, not fake, friendliness. The “boss” was also always present and asked about the well-being of his guests. Of course, before I forget, the most important thing and the real reason for our visit, the food. Absolutely outstanding and delicious. Not a place for a birthday On February 1st, 2024 I went to Wielandshöhe with my mother (86). We were in a relatively positive mood and wanted to eat well. Nice reception, nice staff who served us. After we ordered, I wanted to play the Stevie Wonder song "Happy Birthday" from my mother's cell phone. The song lasts exactly 4.45 minutes. It wasn't overly loud. After two minutes the boss came to our table quite energetically and said: When the song is finished I shouldn't play anything else. Honestly, I found that tactless. First of all, you don't have to educate me, I had no intention of playing any more songs. Especially after two minutes, I felt oppressed. And in a restaurant where you can't even be happy, it's crazy and I never want to go there again. I wanted to give my mother a little joy and would have liked not to have been interrupted by the boss. Well, we didn't let it ruin our evening. We had good food and the dessert was also delicious. Natürlich ist das Essen ausgezeichnet, der Service ausgezeichnet und die Räumlichkeiten sehr schön, inklusive Aussichtslage. Aber es ist schon sehr hochpreisig, meiner Ansicht nach doch zu hochpreisig. Manche Ausgangsprodukte, z.B. Linsen, sind bei aller Hochwertigkeit eben dennoch keine Luxusware.

Aus der Zeit gefallen. Essen überteuert, ohne Rafinesse. Es gibt weitaus bessere Restaurants, bspw. Hupperts. Wenn man dort war, kommt man sich bei Klink drei Etagen tiefer vor. Die Einrichtung ist trotz fantastischer Aussicht gefühlt aus den 90ern. Einfach nicht unser Ding. Zur Hauptspeise: Reh mit Spätzle an Wacholdersauce war schlecht abgeschmeckt, trotz sehr guter Fleisch Qualität. Das Risotto mit Waldpilzen war gut, aber nix besonderes. Kriegen wir als ambitioniete Köche auch hin. Die Aufmachung der Speisen war absolut lieblos. Die Lauchquiche als Gruß aus der Küche war lecker, sah aber aus wie bei Oma in einer rauchigen Stube. Lediglich die Vorspeise, der Ziegenfrischkäse mit gebratener Birne und Trevisano kombinierte fein die Nuancen verschiedener Geschmäcker: süßlich, sauer, fest und cremig. Für uns definitiv das einzige sternewürdige am heutigen Abend. Die Panna cotta war im Nachgang sagenhaft: Vanille und Zitronen-Aromen, sehr feiner Geschmack. Aufmachung: 1992. Es wurde im übrigen noch ein Wein verwechselt, das darf einfach in einem Lokal dieser Kategorie nicht passieren. Bei Preisen die einem Stern würdig sind muss sich hier dringend etwas am Ambiente, der Aufmachung, der Speisenpräsentation und an der Finesse tun. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Ich hatte mir schlichtweg mehr erhofft und war schon besser essen in Restaurationen, die nicht so hochpreisig sind. Das Essen war ok (würde ich als gut bürgerlich einstufen), aber für mich nichts für einen erneuten Besuch (verbranntes Gemüse, alles etwas lieblos und ohne pfiff und Raffinesse, Weinstein im Wein,...). Ich bin froh, dort einmal Gast gewesen sein und mir mein eigenes Bild gemacht haben zu dürfen. Das Restaurant verströhmt einen 80er Jahre Charme und auch der "Service" war ziemlich oldschool, irgendwie einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß und "stehen geblieben". Ich kann die Wielandshöhe niemandem empfehlen, der in der Gegenwart lebt und auch anderswo essen geht :)

Sehr enttäuschend! Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Das Essen geschmacklich nichts besonderes, keinerlei Raffinesse ohne irgendeine Geschmacksexplosion. Zudem haben wir zwischen den Gängen sehr lange warten müssen. 3 Stunden für vier Gänge. War dann leider sehr zäh. Die Erwartungshaltung war leider eine andere.

Uns fehlte es an Raffinesse und die Optik könnte noch optimiert werden-vor allem beim Dessert hätten wir mehr erwartet. Die Weinbegleitung war in Ordnung. Der Service war freundlich und kompetent.

Was ein Erlebnis. Endlich haben wir es auch geschafft bei dem Schwäbischen Urgestein Vincent Klink zu speisen. Die Qualität des Essens und die Freundlichkeit des Services waren phänomenal. Jeder der die schwäbische Küche kennt sollte hier einmal gegessen haben. Die beiden Signature Dishes sind die Maultasche in der Ochsenconsommé und das Kotelett mit Kartoffelsalat und sollten unbedingt probiert werden.

Dare... Even if it doesn't look that appealing from the outside... Just go in and enjoy it! Super friendly staff and mega delicious food! It's worth it! I just wanted something small and stuck with the cheese spaetzle... but I could only see good things on the rest of the tables in terms of appearance and size! It was very well attended and there was constant coming and going!

Nice and cozy here. The cuisine is delicious and worth eating here. I wished for more side dishes. Peppers, tomatoes or maybe eggplant. I know that the specialties are from Bosnia, but a few vegetables would still have been great… The waiter (owner) is super nice..

The last time we went was a few years ago and it stayed in our minds very well, but when we went today, the wait time was increased because there was only one employee trying to get everywhere. Also, the pasta was definitely not as delicious as before. The prices have also increased quite a bit.
