Westfalenschänke in Hamm

Yesterday we went to dinner in Westfalenschenkel. I have to say, despite the high number of guests, we felt very comfortable. The staff was friendly, nice and accommodating. They apologized several times that it was taking a little longer. Absolutely fine for us because they can't do more than work. We had a steak plate. I have to say, price performance is completely okay. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. A compliment to the service and the kitchen. We'll definitely be back.

It was our first time there after the operator changed. Super tasty, great service, what more could you want? For us one of the best Balkan restaurants in Hamm and the surrounding area. Keep it up!

It's a shame, I really imagined my birthday would be nicer. Service was not satisfactory and it had no welcome culture, more of a check-in character, short and despite the new opening, obviously not interested in conversation or in recommending the house. The main course Campionsrahnschnitzel was not tasty, but you could eat it - the mushrooms in the sauce were raw, which I have never had served in many years of visiting restaurants. The guest room quickly became unpleasantly flooded with the smells of the kitchen. We ended the stay very quickly. Please urgently install an adequate ventilation system in the kitchen. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again.

Ate there today with 4 people. Rooms with old baking.. which wasn't bad. But the ventilation was a disaster, the dining room was full of smoke so that our clothes stank. The food was at the level of a chip shop.. Schnitzel was pre-baked and the mushrooms from the champion sauce were cold, the fries oversalted.Staff didn't change their faces..sad for a new opening..

Been there today. Beer garden designed quite nicely. Service not very fluent in German. The fact is that we definitely didn't get what we ordered. Both my husband and I expressly pointed out that we wanted the sauces for the schnitzel separately. " Sure no problem"... However, the schnitzels came drowned in the sauces...when we complained about this, the (now owner) stayed at the table until we embarrassedly accepted the food. I can still slap myself for it. There was no apology or offer of compensation from the boss. When we ordered the bill we asked: another schnapps?? No statement: on the house, or maybe a dessert as an apology... NOTHING - NADA... Apart from this impudence, we can say that the schnitzel itself was good, - but a bit dry, - sauces were probably more of a finished product, - salad was fresh and sufficient. Salad sauces as usual. We won't eat here again and definitely won't recommend this restaurant: such bottomless ignorance on the part of a restaurant operator is unparalleled...but definitely no guests!!!

We were there on a Sunday and the beer garden was well attended. The service was friendly and quickly brought us our first drinks. Unfortunately, as some reviews have already mentioned, we were disappointed by the food and the associated waiting time. The menu was very limited and as a vegetarian I unfortunately only had the classic “vegetable platter” for €14 to choose from. Unfortunately, I only got full because I also ordered fries. However, the steak that my friend ordered was good and, according to him, tasted good. We had to wait just over an hour, which was okay for us, but the guests who came after us waited almost 1.5 hours for their food. A table next to us ordered a dish with fries and was only told after 45 minutes of waiting that there were no more fries. (On a Sunday.) At the end we wanted to pay with a voucher from the restaurant (not the voucher book) and we were told that we should have said this beforehand. The waiter initially didn't want to accept the voucher because otherwise there would be "difficulties with the cash register". Only when I said that this was not legal was the voucher accepted. Due to this experience, we will unfortunately no longer be visiting the Westfalenschänke for the time being. However, the beer garden is really nice and the drinks (wine) tasted very good. The waiters were always friendly and tried to fulfill the guests' wishes.

Waited 1.5 hours and still no food. It's normal to wait that long when asked. We won't be staying here again. And I still haven't had any food, even though 10 minutes have passed.

Since it was very warm, we looked for a restaurant with a beer garden and found the Westfalenschranke on the internet. The beer garden is really well laid out and the food was just great. Everything freshly prepared and delicious. The schnitzels are also freshly prepared and fried in the pan. The service was very friendly. The 60 kilometers were really worth it and we'll be back ;-)

Great beer garden with nice seating. The little wooden houses are particularly nice to sit outside. Very attentive and friendly service. Extensive menu and the dishes are sufficiently portioned and very, very tasty. Prices and performance are right.

We "celebrated" our son's confirmation there on a Saturday, i.e. we ate there together after church. There were 16 of us and we asked in advance whether it was possible there. The restaurant also has a small room that can accommodate around 30 to 40 people. We were able to get exactly that and discussed the process and the dishes in a lovely preliminary conversation. We chose grilled platters with fries, rice and croquettes. Vegetables were of course also included, as were suitable sauces, ketchup and mayo. We were able to pack up what we didn't manage to do. Afterwards we ended the day with coffee and cake. I would also like to mention that the opening hours have been adjusted for us. From the total price I can say that it was absolutely fair and within reason. Really great value for money, we won't eat there for the last time. And can recommend the restaurant 100%. I specifically ordered fried potatoes to take away with both dishes because the fries are always sticky Arrived home and had fries for both dishes Then the next nasty surprise The lettuce was brownish and wilted The yogurt dressing had a bite Minced meat filled with sheep's cheese was so hard that it all ended up in the bin My husband eats exactly the same Also in the bin 30 euros thrown out the window

First visit after searching for good schnitzels online. Wednesday was schnitzel day. There were 4 of us. Schnitzel was ordered 3 times. Great taste. Fries good. Fried potatoes good. The typical salad bar is okay. Standard selection, mild pepperoni would be nice. Dressing and oil selection good. However, the salad bar could be better highlighted and modernized. Unfortunately there was no trout, but that is a sign of fresh produce. Finally, a sentence about service. The waiter was professional and friendly. I'm looking forward to visiting the beer garden soon.

