Wichtel Hausbrauerei Feuerbach in Stuttgart

The Wichtel in Feuerbach is really a great location. The atmosphere is very inviting and with 2 floors there is plenty of space for many guests. Due to the open design, it gets quite loud, at least on the upper floor, when there are a lot of guests. But the service is very friendly and quick and the food is extremely tasty. As you can see on the menu, the selection is limited, but there are enough tasty options to suit almost every taste. And the prices are completely ok, rather cheap to normal for Stuttgart standards. We were very satisfied. A visit is really worth it. Highly recommended!

Great service, delicious beer 🍻 the schnitzel is better too thin and therefore hard in places unfortunately. And the toilet container is public with a key, which would be better as the toilet in the restaurant has been renovated for a long time.

Review: Disappointing visit on November 24th, 2024 On November 24th, 2024, four of us ate at this restaurant around 3:00 p.m., hoping for a pleasant dining experience based on the consistently good reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were completely disappointed. Positive: The ambience of the restaurant is appealing. The parking options right in front of the door are a big plus. Negatives: Service: The service seemed extremely listless and demotivated. It seemed like the staff didn't enjoy their work. Our order was taken in a hurry, without any friendly involvement. Food: Although the food and drinks were served quickly, the quality of the food was a disaster. Everything tasted neutral in taste, without salt or other spices. The “Spätzle” didn’t seem freshly prepared, which is something we would have expected differently in a city like Stuttgart. The schnitzel was sufficient, but also tasteless. The tarte flambée was okay, but equally boring. Overall the food was just bland and disappointing. Toilet: The toilets are located outside the restaurant, which is not ideal but still acceptable. Conclusion: Despite the appealing ambience and good parking options, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. Neither the service nor the quality of the food were convincing. We had hoped for much more for a restaurant in Stuttgart. It's a shame, but we definitely won't come back again.

Everything was great, gnome cake, beer, there was even a hefeweizen, unfortunately only as a promotional drink, it's a shame that the wheat beer is no longer on the menu, very friendly and attentive service and it's great that you can now also buy it online Beer garden can be reserved. We were in a group of 15 people for dinner at Wichtel. The food was good with some room for improvement. The service was really convincing. The two reserved tables were quickly converted into a long table by the staff, the order was taken promptly and we didn't have to wait long for food and drink.

I didn’t quite understand this pizzas. You have 3 types of sauce to choose from, we chose cream and spinach but I can’t find it tasteful nor interesting. Specially the spinach sauce below had no taste what so ever. But beer and wine where good.

Food good. Beer good. Surroundings incredibly loud. Price ok.

There were 32 people in the Wichtel and no one had to wait long for their drink or food. Everything went very quickly. Many thanks again to the service and kitchen.

Delicious food in a good atmosphere.

Of course, Wichtel Ambiente doesn't quite compare with Ditzingen. Furthermore, the lack of staff or employees is currently noticeable. This has improved significantly since my last visit.

Nice location, eat well if you eat an elf

The food is mostly very hearty and the portions are large. The waitress is very friendly. In the evening it became very difficult to converse with the people at your table, as it was very difficult to understand each other due to the increased noise level in the large open room. Otherwise there is a cozy atmosphere. The toilet is currently being renovated, which unfortunately means you have to go to a toilet container outside the restaurant.

Schnitzel quite dry, quite expensive for the price. Otherwise everything tastes very tasty and good. Would still come back.

The food is average to good. The selection of Secret Santa cakes is good. Something for everyone and very tasty. You shouldn't expect too much from the schnitzel. But the house beer is great. Always quite full, even during the week. The service is so mediocre. You can also sit in front of an empty glass for 30 minutes without anyone asking. There are enough parking spaces available. I still enjoy coming here after work.

The food was once again super delicious! Unfortunately it was shift change when we ate there and reordering and paying took a while. Unfortunately, the toilets in the Wichtel are currently closed and you are allowed to go outside in containers.

A lot of people, really good food and beer. If you want something to eat and drink for the evening, it’s a good place :)

Delicious beer, nice ambience, friendly and helpful team. But there are far too few employees there at peak time in the evening. The few waitresses are running almost constantly and doing their best, but we still have to wait an extremely long time for everything. We had to wait about 1 hour for our food (for a table of 3), and getting a beer replenishment also took more than 10 minutes.

