We reserved a table some time ago. The wait staff was very helpful in choosing a table – wheelchair accessible and sheltered from the wind. After a cocktail, we said our goodbyes, and when I asked if it was a confirmed reservation, they said yes. Today we discovered that our reserved table was already taken, and the wait staff member informed us that they can't guarantee table reservations. And the answer: "Choose a table in the back," I'd expect from a village pub. As I said, there were plenty of tables available, but only the one reserved for us was taken. Is this normal, or a sign of heights? P.S. Outdoor seating should be cleaned more often if possible. Because not everyone visits the restaurant in casual clothing. But even then. It would also be desirable if everyone received their food at the same time. With three people, it should be possible. What's strange to me is that the service staff sit at the table and say, "What's going on? Tell me." (Unbelievable) We've been there twice now, and we'll leave it at that. Considering the very high price, you expect more professionalism.

They benefit greatly from their location on the Elbe Cycle Path. There's not much else between Dessau and Magdeburg. The location and view are great. Upscale prices. I find the wheat beer for €5.80 quite expensive. Chocolate cake for €13... 😳 Service is very slow and inattentive. You probably won't want to leave the air-conditioned interior 😏

Hello Weltrad team, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with friends for dinner on Monday. I have to say, we all enjoyed our visit from the first minute to the last. We received a warm welcome and were accompanied throughout the evening by very friendly, courteous, and, above all, competent staff. My/our expectations were met 100%. Special thanks go to Hanna; she was always there to help and advise, answered all our questions and concerns to our complete satisfaction, and prepared a very, very enjoyable evening for us. All the dishes were of the highest quality. Best wishes to the kitchen team for this. In conclusion, I can say we will be repeat customers and will definitely be back. And last but not least, you 100% earned the plate. (I think Hanna knows what I mean -:) )

Expectations and Reality Unfortunately, I have to say that expectations and reality are far apart. When I go out to eat in this price range, I don't want to gather my cutlery from random containers like in a Bavarian beer garden. I also don't want my food on a tray like in a cafeteria. After all, eating isn't about the eye! It's a shame! Besides, it's never happened to me before that we were more or less thrown out at the end. Very bad form! For all of us (there were four of us), this was definitely the first and last time!

We've been to this establishment several times. We're always absolutely thrilled. The work here is of a very high standard. Last Sunday, my wife and I spontaneously decided to dine at the Weltrad restaurant – and what can we say? It was a hit! We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered, and the stylish yet cozy atmosphere immediately appealed to us. What really impressed us, however, was the food – a true delight from the first to the last minute! Each of us had an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, accompanied by matching drinks. The presentation of the dishes was lovingly and thoughtfully presented, and the taste of everything was of the highest standard. You immediately notice that the cooking here is done with passion, fresh ingredients, and great craftsmanship. We would particularly like to emphasize the fine balance of flavors in each course – nothing was overdone, everything harmonized perfectly. The service was also extremely attentive, friendly, and professional, without being intrusive. Admittedly, the prices are a bit above average. But anyone who values ​​quality, freshness, and a culinary experience will definitely not be disappointed at Weltrad. For us, every euro was absolutely worth it – we've rarely left a restaurant so completely satisfied. We're thrilled and will definitely return. The Weltrad is a true discovery for us, and we can recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food in a stylish setting.

Affordable accommodation, excellent cuisine

For me an almost perfect evening

Perhaps the best restaurant in the Magdeburg/Schönebeck region. It achieves the daring feat of compiling the most amazing dishes for its menu from completely different culinary traditions, combining them with a great deal of creativity and innovation. Small changes to the menu occur daily, and larger ones every few weeks. While the starters are predominantly Mediterranean, the main courses include Asian, US BBQ, and French recipes borrowed from Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is extremely selective in its choice of ingredients. The selection includes caviar, lobster, and the finest US and Australian cattle breeds, including Chianina, Wagyu, and Kobe beef. It's not surprising that the prices here are well into the upper range. The service is attentive and friendly, and the wine selection is excellent. What is missing is a homage to the guests in the form of an amuse-bouche, as is standard in Michelin-starred restaurants. After all, the prices here are comparable to those of Michelin-starred restaurants. The panoramic view of a particularly scenic stretch of the Elbe River completes the experience.

Superb ribs as a main course – a delight, and the crème brûlée dessert was decent. Service was very friendly and at least attentive, if a little overwhelmed at times. But we'd be happy to come back.

It's a truly lovely restaurant. We've eaten here several times, most recently for a celebration. The food is always delicious and of high quality. The service is also attentive and friendly. However, the prices are a bit higher here, so you should be prepared for that if you want to eat here. But we think it's worth it.

Beautiful location in a prime spot on the Elbe River, ideal for cycling. The restaurant's ambiance is very good, the service is good, the food is rather expensive but very good. The accommodations have potential: youth hostel-style, the beds are uncomfortable and relatively short.

Where should I even begin? I called spontaneously, booked two rooms. Paradise awaited us upon arrival. Only smiling staff. The evening was made even more special by the kitchen. The chef definitely loves what he does; how can anyone cook like that? The service is attentive and highly motivated, fulfilling every possible wish. The breakfast was very extensive, homemade dishes, everything your heart desires. At the end, I was able to call home and then fly back home. I fell in love with this place/property. Great location, everything is just right here

We visited WELTRAD for lunch. A great location directly on the Elbe and an attractive homepage raised high expectations. A high level seems to be aimed for here - with certainly a lot of ambition - but this doesn't necessarily seem to be successful. High-priced wines and lobster tail in a banana leaf alone don't make a posh restaurant. What catches the eye instead: cheap clothes racks with Kik clothes hangers, no menu (you get a piece of paper on the table), all sorts of food with no concept. The staff is very friendly, but unfortunately clueless. There is no recommendation from the house, after all everything is fine. A subjective impression that we unfortunately cannot share.

