Westerwieder Bauernstuben in Bad Laer

Wir haben hier die Eiserne Hochzeit meiner Eltern gefeiert. Das Essen war einfach klasse. Es gab zu Beginn eine Rindfleischsuppe, ein Gedicht. Bekommt man selten so gut. Auch alle folgenden Gänge waren sehr lecker, geschmacklich und auch optisch sehr gut zubereitet. Das Fleisch zart, das Gemüse knackig, der Nachtisch ein Traum. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die extra Zubereitung für meine Tochter ,die unter sehr starker Zöliakie leidet. Obwohl an dem Tag drei große Gesellschaften zum Essen da waren, wurde trotzdem ein 3 Gänge Menü für meine Tochter gezaubert , vielen Dank dafür. Es hat ihr sehr gut geschmeckt und sie konnte endlich mal mitessen. Auch der Service des Personals ließ keine Wünsche offen, obwohl das Restaurant voll war blieben die Mitarbeiter ruhig und professionell, Hektik gab es nicht. Vielen Dank an Herrn Schowe und seine Mitarbeiter, auch im Namen meiner Eltern. Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Tag , die Resonanz unserer Gäste war nur positiv. Das Essen ist immernoch sauber lecker. Und der Service ist toll

Wir haben hier einen wundervollen Abend verbracht und uns vom ersten Moment an extrem wohlgefühlt. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über sehr aufmerksam, überaus freundlich und einfach richtig gut. Besonders positiv ist uns die Speisekarte aufgefallen: Es gibt eine tolle, abwechslungsreiche Auswahl, und es ist ein großes Plus, dass die meisten Zutaten regional bezogen werden. Diese Frische und Qualität schmeckt man bei jedem Bissen! Unser Essen war schlichtweg ausgezeichnet, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und geschmacklich absolut auf den Punkt. Wir haben unseren Besuch in vollen Zügen genossen und können dieses Restaurant jedem nur wärmstens ans Herz legen. Wir kommen definitiv sehr gerne wieder!

Wir waren zum Spargel-Buffet in der Westerwieder Bauernstuben. Ich bin kein Freund von Buffet, und wurde hier eines besseren belehrt. Es hat durchweg wirklich köstlich geschmeckt. Der Service war gut, und die Preise angemessen. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir durften als Gäste eine Silberhochzeit in der Westerwieder Bauernstube feiern und wir sind begeistert. Das Essen war hervorragend, das Personal überaus freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Chef selber hat zum Buffet geführt und alle Gäste sehr freundlich begrüßt. Es war ein rundum toller Abend. Wir werden definitiv bald wieder hier einkehren. Herzlichen Dank für dieses wunderschöne Erlebnis. Einfach schön, dass es noch so tolle Gastronomie gibt, wo man das Herz spürt 😊

Auch Veganer werden hier fündig, auch wenn in der Mittagskarte keine veganen Gerichte standen, wurde uns ein wundervoller bunter Salat und ein Gemüse Curry serviert. Auch ein guter Cappochino mit Hafermilch war kein Problem. Gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Region sind!

We celebrated our wedding in the grand hall. Mr. Schowe took a lot of time, even during the preliminary discussions, and contributed great ideas and experience. On September 6, 2025, we were able to celebrate our outdoor wedding ceremony in the garden and then in the reception hall. And what can I say? Everything was simply perfect from A to Z. The arrangements beforehand were fantastic, the rehearsal dinner and wine tasting were superbly organized, and on the day of the celebration itself: everything was perfect! The garden was beautifully decorated. The reception hall looked fantastic in combination with our chosen decor! Super friendly service, top-notch food. The kids were served fries in a toy truck, which, of course, caused a great deal of excitement. The dessert was presented with fireworks – wow! More than we could have imagined. Thank you so much for this unforgettable day with you! We would love to come back! ☺️

On September 6, 2025, we celebrated our non-denominational wedding with the Schowe family at the Westerwieder Bauernstuben, and what can I say? From the initial consultation, to the rehearsal dinner, and the concluding event, everything was simply perfect! Our every wish was anticipated, and we were able to simply enjoy our beautiful day. The food was outstanding, everything was perfectly timed, and each of the 65 guests was more than satisfied. The service was top-notch, the staff were attentive to the guests at all times and fulfilled every wish. We would do it again and again, choosing this dream location and the fantastic team on site!

Celebrated 70th birthday today. Excellent from A to Z Food perfect, warm, well seasoned. Meat great. Soup like “nuts” Plus perfect, friendly service. It was constantly topped up without being asked. The boss always checked whether everything was OK and was always approachable.

We went here for dinner with family and friends for my mother's 80th birthday and can only recommend the Bauernstuben. Very comfortably furnished, super delicious food. The boss asks personally whether everything is OK. It's a bit hidden, but that's not an obstacle. It's also a great place to stop off on a bike tour, something we did years ago.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law live nearby and we've been going there for over 25 years to celebrate and stuff like that. Everything just fits there🫶 If you love high-quality German food, you can get it there with everything that goes with it. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you Reserved early. After a long time, my wife and I went out to eat again in our region (OS/GT/BI). This is very rare as there are no restaurants worth mentioning in the large area. The situation is different when it comes to the Westerwieder Bauernstuben, the only establishment far and wide where the fine art of gastronomy is truly mastered. The menu offers home cooking, but at its best! During our visit on August 3rd, 2024 we decided on the rump steak with a super delicious pepper sauce along with a selection of vegetables and fried potatoes. The steak came exactly as we ordered: medium rare "A Point" After visiting a few restaurants over the last few years (including in France), we finally got excited again. There wasn't a scrap left on the plate. The friendly and attentive female service as well as the homely atmosphere completed our well-being during this stay. We would like to sincerely thank the Schowe family and their team for this!

