The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is just lovely. I have to say the food is very good and fresh, but the price-performance ratio is expensive. But if the food is good, everything is fine. The rooms are negative: they still have children's beds, and I'm 1.97 m tall. Breakfast is only available from 7:30 a.m., which is a shame. Otherwise I was very satisfied.

It's a shame, a shame, a shame... we were looking forward to a nice dinner, the weather was great, the location was nice but very unkempt. I also come from the catering industry and if I want to offer fine cuisine, then I also need the appropriate staff. The waitress was friendly but unfortunately they don't know anything about their job. The food was well prepared, but the taste was nothing special. Unfortunately, the only thing that matched the fine cuisine was the price. Please rethink your concept.

We always enjoy going to Weltrad. The food is excellent and of high quality, the service is very friendly without being intrusive in any way. The location is also very nice. Every now and then there are special events - for example the family sharing dinner, where you could feast your way through 12 small courses - so far my absolute highlight from a culinary point of view. Yes - the price is slightly higher. But that's why for us it is what it is: the restaurant of our choice for special occasions, which has never disappointed us even after several visits. Something you can really look forward to and not something you just do on the side.

We were guests at Weltrad again this afternoon and were once again rewarded with delicious food, excellent service and a wonderful ambience. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Magdeburg region.

We didn't stay overnight so we're refraining from rating... Food was very good for this region.. Modern... Good products... Very modern and chic... The hospitality was great... Great staff... attentive... nice... relaxed... A great selection of drinks... No cocktails slathered with ice... But delicious, good drinks...👌🏼 Ambience very nice, modern and cozy outdoor area right on the Elbe?! with lounge area... We'll come back sometime... Thanks

The three of us ate here today. We actually only had expectations of the view of the Elbe and we were more than positively surprised. We were greeted really friendly in a very nice restaurant and seated in a great spot on the terrace. There were some really good non-alcoholic cocktails and vegetarian food options too. The dishes on offer are creative and at least those we were able to try used fresh ingredients. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. We'll definitely be back.

We only visited the restaurant. We really enjoyed our time there. The food is very good and the prices are appropriate. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Special requests are gladly accommodated and without any problems. The ambience is great. I had green Thai curry. It was very delicious. The other dishes we had were also very visually appealing and tasted good. I just wished for a little more rice with my curry. Thanks to the nice team that made our lunch an experience. My husband and I visited the Weltrad in Schönebeck today and were absolutely thrilled. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the advice and service during the meal were first-class. The food itself was incredibly delicious and we were able to enjoy a beautiful seat with a great view. We can highly recommend Weltrad and will come back.

At the end of our bike tour we stopped by for a coffee break and ordered strawberry cake. I am a master confectioner and unfortunately I have to tell you that the price is €6 for such a piece. The cake is totally covered, with the amount of icing almost exceeding that of the strawberries. Also worth mentioning here is the lack of hygiene regarding cutlery. With the handles down in containers on the tables... yuck! Appropriate training for employees would be appropriate. Overall, more appearance than reality with completely exorbitant prices.

We had lunch in the restaurant during our trip to the Elbe. The food, service and location was simply fantastic. We would love to come back. The prices are certainly higher category but correspond to the quality of the food.

The location and view is really very nice and some of the employees are very friendly and try hard but unfortunately only a few, that's why the star is deducted, the food quality is also somehow getting worse and worse. If you order salmon and point out that you want it glassy and the employee replies, with us you always get the salmon glassy. Ok, great, but unfortunately it ended up being so over-fried, which is a shame We asked and the answer was, well, no... We accepted that but the fact that the salmon was still on the bill even though we hadn't even eaten it, I don't know... I also have to say that we were offered a new dish but we didn't want that because we didn't have time and we were then offered a bottle of wine that we didn't even drink... since we politely declined everything, we would at least have it out of decency Can take salmon off the bill.

If you have a lot of money you can also eat Wagyu and Kober beef here, but you should expect to pay up to €175.

This restaurant benefits from the location. Food was okay, but not appropriate for the price. Had tagliatelle with chanterelles. Drinks were okay. The waitress came to the table once too often for me. And we didn't understand why you were told that you should order promptly because the reservations for the chef were timed....

We had a family celebration in the restaurant, so I can't say anything about the rooms. However, the restaurant is highly recommended. Very nice atmosphere, large covered terrace, but also outdoor spaces, all with a view of the river. This also makes it a quiet location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. For our celebration, the chef created a “flying buffet” as the “main course”. We were served a total of around 8 different appetizers, all lovingly prepared and perfectly coordinated. That was extremely good. Clear recommendation.

Ate at the restaurant recently. In my opinion, prices here are far too expensive, especially considering the size of the dish. My 36€ dish was the most expensive but also the smallest dish at our table. My stomach felt it was more of an appetizer. Service wasn't in line with the price range either. Food took a very long time, drinks almost exclusively came one at a time and took a long time. Some were simply completely forgotten. All in all, I expect a lot more from the staff at this price range.