We were there on a Tuesday afternoon. It was very quiet. Nevertheless, we were denied a sunny spot because, due to a lack of staff, we couldn't serve everyone. So, we had to eat inside, which is a shame! Approximately €30.00 per dish, tasty, and manageable portions. Unfortunately, we were unable to order a second portion of rice because the kitchen closed 10 minutes ago. Conclusion: Great atmosphere, but the service still has potential.

The selection of dishes is varied, but the composition seems experimental. The prices quoted do not match the quality and quantity of the food. Many people can do that better. Too bad.

We went to the restaurant for lunch. Very nice atmosphere, great service from qualified staff. Slightly higher price segment but special menu. We had pasta with lobster and steak. As a starter, lobster carpacchio and beef tartare. Really highly recommended.

Room is big enough but far too noisy. That doesn't work at all. And no one needs 11 shelves. Arrangement makes no sense. When you go there and read the word manufactory you also have expectations. I think the price of the room and breakfast don't match. Breakfast was booked but unfortunately not prepared. It's a shame that could have gotten something out of it. But that's just how it was thanks for nothing.

Yesterday I was in the Weltrad for the first time. The location of this restaurant is super nice on the Elbe. The location is very stylishly furnished, both outside and inside. Even the toilet is very tastefully equipped. The staff is super friendly and not intrusive. The food is very tasty and very tastefully prepared (the eye eats too). I visited a restaurant there and was totally disappointed. I celebrated my 50th there and was put next to a mourning celebration. The service wasn't very appealing for this category. There wasn't even cream for the ice cream and the cake was cold and dry. It's really shameful for this price range. I'll address this there again personally

The location is GREAT!!! Located directly on the hiking cycle path on the banks of the Elbe in Schönebeck, this small guesthouse is suitable for one or two nights to explore the area during the day or as a simpler place to sleep for a multi-day seminar. The service is really good, the quality of the cuisine varies between "simple and lots" or "delicious and loving". If you order a la carte, you certainly have more options. Particularly worth mentioning are the streaming adapters, which are connected to the TV as an external device for Netflix, Prime, Disney etc... unfortunately these things make loud fan noises at night and flash blue LEDs wildly. TIP from the #reception: just unplug it and you're good! :-D

A trip to another world. We were coming from the thermal baths and spontaneously reserved a table shortly before the kitchen closed. When you drive through town, you don't expect to find such a fantastic location. I had the ravioli with ragu and zucchini. Excellent presentation and fantastic taste. My girlfriend had the rigatoni with cherry tomato sauce. I finished it all because it was extremely delicious, but just way too much. The young waitress said she had only been there for a month, but she was very familiar with the menu and was able to recommend the desserts well. Despite being full, she ordered another dessert: crème brûlée with mango jam drops. You have to have ideas. Wonderful! Yes, it costs more, but that was entirely justified. In the more than manageable gastronomic landscape in this rural region, there are some food hells where the prices aren't much cheaper. This is the culinary exception. But it was almost deserted, and all the other guests had already eaten. I'm excited to see what it will be like when we return next summer. The view of the Elbe is simply stunning.

On public holidays you always have to make a reservation in good time and still allow for some waiting time. To bridge the waiting time, there was free mulled wine. It was also Christmas and therefore very fully booked.

Already impressed on the first visit a year ago with a successful combination of craftsmanship precision, taste finesse, attractive location and warm service. The only complaint was the lack of a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu as well as creative non-alcoholic drinks. We were pleased to see that Weltrad takes feedback from its guests seriously. On the second visit, it was noticeable that the culinary repertoire had been noticeably expanded in terms of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as creative, non-alcoholic drinks. Meatless dishes impress less with innovation in the sense of new, exciting flavors and/or ingredient combinations, but rather with real craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, taste and visually appealing, modern plate language. The palate and the eyes are equally pleased. Another positive aspect is the ability to order individual side dishes or components of meat dishes individually - a welcome and flexible approach that expands the options for vegans and vegetarians. Pricing is on the high end but reasonable considering the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Service was never bothered by my special requests and even made recommendations. A remarkable willingness to respond to guest requests. And so the initial 3 stars increase to a full 5. A next, third visit is firmly planned.

Always happy to go there to enjoy good food in a wonderful atmosphere. The kitchen offers fantastic food and the service is open, fresh and never intrusive. Special requests are also fulfilled without any liability or statement.

Dear Weltrad am Fluss team, on October 12th I was able to honor your house with a pagan wedding ceremony with my charming couple - the Scots. I was warmly welcomed and served. Everyone in service was very friendly, courteous and always ready to fulfill your wishes. The event location is very tasteful, a lot has been thought of and, as a catering and hotelier who has a different eye for detail, looks a little different than a guest who doesn't come from the industry. One of the best addresses when it comes to food in the right atmosphere, highly recommended, thanks to the kitchen and the staff

I specifically chose the restaurant to experience a romantic dinner. I hit the bullseye. The food and drinks are of very high quality and very creatively prepared. A multi-course meal is definitely worth it, even with wine accompaniment. The service is attentive, really cheerful and not intrusive. I find the prices to be reasonable. The rooms are designed more for sporty cyclists, but are of course very clean. The owner seems to have extensive plans, so it will be exciting to see where the journey takes us!

The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is just lovely. I have to say the food is very good and fresh, but the price-performance ratio is expensive. But if the food is good, everything is fine. The rooms are negative: they still have children's beds, and I'm 1.97 m tall. Breakfast is only available from 7:30 a.m., which is a shame. Otherwise I was very satisfied.