We came to the Ablene restaurant by chance, a detour from the rehabilitation clinic, we really liked it and tasted it, we particularly recommend it, delicious food and very friendly staff.

Very good restaurant outside of Laer. There are sufficient parking spaces available. Very friendly service and a small but nice menu. Delicious. There is even non-alcoholic Hefe Weizen on tap here. Gladly again. Cyclists also have enough parking space here and even a charging station.

Das Essen hier ist sehr lecker. Keine ganz umfangreiche Speisekarte, aber eine die passt: sie berücksichtigt die Jahreszeit und hat klassische bürgerliche Gericht. Die Preise sind ok. Achtung: unbedingt reservieren. Es ist immer voll. Die Atmosphäre ist trotzdem entspannt. Der Service ist freundlich und flott. Im Sommer auch Außrngastronomie. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

It was my first time there to eat. The menu is good.

Food quality inconsistent. Portion size generally good. However, some dishes are incomprehensibly small (e.g. king prawns). The staff is friendly, very hard working, courteous and helpful.

Enjoyed a great kale buffet with a larger group

On Valentine's Day we spontaneously got a table for two (thanks for that) and had a delicious meal. My wife had a salad bowl with turkey breast strips and was super happy with it. I had a Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes and found it really tasty and very well made. But none of this is surprising. We celebrated our wedding there in 1997 and have been guests there every now and then. So far everything has always been tip-top and delicious. The ambience depends on the space where you sit. From the boss to the service staff, everyone there is super nice and very accommodating. We can only recommend this location because the price-performance ratio is absolutely okay.

Today we found a restaurant where everything suits us. The perfect meal was brought to the table and served by attentive service. Quality and price are right. This was not our last visit to the Westerwider Bauernstuben.

Because of the separate rooms it is relatively quiet, which makes it very pleasant to eat there. Even with 13 people, the food comes to the table very quickly. The selection isn't particularly large, but what's on offer is very tasty.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit in den Westerwieder Bauerstuben gefeiert. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt, vom Besprechen des Menüs, dem Probeessen und der Hochzeit selbst. Wir wurden die gesamte Zeit über freundlich behandelt und es wurde jeder klitzekleine Wunsch von uns berücksichtigt. Unsere Hochzeitsgäste gaben uns die Rückmeldung, dass das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente grandios waren. Wir teilen diese Meinung ebenfalls und können die Westerwieder Bauernstuben sehr empfehlen.

Es is immer wieder schön dort hinzufahren. Der Service ist total klasse, das Essen mega lecker und auch ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Auch wenn das Restaurant total voll ist, bekommt man das nicht zu spüren. Der Chef kommt auch immer wieder aus der Küche und begrüßt seine Gäste persönlich.

Hier ist einfach alles stimmig. Ein tolles Team, ein Wirt der sein Handwerk versteht und eine sehr gute Küche. Was will man da mehr?! Das ganze wird abgerundet von einer Location in wunderbarer Lage und mit schönen Außenflächen. Hier fühlt man sich noch wirklich als Gast willkommen. Danke für den schönen Nachmittag!

Die Westerwieder Bauernstube war immer für gutes Essen bekannt. Bei meinem letzten Besuch war ich aber doch ziemlich enttäuscht. Ich hatte ein Rumpsteak mit Sauce Bearnaise und Rosmarinkartoffeln. Das Rumpsteak war in Discounterqualität und die Sauce Bearnaise ein Fertigprodukt von Lukull, die nach allem anderen schmeckte als eine frisch aufgeschlagene Sauce. Meine Bekannte hatte ein Gericht mit Röstitaler, die ebenfalls ein TK Fertigprodukt waren. Auf der Speisekarte wird man durch die Hinweise A,C,E, etc. auf die Fertigprodukte bzw. chemischen Zusätze bei den Speisen hingewiesen. Schade, so schnell werde ich dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen. Fertigprodukte gehen gar nicht !

Lecker, frisch und immer ist der Gast König. Besondere Wünsche ( vegan)werden auch bei großen Feiern liebevoll zubereitet. Hubert ist Vollblutkoch und sein Servicepersonal ist top. Egal ob im kleinen Rahmen Essen gehen oder für die große Feier. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir sind per Internet auf dieses tolle Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und haben dort an zwei Abenden jeweils das 3-Gänge Menü gespeist. Erstklassig zubereitetes Essen, eine sehr aufmerksame, freundliche und zugewandte Bedienung und das alles zu mehr als angemessenen Preisen. Die Gerichte waren frisch zubereitet, auf den Punkt gar und mit Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Es hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Vielen Dank für die beiden tollen Abende. Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind.

Tolle Landgaststätte. Super aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service - gerade in der jetzigen Zeit, zumal auch noch zum "Großkampftag" 01. Mai alles andere als selbstverständlich. Daumen ganz hoch!