We were traveling by bike. When we realized that the Kötter beer garden was unfortunately full, we decided to go to this location. We just had our feet on the ground when an employee or landlord complained to us that we should put the bikes somewhere else. No hello, no nothing, just unfriendly. When my father asked him about it after he brought the drinks to the guests, he just said that he hadn't said it like that. So when you're received like that, you just forget it. Well...we won't be going there again. Logical.

The food was again very tasty. See you soon again.

The food was quite good, there was fresh salad from the buffet with various dressings, although two containers were already pretty empty. They should be refilled more often, but that's just a small criticism. But otherwise everything was good, we were served quickly and friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Sehr nettes Lokal, vordere Teil mit großem Kamin und Kneipe. Hinten mehr Lokal, größeren Saal. Schneller und netter Service. Salatbuffet, klein, aber okay und lecker. Zwiebelsuppe spitze. Fischteller super, Fleisch mit pfeffersauce, auch sehr gut. Pommes super knusprig

Wir gehen hier ab und an Kegeln mit anschließendem Essen. Das Essen und die Leute sind prima und zuvorkommend. Leider ist die Westfalenschänke einschließlich Kegelbahn in die Jahre gekommen. Eine Renovierung würde hier gut tun. Der neue Biergarten mit seinen Holzhütten lädt dagegen zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen trotzdem immer wieder, es ist um die Ecke und die Preise sind in Ordnung.

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes kulinarisches Erlebnis in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war ein durch und durch gelungen. Wir saßen in einer der schönen Holzhütten im Außenbereich, was dem Abend eine besonders gemütliche und intime Note verlieh. Dafür, dass man draußen recht weit vom Schuss sitzt, war der Service hinreichend aufmerksam, wenn man auch ab und zu auf sich aufmerksam machen musste. Unsere Vorspeisen, zwei unterschiedliche Suppen, waren ein Genuss und stimmten auf das bevorstehende Essen ein. Die reichhaltigen Hauptspeisen überzeugten herausragende Qualität. Sowohl die Qualität der Produkte als auch die Zubereitung waren topp. Zum Abschluss servierte das Haus leckeren Julischka, eine sehr nette Geste. Wir haben nicht nur vor, selbst wiederzukommen, sondern haben dieses Restaurant auch unseren Freunden wärmstens empfohlen. Wenn Sie nach exzellentem Essen in einer einladenden und komfortablen Atmosphäre suchen, ist dieses Restaurant definitiv einen Besuch wert. Hinweis: Es handelt sich um ein typisches Landgasthaus, mit dafür hervorragendem Essen. Das Maß einer gehobenen Küche à la (ehemals) Taste und Reinhardts sollte man hier natürlich nicht anlegen. In der Westfalenschänke kann gutes Essen genossen werden. Ich hatte einen Bauernteller und der war sehr lecker.

Das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis ist super, die Portionen sind üppig und unglaublich schmackhaft. Wer Deko und Schnickschnack auf dem Teller braucht ist hier nicht so gut aufgehoben. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und lustig, man merkt einfach wenn jemand gerne arbeitet. Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist rustikal.

Wirklich super leckeres Essen. Wir kannten das Restaurant bislang nicht und sind durch Google darauf aufmerksam geworden. Unsere Erwartungen wurden definitiv 💯 überbetroffen. Wir hatten Balkanspezialitäten bestellt und diese waren wirklich sowohl qualitativ als auch geschmacklich super! Der Service war auch super höflich und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben hier gestern gegessen,das Essen war sehr schmackhaft,die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Trotzdem viel zu tun war,hatte die Bedienung immer noch ein freundliches Wort für uns übrig,was uns gut gefallen hat. Man fühlt sich hier sofort sehr wohl. Kommen immer wieder gerne hierher!

War überrascht wie schön es dort ist. Essen gut Personal sehr freundlich.

Wir waren heute zum zweiten mal da und waren auch wie beim ersten mal wieder sehr zufrieden. Kellner waren sehr freundlich. Essen und Getränke kamen sehr schnell. Es war total lecker und die Preise waren echt Super. Unser Sohn hat ein paar Bilder für die netten Kellner und den Koch gemalt und hat daraufhin noch einen Eisbecher geschenkt bekommen. Echt nicht selbstverständlich. Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Kann dir Westfalenschänke nur empfehlen.

Haben im Garten eine der kleinen Hütten bekommen. Eigentlich erst ab vier Personen möglich. Richtig gemütlich und uhrig. Essen ging zügig reichlich und mega lecker. Kommen bestimmt wieder

Das Essen war ok. Leider habe ich etwas anderes bekommen als ich bestellt habe. Mein Fisch kam dann nachträglich zum Tisch als die Nudeln schon fast kalt waren und dann fehlte trotzdem noch etwas was dann aus war. Es gab dafür leider keine Entschädigung. Nach Getränken wurde danach auch nicht mehr gefragt.

Haben auf einer Radtour im Biergarten eine Rast gemacht. Gute Speisekarte zu zivilen Preisen.