Good reservation option online. Good organization, friendly fast service, delicious food. Very good price/performance ratio. Parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Easily accessible on foot from the train station. Rooms are a bit reverberant, so a bit noisy when fully occupied. However, conversation at the table is possible.

Rustic brewery with simple but delicious dishes. This time the food only received 4 stars because the dishes were all very tasty but not hot enough. We would still like to come back.

Unfortunately we had an extremely bad experience today. We were a group of 17 in the restaurant and wanted to add another table so we could sit together. The restaurant was almost empty. The waitress's reaction was literal: Either they sit where the tables are or they go to another restaurant. We then followed the advice and received great service elsewhere and ate delicious food. So if you don't value good manners or appreciation, the Wichtel Feuerbach is exactly the right place for you.

Commerce outweighs the brewing trade. The beer on offer (for one franc) is also rather mediocre.

Wir waren mit reichlich 30 Personen anlässlich einer Veranstaltung des Baden-Württembergischen Sängerbunds im Freien Musikzentrum (FMZ) und sind zum Mittagessen ins Wichtel. Es hat alles wunderbar geklappt: der Service war exzellent, das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und wir hatten in dem Zeitrsum, der uns zur Verfügung stand, sogar in Ruhe essen können. Nächstes Jahr sind wir auch wieder im Oktober da. Wir freuen uns schon!

Bisher waren wir immer stets zufrieden, sowohl was Speis und Trank, als auch was den Service betrifft: Gestern war leider wenig davon zufriedenstellend: Dass erste Bier war warm, dafür waren die Pommes kalt und die Bedienung "maulig". Schade - Das mag zum Teil daran gelegen haben, dass wir oben auf der Empore saßen, darf aber nicht sein - Die Pommes wurden zwar getauscht, das warme Bier liegt aber wohl daran, dass am Anfang des Abends noch warmes Bier ind er Leitung nach oben steht, weil die weiteren Biere waren wie gewohnt kalt

Flamkuchen was VERY salty. It was the bacon/sausage itself. Not worth it and gave me a stomachache afterwards. If it wasn’t for it, I guess it would be ok…

Coziness and a feel-good atmosphere are right

A nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food looked great but unfortunately the schnitzel was so hard that it was almost too difficult to chew. You should definitely make a reservation in the evenings, even during the week.

Great beer (light and pilsner) and the Wichtelkuchen (pizza tarte flambée hybrid) are really recommended. Prices are not necessarily cheap (but reasonable for a house beer). But the great service made it all complete. Definitely tip!

The place looks quite nice. Germans would say ‘urig’, with all of the old beer bottles all around. Prices are actually still pretty moderate. And the portions are even better. Taste very good as well. Service was a bit chaotic, BUT they managed to handle it VERY well. No discussions about who was wrong, and a free beer, that was WAY beyond what I’m used to. Full Stars

Unfortunately the food is just average. Schnitzel was okay, spaetzle was prepackaged, salad dressing was hard to taste. Price wise okay. Schnitzel with spaetzle 16€. I would give the visit 2.5 stars.

Fast service by very friendly staff and really reasonable prices with delicious food (this time the delicious “Bauernwichtel”). The restaurant also has a very nice, rustic atmosphere and you just feel comfortable. Gladly again :-D.

A nice brewery with friendly staff. You are served quickly and the food doesn't take long. In my opinion, I would like heartier food. For example, knuckle, something with sauerkraut, lentils and spaetzle. Real brewery food. Otherwise, keep it up

Brewery business, food and drinks were ok. Incorrectly delivered food was replaced without any problems. You can go there every now and then, dogs are welcome and given a bowl of fresh water as soon as they arrive

The food was good, the potatoes were cold and they always served me warmer than straight potatoes from the fridge, the staff was great. The downside is that you sit outside and someone has to open the door to the toilet, which is very close to the tables

Went to the Wichtel in Feuerbach yesterday. it started well. When I asked whether there was service here, I received a rude answer. Service worker a young girl unfriendly. Food substandard and not tasteful. Beer tastes good. Never again

Drinks and food came quickly after ordering and were very tasty and seemed super fresh. Unfortunately there is a deduction because the service was mostly standing around and didn't pass on our request to pay to the only one who could or was allowed to collect... We had to follow up several times.