We stayed here at the end of our bike tour on the Saale cycle path and had dinner in the restaurant. The location with a view of the Elbe is fantastic. The dishes were a pure delight for the palate, starting with the starter, the main course and ending with the dessert. The service team was very attentive and friendly. Yes, certainly a bit high prices, but they match the quality offered 👍. Here you can feel that there is a team with love at work.

We had dinner at the Weltrad restaurant last night on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. The ambience is to die for and the food was excellent. We received a very friendly welcome and our very friendly waitress apologized in advance that it might take a little longer due to a breakdown in the service area. We thought that was very good because it meant we were prepared. We still received everything we ordered in a normal, appropriate rhythm. So we didn't notice at all that there was a need. We liked the food excellently. It was beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The prices correspond to the quality and service. All those who complain about the service and the prices here should look outside at the market, the prices have also risen there and I don't think it's easy to find staff these days either. The restaurant Nice location, pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The menu suggests gourmet cuisine if you trust the description of the dishes and the prices. The reality, however, is sobering and disappointing. The tartare is already prepared and is dominated by mustard mayonnaise. Meat can no longer be tasted. The same applies to Spicy Duck (from the description you suspect an Asian note), here the same mustard mayonnaise dominates the dish and Asian flavors are missing. The skin of the duck, stirred into the indefinable mass, is not crispy and the puff pastry that was served with it is oily. The fillet of Iberico pork, overcooked and without any roasted ingredients (obviously not fried), the sauce from the package. The delicious taste and the special structure of Iberico meat are undetectable. A pity! The prices are clearly excessive. The bruscetta and tarte tartin tasted good, but at €16.00 they were simply overpriced, as was the wine of below-average quality with above-average prices. The service tried to be friendly, but clearly had problems dealing with criticism. The young women take everything very personally and are still very insecure in their jobs. We spent 2 nights in the Weltrad and hoped the kitchen would compensate us for the very simple rooms with sporty beds. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and I can't understand the many great reviews at all. The breakfast was ok.

Absolutely excellent and friendly service with Adonis and crew. eat very well. Unfortunately the prices are the same as in Switzerland. The restaurant's atmosphere is also a highlight. hotel the disappointment. Bicycles can be stored in old sheds, bike hotels offer more. Hotel beds remind me of class camps and rooms of barracks. Elbe side is exaggerated, just a view of the terrace bar.

As a resident of this beautiful city, I consider it one of the best places to visit as it offers beautiful views of the Elbe. The restaurant is located in front of the entrance to a public park and is suitable for lovers of walking and running in nature. Of course I recommend a visit because it's worth it as there is a soccer field and a beach handball court.

The world bike with a large outdoor seat is furnished in a very cozy urban style. The location right on the banks of the Elbe and the Saline Island, wonderful walks possible. Very large in-house parking lot. Everyone who visits Schönebeck should have a look at this. Here you can score points as a host if you visit there. The atmosphere in and around the house is very tasteful and loving. The toilets are clean. The staff is very friendly, but rather inexperienced and therefore unprofessional. There is no panoramic view here. The waiters were there, but the two of us didn't notice that we had spilled a pot of coffee. We tried several times to draw attention to this with a show of hands. Unfortunately, this was overlooked. There were 3 tables with guests on the terrace. After we cleaned up the mishap on the table ourselves with napkins, we tried again to order a new coffee with a wave of hands. Finally I got up and went to the waiters at the door. Ordered coffee and it came. There was walking around the large puddle of coffee on the floor around it. Regarding the prices, I would like to say that €3.50 for a delicious Pott Café Crema is great. But the ice cream trio (okay it's homemade) 3 scoops of ice cream for €9.00, the scoop size was small, is quite expensive. There is no whipped cream in Weltrad. Conclusion for us - you have to have a look. But for the prices the service has to be a lot better.

Super great restaurant in a great location. You can look out over the beautiful Elbe with a cool drink and a crème brulee. I've already stopped and slept here twice, alone and with my family. I love being there. Very modern, inside and out. Very tasty food, no matter when and what you want. Highly Recommended!!! Especially big compliments to Sarah!!! You really made my evening ;)

We are super happy with our stay at the Hotel Weltrad. What was most striking was how friendly and attentive the entire staff is. We felt incredibly comfortable from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. The view of the Elbe and the delicious breakfast were a great start to the day. We would definitely come back :)

The Weltrad has actually become our favorite restaurant. As soon as the question arises as to which restaurant to visit, we always come first to the Weltrad. We have never been disappointed here. The staff is super nice, waiting times are always great and the quality of the food is always top. We'll definitely be back soon! :)

We stopped there on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 at lunchtime during a bike tour. The location is great. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. The food and drink menu was handed to us with the message that they would be there for us shortly. However, we were no longer taken care of after that. We were ignored. After 20 minutes we left again.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and there was also delicious ice cream. The Weltrad is a very unusual restaurant, here you can even get steak from Japan and China, of course for a corresponding price. We sat on the large, comfortable terrace with a view of the Elbe. Service was very friendly and quick. If you are looking for something special and have the change for it, you should visit the Weltrad once.