We sat outside in the beer garden. The food was good as usual, even if the cheese was saved a bit on the Secret Santa cake. The service was friendly and attentive, even if it was busy for a Tuesday evening.

The environment of the location may be a bit on the poor side. This is partly made up for by the design of the terrace and the interior. The service and food were excellent, befitting a German beer garden.

Great food nice location and atmospheare

Were here again recently with relatives. No longer recommended. Especially if you want to be full. Expensive but ok for just drinking beer. But better not for eating. We had a lot of different dishes: schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, meat skewers, salad with meat, Maultaschen, gnome cake. Pretty much no one was full due to the almost ridiculously small portions. With the Kässpätzle, the small salad garnish that came with it was higher and wider than the main course itself. In terms of taste, it was also worse than making it yourself at home. Only the gnome cake wasn't big, but at least there was something to it. The schnitzels for almost 15 euros were approx. 2 × 75 grams. The children's schnitzel was about 125. You could hardly see the difference. Since all of the 10 people were very dissatisfied, this review is now to make others aware of it and perhaps to make the owners realize that the required price and quality + portion size have unfortunately now fallen below the lower limit. A pity.

Let's put it this way: the beer is really good! After we had to return the first portion of schnitzel with fries because both were completely cold, at least the fries were warm for the second portion. The schnitzel itself was pretty much the worst thing we've ever eaten. My Secret Santa cake came when my partner had finished the schnitzel.

No longer what it used to be.....the gnome cake is no longer what it used to be. The dough was always a mixture of loose pizza dough and crispy tarte flambée dough. Today the dough was probably too thin and too dry due to not enough sauce. One had a biscuit with toppings. Here too, like almost everywhere, the prices have risen sharply (understandable given the increasing expenses for restaurateurs) but when the quality also deteriorates, it is very sobering and annoying. The Junior Secret Santa cake we ordered didn't even fill my daughter (2 years old). It cost a whopping €7.50 and was so small and thin and also like a biscuit that broke into a thousand pieces when cut. The topping itself tasted good. We were really disappointed, especially since we have enjoyed coming here for the past few years and it has always tasted consistently good.

If we can't think of anything else, we'll go there...

Secret Santa cake is no longer as tasty as it once was

Unfortunately, the quality of the Secret Santa cakes has declined significantly.

A really great service person who did well in English with our team from the USA. The ambience outside is pretty bleak, but if you want to have a conversation you can ignore it. It was a real shame that the food wasn't convincing - neither the Maultaschen in gravy (?!?) with homemade potato salad, which were advertised as a local specialty, nor the cordon bleu with spaetzle, which were not sold at all despite being very hungry. The very small pizzas were ok, but not outstanding. It was great that there was pizza made from wholemeal spelled dough. However, it tasted special. Spinach sauce was chosen under the vegetable topping. This combo required a lot of beer to wash down. At home, the cross-toasted leftover tasted delicious as a snack. In conclusion, I would advise visiting from abroad to go somewhere else if you want to impress with Swabian cuisine. And I don't have to do Secret Santa again either.

Super Service Beer garden and the restaurant is inviting

Good range of German hops and a great range of foods, for vegetarians. Loved the simplicity of outdoor seating for summer especially. Parking was convenient. My favorite was the sweet potato fries and well topped pizzas. The toppings were fresh and bread was just baked enough. Service was good, though a bit busy. Beers on tap were excellent and the apple flavoured radler was fizzy.

Schnitzel with fries, 2 pieces of meat, unfortunately a bit dry and a small bowl of fries... Beer is a matter of taste but it suited me. Nice outside area and nice service. I think gnome cakes (similar to a cross between pizza and tarte flambée) are the better choice.

Service is always friendly and attentive. Delicious Pils from the in-house brewery and there are now enough vegetarian and vegan food options. On top of that, I think the gnome in Feuerbach is the best gnome in the chain. Addendum: the food is now so-so, but the service is still friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, this is probably a problem in many Wichtel restaurants, you can notice/taste the system catering. The beer, however, is consistently good.