We visited the restaurant with 3 people and 5 dogs, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The furnishings are extremely attractive. The selection of drinks and food leaves nothing to be desired. Every dish of our 3 courses was excellent!

First class cuisine! The high prices are undisputed. However, our food was consistently very good! Unfortunately the service was a bit sleepy. The waitress was very attentive and tried to make sure we got everything we could want, but it took a long time until we had the drinks we ordered at the table. Apparently the preparation/bottling at the counter slowed things down a bit. Not a restaurant for a quick dinner, but we will definitely come back for a special occasion or to enjoy an inventive dish!

We went to Weltrad for the first time today to get something to eat. You can sit there wonderfully by the water and enjoy the beautiful view. The location is very nice, the waitresses were numerous and friendly. But look at our food. A pulled pork bun the size of a measly half hamburger for a whopping €18!!! Plus it didn't taste good. On Sundays there was only one type of cake to choose from, namely Black Forest Cherry. The small piece of cake was thawed and far from Black Forest cherry. In total we paid €36 for both with a latte and water. The price-performance ratio is not right at all, even if the location was very nice.

Had a really great lunch in the restaurant. Super friendly staff, high quality dishes that we think are worth the price and the first class location. It couldn't be better. We'll definitely come back soon.

Excellent cuisine, delicious presentation. 😋. You should do it once as a reward for “something”. Update 2 years later: still fully recommended. Quality of the products is excellent (Wagyu beef carpaccio with Spanish truffles), portion size at the level of a good country inn. Fresh vegetables prepared with love for the salmon, also not standard. Overall a perfect evening. And as always: unique location.

One of the few restaurants where you don't have to take part in what's happening at the table next to you. Quiet atmosphere even when it's full and a very nice outdoor area. The staff is friendly and competent. Not exactly cheap but highly recommended.

Today we were invited to a birthday party at Weltrad with the family. From the start we felt we were well advised and served excellently. From the various starters to the delicious main courses, it was a real treat and turned the evening into a lovely family celebration. Many thanks...also to the super nice and considerate staff....gladly again....

Food wasn't that great!!! Expensive but not great meat...

We ate there with the family and had our two children with us. The atmosphere is great, everything is very nice and modern. The food was also very tasty. Two stars deducted unfortunately regarding the children. There are no painting or activities to do while you wait. Unfortunately, there are no special children's dishes either; only when asked were various combinations from the adult menu presented, which the children didn't like much of. The dishes then came on slate plates, absolutely not suitable for children, as everything always rolled down their throats. In addition, the chicken breast for the child was pickled and seasoned "tasty" for adults, but it is not for the simple palate of children, which unfortunately meant that the children left hungry in the end. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, but not recommended with children!!!

Short visit for coffee, everything was great.

The ambience is great. We were there at coffee time and had booked a total package, i.e. coffee and cake. There were 3 different pieces of cake and small Berline or donuts and Kaiserschmarrn. What can I say, it was the worst cake (everything there was to choose from) that I have ever “eaten” in my life. Chemistry sends its regards and on top of that the price is far too high. Not again.

We visited the restaurant as a family celebration. I like the view directly onto the Elbe. The staff was really nice. The food was good, but I didn't find it anything special. I find the prices, whether for food or drinks, very exaggerated. They are not proportional to the portions. I cannot judge the hotel operation.

Whether it's a family celebration or a "simple visit" for coffee or dinner - always correct, very friendly and loving service and the food is very sophisticated, creative and always perfectly cooked to the point! It's always delicious, our favorites are the ribs and the yogurt chicken. The prices are justified thanks to the beautiful ambience and the top location on the Elbe. Keep it up, thank you!

The location is really nice, the service is friendly and the music is pleasant. Ultimately, my third visit was also the last. Unfortunately, I can't share the euphoria of eating. Mild criticism was vigorously rejected by the kitchen twice, even though we hadn't even asked for anything. Even the consent of the service staff didn't help. Unfortunately it was also a bit cold once you got a table right at the entrance. Overall, the motto “more appearance than reality” applies quite well here.

Very nice, modern, upscale restaurant. The dishes are very expensive and therefore not suitable for everyone. The food tastes really great. If you want to be really full, you should order a starter dish beforehand. Service was good and quite attentive. A small error was immediately corrected.

We were booked for a 3 course meal on Christmas Day at 1.30pm. Everything was going great at first. The service there is very friendly and accommodating. But when we didn't get our starter until 2:30 p.m. (after an hour) the magic was gone. Around 45 minutes after the starter comes the main course. Hmm, the dessert (apple turnover) was very hard. Couldn't work without a knife. After payment, without delaying on our part, it was 4 p.m. Christmas dinner will no longer take place there for us. We're usually there for dinner. This is always fantastic. Food is great. The service is always great too. Simply recommended. This review applies exclusively to Christmas.
